Pastelsky blinked and smelt the blood - the horrible smell, tangy and evil. The wound on her shoulder was nothing, nothing at all. Yes, it stung. Yes, it could get infected. But no, she didn't care. Her friends could be hurt, even dead, and here she was taking up space in the medicine cat's den! Hatred and rage bubbled up inside her, filling every inch of her body. The battle was over, and she hadn't been there to help for almost half of it! Crawling out into the clearing, she gasped as she saw her Clanmate's conditions - Thrushstar, probably ready to lose a life to StarClan, Hyenapaw, bearing scratches as if he had fought with TigerClan, and Jasminestar, her newly-named leader, barely able to stand on the Highrock. And then she noticed Mouseclaw. Letting out a worried cry, she bounded over to the grey warrior. Warrior. How long had she waited to call him that? He was bleeding, staining a small amount of the ground around him with red. Trying to stay calm, the she-cat licked his ear. And again. It's going to be okay, she told herself. But her heart was racing, and there was nothing - absolutely nothing - she could do about it.
ooc; Mouseclaw wasn't brought into the medicine cat dan yet, right? o.o;;

Petalkit poked her head out of the nursery. All the rogues were gone, leaving behind severely injured warriors. Her mother look horrible, in her eyes. She ran forward, digging her nose into Cherrysmoke's flank. Oh, mama, are you alright? Tears began to poor down her cheek. Are the rogues gone?
Jasminestar bowwed her head to look down at all the clanners. It was horrific, everyone was bleeding and limping. Thrushstar also was unconsisious. She paled underneath her tortoiseshell fur. Clanners, I first must thank you all for fighting as hard as you had. Because of you, we are victorious. We drove Chaosfire away. But I heard what she said. She will come back someday. And until then I remind you all that we must be extra cautious. We must train hard and watch our borders. She cleared her throat. I would also like to extend out my thanks to Brightclan, who has battled along side us. Because of their help, we might have not won againest Chaosfire. We are in your debt. She shuffled a bit on her perch. Ok, all those who were hurt please see Morninghawk and Cloudedsky in the medicine cat den. She looked around at her warriors. After the warriors have been treated by the medicine cats, I would like two warriors to search our territory and see if all the rogues are gone.

"And stay out, ya bloody badgerdung-filled traitor!" Ghostlywind exploded and then looked around. "Oy, Thrushstar, go see Cloudedsky, mate. She'll fix ya up right." The black tom looked to Stormfeather and Stormprowler. "Help me get the wounded off the field," he meowed and then looked at Murdercalling. "Oy, mate, ya okay? You look a little stumbly there," he said, nodding to the younger tom. But he saw that the other stood again and glanced away, padding off to help Thrushstar away.
Runningcloud's eyes opened wearily, noticing the taste of poppy and feverfew in her mouth and cobwebs on her body. "Aargh!" she swore, stumbling up. The mighty tabby looked off. "Jasminestar," she breathed, sighing in relief. She noticed Cherrysmoke stood by her side. "You fought bravely. Are your kits safe?" she asked weakly. "Octoberlies? Hyenapaw? And what about Ember--?" The deputy's breath left her for a moment and she struggled to regain it. Ears bent back at each hacking cough, Runningcloud looked over at the BrightClan cats. "Thanks StarClan..." The large tabby slouched over for a reprieve.

"I'm fine." The young apprentice meowed hesitantly, and frowned with a concerned look as the deputy began to cough. She heaved a long sigh of relief as she heard the battling cats outside silencing little by little, and the eerie silence of the after fight filled the camp. Her pale hazel orbs looking paler and sickly as more wounded cats were brought to the den. Thanks Starclan we are victorious. She thought, and curled herself covering her pale eyes with her long fluffy ginger tail, oblivious- or at least trying to be; from her surroundings, were every clanmate seemed exhausted. She realized how silly the wound on her ivory white chest was compared to the ones the warriors had received during the victorious though harsh battle, but more than feeling victorious she felt defeated- she hadn't really done anything to help- and the mood in the camp was of that of breathless warriors seriously needing medical treatment.

Cloudedsky was glad the battle was over. She quickly padded from the den and made her own announcement. 'Everyone who has so much as a scratch on their pelt get outside the medicine cat den and wait to be treated. I don't want anyone to leave this camp without being checked out by Morninghawk, Amberpaw or I first.' she said, eyes showing that she wasn't in the mood for an argument. There would be so much to do after the battle, and she wasn't sure they had enough herbs to do everything that was needed.
Foxtail was in a void. She could not wake up, yet a tiny thread was pulling her away from death.

Runningcloud stumbled forward, clearing in no condition to patrol but she wanted to do it anyway. "I'll go, Jasminestar!" she cried weakly, but in her exhaustion the deputy flopped to the ground at Cherrysmoke's paws. The tabby sighed heavily and glanced over at Emberpaw. "We'll start training right away, don't worry," she said with a wan smile.

Cloudedsky looked at Runningcloud with a Don't Mess With Me look. 'Runningcloud, you aren't going anywhere. Didn't you hear what I just said?' she asked, padding over to her and nudging the deputy up on her feet and towards the medicine cat den.

"B-b-but Cloudedsky!" Runningcloud protested, but the deputy was too tired to even think about ignoring the medicine cat's orders. The tabby sighed and dragged her feet to the medicine den. "Just give me a bed to sleep in. My injuries aren't as bad as the others," she said quietly.

Cloudedsky nodded towards a deep pile of moss. 'Runningcloud, you're a walking zombie. I'm treating you whether you like it or not.' She said in a quiet voice. 'What hurts?' she asked, looking into the she-cats eyes.

"Shoulders," the deputy said in resignation. She felt as if a badger claw had gotten stuck in between them. Runningcloud groaned when she sank into the bed of comfortable moss, bearing her bleeding shoulder to Cloudedsky. She mewled pathetically. "How's my apprentice, Emberpaw?"

Cloudedsky took a wad of cobwebs from the shadows of the den and put them down beside Runningcloud. 'Everyone will be fine once we have checked everyone over.' she said. She hoped Morninghawk was treating the patients as well. She peered through the matted fur of Runningcloud's shoulder and saw something sticking out of the skin. She grasped it with her teeth and pukked gently. It came free and Cloudedsky spat it out, a disgusting taste in her mouth. A long claw had been stuck in the deputy's shoulder. 'Maybe that'll help a little bit. At least one rogue will have gone home limping today.' she said. Then she brought out some marigold and chewed it up, squeezing the juice on Runningcloud's wounds. 'This'll keep the infection off.' she said, looking round to see if Amberpaw was listening. Then she took a paw full of cobwebs and patted them on, layering them over the marigold pulp. She then pushed some poppy seeds in front of the she-cat and nodded at them. 'Eat these and try to get some sleep. See how you feel when you wake up.' she said softly. She then put her head outside the medicine cat den. 'Thrushstar, come here and get treated!' she yowled. She had seen what had happened in battle with the leader and knew he was seriously injured. The snowy medicine cat then noticed Mouseclaw in a heap at the side of the clearing. 'Someone herlp Mouseclaw in here as well!' she said, not caring that she was giving orders to the Clan even though she was not the leader. She was medicine cat and that was enough.

Jasminestar hopped [almost fell] off the High Rock to join the other cats by the medicine cat den. When she heard Runningcloud's volunteer, she shook her head. Runningcloud, Cloudedsky is right. You must rest and heal first.

"Ghostlywind and I can go!" Stormfeather called. She looked at Ghostlywind and grinned.
Murdercalling staggered towards the Medicine Cat's Den, but tripped and slumped over. His breathing was getting more shallow by the minute.
"Murdercalling!" Stormprowler ran to his son and picked him up. He dragged him to the Medicine Den.

Runningcloud made a "blech" noise, but scarfed down the seeds anyway. She nodded gratefully to the medicine cat and smiled wanly at Jasminestar.
Ghostlywind smirked at Stormfeather's comment. "I don't mind," he said eagerly, grinning devilishly at the thought of chasing foxdung rogues around. He glanced around and saw Thrushstar. "Oy, Mornin'hawk, is Thrushstar gonna be okay? I'm gonna go on patrol in case them rogues come back, but I just wanted to see...," he said quietly.

The young apprentice shook her head slowly, a weak smile crossed her snowy muzzle as she watched the deputy- and her mentor struggling to help, but was stopped by the Brightclan medicine cat. "The Brightclanner apprentice healed me alright." She meowed- refering to Amberpaw- in her usual quiet tone, bending her ginger head to look at her crimson stained chest, now stiff from the dried blood. She passed her tongue smoothly over her healing wound so not to open it again, but to clean it from the blood.

Jasminestar nodded. Yes, Ghostlywind and Stormfeather can go. Oh, but don't you need someone from Serenityclan who knows out territory?

Cloudedsky's jaw dropped. She had been tending to all the sick cats when Morninghawk had been off somewhere, and she had the cheek to talk to her like that! The snowy white she-cat growled quietly to herself and padded over with the remainder of a goldenrod poultice she had made earlier. 'I'll let you get on here then Morninghawk, and I'll see to the other cats on the brink of death as well.' she said curtly. Her tail lashed as she trotteed back to the medicine cat den to tend to the other cats.

Ghostlywind looked at Jasminestar and then Stormfeather. "Leader's right, mate. We'll need a SerenityClanner who knows the area," he agreed and then he shrugged. "I can smell my way back here. When y'ar patrols go off again, they can renew the scent and keep a watch for them rogues." He glanced over at Morninghawk and Cloudedsky. "Oy, Meddie Cats shouldn't be yowling at each other's throats like rogues. Ya two are StarClanners. Y'ar supposed to tend to the wounded, not act like badgers in heat when something goes wrong." The black tom nodded to Stormfeather. "Let's head off then," he said, flitting his tail

Carefully to avoid the deep ravines at the entrance of SerenityClan camp, Ghostlywind followed Stormfeather. He heard the agonized yowls of the idiot rogues that forgot that the ruts were there and fell with the punishment of broken legs. "They're gonna have a hell of a time cleanin' this reek," the crazy tom grumbled. The black cat padded next to Stormfeather with a toothy grin. "I doubt them rogues'll be back soon. We sure gave 'em a round-a-bout tail-kickin'." He rolled his shoulders back and looked around for some onion. "Anythin' to get rid of that nasty stench," he grouched, hastily yanking up some and rubbing it all over the place. When he finished, he looked at Stormfeather. "Ya ear feel okay?"

Murdercalling called for help, blood trailing out of him quickly. If he didn't get help soon, he would die. His calls were getting weaker by the second, and his eyes began to close.
ooc:// Morninghawk? Come help!! Please?
bic:// "They smell like they went to Moonclan territory..." Stormfeather stood with her jaws open. No doubt they shot off that way. But there was another scent. "Ghostlywind.... I think.... I think Chaosfire is behind you..." She stammered. Stormfeather turned around, but there was no cat behind Ghostlywind. "What's wrong with me??" She asked him, her brown eyes wide with anxiety.

Ghostlywind turned around with a violent hiss. "What!?" he roared, growling as he tried to sniff out Chaosfire scent. He hadn't smelled her though, except for in passing. The black tom fidgetted and hastily swivelled some more, not more on edge. "She wasn't? Oh...," he frowned at the false alarm. "Oy, it's okay. I guess...I guess y'ar kinda agitated," he said, shrugging before adding with a toothy wild-eyed smirk. "Jus' don' scare me like that, 'kay? I'd hafta kill ya." The crazy tom halted at the MoonClan border.
"Well, I smell MoonClanner patrols and they've been on edge from an EclipseClan problem. I'm sure they would rip the rogues to shreds," he said, turning his head back to Stormfeather.

"Sorry... I guess I am a bit agitated." She smiled at the tom. "They have been a bit quiet. They probably would." She nodded her head in agreement. Then she sat down. "I miss Frozenstar." She meowed.

Ghostlywind shook his head. "It's fine," he said quietly and then looked at Stormfeather. "Why? Why do ya miss him?" He tilted his head, not understanding. True, his mentor was slain. True, his family was dead. He had lost many clanners in his life of 43 moons, but he did not mourn them, did not miss them. He acted how he thought they would've wanted him to act, to become their strength in battle where they could no longer fight.
