fernpelt. The sun was beating down on the EclipseClan camp clearing; the sky was blue, a slight breeze was wafting through the trees protecting the camp. The multicoloured tortoiseshell leader made her way to Shaderock and leapt gracefully to the top, limbs stretching and relaxing. Fernpelt gazed around camp for a minute until she shook her head gently and cleared her throat. "May all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here beneath the Shaderock for a Clan meeting!" she called, sitting on the smooth grey stone of Shaderock and curling her tail round her snowy paws as she waited for the Clan to emerge.
[[Just so everyone knows, Fernpelt's gonna give some apprentices mentors that don't have them, and Limepaw will become a warrior. If anyone else needs a ceremony done, post here please.]]

Littlefox
I'm hot, you're cold. You go around, Like you know, Who I am, But you don't.
Her tortoiseshell pelt gleamed in the light as Littlefox pulled herself from the medicine den. She nodded to Fernpelt as she looked up. She took up a spot beside Prophecyteller. Big day, isn't it? She asked him, smiling.
Spicetalon
Slippin' into the lava, And I'm trying to keep from going under.
when he exited the warriors' den, he lifted his eyes up to Fernpelt. It was too hard for him to picture Amethystar standing up there. So he lowered his eyes and moved to a solitary place in the camp. He could still hear and se the ceremonies, but he could look up onto the Shaderock.
Firepaw
Music's in my soul. I hear everyday, and every night. It's the one thing on my mind.
She bounded out of the apprentices' den, looking super happy. She was an apprentice, with a great mentor, and great den mates. What else did she need? Firepaw smiled as she looked up at her new leader. She was so excited for ceremonies. It was always fun to watch an apprentice graduate to a warrior, or a kit into an apprentice.
Cobalkit
It was cloudy on that night. There were no stars that night. Then the planets all aligned.
Usually, the grumpy kit wouldn't leave the nursery, not even fro a ceremony. But today was special. He was going to be an apprentice! His pelt was slicked down, and he looked very handsome. As he exited the nursery, he was walking very calmly and mature, until he tripped over his big paws. He stumbled and flipped over. He was lying on his back when he shouted, Mouse dung! He scrambled back up and shook his pelt. Then he slunk over to a spot by himself and looked very frustrated with himself. Why was he always a klutz?
Gillwing
She's the kinda girl that you see in the movies. See her in my dreams, Then she standing next to me.
The gray and white coloured tom exited the warriors' den with his usual grace. He noticed Glacierfrost and veered to sit beside him. Hey. He meowed. Do you know what this meeting's about? He asked the tom. When he looked around, he saw a pelt sitting way away, so no one could see her. It made him sad to see a cat who was anti-social. Maybe afterward he would go talk to her.
Sphinxtale
I was fine, ti'll 7:05. Till you walked out the door, and right out of my life.
Still shaken up about her mother's death, Sphinxtale looked around for anyone to sit with. But everyone seemed to be sittingtogether and talking. So instead, she sat by herself, with her head down as she waited for Fernpelt to start talking. The young she-cat thought about her siblings. Maybe she could spend time with them. But Toweringheart and Mavericksky seemed to be too close, and Mahoganyflight seemed to spacy. So she lifted her head and looked up at Fernpelt, willing her to start talking.
Razortomb
She's an underdog, Who lives next door to me. She's always heard, you won't amount, to anything.
Razortomb walked out of the warriors' den and noticed his daughter, Firepaw, looking very excited. He padded over to her and licked her ear in greeting. Then he looked around for Moonmist. He hoped she would show up soon. He hadn't talked to her in a while, and he felt like talking to her about absolutely nothing important.

Knowing what I know, Feeling what I feel, Nothing's gonna change it. Lonepaw
Lonepaw padded out of the medicine den when she heard her leader's summons. She felt almost fit to return to the apprentice. Her injuries were healing up quite nicely. Lonepaw padded over to Littlefox. She sat down, leaning over a little to ask Littlefox a question. 'Do you think that I'll be able to return to the apprentice den soon?' She asked. She hoped that Littlefox would tell her that she could. Lonepaw looked up at Fernpelt, feeling a little grief as she thought that Amethyststar should be up there. It won't be the same. She thought to herself. She looked up at Fernpelt again and nodded to her.
I've felt all the pain, I'm ready to run away. Mahoganyflight
Mahoganyflight was just returning to the camp, a squirrel clamped in her jaws. She heard Fernpelt and went to sit in the crowd that was gathering. She looked for a place to sit down and noticed Sphinxtale, her sister. She trotted over to the freshkill pile to deposit her prey, then went to sit next to Sphinxtale. She reached her sister, then sat down. She decided not to say anything just yet, knowing the tension that she felt with her own family.

rippedearA short-haired amber tabby stopped her bathing to look up at her leader as her call ran through the camp, the amber coat of the tabby was a dark red in the deep cool shade that shaded her from the suns heat just outside the warriors den. As she got to her snow white paws, her amber head touched the suns ray's sending the amber colours into a brilliant flame coloured blaze. Her cool light blue orbs looked like clear blue pools of water with black stones in the middle while they make the flames stand out. The graceful femme quickly made her way to a spot just a little ways from Glacierfrost and Gillwing but also a bit to close to a tempermental femme that was trying to listen but hide at the same time, she didn't want to get to close to Wintersand or she knew she would get her fur ripped off. stoneskyA pair of liquid topaz yellow pools shone from the entrance of the medicine cats den, the pelt of the average sized tom was to dark to see in the shady den but as soon as the male heard Fernpelt's call he slowly got to his paws. His pelt was clean but also dull, he had a dark stone gray tom with strong legs and a slightly twisted paw. He made his way through the cats that were already gathered below the Shaderock, he wanted to be alone so he sat in the back and hoped that no one would sit next to him. The male made plans to take a walk around the territory but he would have to wait until the end of the meeting. glacierstripeSilent steps made their way into the camp as a gorgeous silver femme with different shade's of gray streaking through her long haired pelt. Cold icy blue orbs glowed with hate as she felt the sun's warm rays hit her back and made her pelt glow, she hated almost everything now and was almost never in camp. She had even almost started a fight with the small Miraclefaith just because she wanted to see if she was ok, she made her way to the wall of the camp. She sat there waiting for the meeting to start while wondering if her apprentice will be made a warrior or if she had trained the apprentice long enough, she dearly hoped that Yarrowpaw would be taken out of her paws so she could stop training the apprentice. //. Aurrie.... when Stonesky goes on his walk do you think you could have Quetzal kill him?

"Yaaay! Ferrrrrnnnstarrr! Ferrrrnnnstarrr!"
The gleeful cry was cut off abruptly when Cascadepaw was met with a mixture of confused stares and chuckles. Her wide blue eyes grew even bigger as she looked up at Fernpelt, whom she assumed had managed to travel to the MoonShard and recieve her leader name without ever leaving the Clan. "Not yet?" she asked, looking around innocently enough at the rest of the Clan. Shrugging off her 'moment', Cascadepaw went to sit by her sister, who seemed unusually cheerful (although Cascadepaw was too happy herself to notice this). "Hiya Firepaw! How're y'doing? Have y'seen Maplepaw or Costanoki --" a loud gasp escaped her throat as another thought crossed her mind - one she just had to voice aloud... but seriously, which thoughts did Cascadepaw not voice aloud?
"Whatifwhatifwhatifwhatif, what if Costanokit gets apprenticed today? Then me and him and Maplepaw can all play toget'r! Yay!" [/blockquote]

~[Brackenpaw]~
The silver, dark striped apprentice walked out of the apprentice's den and stood near the back. For a while she had been trying to start to hang in the middle of the crowd but ever since the death of Amethyststar she had been getting to much attention, cats wanting to hear the full story, wanting to know if she was ok. It was just to much. She landed up going back to her old shy, leave me alone, no I don't want to be friends attitude. And maybe a little darker.

Rogue, yes, that's fine. bic;// Your tears don't fall y e w c h i m e__xx They c r a s h around me "Come, kits~!" Yewchime's motherly voice called out gently. The large ginger female had been part-time caring for Petaldance's kits so that the she-cat could grieve. The she-cat looked over at the lilac-dusted female with a sympathetic glance. "You okay?" she whispered, touching her muzzle to Petaldance's ear. She understood the loss of someone close to home, as by her own kits Cosmickit and Tallkit. Grebekit // And we're standing one and all fighting till we FALL // Grebekit flicked her tail when Yewchime and Fernpelt called out a Clan meeting. The she-kit meowed enthusiastically and padded outside. She saw Brackenpaw and a few other apprentices milling about, so she shrugged and went up to her. "How's it going?" the tortoiseshell wanted to know, blinking up at the taller apprentice. Her war-like eyes looked about and the she-cat wondered when Fernpelt was going to announce when she was going to get her name. Grebekit had forgotten that the female was pregnant. Who needed those insignificant details anyway?

fernpelt.Fernpelt nodded to each warrior, apprentice and kit that joined the edges of the small crowd that was forming. She was deciding what to say first, and resolved that she would tell the Clan about the bad news first, then finish on a happier note, with the ceremonies. She cleared her throat once more, and gazed at the different faces of the Clan, her Clan. "EclipseClan. I have called you all to this meeting today for a number of reasons; there is one apprentice deserving her warrior name, and lots of apprentices in need of mentors. There are also some kits that are more than ready for their apprentice names and mentors." Fernpelt took a breath, curling her patched tail tighter around her paws as a chilling breeze ran through the camp. "But before we get to that, we have some less cheerful news that needs to be discussed. For one, we have just lost one of our beloved, hard working Clan members. Sunheart will remain in our hearts always, and will be sorely missed. May StarClan light her path." she said, lowering her head for a moment of silence. When she looked up again, she carried on. "Tonight, I will sit vigil for Sunheart, with her nearest kin." she looked through the crowd for Beacansong, blinking at him. The tortoiseshell she-cat paused again, to let this sink in. After a moment, she continued, "One more piece of news before we get to the ceremonies. Troutcatcher has gone missing. If any of you notice anything strange when on patrol, or hunting, that may have something to do with her disappearance, please alert me as soon as possible." Fernpelt sighed, partly out of sadness for the two lost warriors, partly glad that she had got the worst part of the meeting over.

Hickorykit
I've been awake for a while now You've got me feelin' like a child now
'Cause every time I see your bubbly face I get the tinglies in a silly place
Hickorykit padded quietly into the clearing. Her pawsteps were silent, though they kicked up a small bit of dust around them. By the time she sat, a bit towards the front, she was cleaning her paws. She wanted to look a little bit nice. Her slate blue optics gazed around the clearing. She and plenty others were becoming apprentices today. The youngster had noticed immeadiately the difference between her and the rest: She didn't have a proud mother by her side, nuzzling her and encouraging her. She sat alone, simply waiting. The she-kit couldn't help look for Kinkajoukit. He was her only friend, the only one she didn't feel like an outcast around. Where was he?
[/blockquote] Barracudapaw Don't waste your time on me You're already the voice inside my head A tan form burst from the apprentices' den. Barracudapaw bounded in circles excitedly for a few moments before joining the crowd. He would be getting his new mentor today! It was like his apprentice ceremony all over again. That sense of pride.. Even though he didn't have a caring mother at his side encouraging him to do his best, he was excited. Would his mentor be as nice as Saberstrike was? He certainly hoped so. His former mentor had been his best friend. The tom finally placed himself beside Eternalpaw. "Hi, Eternawpaw," he mewed, his huge teeth slurring his voice. "Are you exfited to ket you're new mentor? I am!"[/blockquote]

kinkajoukit The patter of small paws heralded the appearance of Kinkajoukit. The small brown tabby tom hesitated at the entrance of the nursery, then took a few steps out of it. The young tom glanced around fearfully. Over the last few weeks, the call of the leader had announced bad things. Deaths, disappearances - what next? Kinkajoukit padded further out into the open, glancing around. He spotted Hickorykit, and his heart lifted slightly. The light-brown striped tabby hurried over to his newfound friend. When he was about a tail-length away from her, he halted, scuffing the grass with his forepaws. Kinkajoukit gave Hickorykit a shy smile, then sat down beside her in a rush, as though he was trying to finalize the decision.
Kinkajoukit heard Cascadepaw's excitable squeal. His insides froze. Apprenticeship? Today? He wasn't ready, he wasn't prepared... What about Hickorykit? Would she be apprenticed, too? The small tom trembled slightly as Sunheart's death was mentioned. Fear lapped at his throat. He really didn't want to leave the nursery. How would he cope without Petaldance?

Miraclefaith
Powder blue optics shone from the warriors den, the she-cat got up and walked out to sit by herself, a scar on her shoulder indicated that she had a fight before. Her eyes shone angrily as they made their way to Glacierstripe, she had gotten into a fight with the she-cat for being nice and kind to her. Thats what I get for trying to comfort an anti-social brat, Miraclefaith sat there listening to Fernpelt's news. Poor Troutcatcher.

Silentsong
I'm falling in love You tempting dove I'm needing your heart I'm falling apart The muscular tom emerged from the warriors' den, stretching and yawning. He'd gone on a late hunt last night, just to think. About nothing in particular, but just about life. His past, his present, his future. About his family, about Rosemarypool, what would happen between them in the time to come. And Casadepaw, his apprentice. He needed to take her out training sometime soon. He decided to sit next to her. "Hello, Cascadepaw. Would you like to go hunting later today?"[/blockquote] Hickorykit
I've been awake for a while now You've got me feelin' like a child now
'Cause every time I see your bubbly face I get the tinglies in a silly place
Hickorykit nearly didn't notice her friend sit beside her. "Hi Kinkajoukit," she mewed, a bit timidly. She could see the fear in his eyes, though she wasn't sure what about. But then as she thought, she figured it was probably from becoming an apprentice. The silver and white tabby wasn't afraid, but she exactly excited. She could feel a bit of adrenaline, but she was closer to indifference.
[/blockquote] Barracudapaw Don't waste your time on me You're already the voice inside my head The deformed tom purred. "Fame for Faberfrike." He grinned sheepishly at his voice. He sounded like a newborn kit with these teeth. He used to treasure them, for the kits and even some apprentices had admired them. But now they only added to his repulsive appearance. He rose a paw to touch the scar over where his eye had once been. The scabs were gone, but he was at a loss for fur there. A thick pinkish-red line was clearly visible, a permanent mark from the attack. Barracudapaw puts his forepaw down on the ground once more and glanced up at Fernpelt, waiting to receive his mentor.[/blockquote]

Brackenpaw jumped as the small kit spoke to her. She had been lost in her own little world and didn't realize that someone had bothered to come up to her. She twisted to lick her shoulder fur back, hoping no one had seen her jump because of a young kit. "Good, I suppose..." She numbly answered back.

I've felt all the pain I'm ready to run away. Mahoganyflight
Mahoganyflight bowed her head at the news of Sunheart. She felt the familiar stabs of pain go through her at the mention of the death of her mother. She looked up when Fernpelt told the clan that she would be sitting vigilwith Sunheart's closest kin. Mahoganyflight would be there. When Fernpelt mentioned Troutcatcher, Mahoganyflight's eyes went huge. Troutcatcher is missing? She didn't realize. She felt bad. She didn't realize that one of her own clanmates were missing. She bowed her haed again as ashame washed over her.

fernpelt.Fernpelt watched each of the faces of her Clan reacting to the bad news of the loss of two cats. She then gave a loud yowl to restore silence before carrying on. "Now, there are a couple of apprentices that need new mentors. Lonepaw, Glacierfrost will be your new mentor. Barracudapaw, you shall be given Gillwing as your new mentor. And Eternalpaw, Spicetalon will be your new mentor." she said, nodding at each set of cats as she announced the pairs. Spicetalon
Mandy always laughs when I act stupid. I am unaware that I'm a nuisance.
Stunned, Spicetalon stepped forward. He had an apprentice? But he had been acting like a total letdown since Amethystar's death. He took a deep breath, then touched noses with Eternalpaw. I'll teach you everything I know. He promised. Then he backed away, and motioned for Eternalpaw to join him.
Littlefox
And I de, One day at a time. 'Cause I just can't seem to get you off my mind.
Littlefox smiled at the apprentice. You can actually go back today. But no heavy training. I don't want to see your wounds reopened. She meowed. Then she turned to Prophecyteller. I could tell. She grinned. Yeah, the little kits will be happy to be apprentices. She remarked.
Firepaw
No matter how I try. Try to kill the time. Well, I think that I'm just goin' crazy, One day at a time.
Firepaw turned and tackled Cascadepaw. HI! She greeted her enthusiastically. Then she stood and shook her pelt. Coastanokit will be apprenticed today, I think! She meowed happily. Then she prodded the other apprentice with a paw, before hiding behind Razortomb.

[out of cookies] Sandy all I ask is if you could add a sentence or 5 to your posts? This is a semi-literate site, I don't even find that sentence under decent roleplaying. My damn phone number is longer than it!
Phantomlight's fierce white pelt gleamed in the sunlight, almost blinding eyes. His appearance today was spectacular, more so than usual. He wasn't planning on getting an apprentice or anything special, but he was in a delightful mood this sun filled afternoon. Although it was a tad humid out, Phantomlight didn't feel much heat. The sun reflected off his snowy coat. Phantomlight looked around for a certain splash of colour. There he spotted the ginger colours of his newly made friend Scarletpetal. Recently there relationship had grown, Phantomlight felt hot under his pelt with his nerves bubbling. Could this friend be more than a friend? The tom strolled over to sit beside the ginger she-cat, "Good afternoon, Scarletpetal." He meowed smiling, "How is your day going?"
To Fern- I'm assuming Scarletpetal and Phantomlight go out for a walk since he should be at the gathering right after this is finished? How about they do something the morning after the gathering?

"Yeah!" she meowed, beaming at her mentor. Fluffing out her fur in excitement, she imagined what it would be like to hunt. She knew it would be fun, but she also wanted to know how. Maybe you just jump, jump, jumped and hoped you would get it! Cascadepaw became only more giddy when Firepaw mentioned the fact that Costanokit would be apprenticed. Purring, the small but happy she-cat glanced around, but she wasn`t able to catch a glimpse of Maplepaw anywhere. Was he still mourning for Sunheart? She hoped not... it was bad for him to stay this gloomy. She was going to tell him that! [/blockquote]

Lonepaw heard Littlefox. 'really? That's great! I promise I won't intentionally reopen my wounds.' She got up when she heard her name get called by Fernpelt. She bounced over to Glacierfrost to touch noses. Her excitement was bubbling over. This day was getting better and better for her. Except for the news of Troutcatcher and Sunheart, this meeting was alright. Lonepaw looked up at Glacierfrost. 'I'll be a great apprentice, I promise!' Her tail went up with excitement. [/blockquote]

Petaldance The skinny femme glanced wearily up at Yewchime as she heard the femme speak to her. She smiled a little, trying to be strong. Sunheart would hate to see her in such a state, she had hardly been able to touch food since the day of her friends death and had lost a lot of weight. She was too skinny, her ribs stuck out of her pelt, now not as sleek as it ususally was. "Yes. And thank you, Yewchime, you've been great with the kits and all. Now lets go outside" she said softly, struggling to her feet and going outside. She looked around and spotted three of her five kits outside already, Cobaltkit alone. She went over to her little dark pelted son and licked his head gently. "Come and sit with Kinkajoukit and Hickorykit with me" she said to him, trying to smile before padding over to Kinkajoukit, nuzzling him gently. She spotted Grebekit but her daughter looked quite happy so she left her with the apprentices. Her eyes turned to Lilakit as her other daughter scrambled up behind her and she curled her tail around her. Her kits would be becoming apprentices. Petaldance could hardly imagine what she would do without them but it would be nice to be able to sleep next to Pantherstealth again. Her lilac-blue gaze looked around for her mate, wondering if he would come to the ceremony. Her stomach seemed to knot itself as Fernpelt spoke about Sunheart and it was all she could so to stop herself from crying, though she was unable to prevent a shuddery gasping noise escaping from her throat. She didn't meet any of her childrens eyes, worried she would upset them, so she stared at the floor. Oh, how she missed her best friend. Lilakit The lithe grey striped white femme followed her mother out of the nursery. She was no longer a tiny kit with a fluffy pelt and squeaky voice but was developing into a fine, slender female. She blinked her lilac eyes and after a quick hello to her mother she shuffled over to Grebekit and the other apprentices. However she quickly decided that Grebekit and Brackenpaw were having their own conversation and went to join Firepaw and Cascadepaw. She smiled at the pair, sitting down next to them. "Hi" she said to them, surprised by how unsqueaky her voice was, it was now more singsong and flowing, very like her mothers soft voice. "How are you both?" she asked, eyes bright and interested. [/sub]
