Mudfur headed out of the camp with her brother/apprentice. She was going to show him around the territory, she could tell that he was exited. She smiled in delite to hide the sorrow creeping back to her, when she remembered her brother and how badly he wanted Sorrowpaw to be his apprentice. Mudfur stoped and closed her eyes she wished he was still alive.

Sorrowpaw was exited as he and his sister walked out of camp. He had a mentor, a friend, and a family. Sorrowpaw looked up at his sister, why didnt she look happy? He could see the smile but her eyes betrayed her real feelings. "Are you ok Mudfur?" Sorrowpaw was worried about his sister every time she was unhappy.

"Yeah just thinking is all"She led him to the Moonlit hills "This is the Moonlit hills its rich with prey". They went to the Thunder path "This is the Thunder path. I dont ever want to see you go near this place without my permission". She didnt wait for an answer and led him to Silver rocks. "This is Silver Rocks you can sometimes catch a rabbit or 2 here". She led him to the Dry-bones pool "This is Dry-bones pool, in green-leaf it doesnt have a drop of water in it". Mudfur was starting to like the mentor thing even if it ment taking Soulfurs place. She led Sorrowpaw to the edge of Steel yard "Steel yard is also a place I dont want you to set a foot in". Mudfur led him to the edge of Snake oasis "Snake Oasis is a place with deadly snakes, I dont want you going in here either". Mudfur looked up to the sky "Lets head back I think its going to rain".

Icpaw saw Mudfur and Sorrowpaw getting back from Sorrowpaw's training. "Hi you guys! How is training going?" Icepaw was talking to Mudfur but she couln't stop looking at Sorrowpaw.

Mudfur barely noticed Icepaw as they headed through the tunnel "Hello Icepaw, training was good. Sorrowpaw learns very quickly and he can keep up better then I expected". Mudfur smiled at her brother and looked at Icepaw. Why is she staring at him? Mudfurs smile grew bigger as she sat down.

"Glad to hear!" Icepaw saw Mudfur looking at her, so she turned and looked at Mudfur. "Well I guess i better leave you guys, so you can finish Sorrowpaw's training for the day." Icepaw started to walk away. "Grr why can't I just go over to Sorrowpaw and tell him I like him!" Icepaw asked her self quietly

Mudfur smiled at Icepaws remark "Icepaw, Sorrowpaws training is over. Its going to rain soon". Mudfur meowed in amusement. A memory flashed into Mudfurs head. When Icepaw was talking to me she had all her focus on Sorrowpaw. Mudfur knew then of why she acted so weird around him, Icepaw loves Sorrowpaw! Mudfur laughed quietly so her brother wouldnt hear. Mudfur thought maybe if.......................

"oh ok!" Icepaw replyed. She was happy she would get a chance to finally talk to Sorrowpaw. Iepaw glared at Mudfur. Mudfur knows somthing. Icepaw thought to herself.

Mudfur looked at Icepaw with disgust. She had a haunted look on her face now, What if Sorrowpaw doesnt want a mate because of what happened to there mother and brother? Mudfur sat there in the entrance for a while longer then headed inside.

Icepaw stared into Mudfur's eyes. I want to know why she looks so mad! Icepaw thought. She caught up wuth Mudfur. " Why did you look at me like that?" Icepaw asked the she cat " What did I ever do to you that disevers a look of hate?!" Icepaw wanted to know why Mudfur hated her so much now. Icepaw looked up at Mudfur with eyes full of confusion.

Mudfur looked down at the apprentice her eyes clouded with grief "I look at you the same way, but I will not look at anyone in any way as long as they have done nothing wrong". Mudfur looked at Icepaw a little longer then turned around and headed out of the entrance back into the forest. She was blind of grief and had to cry to Soulfur, she wished he was alive so much.

Icepaw was confused. "Why is Mudfur acting so strange?" She asked herself then walked over to Sorrowpaw "Why is your sister being so mean?" Icepaw meowed in confusion "Usally she isn't so mean to me." Icepaw looked at Sorrowpaw, and hoped she wasn't mean to Mudfur.

Sorrowpaw looked in surprise as Icepaw flank brushed against his, "Icepaw I really think I should and Mudfur doesnt hate you shes just stressed out. If you want to we can go ask Heavysand to come with us or we could just follow Mudfur without her knowing, to see what she is doing or going?" Sorrowpaw hoped Icepaw would pick the one where the went to Heavysand, but he knew her to well that she would pick the one where they would follow his sister.

Icepaw laughed at Sorrowpaw. "Don't you know what I would choose?" She asked playfully. "Do you know what I would choose?" She asked, wondering if Sorrowpaw really did know what she would pick. Sorrowpaw smiled when he saw Icepaw blush from under her pelt. "Do I really have to guess or should we just follow my sister now?" Sorrowpaw felt a weird feeling in his heart, what was this feeling? He only showed it torwds his sister, what did she call it? Sorrowpaw smiled even bigger at Icepaw "Lets go before it its to late." bic: Icepaw ran up to Sorrowpaw and fell into step with him. I wonder if Sorrowpaw knows I llike him. Icepaw thought. She had a look of concer on her face, because she was thinking about everything (mainly about Sorrowpaw). "So why do you think she is heading towrads Moonlit Hills?" Icepaw asked quitely, so quitely that Sorrowpaw would have to lean closer to hear. She watched Sorrowpaw's eye. She hoped he couldn't tell she was trying to see if he really liked her..... What if he dosen't like me. Icepaws gaze turned from concern to sadness, as she thought about Sorrowpaw not liking her. She shook the thoughts then hoped Sorrowpaw didn't notice her sadness.

Sorrowpaw could barely could hear Icepaw, but could still hear. "Shes headed torwds Soulfurs grave, didnt you know it was out there?" Sorrowpaw caught her glancing at him with sad eyes "Whats wrong Icepaw. Did something bad happen to you there?" Sorrowpaw was really concerned that he stopped in his tracks. Love! That is what Mudfur had called it! Why did Sorrowpaw love Icepaw? I love Icepaw! Sorrowpaw stood there in shock for a couple of heart beats. He loved Icepaw and wandered if she felt the same way.

Icepaw stoped when Sorrowpaw did " No I didn't know that Soulfurs grave was out there." She said with the sadness still in her voice. " No nothing happend to me at Moonlit hills, it's just............Never mind I don't think you want to hear aout it." Iceoaw looked at her paws and started walking. She almost got lost in her thoughts and forgot where they were headed, but then the thoughts stoped as she remebered they were following Mudfur. "Why can everyone know what my exprestions are?" She accidently asked herself out loud forgetting Sorrowpaw was by her. She knew Mudfur was to far ahead to hear her but Sorrowpaw wasn't to far behind. She blushed again then tried to hide her face by looking dwn.

Sorrowpaw blinked in confusion "Icepaw I want to know! Please tell me!" Sorrowpaw whispered. He started to walk, then a little faster to catch up with her. "Why are you so sad?" Sorrowpaw licked in between Icepaws ears.

Sorrowpaw didnt want Icepaw to be so sad, but he meant what he said and would keep his promise till the end. Sorrowpaw looked lovingly at Icepaw, I will always love you he thought I wont stop I just cant.

Icepaw looked at her paws. Then noticed Sorrowpaw looking at her that way. That made her excited. He dose love me! She thought to herself. " It's just I......Love........" She was to excited to get it out. " You!" She finally got the words out, then she looked back down at her paws and she knew she was blushing so no one could see

When Icepaw said she loved him his heart felt like it would fly away "I love you too Icepaw." He smiled warmly at her and forgot all about Mudfur. The rain started to fall but Sorrowpaw didnt care as long as he was with Icepaw nothing mattered anymore.

bic:// Mudfur felt the first drop and turned around. Know one was behind her or coming at her. Mudfur turned back "I hope you are down or up there were ever you are." Mudfur let the last tear fall, she bounded off. As the tear hit the grave a soft whisper came from the grave, that know one could hear. "I will always feel warm as long as you believe of where your place is." It faded into the clouds where it would stay until she heard them herself.
