s o r r o w f r o s t rip out the wings of a butterfly for your soul
Those of the female gender were so fragile when it came to emotions, if anything it was amusing. So many things to tell Firestar, but I took my time, I had no limits to how long I could spend here. Time, it was such a waste, there was no harm in sometimes being a little late. Yet, were any of my responses appropriate, would they show my true self? Most likely not. Unlucky I may be, the only recent unlucky event to befall me must have been recent events. Once again, I kept my thoughts to myself as I remained silent for a moment longer. There were many things I could say, some nice, some not so nice. As if I really cared how I made her feel, I cared for few, and she didnt happen to be one of them. No, that wasn't true, I did care, but what had I become?
A monster.
But I could wonder about everything for the rest of my d**ned life and what good would it do? My thoughts didn't reflect those of many others which, in such cases, mattered not. My companions confusion had settled though it was entirely possible to ignore this cat, oh how immature of me. No it was much better to face these kinds of things, and I could be rational, if the occasion called for it. Then there was the ones of the male gender, those being the ones I wasn't quite so fond of. Most of their ambitions, or so it seemed was to up their ego. Such actions disgusted me if anything, such corrupted goals in life. I approved of very few feline, and even fewer of the opposite gender, no I wasn't biased, but most were idiots off the bat and continued to be as time wore on, which was why I had never really been attached, there was no point in such things.
But that was just how I saw it, none the less, I thought high of my opinions, not that they mattered anyways. My voice was not important to any part of society, not that I cared. The whole 'think before you speak' thing didnt apply to myself, for I was so open minded I spoke exactly what I thought regardless, or most of the time anyways. Who was to stop me? No one, I had my own mind and could therefore say what I liked, when I chose to, simple as that. Though, it was pigheaded of me to think so highly of myself, I didnt really care at this point in life, I would do what I wanted, because I could. No matter, I was free to do as I pleased, none could control my actions, and none ever would, I was no robot to push around and act as a slave, serving the every request of my master. This just went to prove how carefree I was.

A call sounded from her den as Firestar exited. Sorrowfrost! Come in! She meowed, padding back into her den and beckoning with her tail. She lay down in the moss and meowed, Please, speak what's on your mind. She smiled encouragingly.

s o r r o w f r o s t rip out the wings of a butterfly for your soul
Many personalities would clash, just like it was to be assumed that one clan could never get along with another clan and vice versa. What caused such a rift? It was almost like sterotypes. It would almost be an insult to suggest all mingle, it was not such a way and perhaps never would be. Sort of like having your preps, the snobby pretty ones who thought themselves above the rest, popular as they may be, they amounted to nothing in the end, not to her. Of course ypou cant forget the jocks, excellent in the sports and alays going for the shallow preps. Taking in awards for just about anything sports related and praised for their 'abilities', which would be? Kicking a ball into a net? Cant forget those labelled the geeks and nerds, so smart with their straight A's and technology, always the teachers favourite. Then we come upon those called the punks, the rebellious ones who were set aside form all others, misunderstood and yet accomplished in their own way, I might be considered one of them. I danced to her own beat, I was my own mind.
The blink of one azul eye and all washed away, the emotion drained from the facade placed upon this creature. This soul was one quite unlike any other. Through the hardships of heartbreak, letdowns and death I had been alone. None had been there to ease the pain or release me from my nightmares. Oh how I had longed for someone to sweep me off my feet, take away all the hurt deep within and love me for who I really was. I was no complicated soul, and I wished only for the simple things in life. No, the title of even leader was not a desire, they were only labels, and labels belonged on soup cans. All my hopes were set on finding atleast one, who would always be there, not judge me for my actions and choices. I had her own mind, I could speak, think and act for myself, I only need some support along the way, something my life had truly lacked. Maybe today was not the day, possibly not even tomorrow, yet there had to be someone out there, who could show me the compassion and caring I dreamed of.
I must apologize, for my lack of support as of late, though I can assure you that for the time being, you can count on me being here.

Firestar dipped her head to her deputy. I was wondering what had happened to you. You have always been my noble deputy, then you vanished. If you do not want to tell me what happened, there is no need. She dipped her head to her successor. The she-cat motioned for Sorrowfrost to follow her out of her den. Can you organize some patrols today please? She asked her deputy, smiling.

s o r r o w f r o s t rip out the wings of a butterfly for your soul
Of course things would go from bad to worse when you thought it couldnt get any worse then that and yet they still do. Dont slow down when your scared, if your lucky you might just escape the devils chasing after you, just keep on going. I had been down that deep black abyss and felt the power of a million demons as they reached out to grab my soul. I had fallen for the trap laid out for me. The good news was, out there somewhere was an angel waiting to help you get back up on your feet, you just had to find them. In so many ways, Scorchedleaf, my father, had been my angel. He had helped me get back on my feet when I thought no one else could. If anything he was my guardian angel, or so I would like to think, and I would always be there for him no matter what.
It was the rain that I could relate to the most, and how the many millions of waterdroplets that fell steadily towards the earth, were much like the tears I had cried over and over again to mend my broken heart. My way of coping was to release all emotion and breakdown, and in doing so I cried many tears for them, but had they ever given a second thought to me? Or had they been off with some other while as I lay bruised, broken and spilling my heart out for all to see. This, I would never know, and at the moment, did any of it matter? They were only a thing of the past and to wonder over them now was a simple waste of my time. They were hardly worth wondering about, when there were so many more things to spend my time thinking of.
Though they say you must obey your leader, had she demanded what had been wrong with me, I could not have told. This was what made me grateful she brushed it off smoothly rather then drag out what could have been quite the battle between leader and deputy.
Of course, anything you ask of me.

Firestar looked at her deputy. Thank you. She brushed her tail tip as she moved past her deputy. She bounded up onto the Highrock. Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather here for a clan meeting! She had howled, then waited for her clan to come. As she did, she thought of what she could say. Excitement welled up inside of her as she thought of the meeting that was going to take place.
The charcoal apprentice gathered his thoughts and padded out of the apprentices' den. He waited for his best friend, Ravenpaw, to follow him. As he did, he thought of how many times they could have fallen through, if it weren't for their close bond. He purred slightly at the thought, and smiled.
Werewolf padded from the tunnel and sat down to wait for an order. He looked around, and saw the deputy standing with the leader. Then Firestar bounded onto the highrock, and called for her clan. He smiled, and turned to her.

A tabby brown shape slipped out of the warriors den after hearing her leader call. Green and yellow eyes looked happily up to see Sorrowfrost standing by her leader. Mudfur smiled and sat at the side of the Highrock, looking up at her leader with happiness sparkling in her eyes.
A thin black shape trotted into the clearing with a rabbit and mouse in his paws. Ghostnight set his kill on the pile and sat by Mudfur with much curiosity.
Orange-red eyes on a silver head poked out of the apprentices den. Curiosity struck her strange eyes as Firestar called the meeting. Dovepaw looked from her mentor to the strange cat standing by her leader and back. What could this be about?

The lean shape of Darkmagic slipped out of the warriors den. Hazel orbs searched the camp for Saintcalling and Shadowprowler, her two friends. She did sometimes wonder if she would like having a female friend but none of the she-cats seemed interested in her and anyway, she got on well with Saintcalling and Shadowprowler. Not seeing the two toms anywhere the black and white she-cat sat down in the middle of the clearing, gazing up at Firestar as she waited for the ceremony to begin.
Rosepaw happily bounced out of the apprentices den, summoned by her leaders call. The small light orange cat looked around for someone to sit with, Cardinalpaw, Icepaw or Spectreflame maybe. Or Salmoncrest. Rosepaw couldnt really see anyone to sit beside, but this didnt dampen her happy spirits. For some reason she was just in a good mood today. Sitting down with a thump near the middle of the clearing she turned her sparkling green eyes to Firestar, her tail twitching happily as she waited for more cats to appear so Firestar could begin speaking.[/blockquote]

"Darkmagic..." His voice was haunting. Saintcalling's brillant eyes opened as he came up behind her, his tuxedo pelt melding with hers. His smile was one of thin lips and an ear twitch but at least it held some type of warmth.
Cardinalpaw bounced out of the apprentice's den and nearly collided with his sister Rosepaw. The tomcat grinned impishly and meowed in greeting. "Hi, Rosepaw!" the male said. He was in a good mood today.
Crestedfire's bright eyes lifted when he heard Firestar's caterwaul but waited patiently for Spectreflame. "Ladies first," he said politely, holding out his paw from his place at the exit of the warrior's den.

Ravenpaw padded from the apprentices' den after Orochipaw. Her long, coal-coloured fur was sleek and neatly groomed, and her ice-blue eyes looked up at Firestar with interest. She was no longer the naive kit, the nervous appentice; she was an adult, granted, a young adult, but an adult. Ravenpaw gave Orochipaw a nudge, before sitting. Her feathery black plume of a tail curled around her small, dark forepaws. The she-cat looked up at Firestar, wondering what this ceremony was all about. Was there perhaps any news on Selenekit? Ravenpaw felt a cold breeze chill her, and pressed closer to Orochipaw for warmth.
Avenskit's little head poked from the nursery, his indigo eyes wide and bright. The silvery tabby tom squeezed from the confines of the den, and shook himself. His bright tabby fur glittered in the dull sunlight. Avenskit looked around, wide eyed. The young tom patted at the ground with a paw, savouring his moment of freedom. He was sure his mother would appear any moment and make him go back inside. Avenskit glanced back into the gloom. Where was Clarykit? The silver tabby kitten sat down and peered up at Firestar, wondering whether he would be allowed to watch the ceremony.
A wry smile curled Spectreflame's muzzle as she looked at Crestedfire. The muscular white she-cat padded out of the den, before turning and waiting for the big ginger tomcat. "And men just before," she mewed, her fierce voice filled with amusement. Spectreflame searched for a space in the crowd with her sharp ice-blue eyes, and spotted one near Cardinalpaw and Rosepaw. Spectreflame trotted towards it, beckoning Crestedfire with her long, feathery white tail. She sat down beside Rosepaw and smiled down at her apprentice. "Hi, you," she greeted the young she-cat.

"Thanks." Crestedfire blushed heatedly and plodded after Spectreflame. He assured himself that she was comfortable before sitting over by Cardinalpaw and Rosepaw. The ginger tomcat was about three times as large as Cardinalpaw but practically had the same amount of maturity. He pressed his muzzle against the younger ginger.
"Hi, Spectreflame, Crestedfire!" Cardinalpaw beamed, waving at both of the larger cats. The ginger tom tackled Crestedfire playfully, feeling like a kit again. He wrestled around for a moment before hopping off of Crestedfire, rolling around by his sister until Firestar spoke.

Orochipaw nudged her back and followed her to the meeting area. He pressed against her, giving her warmth and turned his green eyes upon Firestar.
The time has come to fufill a promise to six young apprentices. Ravenpaw, Orochipaw, Shardpaw, Icepaw, Frostpaw, and Halloweenpaw, please step forward. As she waited, she thought of the perfect names. Firestar leaped down and met them in the middle. She called up Ravenpaw, and meowed, Ravenpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, even at the cost of your life? She looked at the apprentice in the eyes, waiting for her reply.
ooc;; What would you all like their warrior names to be?

// You can pick. ^^ I like surprises. And Frostpaw should be made a warrior, too. She's Ravenpaw's sister. I don't remember who acts her. o___o
Ravenpaw watched Cardinalpaw fooling around and smiled. She remembered her early apprentice days. Had she ever been that carefree? As a kit, maybe. Before her father died. A wave of sadness chilled her insides as she thought of Winterfire, but she pushed it away. She had to concentrate on the here and now. The dark-coated apprentice's face lit up with surprise as Firestar called her forward. Was she really ready to become a warrior? She swallowed her uncertainties and stepped forward, turning to look at Orochipaw. Ravenpaw looked up at Firestar, and trembled a little. No. She was ready. She could do this. "I do," she mewed, her voice shaky, but certain.
Pearlblade watched from the elders' den, her old face creased with pride and happiness. The pale-coated elder saw her daughter Ravenpaw press forward, along with her best friend, Orochipaw. It was her son, Shardpaw's time, too, and it didn't matter that he was blind and did not truly carry MoonClan blood. Ravenpaw's sister, Frostpaw, was ready, too. Pearlblade's ice-blue eyes swept the scene, and she waited tensely. Her babies were finally going to be warriors; she was so proud.

Then by Starclan's wishes, I give you your warrior name. You shall be Ravenclaw. We honour you for your strength and loyalty to others and the clan. She rested her muzzle on the she-cat's head. Then she moved away. Orochipaw, you will be names Orochiclaw, named for your bravery and loyalty to your friends. Shardpaw, you will be known as Shardfeather, for even though you are blind and are not Moonclan's by birth, you carry Moonclan's blood through loyalty. Icepaw, you will be known as Icefrost, for your ability to know what's right. Frostpaw, you will be known as Froststripe, for your bravery. Halloweenpaw, you will be known as Halloweentail, for your cunningness. She stepped back and started the chanting of the names.
The newly named Orochiclaw glanced at his best friend, Ravenclaw. She must know we're best friends, because she gave us the same last part to our name! He touched noses with her, and smiled.

Darkmagic turned her head as her name was said, a smile creeping onto her lips as Saintcalling appeared. "Hey Saintcalling" she said, touching her nose to his in a friendly greeting. The two black and white cats sat next to each other and Darkmagic listened to the ceremony happily. Six new warriors for MoonClan! "Ravenclaw, Orochiclaw, Shardfeather, Icefrost, Froststripe, Halloweentail!" she chanted with the rest of the crowd and flashing a guilty look over at Ravenclaw. She had done a terrible job of mentoring the she-cat and she knew it. But Ravenclaw was a strong and able warrior nontheless. Darkmagic was grateful for this, as she did feel really guilty at doing so badly. With a sigh, she looked up at Firestar, wondering if the meeting was done.
"Hi Cardinalpaw!" Rosepaw said brightly to her brother with a big smile. The smile widened as she saw Spectreflame and Crestedfire coming over and swiftly dipping her head to both of them she reached up to touch her nose to Spectreflames. "Hello!" she said back to her mentor and then pricked her ears forward to listen to the ceremony. She cheered loudly for all the apprentices, but most of all for Icefrost, who had been nice to her on her first day of apprenticeship. This made her a friend, in Rosepaws opinion. She bounded over to the silvery-grey she-cat and bounced in happy cirlces around her. "Congratulations Icefrost!" she said, putting emphasis on the new last bit of her friends name.[/blockquote]

The massive tom padded from the warriors' den as his leader's call sounded. Spotting his friend, Heavysand took his seat beside Mudfur.
The next to arrive was Raindrop. She hastily found a spot that was awat from the crowd. The silvery bengal was still uneasy after returning home, afraid that the other cats would portray her as a traitor still.
And then he came. Big for an apprentice, but small for a warrior. When his name was called with many other apprentices', the tom knew what was to come. Shardpaw stepped forward, his heart thudding against his chest. Shardfeather... It had such a nice ring to it. No longer did he feel odd for being blind or foreign, but he still felt out of place. He felt lonely, though surrounded by so many cats.

Firestar flicked her tail for silence. When it finally came, she continued. Clan, I have grave news to report. I was patrolling the border with Eclipseclan earlier, and I heard strangled cries coming from close to the border. I crouched at the border and watched. A tom seemed to be fighting himself, and I heard some cat cry out something about the Tribe of Nightmares. Now, I must head to the Moonshard, so I may talk to Starclan and ask them about this. I want Crestedfire, Spectreflame, Rosepaw, and Cardinalpaw to accompany me. We will leave at sunhigh. Judging by how fast it was approaching, the she-cat wasted no time to tell them they had to go. She waited at the entrance to the camp for her patrol.
ooc;; I'm starting a post in Moonshard. Whoever from the patrol wants to act a Starclan cat to talk to Firestar may.

Rosepaw looked up from her spot beside Icefrost as Firestar mentioned her name. A bubble of excitement leapt up inside her. She was going to the Moonshard! "Gotta go!" she squealed to her silver friend and raced over to Firestar, reaching the orange she-cat and dipping her head as she skidded to a stop. She was happier still that her mentor and brother were coming, along with Crestedfire who she liked a lot as well. Happily bouncing on the spot she waited excitedly to be told thye could go. CagedfaithLate as always, Cagedfaith padded into the camp, dropping his rabbit and joining others. He sighed as she noticed Firestar waiting. Crap. Another meeting missed He thoughts as he slipped into the warrior's den, curling himself into a ball, his eyes staying half opened, waiting to see if anyone had noticed the coffee-colored warrior slip into the camp.

A proud smile curled Ravenclaw's muzzle. The coal-coloured warrior turned to Orochiclaw and nodded. The shadowy she-cat touched noses with her best friend, her ice-blue eyes glittering with happiness and pride. She glanced around, spotting her mother's proud eyes, her sisters' happy face. Ravenclaw lifted her feathery black tail in joy - she finally felt at home around her clanmates. Her eyes caught Shardfeather, but foster brother. Ravenclaw flicked an ear at Orochiclaw, signalling that she would be back. The she-cat padded to her brother's side and licked his shoulder. "Congratulations, brother," she purred.
Spectreflame turned her head, peering around at all the new warriors. A smile appeared on her muzzle as she spotted Ravenclaw and Frostripe. She nodded at her younger sisters in congratulations. The large white warrior looked up at Firestar as the flame-coloured she-cat told her story. Spectreflame tensed and beared her teeth. What did it all mean? She gave a quick nod of assent at Firestar's request. She would put her quarrel with her clan leader aside for this. Spectreflame turned to Rosepaw. "Excited?" she asked, lips twitching.

Saintcalling smiled faintly, blushing a bit as Darkmagic touched her nose to his. The white and black tom joined her in chanting the others' names, pressing against her when she had fallen silent. He knew she was feeling guilty about Ravenpaw--now Ravenclaw. The tuxedo tom meowed at her, trying to cheer up his friend. "Don't worry about it," he said quietly, touching his tail atop hers absently. "Look, we can go for a patrol later if you want to get things off your mind. You can always talk to me." His cold demeanor seemed to slip away slightly.

.Soulmistake.
Deep green eyes shone in the darkness of the tunnel. Firestar and her other clan mates were near the tunnel getting ready to leave. Ivory colored teeth picked up her squirrel and 2 mice, she trotted in with her head down, but eyes scanning the camp. The main clearing was still packed with excited bodies, a clan meeting and new warriors named, I'll have to congragulate them later. Soulmistake's pale gray head shook as she walked to the fresh kill pile. She set her kill down and stood there watching everyone while cleaning herself. "Why is everyone so together and I'm alone?" She asked herself. She said this a number of times when there was a group of happy cats.

Though blood still dripped from her wounds, Firestar raced back to camp with a renewed pace. She raced all the way to the elders' den and meowed urgently, Pearlblade! She winced as she turned her head, pain lanced through her body from her neck wound. She hissed quietly at Shakenleaf. He was not who she remembered him to be. Her head dropped, and her tears pattered against the ground. She shook her head angrily and lifted it, shaking the tears away. She would grieve later. Right now, she had to talk to Pearlblade.

Sorrowpaw listened as he was made a warrior, Sorrowflight. He liked the sound of that. Maybe I'll get an apprentice soon, he thought. His eyes sparkled as he trotted over to Icefrost "Congragultions Icefrost" Sorrowflight smiled wildly but it soon faded as Firestar shot from the tunnel and to the elders den. Why does she want to speak with the elders? Does she have news about Selenekit? Sorrowflight ran to Minnowmask's den seeing the grief and injured Firestar. "Minnowmask! Minnowmask! There's something wrong with Firestar!"
Ghostnight inched towards the warriors den after the meeting. He didn't really want to be any part of attention. He stepped into the warriors den to find Cagedfaith curled up. He stepped silently past the coffee-colored tom and to the far back of the den where he curled up.

Icepaw looked up at the sound of her warrior name. 'Icefrost'. She thought about the name. Not hearing Rosepaw's words. She listened to the new warrior names but didn't hear Sorrowpaw being made a warrior. She looked at Sorrowpaw, then finally heard his name called. "Congregations to you too Sorrowflight," Icefrost said. then saw what Sorrowflight saw. Icefrost looked at the leader with wide eyes, not being able to say anything she looked at her paws. Icefrost didn't want to see Firestar in any pain. 'Why it just had to be my weakness.....tears......' Icefrost looked back to Sorrowflight, trying to avoid looking at Firestar.
Bloodstream walked into the clearing. She was late, since she was hunting. 'I hope I didn't miss anything to important. If I did I will have Icepaw tell me later.' Her mind wander after the last thought. Then she heard another apprentice congratulate Icefrost? She didn't think she heard right until she heard the chanting. Bloodstream backed away from the clearing and toward the warrior den. 'Maybe Icefrost will want to go hunting with me later.' Bloodstream thought. The amber she-cat curled up on her moss and closed her eyes. Not knowing any warrior that was in the den with her she closed her eyes, and thought about how good of a warrior both Sorrowflight and Icefrost shall make.

// Don't worry. Dx
Spectreflame ran from the camp after Firestar, her long white tail streaming out behind her. Her sides heaved as she breathed - the dash from the Moonshard had been a long, tiring one. The longhaired white warrioress turned around, her light blue eyes anxiously searching Rosepaw and Cardinalpaw's faces. She hoped they wern't too drained from the run. Spectreflame sat, her face grave, looking at her paws. What had happened to Firestar? Why did she need to see Pearlblade so very urgently?
Pearlblade looked up from where she was sat, just outside the elders' den. The old, pale-coated she-cat blinked at Firestar, somewhat confusedly. The smile slid from her features. What had happened? Why was she bleeding so? The elderly she-cat struggled to her paws, her frail legs shaking with the effort. She padded slowly to Firestar's side, and rested her silky tail tip on one torn ginger shoulder. "What has happened?" she asked, voice quite calm and quiet.

ooc;// *grunt*
Crestedfire paused a few times to allow Cardinalpaw to keep in pace with the massive ginger tom. His paws thundered upon the earth, running even with the smaller ginger. "Firestar!" he growled slightly, following her scent of blood and anxiety. The colossal tom looked pained, his gentle eyes crinkling at their edges as he turned them to Spectreflame. He made his way over to her. "What is going on?" he asked quietly.
Cardinalpaw panted heavily and nearly collapsed at the heavy running inflicted upon his body. He turned to Rosepaw, his breaths coming out slightly steamy. "How was that for exercise?" he joked.
