Caught up in her own game, Muffin sliced at her foes. Imagining their blood pouring out as they fell withering onto the floor. The red haired cat pounced on one, crushing it with a bear hug and hitting at others with her back legs. She hissed furiously and turned on one that had caught her tail, taking off the female's head with a powerful blow. Okay, so it wasn't a realistic game, but that was the point, in her own mind she could do anything.

Her body was white as snow against the trees. Spectre slipped between the trunks, her small paws padding soundlessly over the ground. For the first time in several moons, frost did not crunch underpaw. The slender, ghostly white she-cat lifted her head, enjoying the beat of the sun on her back. Spring was approaching, and soon the small stretch on uninhabited woods would be abundant in sunshine once more.
Spectre made been hunting, but had so far not found so much as a morsel. She was a little surprised at this; on such a warm day, the prey should've been everywhere. The small white she-cat scented the air, opening her mouth to taste the breeze on her tongue. Yes. The tempting aroma of a rabbit reached her. Spectre turned her head from side to side, shrinking back between two tall, twisted ash trees. The rabbit appeared, pushing itself along the grassy earth with its powerful hind legs. Spectre crept forward, quickly and soundlessly, until she was within leaping range of the creature. She pounced, catching it between her paws. The white loner slashed at it's sides, wincing as its large hind feet pummeled her chest. Quickly she dispatched it with a bite to the neck, killing it. Spectre sat back, winded. After a moment she climbed to her paws, seizing the rabbit, and moved on. After a few pawsteps a familiar scent filled her nostrils, despite the heavy scent of rabbit and blood. The slender she-cat darted around a holly bush and over a fallen log, and saw her. "Muffin!" she mewed, dropping the rabbit.

Muffin ducked from a swiping paw with evily long claws and left her assailant with his guts hanging out over the floor, her eyes seeing the grass become stained with red, smelling blood. Then she realised that she could actually smell real blood, the image of the red grass flickered out like a hologram running out of energy. She glanced around, leaping into the air at Spectre's sudden appearance "Jasus Chroist! You almost killed me!" She gasped, dropping onto the floor, tired from her game which had been going on for about three whole hours.
