Kinkajoupaw turned around, his ears pricked, as Fernpelt began to speak again. She had just finshed announcing Limeblossom's warrior name. What else was there left to do? The small tabby's huge eyes lit up as his friend's name was called. Hickorykit was going to be an apprentice, too! They could be apprentice together! He watched, his chest tight with excitement and happiness, as she was assigned to Rippedear to mentor. The young tom quivered with joy. He glanced at Wintersand, before darting towards Hickorypaw. He beamed at her, something he did not do very often, and only for certain cats. "Y-you get t-t-to be an ap-p-prentice too!" he mewed excitedly, his eyes huge and shining. He hadn't been this happy in ages. Kinkajoupaw looked over at Petaldance, his eyes betraying with emotions. Maybe being an apprentice wouldn't be so bad... If he had his Hickorypaw!

Hickorypaw pricked her ears. They swiveled about as she recognized Kinkajoupaw's voice. Nodding quickly to her new mentor, she turned to look at her friend as he came bounding over. Her tail wove about like a flag in high winds, her optics sparkling with happiness. She was an apprentice, too. Now they wouldn't have to worry about the separation. They were slowly falling into the slots of similarity. As for size, Hickorypaw's growth had slowed down. She'd had a spurt in her kithood.

"I know! This is great!" she purred in response. If Kinkajoupaw wouldn't have been an apprentice at the same time as her...she wasn't sure what she would have done!

Rippedear's light blue orbs shone with pride as she was given Hickorypaw as an apprentice, her white maw bent down as Hickorypaw touched noses with her. She smiled down at her apprentice as Kinkajoupaw came over to them, 'Greetings Kinkajoupaw, you and Hickorypaw are 1 step closer to warriorhood. You both will be grand to the clan' The amber femme smiled sweetly down at the 2 apprentice's, waiting for an answer, not sure if she would get 1 from the shy Kinkajoupaw but she would at least try.

Stonesky got up from laying down, waiting for a little bit to see if Fernpelt had anything else to say he headed out of the camp with a limp and into the territory where he would be expected to come back.
