Sunheart laughed at Dovekit. "She just got a bath, Dovekit," the young warrior giggled, nuzzling him to the ground to lick the tomkit's belly to tickle him. "I've got you! Hahaha!" she grinned, romping around with him as if she was a kit once more.

Sunheart laughed and wagged her flank too. "We should go ask Corbynkit and Brokenkit if they would like to play," she chuckled, nosing Dovekit gently. She ran around him and buried her head in his shoulder, licking his ear playfully. "I'm gonna give you a bath too, Dovekit," she laughed, pulling him in.

I loved her more than you oculd ever imagine. I feel your pain Brokenkit. But she knows that you are in good paws and that you will be taken care of. She has never stopped loving you and you know that. So be happy. She would want you to be." Razortomb grinned at the little kit, "Plus, I'm also your friend!"

"Because your mother was in love with someone else at the time." Razortomb explained. "I'm glad you're my friend. And Moonmist is your friend." He pointed to the she-cat with his tail. He licked the little kit's ears. "Don't worry, just be a happy little kit and you'll have plenty of friends." He grinned at the little kit.

Razortomb licked the kit's ear. "He has lost his siblings, and his mother gave him up." He mewed into the kit's ear. "Your welcome." Razortomb gave the kit a toothy grin.

Brokenkit's eyes turned big. I didn't know...Amthyeststar... He knew who Corbynkit's mother was. But he didn't know that she had given him up. That's almost worse than your mother dying. Razortomb nodded and followed the young kit over to his nephew(?). He sat beside Brokenkit as Brokenkit introduced himself to Razortomb's nephew, Corbynkit.

Corbynkit placed his chin on his paws, silvery eyes clouded with thoughts. He looked up as Brokenkit spoke to him. He lifted his muzzle. "'Lo," he mewed, his voice low. The kit turned to draw his tongue over his shoulder, twitching his dark, feathery tail as he did so. He had not be born when Brokenkit's mother had died, but he knew the story. He wondered what it would feel like to know his mother was dead, and gone, forever. He decided, silently in his head, that he would prefer that to the sight of Amethyststar's cool, expressionless eyes not on him, but past him. Corbynkit looked back at Brokenkit, his head slightly to one side. |

Littlefoot thanked Sunheart kindly, and ate the prey slowly, savouring every bite. She watched Brokenkit and Corbynkit quietly, Yewkit squirming in her paws and protesting. Finally, she broke free, and bounced over to Brokenkit and Corbynkit. "Hi guys!" Littlefoot rolled her eyes. "Yewkit, don't get dirty!" Yewkit ignored her and giggled, batting Brokenkit with a tenative paw. "Let's play, lazy furballs!" She rolled over on her back and flicked her tail playfully. Her mother groaned and padded over and sat beside the three kits. She pulled Brokenkit toward her. "I'll be your mother, Brokenkit." She meowed softly in his ear. Yewkit stood up, shook the dirt off her fur and turned to Corbynkit. "You gunna play?"

Brokenkit smiled and batted back at Yewkit. He turned to Corbynkit. C'mon, let's all play! Smiling, he crounched and batted at one of Corbynkit's paws.
He stood up when Littlefoot approached him. He nodded at her question and smiled. Yes!
He meowed, Wait a sec, to Yewkit before trotting over to Razortomb. He whispered in his ear. Razortomb, Littlefoot said she could be my mother. In place of Lonelyheart. His eyes sparkled. That is what he wanted more than anything. A mother. [/blockquote] |

Corbynkit shook his head, averting his eyes from the other kit's. He backed away politely, leaving the others to play amongst themselves. The smoky kit sat down again, licking a paw. He had never really learnt how to play, because he and Selenekit had barely even spoken to eachother. But at least she had been his sister. At least she had known how he felt. He wondered where Selenekit was; was she even alive? Was she lost? Would he ever see her again? |

Yewkit leaped in the air and landed on Brokenkit's tail. "Oops!" she said sheepishly, giggling quietly. Littlefoot smiled at Brokentail and Razortomb, and flicked her tail at Yewkit, who jumped after it. She caught it and worried it with her teeth. Littlefoot flicked it away. "Careful, Yewkit." She meowed simply, prodding her ginger daughter, who rolled over.

Sunheart shook her head. "Kits and apprentices aren't allowed in the warrior's den, but if you want, I'll stay here in the nursery with you. I'm not a queen, but I hope to be one in the future. Maybe you can mentor my kits, Dove'tune'," she said kindly, nuzzling the kit's pelt. She looked up at Littlefoot. "I hope you don't mind if I kip with you, Littlefoot," she said to the other she-cat.
