fernpelt. Fernpelt carried on quickly now, eager to get the ceremonies over. "We have some kits that need to be apprenticed today as well. Kinkajoukit, Grebekit, Cobaltkit, Costanokit and Lilakit, please step forward." she waited as the apprentices came forward. "I call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on these kits. They wish to train in the ways of StarClan and become Warriors of EclipseClan. Kinkajoukit, from this day forward, until you have earned your warrior name, you shall be known as Kinkajoupaw. Wintersand, you are ready for an apprentice. You will be Kinkajoupaw's mentor. Grebekit, from this day forward until you have earned your warrior name, you shall be known as Grebepaw. Pantherstealth, you know your kit better than anyone else in this Clan, and this is why you shall be Grebepaw's mentor. Cobaltkit, from this day forward until you have earned your warrior name you shall be known as Cobaltpaw. Phantomlight, you are ready for another apprentice. You shall mentor Cobaltpaw. Lilakit, from this day forward and until you have earned your warrior name, you shall be known as Lilapaw. Beacansong, you are also ready for another apprentice. I hope you and Lilapw train well together. And finally, Costanokit, from this day forward and until you have earned your warrior name, you shall be known as Costanopaw. Solsticesong, you are a strong and trusted warrioress, and I hope you pass these traits on to Costanopaw." she said, then paused as each new apprentice greeted their new mentor. "Finally, Limepaw, please step forward. I, Fernpelt, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. She has worked hard to understand the ways of StarClan, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn. Limepaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and protect and defend this Clan, even at the cost of your life?" she asked, gazing at Limepaw intently.

Grebepaw // And we're standing one and all fighting till we FALL // One moment, she was talking to Brackenpaw and the next, she was blinking in surprise at having her name called. The tortoiseshell beamed giddily and ran to her father, tackling him around the stomach. "Daddy!" she squealed, so excitedly that she had received her father as a mentor. She was so sure that she would do her best now, especially with one of the best cats in the Clan as her mentor. The dark-eyed female smiled brightly, jumping around Pantherstealth. "I want to learn EVERYTHING!" Her tail wagged side to side.Solsticesong This nightmare (This nightmare) won't last long. Are you scared? (Are you scared?) To sing this song. I'm right there (I'm right there) by your side. Tonight we've got a chance.
[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- She felt refreshed from her walk with her mate, and the she-cat looked up at her friend when her name was called. Solsticesong nodded at being named mentor, padding forward to Costanokit and touching noses with him. "I will see to it that you are a warrior unlike any other," she said quietly. The massive fae turned around and walked to Glacierfrost with a rather aloof smile. "You, too, are a mentor, love..."

costanopaw. Costanopaw. He was an apprentice! The patched tom-kit bounced over to Solsticesong and clumsily bumped noses with her, grinning from ear to ear. He nodded as Solsticesong made her vow that she would make him a warrior and then he stumbled off, over to Petaldance. "Mummy! I'm an apprentice!!" he said, bouncing on the spot as he glanced around for his other siblings.

kinkajoupaw From this moment onwards you shall be known as Kinkajoupaw. The small brown tabby tom had stepped forward with his siblings, and was now trembling, in full view of the whole clan. He swallowed nervously, looking over his shoulder at Hickorykit. Can't she be an apprentice, too? The young tom blinked his massive, light blue eyes as his mentor was named first. Kinkajoupaw hung back, his ears flat. As Grebekit became Grebepaw, and her new mentor was announced, Kinkajoukit wished that he had been given his father as a mentor. The timid little cat padded faltingly up to Wintersand, the cat in question. He ducked his head, trying not to meet her eye. He was scared that she would think him an unowrthy apprentice.
"H-h-hello," he mewed, his voice squeaking with nerves. Kinkajoupaw stared at his paws, his brown striped coat bristling and his posture fearful. His forelegs were drawn so close to his body that they pressed against his chest, and his head was bowed. pantherstealth The lithe dappled tom's face lit up with pride as he watched his five kits pad towards the Shaderock. He could feel his grip as a father loosening on them. Pantherstealth felt a twinge of sadness ripple through the pool of pride, but he pushed it away. He hadn't felt this happy since Petaldance had given birth. But somebody didn't look happy at all - his mate. The young warrior padded up to his mate, and nudged her shoulder. He draped his tail around her shoulders and licked her cheek. "I bet you Sunheart is watching right now," he murmured into her ear, before raising his head, waiting for his part in the ceremony. He knew was going to recieve Grebekit as an apprentice, and looked forward to seeing her face when she found out.
Pantherstealth smirked at his daughter's reaction. As she barreled into him, he picked her up by the scruff of her neck and set her back on her paws. "Don't worry, I'll teach you everything," he mewed, imitating her excitable tone, before touching noses with his daughter. beaconsong The thin Rex tom smiled as he watched the five kits totter forwards. New apprentices was a good thing. It showed that EclipseClan was growing stronger again. The wheat-coloured tom padded forward to meet the grey and white kitten that had been selected as his new apprentice. Beaconsong reached down and touched noses with Lilapaw, flicking his ears in greeting. The smiling little cat was, somewhere along the line, his cousin. Of sorts. Beacansong smiled at her. "Hi there," he mewed. "Excited to be an apprentice now?" The young tom remembered when he had gone from being Beaconkit to Beaconpaw. He had been so excited. But not all the aspects of apprenticeship were good, though, he recalled. The warrior remembered hours of cleaning out the elders' den. Not nice.
But he did not mention this to the young cat. He did not want to tarnish her happiness. Beaconsong looked up at Fernpelt. He knew that, soon enough, their kits would be born. He knew that one day he would stand here and watch his own kits become apprentices. The thought made butterflies flutter in his stomach.

Petaldance The skinny femme looked up as her mate approached her and nodded at his words, touching her nose to his. She felt a sadness at her kits becoming apprentices but knew that they would grow to be strong, able warriors. Worry gripped her when she saw Kinkajoupaws terrified frame. "Do you think he will be alright?" she asked him anxiously, beginning to fret over her youngest kit. She looked up and smiled as Grebepaw barreled over to them and looked at her and Panterstealth sternly. "Now i want you both to behave together, no fooling around!" she said, though she couldnt keep the twinkle out of her eyes. Who knew what mischief this pair would get up to. She turned her eyes to Costanopaw and licked his head warmly. "Yes, and a very good one too. But you better behave or I'll get you" she laughed, bowling her fluffy kit over onto his back. Lilapaw The striped kitten stepped forwards with her siblings as their names were called. She stood in between Grebepaw and Kinkajoupaw, pressing against her small brother and giving him an encouraging smile. She hoped he would be okay. As her name was called her chest swelled with pride and she stepped forwards to touh noses with Beaconsong. She was happy, as she knew her mother liked Beaconsong and he was Sunhearts brother. In her mind, that meant he must be nice. "Yeah it'll be great! When do we start training?" she asked him excitedly, her lilac eyes wide with happiness. [/sub]

~[Brackenpaw]~ The silver apprentice's ears flicked back in irritation. She might of had an actually conversation with another cat for once before she was interrupted by the ceremonies. She wasn't sure why she was feeling this way but lately she was extremely irritated by anything and everything and nothing was going right for her. She scrapped her claws across the ground and was ready to tear at something. Perhaps she should go out to hunt...

Breath in, breath out. Her warrior ceremony... Limepaw looked at Toweringheart, her love, and nodded steadily before stepping towards Fernpelt. Her heart was thumping in her chest like a caged bird, but she was ready. She had waited for this... and this is what she wanted, wasn't it? "I do," she meowed quietly but clamly. Her limbs were shaking. Her hair was standing on end. Her tail was fluffing out. Every sign that she was scared... and yet, she wasn't. She was excited.

I'm done with your lies The false truth you put inside me. I'm sick of seeing your face Everytime I close my eyes.
Lonepaw
Lonepaw looked up at Glacierfrost. She saw his signal for her to follow him. She followed her menor silently, taking up a place beside him. She sat down and cheered the new apprentices. 'Kinkajoupaw! Grebepaw! Cobaltpaw! Costanopaw! Lilapaw!' She chanted. to herself, she thought, Wow, the apprentice den is going to be crowded! She chuckled as she watched Limepaw's warrior ceremony.

kinkajoupaw Kinkajoupaw raised his head as Wintersand's tail tip brushed against his chin. In his muddled young mind he had an answer to her question, but instead he just scuffled his paws on the ground and mewed; "I-I d-don't kn-kn-know." The brown tabby tom flushed as his voice stuttered horribly. He had thought he'd gotten over his stutter. It always seemed to come back at the most inconvenient times. Kinkajoupaw glanced over his shoulder at Hickorykit. The more that he thought about it, the more he realised that she was his best friend. He hoped that Fernpelt would remember to give her a mentor, too. Kinkajoupaw managed a small smile at Wintersand's words. Him, a great warrior? He couldn't imagine it ever happening. But he was grateful that Wintersand was at least going to try.
"Th-thanks," he mewed humbly. The little tabby looked over at his mother, who was looking proudly down at Costanopaw. Grebepaw was with their father, and Lilapaw with Beaconsong. He couldn't see Cobaltpaw, but he was sure his brother was probably with his new mentor. Kinkajoupaw felt a pang of guilt for Hickorykit. He would rather still be in the nursery with her, rather than be an apprentice without her. pantherstealth Pantherstealth grinned sheepishly at his mate's words. He knew it was mainly by his doing that Grebepaw knew many of the words she did (mainly the bad one's.) Pantherstealth had never been one to be lax with his tongue, and if anything, his young daughter was worse. The dappled tom licked Grebepaw's ear than looked imploringly at Petaldance. "Don't worry, we'll behave," he mewed innocently, before leaning down to mutter; "Not!" into Grebepaw's ear. The lithe warrior gave Costanopaw a lick between his ears. He then looked at Lilapaw, Cobaltpaw, and finally, Kinkajoupaw. The small tom seemed to be getting on fine with his new mentor. He was relieved that Fernpelt had chosen a gentle enough warrior to mentor his timid son.
"He'll be fine, I know it," Pantherstealth mewed to Petaldance, before nuzzling her cheek. He was so proud. He remembered when his kits had come into the world. He couldn't believe that it had happened a whole six moons ago. It felt like only yesterday that they wriggling around in the nursery, blind and unable to walk. beaconsong The skinny Rex tom smiled at the young cat's enthusiasm. She seemed genuinely enthralled at her new position in EclipseClan. Beaconsong glanced up at Fernpelt, his golden eyes flickering with emotion. The warrior than looked back down at the quivering grey tabby before him. "That's good," he mewed, a purr in his tone. "You'll need to be pretty hard-nosed to survive cleaning the elders' den!" His sun-coloured eyes glowed with amusement. He was pretty sure the elders wouldn't mind telling Lilapaw a story or two whilst she was going about her duties. Beaconsong blinked thoughtfully at her words. "Why don't we see if anybody else is going training? Then we can tag along." scrawltale Scrawltale sat on the edge of the group, near her own apprentice, Brackenpaw. The rex she-cat was smiling as she watched her uncle's kits be apprenticed. Though Pantherstealth was indeed her uncle, he felt more like a younger brother to her. And she was very fond of his kits. "Costanopaw! Lilapaw! Grebepaw! Cobaltpaw! Kinkajoupaw!" She smiled, her yellow eyes lighting up with happiness. New apprentices, and a new warrior on the way. Life couldn't be better for EclipseClan. But it seemed one cat wasn't happy. Brackenpaw. Scrawltale rose and approached the large silver tabby. She nudged the downcast-looking apprentice's shoulder. "How would you like to go training after the ceremony finishes?" she asked, smiling slightly.
It seemed like Brackenpaw could do with a friend. And Scrawltale had never been one for strict mentoring, anyway.

Grebepaw // And we're standing one and all fighting till we FALL // She giggled and nodded when her mother spoke. "We'll behave!" she parroted her father saying "Not!" simulataneously with him. This caused Grebepaw to grin impishly before batting her father's ear and running off to see Kinkajoupaw and her other siblings.
"Oi! Kinkajoupaw! Don't be sad 'cause your girlfriend's not coming. You'll have enough feminine power with me and Lilapaw here!" Grebepaw's swirling black and brown fur puffed out proudly, especially now that she was an apprentice. In all honesty, she didn't really like Hickorykit? Who did Hickorykit think she was, trying to steal Kinkajoupaw away from her? Grebepaw knew that most, if not all, females were nothing but schemers.

Hickorykit
I've been awake for a while now You've got me feelin' like a child now
'Cause every time I see your bubbly face I get the tinglies in a silly place
Hickorykit grinned as she watched Kinkajoukit go on and become Kinkajoupaw. But a cold stone dropped in her stomach as she was passed. Wasn't she going to be an apprentice? The leader just went on to Limepaw's warrior ceremony... What about her? Her ears and tail drooped a bit, and her expression was a mix of alarm and downcastedness as her eyes met Kinkajoupaw's. Had she done something wrong? Maybe her ceremony would be next...
[/blockquote] Barracudapaw Don't waste your time on me You're already the voice inside my head Barracudapaw's face was betraying all senses of excitement. His paws itched to dash off as the words began. The moment his mentor was announced, he skyrocketed into the air, quite high for only one hindleg. Landing, he shot off and barreled into Gillwing, hitting him so hard that he bounced back a little bit. "HI HI HI HI HI!" he exclaimed, his face split by a crooked grin. After a moment, he flattened his ears sheepishly, but still smiling. "Sorry," he mewed before getting back to his paws. "When can we start training?!"[/blockquote]

Petaldance The femme watched all of her kits, some chattering madely with their mentors, others with her, bouncing around in excitement. She glanced up as she heard Grebepaws loud voice speak and saw her with Kinkajoupaw. Her youngest son. Her baby, truth be told. And he didnt look happy. Indded, he looked terrified. She looked at Pantherstealth and then padded swiftly over to her youngest son, drawing him close to her. "You'll do fine. I'm so proud of you already" she said softly in his ear, licking him softly on the head before smiling warmly at him. She hoped in her heart that he would be really be okay and she trusted Wintersand to look after him. Her eyes again travelled to her other kits. She was certain they would be fine. Looking up at Fernpelt she remembered with a shock that she would be kitting soon. She wouldnt be without kits for long then, if she was going to act as nanny to Fernpelts litter. Petaldance smiled at this thought. There was nothing she enjoyed more than looking after kits. Lilapaw The striped female looked happily at Beaconsong as he said they could begin to train whenever they wanted, with whoever. "Oh, i dont mind who we go with, i love all my brothers and sisters, but shhhh cos Kinkajoupaw is my favourite brother and Grebepaw is my favourite sister, even though she is my only sister she is my favourite" she gabbled, afterwards quickly embarrassed by how kit-like she had sounded. "What I really mean is i dont mind" she concluded, looking brightly up at Beaconsong. [/sub][/blockquote]

[/ul] eternalpaw She thought, a small chuckle coming from the she-cat before she glanced at Spicetalon. She wanted to go congratulate her friend, but what would her new mentor say when she just wondered off? The black she-cat decided to take the chance and started over to her friend. "Congradulations, Barracudapaw. I could hear you all the way across the clearing" She mewed, amusment in her voice as she looked at the tom with her cobalt eyes. [/ul]

Spicetalon
Spicetalon smiled at Eternalpaw. I'm sure you will. And I'll try to be a good mentor to you. He meowed. Then he nodded his head. You can go talk to your friends. I want to go training after this, though. Maybe bring your friend along? He offered.
Gillwing
Gillwing grinned at Barracudapaw and swatted him with a paw. HI HI HI HI HI HI HI!! He cried back, still grinning. Want to train? He asked. Then he dipped his head to Eternalpaw. Spicetalon, nice. He'll train you well. If he's anthing like his teacher, maybe you'll end up as good a warrior as me! He puffed out his chest and grinned.
Cobaltpaw
Cobaltpaw was happy. He was finally an apprentice, and he could get away from the annoying kits. He padded confidently over to his mentor and touched noses with him. He nodded his head and padded to his parents. Yeah, that's right. I have the deputy as my mentor. He meowed superiorly. Then he padded in a circle, only to trip over his large paws and land in a heap on the ground. He scrabbled to his paws and shook the dust off his pelt and angrily cleaned it.

// Petaldance can't mentor; she's going to nurse Fernpelt's kits when they are born. :] kinkajoupaw Kinkajoupaw caught Hickorykit's look and felt a guilty stone strike him in the stomach. The small brown tabby knew that his friend deserved to be an apprentice more than him. The young tom felt slightly reassured as Petaldance padded up to him. Kinkajoupaw rested his head on her downy chest, so that he could hear the thump-thump of her heart. He had always loved to do that as a kit. The steady sound had often lulled him to sleep. Kinkajoupaw looked at his mother as she padded away, his wide blue eyes tinged with gratitude and fear. He flushed as Grebepaw stormed into the scene, and shuffled his paws. "Sh-she's not m-m-my girlf-f-friend!" he mewed, sounding tearful. He glanced at Hickorykit, hoping she had not heard.
The young tom looked up at Wintersand, his face still looking slightly peaky. "C-can I j-just be t-t-trained be m-myself?" he asked, his voice determined. beaconsong Beaconsong's ears flicked slightly as he tried to keep up with his apprentice's excitable mutterings. He smiled as she stopped, looking flustered. "I had a favourite brother and sister, too," he mewed, winking at the youngster. "Sunheart was my favourite sister. Aspenkit was my favourite brother, but he died when he was barely three moons old. They were only siblings, so that might explain it." The young warrior smiled and licked one of his thin forepaws distractedly. Thinking about Aspenkit was still painful, when he remembered Lunardance's question. How couls anybody have thought he would involved with his brother's death? It had been a heartattack, foretold by StarClan. Nothing could have stopped it. Beaconsong blinked around, remembering that Lilapaw was there. "Why don't you go and ask one of your brothers, or Grebepaw, if they'd like to come training with us?"

T O W E R I N G H E A R T Sitting quietly next to Limepaw, Toweringheart listened to the full ceremony. He believed that Fernpelt would be a very good Leader, and she sure didn't have all that weight on her shoulders like Amethyststar did with Corbyn. He decided that he would partake in the vigil for his mother, though he had grown apart from her ever since Maplepaw arrived. It would be a good time for him to apologize to Mahoganyflight and talk to his family. Limepaw would be up all night guarding camp since he was determined to make sure Fernpelt knew that it was Limepaw's turn to get her warrior name.
And it was. Toweringheart had been going through his mind and thinking about other things like his mother and his siblings, that he almost didn't realize that Limepaw was getting her warrior name. But when she looked at him, he licked her ear and encouraged her to go. She was excited and he could feel it. It was the feeling he got before his name was annouced and everyone cheered for him. It was the best feeling on earth.

Limeblossom had never felt better. Unlike her apprenticeship, for this moment she was independant. No one needed to help her stand or help her be in front of the crowd. She was Limeblossom. She didn't need her mother or he mother's kittypet friends scolding her. And still, the tabby she-cat knew that the excitement would die off soon and she would be helself again, shy and quiet. But despite that, she felt as though it was all coming together. What she had worked for and wished for her whole life was to be a warrior. And now she had done it! She had been to timid to be excited for this moment until it actually happened.
Eventually, she moved back to her place beside Toweringheart. She breathed out, her chest falling considerably. She was a warrior now. A proud warrior for EclipseClan. And she had never felt better. [/blockquote]

Hickorypaw
I've been awake for a while now You've got me feelin' like a child now
