Avala felt free as she padded awat from the park. She jumped upon a rock, letting th wind whisp agianst he scarred face. As she closed her eyes, her emotions crashed into her. Why was this tom, the one that had unconditanally taken her into his family, come so strong to her? The scent of his pelt, the eyes that always seem to be thinking of something else. Why was she taken aback by him when ever he was close?

Cutthroat followed after Avala, gazing at her with interest. "You must really hate being around so many cats..." He meowed. "You look like you feel a lot better away from them. Did you change your mind...?" He asked curiously, flicking the tip of his tail.

Avala turned around as she heard Cutthroat's voice, shaking her head. "No. I haven't changed my mind. I've just never felt this free before" She mewed, turning around agian and letting the wind rush across her muzzle, her eyes were bright agian as she turned back to the tom. "So tell me, what was your kithood like?" She asked.

Cutthroat sighed and sat down. "Brutal. Eros was even more messed up than he is now. My dad insisted that we learn what our family was known for: Killing brutally. I didn't really like it much, but I tried hard. Lycan was indifferent, it earned her points and it was expected of her. Eros was just too good at it. I left the clan, but got the s**t beaten out of me by badgers. Lycan managed to save me though...I guess I can be thankful for that..." He sighed. "But my kithood, in short, was just fucked." He admitted with a feeble grin.

Avala nodded, understanding what it might have been like. She had the same past. Her own family was known for killing cats that didn't deserve death in such a painful way. Even though she tried, the small black she-cat always failed to be on her father's good side, resulting in scars that lined her body and the gash across her left eye. "I had the same past as you. Only, when I failed, I was hurt. " She mewed as she sat down, curling her tail around her front paws. "My brothers were kind, though. They helped me escape from that painful place

A grin found its way onto Cutthroat's face. "That's good though." He mewed before suddenly adding "Not that you got hurt when you made a mistake--I mean that you managed to get away." His fur heated up rapidly, utterly mortified. What a foolish mistake! His fur heated up, a blush blazing across his skin beneath his deep gray pelt.

Avala nodded, flicking her tail nervously, turning to lick one of her many scars that were scattered across her body. "I got away, but I'm on the run, from whoever my parents decided to send after me." She mewd, her eyes suddenly filled with her nervousness that had been hidden away. She glanced at Cutthroat, hoping to whoever watched over her, that he wasn't someone that was after her. Someone that her family might have put on this mission to capture her to bring her back. She shuddered, turning her eyes away.

Cutthroat narrowed his eyes, unsheathing his claws. "I wouldn't worry if I were you." He informed her, pinning back his ears. "It's safe to say that I'm your friend, and being who I am I don't intend to let anyone get who's going to cause you harm get so much as within eye-sight of you." He vowed, hiding the affection for her in his eyes behind a fiery loyal pride.

Avala stared at the tom for a moment, her eyes locking with his for the shortest moment before she looked past the tom, letting her eyes settle upon the sun that set behind him. "That's quiet kind of you." She mewed softly, a red tint coming to her cheeks as she glanced back at Cutthroat, listening to the soft sound of her uneasy heartbeat. "And why would you do that? Why would you defend a scrap of crowfood like myself?" She asked, cocking her head.

Cutthroat stood up, trying to look noble. "Because." He explained "You aren't crowfood yet and therefore you ought not to be treated like you are." The fire in his eyes bloomed like thousands of roses in springtime. "I don't know why you think you are." He added, narrowing his eyes. "You need to forget about your past, no matter how tragic." "I know that. I'm trying to forget my pat. But every little thing I do...." Avala trailed off as the wind whipped past her, knocking her off her feet. Her eyes were wide as she stumbled to her paws, staring at the beast behind Cutthroat. "Badger! Cuttroat, run!"She yelled as she started towards the black and white imal, going at it's weak eyes and watching the claws, unsheathed forever more.

Cuttrhoat's eyes widened in shock. What the f**k was one of these damn things doing here?!? Fur bristling and claws unsheathed, the tomcat prepared to attack. "I'm not going anywhere. I'm going to kill this thing." He growled, totally forgetting the situation. Ever since that fateful day when he was young, the tomcat vowed he would kill any badger he laid eyes upon due to the loss of his tail and nearly his death. "You want to help me, Avala??" He offered, about to leap at the massive beast.

She didn't here the tom's words as she rushed towards the badger, her claws slowly unsheathing. Jumping towards the animal, her paws were outstreched, hoping that her claws would meet the flesh of the badger. All she met, though, was the hard ground before a unsheathed paw came crushing down upon her side. Ribs would definatly be broken. The badger's small eyes narowed in on Cutthroat, starting to lumber towards the other cat.

Cutthroat gave a furious caterwaul as he lunged for the badger's face, his claws hitting his mark, the animal's left eye. The beast roared in agony as the cat's claws dug deeper into the sphere that connected to the dense animal's brain. Swiftly the beast flung him off, sending him flying into the wall of the cave with a grunt, blood leaking down the side of it's face as it shook its head, reeling around.
