Hello noble BRCers
The time has come for the deputy auditions to begin. Jasminestar is leaving on a mission from StarClan. Now, they all think its temporary but Jasminestar will not return. Neither will Mysticsight, who is accompanying her. A rogue [who will be made by Lonely] will come to SC camp and tell everyone that Jasmine and Mystic are dead. This will make Clearpool leader and in need of a deputy.
Now, like i said up there, the think its only temporary. This means that Clearpool will not get her name until after they know Jasminestar is dead, as they all expect her to return.
So, once the Gathering is over Clearpool will appoint a temporary deputy. However, at the news of Jasminestars death they will be made fully fledged deputy and Clearpool will be fully fledged leader, receiving her name from StarClan.
This means that though they will be given the deputy posistion temporarily the cat chosen will actually be deputy thereafter the decision is made. So make these auditions good!
I am liable to be very picky [you know me xDD] and it really is quality and not quanity that counts [but if they are too short they may not even be looked at]. Remember your deputy must have had at least one apprentice.
You are allowed to use cats that you already roleplay [like Ferns did with Corb and Phantomlight, etc] but their biographies will probably need some tweaking if im likely to be happy lol xDD.
Im not saying a closing date as i dont know when i will decide, it will depend on the number and quality of the auditons.
Most of all, good luck!

musicdrift musickit, musicpaw, musicdrift she-cat deputy serenityclan music- an art of sound in time that expresses ideas and emotions in significant forms through the elements of rhythm, melody, harmony, and color.
drift- a driving movement or force; impulse; impetus; pressure.
actions&& You can always hear a quiet sound coming from Musicdrift. Either if it's just a voice voice, most cats come to listen quietly, hoping not to disturb the peace of the SerenityClan deputy. As yes, many think that little Musicdrift is kind and gentle all the time, which can be. But watch out, for when something disturbs the peace of her Clan, she springs into action, her harmonic side gone, fierce side coming out. Musicdrift will do anything to protect her Clan, especially the kits. Not only will she give her life to any member of her Clan, she would never allow anyone to touch the future of the Clan.
Normally, you will see Musicdrift making her rounds, talking to her Clanmates, and looking for any dangers to her Clan. She will report everything she hears back to Clearpool. She enjoys helping Runningcloud and Lavenderlace with herbs, helping them pick and sort them, thought the medicine cats normally don't need her help. You can find the serenityClan deputy beside her leader, or talking with the queens and quietly humming to the kits.
Hunting is also something you would never think this Deputy would be interested in. Quick as lightning on her small feet, Musicdrift can easily keep pace with the fastest rabbit, and the slowest mouse even. Trees are not a problem for this she-cat. Even with blunt claws like she has, she can easily. climb a tree, and as quietly as ever. Though there is one down fall. Musicdrift is afraid of heights. Deathly afraid. Even though she hunts the prey for the Clan, Musicdrift doesn't eat the woodland creatures, Instead, she has learned a way to use herbs and berries to fill her and give her strength. history&& Kithood Born as an only kit, Musicdrift was very cared about by her parents, Phantomgaze and Phoenixfeather. Her mother, Phoenixfeather, was always humming a tune, being a former kittypet with a musical owner, she learned many tunes to hum to, always the musical type. Her father, ferice and cold, was soft around the small Musickit. Many asked why the two would name there kit after something two-legs listened to. The two didn't have a an answer. They kept it to herself. Her 6 moons to apprentice-ship passed quickly and by the time it was the day of the ceremony, the she-kit was had barely grown.
Apprentice-ship Musicpaw was apprenticed to Firerider, a young but respected warrior of the Clan. Learning all she could from the tom, she soon figured out that she had love for the young mentor. As soon as she mentioned this love, Firerider, along with both her parents, disappeared. Depression plauged the young she-cat as the leader chose her a new mentor. Fathomclaw was chosen to be the she-cat's new mentor. Her apprentice-ship passed without any more inicdents, Fathomclaw helping her out of her depression. She started humming her mother's songs and seemed to always be around the nursery. During her apprentice-ship, she started eating nothing but the herbs and berries her mother used to eat herself, as did her first crush. Soon, the day cam that she no longer was called Musicpaw, but Musicdrift.
warriorhood: It felt good being a warrior. Musicdrift had gone through her parents both going missing and the death of her first crush though her apprenticeship. She knew, someday, her parents would return. And then she would show them what a good warrior she had turned out to be. Her warriorship had a few events in it. The battle with the Tribe still, to this day, lives heavily in her mind. The slaughter of cats of all Clans, the tears that were shed and the pain that all cats had gone through. And yet, life continued on with the memory of all those cats. Though it was painful to remember, Musicdrift cannot get it out of her mind. It clings on to a small part inside her brain. The love of a tom. Something Musicdrift thought she would never receive. Her closest friend, Flarewind, told her he loved her as they returned to SerenityClan's camp after the battle. It was a moment in time that the she-cat would never forget. Blisspaw. The blind apprentice was given to her to mentor. She worked well with him, helping him through his blindness until he became a warrior. The last event that lies heavily in her mind is the Gathering, when Jasminestar told all the cats that she was leaving the forest, as was Mysticsight. Clearpool was given leadership until her leader returned. As the Clan came back from the gathering, Musicdrift was called for by the temporary leader. Musicdrift would become the Clan's temporary deputy.
deputyship: Musicdrift would always remember that day. The sad but cheerful day. Clearpool had in trusted her as the temporary deputy. And she honored this rank. As the moons passed, and Jasminestar and Mysticsight hadn't been heard from, the Clan was getting nervous, Was it the thought that the two weren't coming back? That they had failed the mission? Or was it the fact that Clearpool was getting anxious,wondering if she should go to the moonshard and see if she could get any news. Clearpool left the morning after she thought this, and after talking to Runningcloud about it. She returned the next day, bearing the name of Clearstar and deaming Musicdrift as deputy, no longer temporary, Clearstar told her Clan that Jasminestar had been killed, as did Mysticsight. The Clan mourned for them, but also welcomed the new leader and deputy. The next moons passed without incident, and Musicdrift is still staying a strong and loyal deputy, looking out for Clearstar and her Clan. roleplay&& Her paws pounded the ground as she slipped through the forest, eyes alert as the sounds drifted towards her. It was quite. Much too quite for her tastes. Her eyes narrowed down into slits as she stopped, glancing around before circling the tree in which she had stopped by. Musicdrift had been thinking. And the scent hadn't been helping her. The scent of prey, the trees. Blood and the scent of intruders. The orange she-cat whipped around as pawsteps came towards her. "Ah. The Mighty SerneityClan deputy. Wonderful. I can take care of you before going after your precious Clan. And perhaps that tom...what was his name again? Oh yes. Flarewind" Poisongas growled, blood-red eyes narrowed down as he glared at her. Musicdrift growled. "I knew you'd be here. But why? Had enough of MoonClan?" She hissed back. Her eyes flicking around. A rustle behind her made her turn for a moment, but that was all the time that the rouge needed. He pounced, slashing her across the head. The pain didn't seem real....it seemed fake as if nothing was happening.......
"Wake up! Musicdrift, you've been thrashing for awhile. What's wrong?" Flarewind mewed as he prodded her side. The fear was wide in the deputy's eyes as she stared up at her mate. She let out a sigh of relief, letting everything settle in. Poisongas wasn't there. He was part of a dream. "Clearstar is calling for you." He mewed before padding from the den, the deputy following and padding out into the clearing. relationships&& Phoenixfeather- Mother [Missing] Phantomgaze- Father [Missing] Firerider- First mentor/First crush[Missing] Fathomclaw- Second mentor Flarewind- mate Blisspaw- apprentice Crocuspool- best friendcodewords&& poisontearscrashdown[/ul]

Lightning flashes. Thunder roars. The deep abyss opens and Out comes
Thunderstep
Name: Thunderstep.
Definition: Thunder: A loud sound after a lightning strike. Step: A movement of the foot by lifting it up and placing it in a new position.
Gender: Male. Age: 37 moons. Clan: Serenityclan. Rank: Deputy. Looks: Thunderstep has an unusual pelt. It is many grays mixed into one pelt. In places, there are patches of fur that are almost white. In other places, his fur has the colour of almost black. His eyes are of the deepest amber. He has a black nose. His is a big cat. He is the biggest out of his litter. He inherited his pelt from his father and his eyes from his mother. He has ugly scars down his sides bcuse of a fox attack when he was an apprentice. They are sporadic and are random on his pelt. He fouht for a while with that fox, so there are many scars from it. His front paws are a medium gray colour, while his back paws are a darker gray. Thunderstep's claws are sharp and long. He keeps them sharp so they are battle-ready. His ears are big on his head. It makes his hearing sharper. His ears are pale gray. Thunderstep can cover himself well in fog and snow. The only things that stand out while he is hiding in snow are his dark gray spots. They can easily be mistaken for stones sticking out of the snow, though. His whiskers are long. They reach far from each side of his face. He also has a unique shape on his left shoulder. It is in the shape of a claw. It was from the fight with the fox. The mark reminds him of the consequences of fighting foxes. Actions: Thunderstep is a protective cat. If he can help it, he doesn't let any harm come to his family. It comes from him being the only Tom in his litter. Thunderstep is also very loyal to his family and Clan. He would not betray them fro anything. He would die before he betrayed his Clan. Thunderstep is also patient. He allows cats to tell him a problem and helps them sort it out. He watches out for Serenityclan because he doesn't want anything to happen to the Clan. He believes that, with a little help, Serenitycan can become the greatest Clan in the forest. His amibition to become a leader is little, but if he has to become a leader he will do his best job. Thunderstep believes that if you've done the best possible job that you believe you can do then you have accomplished your task. He doesn't like it when cats think of themselves as better than someone else. He thinks that all cats are equals and that they have no reason to bicker. He believes that fighting is useless unless there is a real danger. He prefers to talk it out. Past: ThunderkitThunderkit was born into a healthy litter of three kits. He was the only tom. His mother, Dapplefeather, almost named him Cloudkit because of his multicoloured gray fur. She changed her mind to Thunderkit, though, when she remembered her mate's wishes to have one kit named after his father. Thunderkit's father, Brokenwing, was very close to his own father, Thunderstorm. Brokenwing wanted to preserve the memory of his father by naming one of his kits after the brave warrior. Thunderkit was by far the biggest of his litter. His sister, Crystalkit, was the middle kit. She was the hyper kit. Thunderkit's other sister, Twinklekit, was the quiet kit. She was also the smallest. Thunderkit was very protective of his siblings. He cared for his siblings alot. Of course, he played, but he never played really hard. He didn't want to hurt Twinklekit or Crystalkit. One day, the three kits were playing in the clearing, when all of a sudden there was an attack on camp. Cats were pouring into the clearing. Thunderkit and his siblings went running into the Nursery. They huddled in there, listening to the shrieks of fighting cats. Thunderkit's father, Brokenwing, dashed out with the other warriors. He fought with the strength of three cats. Serenityclan eventually drove out the invading cats, though not without tragedy. There were many injuries, some severe. One of these injuries were Brokenwing's. He had snapped his front left paw. The medicine cat tried to heal it, but it was no use. Brokenwing had to retire early and become an elder. Thunderkit was distressed by this. He went to visit his father every day. Crystalkit and Twinklekit weren't far behind him. The three kits made it through the rest of their kithood without any more family members being injured. ApprenticeshipThunderkit was named Thunderpaw and given to an elderly warrior by the name of Grainwind. Crystalkit was named Crystalpaw and Twinklekit was named Twinklepaw. Thunderpaw learned much from his mentor. He bonded with his mentor. One day, close to Thunderpaw's warrior ceremony, he and Grainwind were out on patrol. It was a routine patrol. They needed to patrol the borders to make sure that they were quiet. The two toms were on their way back when they were surprised by a hungry fox. The fox attacked the two toms. Grainwind was weak. He seemed to be growing frailer every day. Thunderpaw stepped in and attacked the fox. He fought hard, but it was no use. The fox was too strong. Grainwind pulled himself together and sprung. He landed on the fox and they were locked together in a battler to the death. It was going too fast for Thunderpaw to spring in and attack the fox. He was afraid of accidentally hurting his mentor. Finally, though, the two fell apart. Grainwind was bleeding heavily. As was the fox, but the fox was not about to give up. Thunderpaw ran in once again and attacked the fox. It howled as Thunderpaw raked his claws across the russet pelt. The fox finally gave up and struggled to run away. Thunderpaw let the fox go. He turned his attention to his mentor. Grainwind was still bleeding heavily, but managed to let out a purr. 'I think you are... ready to become... a warrior.' He mewed. Thunderpaw was surprised. He didn't want excitement to get the better of him. He went over to Grainwind and supported him with a shoulder. Together, the two toms made their way to the camp. Thunderpaw immediately went to the medicine cat. Grainwind called out for the Clan leader. He told the leader of Thunderpaw's brave actions. The leader obliged and called a Clan meeting. The leader called Thunderpaw up and asked the familiar question. Thunderpaw answered with a resounding 'I do.' He was given the name of Thunderstep. The leader also called up Crystalpaw and Twinklepaw. They were both given the names of Crystalhaze and Twinklewind. Brokenwing and Dapplefeather watched their kits being made into warriors with proudness on their faces. The three kits were finally warriors. WarriorhoodThunderstep sat his vigil with his sisters. All was quiet. When the three siblings were relieved the next morning, Twinklewind and Crystalhaze went straight to the Warrior den to get some sleep. Thunderstep went to the Medicine cat den to see Grainwind. When he got into the den, he was greeted by the smell of blood. He panicked and looked around. He spotted Grainwind, apparently asleep. He padded to the side of his former mentor's nest and looked in. Grainwind looked up at the new warrior. He nodded his head and start to speak. 'Thunderstep, my former apprentice, you have been strong in the face of evil and death. You saved not one, but two lives. You showed mercy to that fox when you killed it. I am proud of you, my former apprentice. Please do not be sad when I pass, I want you to know that I will always watch over you. I promise.' Thunderstep shook his head. 'No, don't die. Please.' Grainwind just chuckled. He knew that Starclan was coming to get him. Thunderstep bowed his head. He didn't want his former mentor to die. Grainwind started to breathe shallower. Thunderstep panicked again and started to call out for the medicine cat but Grainwind put his tail over the young qwarrior's mouth. 'No herbs will help me now.' He managed to mew. All of a sudden, it was as if Grainwind couldn't breathe. He started to shake and twitch. He managed to mew out one more word. 'Goodbye.' The light died from the elderly warrior's eyes. Grainwind was gone. Thunderstep let out a wail and nosed the dead warrior. The next few days passed in slow motion. Thunderstep sat vigil for Grainwind all night. Thunderstep hadn't slept since the night before his warrior ceremony. He was ordered to go sleep by the medicine cat. Thunderstep obeyed. He pulled himself into a nest in the Warrior's den. His sleep was distured by nightmares of the fox coming to attack him and of Grainwind dying. A few moons later, Thunderstep had recovered fully and was back to his normal self. The clan leader called out to the Clan for a Clan meeting. It was time for new apprentices. Thunderstep didn't expect to get an apprentice, so he was surprised when the leader called out his name. He recieved the apprentice, Mistpaw. She was just like him, protective and caring. He knew that he would get along with his apprentice. 'I will do my best.' He mewed. His whole time as a mentor was fun to him. Mistpaw was a joy to work with. She learned fast and was very active in what he taught her. She seemed like she was genuinely interested in what he was talking about. Finally, Mistpaw's day to become a warrior was upon her. Thunderstep walked her to the front for her to recieve her warrior's name. She became Mistfire. Thunderstep was the first to call her by her new name. She thanked Thunderstep for all he did for her. He smiled at her and went to sit by his sisters. They congratulated him on having his first apprentice become a warrior. He thanked them. Later on, there was a big battle with the Tribe of nightmares, a Tribe of ghostly cats that hadn't gone to Starclan. Thunderstep was to stay back and help defens the camp. He, along with Mistfire, Crystalhaze, Twinklewind and Dapplefeather, stayed back to help defend the camp. There were other cats still there as well. Thunderstep waited anxiously for the Clan to return. He was relieved when they finally got back. He found out about Peanutdrift, Foxtail and Pastelsky dying in the Great Battle, it made him upset. He mourned along with his clanmates. A few days later, there was another gathering. Thunderstep wasn't gonig to this one. He stayed behind. He waited for his clanmates to return and tell him the news of the other Clans. When they returned, Thunderstep learned of Jasminestar's adventure. He was shocked. Why would Starclan make a leader desert her clan? Thunderstep was distraught. When Jasminestar left, Clearpool stood in as leader. She picked a temporary deputy. Thunderstep was not expecting it to be him. She chose him and he was surprised. Why him? Why not more experienced warriors? DeputyshipThunderstep is now deputy of Serenityclan. He does all he can to protect his Clan. He knows that one day, there will be a time when Serenityclan needs to be protected. The evils of the Black River Forest can only be held at bay for so long again. Relationships/Kin: Dapplefeather [mother] Brokenwing [father], Crystalhaze [sister], Twinklewind [sister], Mistfire [former apprentice]. Other: None. Codewords: Poison Tears Crash Down.[/sup][/blockquote]

Finished! I have no muse for a rp example right now. If I have time I'll do it before Spice picks or before I leave on Monday, but for now I won't do it.
Say it again...
Brokenkit Brokenpaw Brokencalling Brokenstar
My name...
Male
Say it like you mean it...
40 Moons
Not that way...
SerenityClan
Whisper it in my ear...
Deputy
And put it in color...
Tan, black, white, or black, tan, white, however you wish to put it, thats the way I am. Or perhaps my stripes are more of a deep brown. Either way my fur is wonderfully soft, like velvet to the touch. Thats what they want me to mew. What they all wish for me to be, yet I am neither handsome nor a lady's tom. I never have been and I can never be, its never been my nature and I find it to be a frivolous thing to do, to waste my time padding after a fae whom may never have a feel for me or my disfigured looks. Its true that I was once a good looking fellow, sharp, intelligent, powerful....and how do I go about it in a diligent manor? I was a complete jerk, so full of it, full of myself. I loved to try to woe the lady's, and many of them padded after my, oh life was wonderful.
But now everythings changed, I've changed. I was part of the battle against the Tribe of Nightmares, I was strong, I was powerful, and I thought I could fight them all at once. I was wrong. In shock I found that I couldn't even touch them, couldn't defend myself either. I had stupidly jumped into the middle of them thinking I was so smart when I had been so stupid. Can't remember anything after that, oh no. Medicine cat had told me that I must have a slight amnesia because I was in shock. Can hardly remember anything that had happened that day before the battle, just after. I found a big, still puddle to see just what the battle had done to my stunning looks. I found out that I went from stunning to horrifying.
It started with my face. A four claw mark going over my left eye, luckily it didn't get my eye. A three claw mark going across the top of my muzzle, and part of my left ear was missing. I also have part of my tail missing, but that was from my kithood. I have smaller claw marks on my body but they hide under my fur, and I have one deep claw scar on my right flank. I don't know who saved me, but I will be forever in debt to them.
Just what do you want from me...
I used to be a smooth talker, able to talk my way out of any situation, even when I was in trouble with the leader as an apprentice I could get out of it without any major punishment. I was also over confident and a loud mouth, you could never tell me a secret because as soon as you would tell me, oops! Its half way around camp, sorry! Ok, who's secret should I share next! Let's see, loud, over confident, smooth talker, oh yes! A lier too. I used to eat prey on hunting patrols when I was supposed to bring it back for the elders, then get in a fight with a fox just to cover it up! Honest! I think, anyway. Maybe thats what got the end of my tail...
Now I'm not like that anymore. Its like a whole new me, I've been told before. I'm calm, trusting, curious, and I listen to what others tell me. I've mostly been getting information about my past from the apprentices I apparently used to patronize before they became Warriors, one of them have even become a pretty good friend with. I even enjoy siting near the training area and watching apprentices practice, and give them tips and ideas on how to get there moves right. Of course I don't always enjoy it. I continue to hear others meow about their apprenticeship and how their mentor was the best, the fastest, the strongest, how they always cared and had patience with them. I don't remember anything about my past, not even my dreams give me any clue about them. Its as if StarClan wishes for me to forget it. Being deputy, maybe thats the best thing to do. Just... Forget.
Thats the bad side to me, I can be patient and wait for ages, but when I think about my past, or try to anyway. I can snap if it starts to really bother me, especially if some cat starts to tease me about it, and I really, really try to be patient if its a kit or apprentice asking me about it. But thats my fear, what if it just drives me to my death? No, I'll never let that happen. I going to forget and I'm never going to think about it again, StarClan chose for me to forget and its most likely for the best. Maybe what I was before, was keeping me from being what I can be now, if you think about it. If I didn't change, I would have never of been chosen to be deputy of my Clan. To rise above the rest and fulfill my duty.
I can only do so much...
First Meeting My parents, Coalheart and Halofeather. Its so hard to not remember what they looked like, their fur color, face, size, anything would be nice but none of which even comes to mind. What I've been told is that they fell in love not to long after becoming Warriors, some even suspect that they were in love long before that, but does that really mater? They fell in love and not to long after which bore me and my sister, Cometkit. But mother died after giving birth to use, she was so weak after fighting off a fox that almost broke into camp. Dad died going after the fox, thus we were orphans. It was Shallowpool who took care of us after that, her own kits had died of greencough.
Kithood Our kithood was boring enough, nothing exciting really happened, well what can others really tell me about it anyway. No one pays attention to kits. Well, except for Solidrock, who later had become my mentor. I was told that he practically begged for me and I begged for him to be my mentor. Thus we now move onto the apprentice days.
Apprenticeship Now this is what I have heard much about, my days as an apprentice. The trouble I had gotten into the fibs I told, whoa. No one really knows what happened to me, though. Why I was such a jerk, why I lied so much, what pushed me so far, and what really did it to me. No one even knows what happened to me and Featherpaw. We were such great friends, then one day it all just flipped. We fought all the time, we even clawed each other for no reason(thats what the elders tell me, anyway, but I know there must of been a reason). That it all went down hill after Shallowpool died of Whitecough. I apparently got harder, while Featherpaw made herself more isolated, pushing everyone away. Its amazing that we made it to Warriorhood.
Warriorhood First thing I was told about my past was right after I became a warrior was Solidrock and I had gone on patrol as Warriors and we didn't come back for a while until the second patrol came across Solidrock's limp body, and my untouched body sleeping nearby. No one knows what happened, I had claimed to not remember anything and the weird thing is, is that their were no scents of rogues or loners around, I was untouched with no blood marks on me nor my mentors fur between my claws. No one knows what happened, I never talked about it, everything was soon forgotten. Even more mysterious was my sister, Feathercloud, left the Clan, calling herself Feather. Everyone said that I was satisfied with her leaving but never said why.
Then came the battle between the Clans and the Tribe of Nightmares. The battle was gruesome and was where I lost my memories, all of them. I don't remember a thing about the battle either. I was told that I had boldly launched myself down into the middle of them only to find, to my dismay, that I couldn't touch them. I clawed at nothing but air before thorn sharp teeth and razor sharp claws tore into me. I almost didn't survive if someone didn't pull me out. Its weird, though. No one knows who pulled me out, only that I was discovered unconscious by the medicine cats. After that everything changed for me, I'm a different cat and have worked hard for my Clan. Many thought I was acting and its taken a lot of work but I have gained their trust, enough to become deputy. Who knew.
But I'll try my best...
Coalheart - Father[deceased]
Halofeather - Mother[deceased]
Shallowpool - Foster mother[deceased]
Feather - Sister
Solidrock - Previous Mentor
Havensoul - 1st Apprentice
To Fight for freedom...
Role Play Example
And make you proud...
I would use one of my other SC cats but none of them are fit to be a deputy
Proud to call me son...

appeal;;
A slim, dark brown tabby with a patch of light brown over his dark green eyes.
Tigerscream isn't the worst looking tom around. In fact, one might call him charming. But the pretty exterior does not in any way make up for his rough edges. Tigerscream's beauty is one to be marveled from afar, because his exterior does not do any justice to his interior. After a healthy dose of Tigerscream's personality, you might wish you had kept your distance.
Tigerscream's fur is nothing spectacular, if ordinary for a Clan cat. You see, Tigerscream's color palette consists of two rather dull colors: dark brown and a coating of black. His pelt is dark brown all over, but the blaze of the brown is somewhat toned down by the stripes of black. It's almost as if a cat with ink on his claws ripped through his pelt. His left eye is covered with a light brown patch. As if someone patted powdered cinnamon over his eye. Tigerscream never regrets the fact that he resembles Tigerstar. In fact, he is proud of his coat and how it makes him stand out.
[ I T I G H T L Y L O C K T H E D O O R ]
Tigerscream's fur is short, but not bristly. It is perfectly suited for the water and forest floor. This is yet another blessing in disguise, for this trait also keeps anycat from guessing that he is not of SerenityClan, but guess he is of CloudClan. Tigerscream doesn't particularly swim a lot, but when he does, his pelt is perfect for gliding swiftly though the cool river water that runs through the forest. He is a fast swimmer, due to his mother and father's collective genes. His mother's was suited for swimming in rough, choppy ocean waters, and his dad, in the swift river. Both of these hand-me-down traits make Tigerscream a great swimmer. [ I T R Y T O C A T CH M Y B R E A T H A G A I N ] Tigerscream keeps himself in tip-top condition. He believes that messy paws but a clean pelt is the mark of a true Warrior. His daily ritual of grooming is important. Tigerscream spruces his fur every morning without fail, cleaning it diligently and almost religiously. Messy coats and unhealthy habits disgust his, because he takes these as a sign of weakness. Tigerscream can absolutely not abide sloppy-ness. A job should be done well the first time, and done exactly right. Tigerscream's oval orbs are filled with a different, slightly darkened, perspective of the world, the very depths of which cannot be reached. Many cats find themselves straying to focus on her best feature: the eyes. Tigerscream's eyes are just slightly bigger than average, and are a dark, dark green to complement his face. From a distance, don't be surprised if they have a smoky, almost opaque, look to them. [ I H U R T M U C H M O R E ] Tigerscream's underbelly is a chocolate brown color with highlights of darker brown. At the right angle, it may even appear a soft, pale copper. Underbelly fur is some of the softest fur on a cat, and it is no difference with Tigerscream. His belly fur grows wispy and fine, strangely soft to the touch. A cat's teeth are used for many various things. Bared, they can mean a warning. They are also used for eating, and, most commonly, self-defense. Tigerscream's teeth are filed to sharp points from all their wear and tear. In battle, Tigerscream favors his teeth over his claws, and is very quick to sink his teeth into anything near him, thrashing his head about bloodily. He also uses his teeth to clamp down on slippery fish and tear off their tough meat. Fish is one of Tigerscream's favorite food, even though they are hard to find in SerenityClan's terra. [ T H A N A N Y T I M E B E F O R E ] Although Tigerscream favors his teeth, don't think he has completely forgotten about his claws. Tigerscream's claws are not special; they are just another appendage. There are no special markings, stripes, or irregular colors on his claws. To put it simply and understandably: they are white. Tigerscream takes a little time each day to groom his claws, but nothing exceptional. While claws are an important part of a cat's body, and they should be cleaned like a soldier cleans his sword, it isn't wise to spend all the time in a day on such a small thing. Tigerscream's body is built for precision, not force. In battle, Tigerscream easily dodges blows and moves swiftly through cats with pinpoint accuracy. Tigerscream's sheer speed is all centered directly in his limbs. While not overly long but not short, his legs are built for balance and speed. Patrols, hunting, and running build up Tigerscream's muscles in his stilts. [ I H A V E N O O P T I O N S L E F T A G A I N ] Tigerscream is just about two and a quarter tail lengths long. He also weighs around seven pounds, a mass slightly lighter than a regular Clan cat. Tigerscream doesn't eat much, but he doesn't starve himself either. He thinks it is a waste of time to spend gluttoning over a mouse when he will be just as hungry the next day. There's more profit to be found in other, more important things. Shortly put, he eats to live, not lives to eat. Tigerscream's metabolism has adjusted itself to eating this way, sparingly and in moderation. Tigerscream has had a small injury since birth. Newborn kits aren't meant to be roughly handled and jostled. They are too fragile. Yet, Tigerscream was bumped around, rather violently. Immediately after birth too, when his father, Rippedstripe, was moving him into SerenityClan. As a newborn, his bones were still soft and not set in place. On the journey to SerenityClan, Tigerscream's shoulder repeatedly knocked into Rippedstripe's leg until the tissue in his body allowed the shoulder blade to slide out of place. It wasn't much of a difference, but his bones have never set together quite correctly. Now, Tigerscream's left shoulder aches constantly, and he has to take a minimum amount of poppy seeds every day to ease the constant pins-and-needles feeling. On particularly bad days, or before a storm, this affliction causes Tigerscream to be terribly irritated and grouchy. Tigerscream despises this injury, which he takes as a sign of weakness. Tigerscream is repulsed by this sign of weakness in his own body. The injury causes him to not run very much, even though it's one of his favorite things to do. If he starts to run to fast, the joint will pop out of place, causing him to limp. persona;; [ U N L E S S I T R Y T O S T A R T A G A I N ] Tigerscream, as you will soon learn, is descended from dock cats that lived by the sun-drown place. Dock cat's culture is rough and brutal, leaving no room for weakness; Tigerscream follows the same views. In dock cat hierarchy, the tom is the Alpha dominate, not the female. He carried the brutality gene to the next generation of dock males, decides which kits live to become the next generation, and generally has his paw over the females. This dominate gene is carried by all dock males, including Tigerscream's grandfather, his father, and him. This is why Tigerscream must always be in charge and can't stand to be underneath the females in his Clan. Even though the leader (including Jasminestar) are females. He despises females like her ancestors before him, but is willing to work with them if only to achieve a goal. This instinct is why he carries himself with a authoritative air (except around the Leader, as he respects a higher cat, female or male). It is in Tigerscream's blood to be the head. Even though he is slightly prejudice, he doesn't exactly treat females like dirt. He respects them, especially when they're in heat or pregnant. And he will converse with them also. The dock cat gene also breeds speed and brutality. This is why Tigerscream sometimes reverts to his "growl-at-everything" attitude. It is a hardcore, no nonsense gene that is an instinct passed down as well. This is what gives Tigerscream his rough edges. It is only a bred instinct. [ I D O N ' T W A N T T O B E T H E O N E ] Tigerscream analyzes everything, never taking a single thing at surface value. He watches until he finds a crack in everything. Sometimes, he exploits and widens that crack until everything comes crashing down. Occasionally, Tigerscream scrutinizes himself to find his own faults. One night, he woke with the feeling that somecat or something was watching him. Just as his hackles began to rise, he realized: it was him - watching himself! Glee. Calm. Sorrow. Fury. Tigerscream can often experience several of these basic emotions within a single day. An ever-going whirlwind of emotions can often make Tigerscream appear to be like the loose cannon of SerenityClan. However, the Clan can always depend on his ideas and sometimes reckless valor for support. As a general rule of thumb, Tigerscream knows that the best way to get through the day is to live life while learning life…and bash a few skulls along the way. [ T H E B A T T L E S A L W A Y S C H O O S E ] Tigerscream fights like a berserker. Once, in the heart of battle, Tigerscream lashed out and struck a tom. The tom was stunned, paralyzed in the spine. Soon after, that tom died, unable to live in that disabled state. However, in that moment, Tigerscream was startled out of his angry state and realized what he had done. It was on that turbid day that Tigerscream found the ultimate adrenaline rush; staring into the eyes of another dying being. Tigerscream makes no attempt to hide a battleblood traits from anyone (all the Clans know he is a rager; his reputation precedes him). All the Clans have heard about this incident. Some look down on him for losing control over a simple border skirmish. Although Tigerscream has let go of her anger, it still shows in battles. What the Clans can never understand? It is his nature to be brutal. [ ' C A U S E I N S I D E I R E A L I Z E ] “Have you ever been in love? Horrible, isn’t it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens up your chest and it opens up your heart and it means someone can get inside you and mess you up.” This has never been more true to Tigerscream. He has vowed to never fall in love. Mate yes, but never love. Instead, it comes from across the loner's land to an ocean known as Sun Sea. Allow me to bring you two long generations back, to the docks on the outskirts of the twolegplace. A family of dock cats lived along a shipping pier, among the various crates and boxes waiting to be taken and loaded onto cargo ships. They were a small family, simply composed of a mother, a father, and a new litter of five. The lighthouse shone its beam of light through cracks and crevices, casting skittering shadows on the floor. It was the late evening, and the sun disappeared below the watery horizon. The father was out hunting, doing his duty to support the family. This left the kits and the mother at home. From a distance came the catcalling and loud, rowdy yowls. Raucous toms were fast approaching the small family. Call it mother's intuition, but the mother she-cat felt her fur prickle at the sound, growing louder every second. On instinct, she hid away her five kits, placing them together in an empty crate. When the four toms appeared, the she-cat was the only being left in the clearing, her kits having been safely and craftily secreted. From inside the wooden crate, five kits remained hushed in fear. From outside the stuffy box, they heard spiteful laughs and painful screams. Thought they were all huddled together with lack of fresh air and space, the five remained where they were for almost two days, too frightened to mew for their mother, and too scared to leave the shelter of the box. When they did venture out two evenings later, all that remained of their previous life was the cold, dead body of their mother. Their father was never seen or heard from again. Perhaps he was too cowardly to come back. Here I must pause and explain to you just how harsh the life of a dock cat is. They hold a very different state of mind then the Clans. There is no purpose in living, except to live and live well. But all this was about to change with the second generation in Tigerscream's ancestry. Do you remember those kits from before? The second generation starts with their story; or, in particular, a she-kit's story. The oldest sister in the litter of five. She, Gull, would have been the oldest and the dominant female, the strongest of the litter. She was a vain, wicked little thing. She left the docks where she was born, not because she was ashamed to be a dock cat, but because she felt it was a pointless existence. And, as I explained, dock cats feel the urge to live well. Gull would be the one to keep he family's blood running though the veins of others, and was charged with the family responsibilities. To do that, she had to find a mate. Dock cats have strange traditions. There is a barbaric ritual when a dock cat litter is born, something horrendous. One brother and one sister are kept alive out of all the litter. The rest of the litter is killed, normally by drowning in the sun-drown place. As little kits, they cannot swim, and therefore perish in the salty waters at the hands of their own parents, who do the drowning. Gull's brothers and sisters hadn't been drowned yet, and because both parents had died, they all survived. However, the ones who usually would survive would be the strongest or oldest. Gull was both. Gull traveled away from the sun-drown place, until she found something almost as familiar: another body of water. It was a lake set at the bottom of the mountains. Following the water's edge, Gull came to a stream, which led off to a river. Gull arrived in SerenityClan territory two weeks later. [ I ' M P I C K I N G M E A P A R T A G A I N ] In a turn of events, Gull met Rippedstripe, a SerenityClan tom. Rippedstripe was currently already with a SerenityClan she-cat, but found that he couldn't stay away from this mysterious outsider. Although his mate was about to give birth to kittens, Rippedstripe went against his conscience and mated with Gull. When he fell in love, I think it's safe to say that Gull was never really in love with him. Gull only felt the desire to spread her genes. Gull had her litter around the same time that Rippedstripe's other mate had her litter. By now, Gull had decided that she wanted the eldest and strongest son of her litter to be a SerenityClanner, where she could spread the family genes even more. So it was done. Tiger was to become a SerenityClanner. Tiger, for that was the tom's name, was taken from his mother as a newborn. His father quickly transplanted him into his litter back at SerenityClan, and took one of his own kits away so that he could take its place. Rippedstripe's SerenityClanner mate was distraught at one of her real kits being taken away, but she couldn't do anything about it. After the switch was done, Rippedstripe handed off his switched kit to Gull. Gull took the SerenityClan kit and killed it, along with all the weaker kits of her litter, according to dock cat tradition. Since there was no Sun Sea, Tiger's former brothers and sisters, and the switched kit, were drowned in the river. Tiger was the only survivor out of the litter, because he was the strongest and there was no other female to survive as well. Tiger's former litter had been all males. This was all done according to Gull's planning. Soon after the extra weaker kits were killed and Tiger was switched, Gull left. Probably ran off with some poor MoonClan tom, Tigerscream jokes grimly. Tiger was renamed Tigerkit. His SerenityClanner stepmother, Spottedtail, raised him along with her other two kits. She would carry the secret of her lost kit to the grave. Eventually, the kits all grew up to become apprentices. Tigerpaw and the rest of his stepfamily all had green eyes, so there was no way anycat could suspect them of not being true family. Growing up through apprenticehood, his stepsiblings always thought something was different, that he wasn't genuinely their brother, but they never had any proof. The switch was a total success. The only ones to know were Gull, Rippedstripe, Spottedtail, the switched kit, and eventually Tigerpaw. Slowly, everyone else disappeared from the equation, leaving Tigerpaw alone to carry his secret: that he wasn't really a member of SerenityClan; that he had been switched. Tigerscream is the third generation of dock cats in his line. He carries the gene from his grandfather. [ I D O N ' T K N O W W H A T ' S W O R T H F I G H T I N G F O R ] Tigerpaw had a lot of anger as an apprentice. He always said, "Better to be angry than hurt." When he was old enough, his father told him about her past, and his mother's past. It hurt him deeply that his mother would never love him. When his father saw his sadness and anger, he scorned him. "Your mother, Gull, she picked you to be the survivor! Would you rather have ended up dead, at the bottom of the river with your siblings? I gave up one of my kits for you, your mother selected you, and you have been bred for strength. And yet here you stand before me, cowering. Are you not the dock cat that your ancestors were?" Even so, Tigerpaw was unsure of his loyalty for the longest time, though he kept his self-doubt a secret. Should he become the brutal dock tom his father and mother had expected him to be? Why had his mother left? He kept all these questions close to his heart, strung and knotted together. Over time, these questions built up until Tigerpaw had a rag in his heart. Eventually, Slatepaw became tired of fighting was she had been pre-destined and chosen by her own mother to be. She chose to embrace her dock cat heritage. [ O R W H Y I H A V E T O S C R E A M ] At first, Tigerpaw didn't know what to make of his decision. His indecisiveness only served to make him even angrier, until he was angry with himself almost all the time. And though he let that anger go eventually, there is still a spark of it residing deep inside of him. In fact, even though Tigerpaw had tried to bury it away, he would always bear some tightlipped resentment for himself. His temper has calmed, though. [ I D O N ' T K N O W W H Y I I N S T I G A T E ] The day came when Tigerpaw became a warrior. Tigerscream was to be his newly bestowed name. Tigerscream remembers his Leader's exact words, Tigerscream, for you untamed tongue and fighting spirit. Indeed, Tigerscream did have a fighting spirit. He would reluctantly leave small border fights, sometimes guiltily wishing they had turned into something bigger, something worth shedding blood at. Many a time he was caught expending his wrath, or having a tussle with another tom. In fact, his warrior ceremony almost was delayed because of it. Many of the wiser cats knew him to be the instigator of such fights, even when he wasn't caught. [ A N D S A Y W H A T I D O N ' T M E A N ] Moons passed and Tigerscream gained an apprentice, Flashpaw. It was a classic story. He trained him in everything he knew, always pushing him further than he knew he could go. Flashpaw didn't agree with his style of training, as well as the rest of SerenityClan. The whole camp saw what he was doing, but reasoned to stay out of his business. He worked him all day long, never stopping for a break, and he detested him for it. It was his undoing. Tigerscream only saw how he had made him the strong tom that he would grow up to be, and cared nothing for their relationship. In the end, Flashpaw became Flashflood. For the rest of his days, he watched him as he watched him, neither liking the other. He despised Flashflood for hating him, and he despised Tigerscream for being the dominate tom that he was. They would always be enemies, until one day, Flashflood disappeared. Dragged down in the river, many cats muttered. Some weren't so sure. Many of them thought that Tigerscream might know. [ I D O N ' T K N O W H O W I G O T T H I S W A Y ] Tigerscream grew in determination and power after that. He became revered for his blunt attitude and harsh justice. Tigerscream liked to have things under an iron paw, especially when it came to she-cats. Then it happened. Jasminestar had announced that she would be leaving, and the Clan was in mass hysteria. Clearpool had become temporary leader and she was to appoint a temporary deputy. Everycat tried to outdo the other, vying for the position of top candidate. Tigerscream watched from the shadows, confident he would blow them all away. A word here, a tail flick there, and it was made abundantly clear that Tigerscream was already the victor before the moon started. The final day of judgment. Tigerscream could feel the tension in the Clan. Dominance emanated from him. Perhaps too much overconfidence. Maybe that's why the Leader hesitated before making the descision. The temporary Deputy of SerenityClan will be... Tigerscream. [ I ' L L N E V E R B E A L R I G H T ] Ambitious? Maybe so. Dominant? Definitely yes. Willful? Of course. It's only to be expected. Tigerscream had been waiting his whole life to find a chance to prove himself. Not to the Clan, but to his own heart. Tigerscream assured himself that, yes, his survival wasn't an accident, and yes, he will do as his mother expected of him. Still, other cats agreed that one day, he would make a strong rock for their Clan. Rough around the edges, but with the grit and resolve to prove himself, he may settle down yet. But one has to wonder, will he ever rid himself of the dark, dock cat instinct in his heart? [ S O I ' M B R E A K I N G T H E H A B I T T O N I G H T ] One thing is for sure. Tigerscream knew he would live to become a powerful, dominant tom of SerenityClan. Name: Chickenscratch Gender: Tom Clan: Serenityclan Rank: Deputy Age: 50 moons
Personality: Chickenscratch is a docile tom. He prefers peace over battles any day. Chickenscratch is known to be quiet and kind. Cats love to turn to him for advice. He is a born leader and knows to do what’s best, even if it means breaking the warrior code.
When he is around others, he likes to have fun as well. But when he’s alone, he is haunted by his past. But he is determined not to let anyone see that side of him though.
Description:
Looks;
So I guess you’re now trying to figure out why he’s named Chickenscratch. Well, he looks like a golden chicken. The tom’s fur is a rich golden colour, with flecks of black that look like the outline of feathers. He has giant black paws, that would be the chicken’s feet. The only difference, is his robin egg blue eyes.
Claws and Teeth;
Chickenscratch’s claws are like giant, hooked thorns. They are black, like his paws, and the are long and hooked. His fangs are as sharp as his claws, and they are long as well. If you look at his front teeth, they are considerably tiny. But his molars are sturdy and strong.
Build;
Chickenscratch is an average sized tom. His weight is distributed perfectly through his body. Chickenscratch is a ver fit tom, and he’s able to run for quite a while. When you look at him, you wouldn’t see a cat who is lean and strong. That’s because he looks like he hasn’t eaten in moons. But don’t let that fool you. Even though he prefers peace, he is always battle-ready.
Scars;
Because of his difficult past, Chickenscratch has many scars to his name. He has one in particular, that starts from the bridge of his nose, passes over his right eye, and travels down his neck. It ends at his shoulder. He got that wound trying to save his mate from the evil cat, Silhouette.
History: Kithood;
Our tale starts in the forest of Darkness. This is where the Clans of the Darkness reside. A young kit, by the name of Chickenkit was born to Redclaw and Feathertale. Redclaw used to be a farm cat, and he remembered a chicken that was the colour of the evening sun. So the two named him Chickenkit. He had three other siblings, Dustkit, Thornkit, and Thistlekit. Thornkit was a male, and thistlekit and Dustkit were both females. The parents couldn’t be happier. The kits were healthy throughout their entire kithoods, and they were extremely close. The four wouldn’t go off without eachother.
Apprenticeship;
Naturally, when they were apprentices, they couldn’t be happier. Chickenpaw received Goldenfeather as his mentor. She was a kind old she-cat, who was going to retire soon. He grew super-close to the she-cat. His siblings also received excellent mentors. Thornpaw received Darkstar as his mentor, Thistlepaw received Mouseleg, and Dustpaw got Rockpelt. They were all trained excellently.
While they grew, the four still stayed extremely close. But they each received their own personalities. Chickenpaw was the quiet, sensitive one, Thornpaw was the outgoing, crazy one, Thistlepaw was the loud obnoxious one, and Dustpaw was the shy, insecure one. The four fit eachother perfectly. Thornpaw would make Dustpaw relax and have fun, and Chickenpaw kept Thistlepaw grounded. The four always trained together.
A few days before their ceremony, a battle broke out between Whisperclan and Hiddenclan. Though the four fought bravely, Whisperclan was greatly outnumbered, and they lost many warriors. Miraculously, the four came out alive, as did their parents. But, Chickenpaw soon found out that one cat didn’t. Goldenfeather, his mentor, was killed in the battle. He was so sad. She was like his grandmother, and he loved her.
Warriorhood;
Soon after the battle, Chickenpaw received his name. Though he was sad about the death of his mentor, he could feel her spirit beside him as he received his name. As the four of them vowed to protect the warrior code, they all received their names. Chickenpaw received Chickenscratch, Thistlepaw got Thistlefeather, Dustpaw became Dustclaw, and Thornpaw received Thornpelt. The four of them stood guard with eachother, and were happy to do it.
A few moons later, when Chickenscratch was only fourteen moons old, he met a she-cat in his clan named Sparrowfeather. She always seemed sad, so Chickenscratch quickly befriended her and she cheered up around him. Naturally, he introduced her to his siblings, and the usual teasing broke out. Oh, Chicken’s got himself a girlfriend!! That would be Thistlefeather. But he didn’t mind, because Thistlefeather was right. He did love her, and he soon told her. She replied the same, and they couldn’t be happier.
When Chickenscratch was twenty moons, Sparrowfeather gave birth to two toms. They named them Sparkkit and Coalkit. The two instantly bonded, and reminded Chickenscratch of him and his siblings.
When the two kits were apprentice, Darkstar gave Sparkkit to Chickenscratch to mentor, and Coalkit went to Dustclaw. The pair trained their apprentices together, and Thistlefeather and Thornpelt usually tagged along. So when the two apprentices were ready for their warrior names, the four were very happy. Coalpaw received the name of Coalspice, and Sparkpaw became Sparkprism.
Soon after that, tragedy struck. Sparrowfeather and Sparkprism disappeared, along with many other Whisperclan warriors. Chickenscratch, Coalspice, Thistlefeather, Dustclaw and Thornpelt looked everywhere, but none of them could find the two. Chickencratch was really sad. But he knew he needed to find them. And that day came too soon.
Silhouette, the Chaosfire of the Forest of Darkness, had created her own clan, Secretclan, to get her revenge on the clans. She had stolen many cats from the clans, enough to create her own clans, and launched an attack on the five clans. She had many rogues on her side, along with her deputy, Revenge, who would do anything she asked. The five clans were greatly outnumbered, and they soon lost the battle. Chickenscratch had attacked Silhouette, and she slashed his face and left him an ugly scar he would never forget. When the battle was over, and there were practically no living clan cats left, Chickenscratch looked around. Amazingly, his siblings and Coalspice had made it through. But his eyes found his mate and other son. Sparrowfeather had died saving Sparkprism, but the young tom had also died. He made his way over to them and held his own vigil for them. His son and siblings followed. When morning came, they buried the two.
There was nothing left of the clans. The cats who had made it through the battle didn’t have enough in each clan to make the clan system work. Chickenscratch knew he had to lead his family away from the forest. So, with his parents, only son, and three siblings, they made the trek.
Entering the Black River Forest;
Chickenscratch was only thirty moons when they reached the Black River Forest. He could smell cats, and knew this was where they needed to be. He found a clan, and asked to join them. The clan could tell they were in poor shape, but Chickenscratch insisted that if they had a few days to rest, they would be fit again. The clan accepted them, and they moved in. The clan, Chickenscratch soon found out, was Serenityclan. The leader, Jasminestar, was a kind cat.
Ten moons later, Chickenscratch and his family fit in so well that no cat could think they didn’t belong in Serenityclan. They all had friends, but they were still close. Chickenscratch knew where they needed to be. And it was here.
He was happy. But when he was alone, the battle still haunted his mind. He could never get the image of his mate or his son lying dead out of his head. But his siblings would always know when he was feeling down, and they would make him feel better.
Ten moons later, Jasminestar disappeared. Clearpool obviously trusted Chickenscratch and made him her temporary deputy. He knew it was only temporary, but it was fun. But then devastating news came. Jasminestar had died! He knew Clearpool had to go to the Moonshard, so he was ready to accompany her there. When they arrived back home, Clearstar made him her deputy, and they worked together for many moons. His siblings were proud of him and he always made time for them.
Relationships:
Redclaw – Father Feathertale – Mother Dustclaw, Thistlefeather – Sisters Thornpelt – Brother Coalspice – Son Sparkprism – Son (deceased) Sparrowfeather – Former Mate (deceased) Goldenfeather – Former Mentor (deceased)
In Character:
There was a storm raging overhead as the cats below fought for their lives. It was five clans against the massive clan of Secretclan. Chickenscratch looked around. He knew they would lose. But he had to get his revenge on Silhouette for stealing his mate and son. He looked around. The evil cat was slashing at his leader, Darkstar. Silhouette! He howled, lunging at her. He carried her off her paws and off his leader. He had he pinned down. One slash to the neck and it would all be over. But he took too long. The she-cat threw him off and slashed a claw down his face and neck. Something to remember me by. She hissed in his ear before throwing him across the clearing. He hit the ground with a thud and blacked out.
When he woke up, it was all over. The battle had ended, and all around him were lifeless bodies. He heard a squeal of delight and felt a tongue against his head. He lifted his head and saw his family standing around him. He struggled to his paws and Dustclaw pressed against him. I thought we had lost you! She cried, before licking his ears again. He grinned weakly. It’ll take more than that to kill me. He told her. Where’s Sparrowfeather and Sparkprism? He asked. Instantly, all the noises stopped. Everyone was staring at him like they were surprised he didn’t know. What? He asked. Then he stopped. No… He murmured. When his eyes scanned the clearing, he saw it. Sparrowfeather’s body was draped over Sparkprism’s, like she was protecting him. But he had died anyway. He let out a cry of anguish, scrambled to his paws, and bolted over to him. He settled down beside the pair and held a silent vigil. The others came over to join him, and they all stayed there until morning. When that came, they carried the two bodies to Whisperclan camp and buried them.
We need to leave. Chickenscratch announced. The others stared at him. There’s nothing left. We need to find another place to live. Silently, the others agreed with him. They needed a new home. So the seven of them set off to a new place. None of them would have ever guessed they would meet the cats of the Black River Forest.
Other:
Yes, there is other Clan names here, but that’s because that’s where he started. And I’m trying out because Firestar’s going to die soon.

He is a very quiet cat, he is only quiet when he wants to listen to the cats conversation and he tells his leader everything she needs to know about whats going on in the clan and at gatherings. He loves all the elements of the earth but it depends on his mood. He isn't a very sensitive cat and usually knows what others are thinking by their facial expressions. He is a very bold cat and loves to go into battle, but not if it isn't necessary. He is very protective over himself and his clan, he can be really stubborn when it comes to others ordering him around. The only cat he will listen to any orders are from his leader and medicine cat, he would only listen to a lower position if it's an emergency. He would protect his clan even if it meant life or death. Past. When Shatteredhawk was born he was the kit that seemed like the follower out of the bunch. He never came up with the adventures but was very happy to join in on them, he spoke only when spoken to and had a very good memory just not a photographic one. He was the son of Mistakestar and Rigidsoul, his father was the brother of Tallstar and his mother was in the clan far away from the Black River Clans. She had come to SerenityClan when she was pregnant and died having his last 2 siblings, Shortleaf, and Tallwhisker. Shatteredkit was the middle child out of his siblings, first was Sagekit, then was Serenekit, then the last 2 were born at the same time Tallkit and Shortkit. He always followed what others told him and never talked without being spoke to, that didn't change when he became an apprentice.
As an apprentice Shatteredpaw made sure he did everything his mentor told him, he was a very excellent hunter as well. His mentor always praised him on his catches but he was scold for his fighting. Every time Shatteredpaw tried a battle move his long fur would get in his face and he would mess up, but he was still known for his amazing hunting skills. A moon after his 8th Shatteredpaw had learned how to keep his fur from flying in his face and became a very good fighter. His fighting skills, he knew, would come in handy as a warrior.
He and his siblings were made warriors on their 13th moon, his mentor was made an elder the same day and no one knew why because he looked young and healthy. On his 16th moon he, his siblings and his great-cousin, who he found out was in his clan, fought hard and well against Chaosfire's rogue band. Cloudcry had run off and Sagepool, Serenenight, Shatteredhawk, and Reflectionrose had went after him after the rogues were run out. They got there just in time to see their great-cousin be slaughtered by some strayed rogues, Sagepool had been fatly injured when he jumped out to quickly and the large group also killed him. Shatteredhawk helped a warrior and Serenenight carry their brother and their great-cousin back to camp where they would be honored. A couple moons later Shatteredhawk was presented with an apprentice, he taught the small sized tom how to hunt as well as he and how to fight. A few moon after his apprentice was made a warrior the clan went into battle with the tribe, Poolcry was killed and Serenenight was injured badly. A moon after that a gathering was held, when the clan came back the cats that stayed behind were notified about Jasminestar's dream and that Mysticsight will be accompanying her. Not knowing when they will be back Clearpool appointed Shatteredhawk as temporary deputy, and after they find out that Jasminestar and Mysticsight are dead he becomes Clearpool's faithful deputy. In-Character. 'Why did I have to leave? Why did I have to be safe? Can't I take care of us?' A black she-cat made her way through rough grass and horrid trees, she even had thorns stuck in her legs. Large night green orbs glowed with anger, pain, and annoyance, 'Shut up! I don't need to hear you complaining all the way! I'm the 1 that told you that you loved my mistake, you shouldn't be the 1 traveling to a safe place!' The black femme made her way under large bushes, larger then she's ever seen before. Her mind swirled with hate about the trip and love for the ones she had left behind, 'I don't care that you joined us, Rigid, just as long as I get to see my star again' A sweet sing-song voice replied to the dead sounding voice, both not liking the other more with each step. The black she-cat stared ahead of her with large green irises, a lake glittered in front as she pulled the other with her. 'You just might be glad that I find us actual water, Soul. Now stop complaining and come with me!' The black femme followed the other gracefully towards the glittering lake, when they got there 2 battle ready cats with bared teeth and puffed out tails and fur. 'Who are you and what are you doing in our territory?!' A complete amber male snarled at them, the other white and amber femme relaxed. 'I can hear your heart beat, it's 2 at the same time, Reflecionpaw! There's 2 heart beats!' The black femme looked at the amber and white femme then at the amber tom, her large night green eyes stared into the toms liquid gold eyes, knowing that the tom wouldn't hurt them because of their round belly. 'We're Rigid and Soul, for some reason my mistake and her star and everyone we know call us Rigidsoul. Like as one name! Can you believe that? I am nothing like Soul and she is totally not like me!' Reflectionpaw looked at his sister then at the short pregnant black femme, he had heard what she had said but he didn't understand it. There was 1 cat here but this cat was talking about 2 cats. 'I think we better tell Jasminestar about this' Reflectionpaw beckoned to Rigidsoul and he and his sister lead them towards camp, not knowing what was wrong with her. Relationships and Kin. mother- Rigidsoul father- Mistakestar foster mother- Starfaith[deceased] brothers- Sagepool, Tallwhisker sisters- Shortleaf, Serenenight cousins- Rippedear, Windclaw, Rogueclaw, Soulmistake, Fireclaw, Tigerfur, Mirror, Blood, Rose aunts- Safrenedge, Craterblood uncles- Tallstar, Mirageflake great cousins(all dead)- Windpool, Mudbelly, Cloudcry mentor- Ravencrush 1st apprentice- Poolcry Other. none Codewords. poison tears crash down

Flarewind says," Peek-a-boo" F L A R E W I N D + T h e M e a n i n g + Flare;; to burn with an unsteady, swaying flame, as a torch or candle in the wind. Wind;; air in natural motion, as that moving horizontally at any velocity along the earth's surface: G e n d e r + Tom A g e + 35 moons C l a n + SerenityClan R a n k + Deputy T h i s I s H o w H e L o o k s + Being a 'big boy', Flarewind's body is quite large, mostly muscle than fat. No, Flarewind wouldn't consider himself having any fat on him. His head is the perfect size for his body, not too big, not too small, with medium sized ears. These ears are a bit rounded at the bottom, with their tips being slightly rounded. Not pointy, no, he is not an elf. His ears aren't that furry, only on the outside of them, and even then, the fur is very short. His muzzle is shortened ever so slightly, not long but not squished up onto his poor face. Flarewind's eyes are a mixture of almond and round (would you call this alound?). They are a mixture of colors, mostly golden and green, with the green being small to medium sized fleck within the iris.
You can not really see some of Flarewind's body mass, due to his medium length fur. However, you can tell he has muscles underneath that fur, and that his shoulders are a powerful part of his body. His tail, something he uses as part of his emotions, is somewhere between long and medium length. It is very useful when he is trying to comfort someone, or when he is trying to settle someone down. Wow, he has some long legs. Not really. His legs are shorter than his tail, which they should be. But, they are shorter than normal. They do not hinder his ability to hunt or do anything of that sort, though.
My my, what big paws you have. Yes, his paws are HUGE. Okay, that was an exaggeration, but he has fairly large paws. These also help him with hunting. No, they do not make him some clumsy tom who scares away the prey around him. They are white, considering the white extends the length of his legs. His claws are fairly short, due to him climbing trees and them being worn down a lot. They are sharp, however, so he can do just that, climb trees. The claws are a clear-white color, but turn darker when they are dirty.
Flarewind's base coat color is white. This covers his whole body, even his paws, ears, and face. Upon the white, splotches of orange appear. These are more frequent on his back, and a few on his face. The ones on his face are on his chin, above his right eye, extending up between his ears, and down to his back. This also happens to his left side of his face, above his eye. This orange merges with the orange from the right eye, that extends down to his back. There is also a small mark of orange by the tom's right nostril. Upon the white and orange, are a few black splotches. One main black spot is on the right side of his face, from his cheek, up to the bottom of his right eye, to his ear, back to his neck, then back to his cheek. A large circle of black hair. There are a few black spots on his back, smaller than the one on his face. Upon his body, there are a few scars. One major one is scar(s) is across his face. They drag down from his left eye, to his nose. This was caused by Mystique, after the two fought on SerenityClan territory. A few scars line his shoulders, legs, and his face. There is a slight tear in his left ear, from when he was a kit and disappeared from the camp. His coat helps him when there are bitter leaf-bares, since it is thick. A c t L i k e A G e n t l e m a n + To summarize Flarewind. He is loving, to those he cares about, to kits that are his or adopted by him and his mate. He is caring, to his Clan, to those who have been injured, or to those who just need a shoulder to lean on. He is supportive of anyone's decisions, unless it is to end their life, or end someone else's life. He can be angry (see below to see what angers him). He is loyal to those who are higher up in rank, never to break someone's trust or tell someone's secret to anyone. He is respectful, to those who deserve it. Flarewind can be a trouble maker, when he gets too bored to find something to occupy his time. He is patient, sometimes too patient. And all these he got from Aurorapelt and Eagleclaw.
Now, yes, all cats have an angry side. And Flarewind has a DANGEROUS one. So, beware. When he gets angry, his tail will snap quickly in the air, and you'll see how angry he is within his eyes. Caution, to those who are pranksters. There are a few things that will make him lose his cool. Those would be cats who don't mind their own business, apprentices who do not do as their told, cats who think he should do everything in the world, those who think they are better than anyone else, rogues, loners, and kittypets who wander onto Clan territory, and won't leave, cats who disrespect the leader, apprentices who annoy the crap outta you. Those things. So, better not fit yourself into the list, or you will have an enemy instantly.
Oh, happy happy, joy joy. Flarewind seems to be constantly happy. His emotions will be shimmering with his eyes, and his tail will be flicking a lot if he is in a happy mood. He is usually talkative when happy, as well. Though, this happy mood can change as quickly as the weather, so watch out for signs of his tail to stop swaying, and the light in his eyes to disappear. What a sad story. This tom does have his sad spurts, and when he is sad, those golden-green eyes of his show it. It is usually not wise to approach Flarewind when he is down, due to the fact that he can snap at you at any moment. His tail will not be flicking, but rather wrapped around him if he is sitting down. His mood can be lifted, however, if you were to just sit down and talk to him about what is wrong. If he changes the subject on you, it means he doesn't want to talk about it anymore because it is a touchy subject.
He is very respectful to his Clan members, and those of higher rank. Of course, he is loyal as well, never to break the warrior code. He's followed it his whole life so far, and will continue to do so. Even if he is in StarClan. Flarewind is a sweet-natured tom, always hanging out with whom-ever is close to him. He loves to check on kits and queens within the nursery, hoping one day to have a family of his own. Usually, he can be found sunbathing out in the camp, due to his love of the sun.
When you first meet Flarewind, he will usually just stare at you, trying to figure you out. Do initiate the start of a conversation or something, because he will not do it. He is not chicken, he just doesn't start conversations with cats he does not know. Unless they need comforting of some sort. He is known to be shy around newer cats, and withdrawn. This is from not being around a lot of cats when he was younger. T h e P a s t i s B e t t e r F o r g o t t e n + H i s P a r e n t s ;; Aurorapelt and Eagleclaw. Two very different cats. But opposites attract, do they not? They met when they were apprentices, while training with their own mentors. They vowed to be together through thick and thin, and finally, when each gained their warrior names, they became mates. Everyone knew it was bound to happen sometime, and the Clan was glad it did. They were, as some would call, the perfect couple. Eagleclaw, and his black and white coat, and Aurorapelt, with her calico body. It was as if StarClan destined them to be together. Moons passed, and finally, the news spread around SerenityClan that Aurorapelt was expecting kits. B i r t h && S i b l i n g s ;; Everything was normal about Flarekit coming into the world. The Medicine Cat was there to help, along with some of the other queens who already had kits. Aurorapelt loved her kits dearly, each and every one of them. Flarekit had two other siblings, two sisters. Poor him. His mother named them Eveningkit, because they were born as the sun was going down, and Silentkit, because she was very quiet, unlike Flarekit and Eveningkit. T h e D e a d O n e s ;; The Medicine Cat predicted that one of Aurorapelt's kits were not going to make it within the next week, because cases of Greencough were sweeping through the other Clans. And, he was right. Silentkit died three nights later, and it sent Aurorapelt into a depression. This depression soon took hold of Flarekit's mother, and cost her her life. His father was strong enough to not let these deaths get to him, but sometime later, when Flarekit was going to be made into a warrior, he too lost his life. K i t h o o d ;; After the death of his mother, he was fostered by a kind, young she-cat by the name of Dappledflower. She had two other kits of her own, one having died of Greencough at the same time as Silentkit. Dappledflower made sure that Eveningkit and Flarekit grew up to be healthy and strong, hoping they wouldn't catch Greencough like their sister had. Flarekit grew fairly quickly, his coat shaggy while being a kit. He got into a mess of trouble, from leaving the nursery, to actually leaving the camp and exploring through SerenityClan's territory. It had been his father who had found him out there, and Eagleclaw was quite angry with Flarekit. But, that anger simmered away, as he saw his son growing quickly. Flarekit's mishaps gained him a reputation as a trouble maker within the Clan, and the only ones that really talked to him anymore were Eveningkit and Dappledflower's kits, Brightkit and Robinkit.
One night, Flarekit heard a noise outside, and snuck out into the camp. Eveningkit had felt her brother move, and followed him out. But, Flarekit was no where to be seen within the camp. Eveningkit went back into the nursery to sleep, waiting for her brother to come back. Flarekit wasn't going to come back that night, though, and this caused panic to sweep through the camp, and his father. The following day, while a patrol was out checking borders, they came across the body of Flarekit. He had a few scratches along his body, and he was barely breathing. Taking him back to camp, the Medicine Cat declared that something had attacked the kit, and that he was going to be alright, if he would just rest.
Flarekit was within the Medicine Cat's den for two moons, just in time for his apprentice ceremony. When he was finally apprenticed, on a muggy Greenleaf day, he was given the mentor of his own father, Eagleclaw. A p p r e n t i n c e s h i p ;; Eagleclaw taught his son every day, unless something else came up. Flarepaw loved training, hunting was his specialty, and his father taught him things in this relentlessly. The days passed quickly, while the nights passed by as slow as a snail. Flarepaw grew to see his sister training as well as Robinpaw and Brightpaw. The four apprentices were like peas of a pod, never leaving each others sides, unless absolutely necessary.
More trouble did follow after Flarepaw, though, when he was an apprentice. One night, he snuck out again, only to be caught by his father. Eagleclaw was furious, demanding to know why his son would risk something like this, especially when his warrior ceremony was so soon. Flarepaw knew he had disappointed his father, and withdrew into himself. He did not talk to anyone, not even Eveningpaw, whom he had confided everything into. Flarepaw's father knew he had been too harsh on the apprentice, but he did not know how to apologize to someone who knew that what he did was wrong. Flarepaw put all his feelings into his training, so that no one could say he was bottling them up.
The day that Eveningpaw, Flarepaw, Robinpaw, and Brightpaw were to become warriors, tragedy struck. A hunting patrol had found Eagleclaw's body, having fallen down the ravine, onto the rocks below. It had looked as if someone had pushed him off, however, but no one could come up with who could've pushed Flarepaw's and Eveningpaw's father. Flarepaw, saddened by his father's death, was to receive his warrior name still, without his mentor. T h e G l o r y D a y s ;; When Flarepaw was made a warrior, the leader of SerenityClan made his name become Flarewind, due to the fact he was like a fire in the wind at times. Flarewind sat vigil with his sister Eveningstorm, Robinflight, and Brightfoot. When the next day dawned, Flarewind took to burying his father, and sitting with him through another night. The newly made warrior was too depressed to eat, or to even sleep. This caused Eveningstorm to become very angry with her brother, because they had made a pact to go hunting together when they were made warriors. It was weeks before Flarewind came out of his depressive state, but by that time, Eveningstorm had left SerenityClan for her own reasons. Flarewind was not saddened by the loss of his sister, he was quite glad the nagging she-cat was gone.
Within the following weeks after Eveningstorm's departure from SerenityClan, Flarewind gained his first apprentice. Her name was Hollowpaw, due to the fact that she seemed kind of hollow inside her head. Training her was the best thing in his life, and he taught her everything Eagleclaw had taught him before he had died. Training with Hollowpaw was a tad boring, however, because the she-cat seemed to forget everything she had been taught from the lesson before. This frustrated Flarewind, and he grew to dislike Hollowpaw. Days passed, and then something horrible happened again to Flarewind. While out training with Hollowpaw, the she-cat apprentice dashed off ahead of Flarewind. A heart-wrenching yowl came from the apprentice's direction, and Flarewind dashed to see what was going on. He got there, just as he saw the she-cat topple off, over into the ravine.
That day was a horrible day for the tom. He had lost his father to the ravine, and now he had lost Hollowpaw. No one saw it as his fault. They believed that Hollowpaw should have stayed by her mentor's side, instead of running off. This caused Flarewind to feel a little better than he had previously. He did blame himself, however, for the apprentice's death. He helped retrieve his apprentice's body, and sat with her throughout the night, then buried her the next day.
The moons passed quickly, Flarewind never acquiring another apprentice. He saw his friends get their own apprentices, and jealousy grew within him. But, it would go away, when they asked if he wanted to come along on hunting parties and border patrols. This got him away from camp, where he would just sulk around endlessly. Flarewind grew a special bond with Musicdrift, a pretty she-cat who found Flarewind nicer than most toms. While out with her one day, a rogue ambushed them. This rogue was none other than Mystique, Lightningstorm's daughter (he didn't know it at the time). Trying to protect Musicdrift, Flarewind attacked the rogue, and she managed to get a good swipe across his face. After Mystique retreated, Flarewind and Musicdrift went to the Medicine Cat, to heal his wounds.
The battle with the Tribe came quickly, and soon, the Clan was back from the battle. It was if it had only happened within a matter of seconds. He had worried about Musicdrift the whole time she had been away at the battle, him having stayed back to protect the camp. When he saw Musicdrift limping through the forest, he had to help her. And, strange feelings seemed to seep within every particle of his being. Maybe it was ... love? Yes, he did care for the she-cat. And so, when Flarewind finally confessed his feelings for her, the two became mates, never to be separated. And that was how it was going to be.
It seemed as if things within the Clan was finally settling down, until the day that Jasminestar announced that she had to leave. StarClan said she had to. And it was to be for a moon only. Clearpool would be the temporary leader, and she was to pick a temporary deputy. Oh, how Flarewind hoped it was him. He really did see to it that his Clan was provided for and protected, and he vowed he would never betray his Clan in any way possible. D e p u t y s h i p s t e r s ;; "And, the temporary deputy of SerenityClan is..." Clearpool's voice seemed to ring in Flarewind's ears, even now. He had been chosen. Out of everyone in SerenityClan, Flarewind was the temporary deputy. And he was proud of himself. He was going to be one of the best deputies his Clan had ever seen, even if it was only until Jasminestar came back. He had vowed to his Clan he would be a good deputy, and that is what he was going to be. Flarewind wasn't only going to make his Clan proud of him, but also his dead family proud as well. I n C h a r a c t e r + Sun. Trees. Breeze. Flowers. Moss. Blood. Wait, blood? The salty smell of blood came to the calico-mix tom, his ears tilting slightly back against his head. Where in StarClan was this blood coming from? His paws carried him through the scattered trees, his muscular form catching the little specks of light that filtered through the leaves above. Then, it would be bathed in shadows, making the dark splotches on his coat darker. Flarewind paused, the smell of blood so overwhelming, that it made him sway on his paws.
Where was it coming from? His golden-green eyes looked frantically everywhere, not catching anything in sight that would emit the salty smell. Tail swayed, as claws extended, preparing himself for a surprise attack if necessary. Muscles tensed, but no attack came. He exhaled loudly, and continued through the underbrush, on full alert.
And there was that smell again. He shook out his coat, and then, his eye caught the body of a cat. It was facing away from him, but blood was soaked into its whole body. Ears flicked uneasily, as he ventured forward, the curiosity overtaking every cell within his body. What had happened to this cat? He bent his nose down to sniff the body, and he pulled way in disgust. This cat had the smell of a kittypet. But what was the kittypet doing here? He shook his head, and backed off.
He had to report this to the Clan leader. A dead kittypet within the territory had to mean something. His paws carried him away from the dead cat, now fearful of what had killed the kittypet. If it was something, like an animal of some sort, then the Clan was in trouble. H i s F a m i l y + Mother;;
