<sup>A tuxedo colored tom strode out his Twolegs' nest as they opened the door, casting an angered look. "Stupid servants," he muttered as they closed the door, his usually flowing British accent now sharp with temporary hatred. "How dare they keep me shut up like that all day! Don't they know that such royalty as I need a little fresh air as well?" He sighed, padding over to some catnip that grew in the back of the yard. His Twolegs had planted it just for him, but he actually was not as obsessed with it as most cats. He actually didn't like it too much. But he occasionally ate it just to please them. "Sometimes I think they'll never learn."

The kittypet put a paw up to his face, pushing his fake monicle a tad higher. He shook his head afterward, as the string from his top hat was bothering his soft-furred chin. He then trotted over to the fence and hopped upon it, tilting his head to one side in wonder. Suppose there are other cats here? They wouldn't think they were superior to him of all cats, or they'd get a nice slash at the constitution. This kittypet knew how to lash his tongue, and most cats in his old neighborhood would whimper and cower beneath him when he yelled.

"I'm am Darius..." he murmured to himself, and then bursted into a calling.

"If you are there, show yourself!"</sup>[/sup]

Cally was out in her yard when she heard the tom meow. Wonder who it is... She jumped over the fence and looked at the cat that yowled out. He was a bit odd looking wearing twoleg accessories. She wondered how he kept all that stuff on. "Hey! I'm Cally... who are you?" she asked in a friendly neighborly greeting. looking him over once more, the gold caught her eye. She had seen her twolegs burst into worry if just one little speck of that yellow colored stuff got lost. "Wow are you rich or something?" she asked gesturing to his tail.

A lithe ginger figure streaked along the fence at the calling; she was already riled today having been chased by a brute of a dog, and she wanted to see who was making such a fuss. She took off and landed nimbly beside the new cat, and now Cally. 'Do you mind not yelling? And be more polite when you're introducing yourself, at least!' she mewed crossly. 'I take it you are new? I've not heard any other cat on the block make such a racket.' she said, blinking demurely.

Darius smiled to Cally. Most of the cats in his old neighborhood were disagreeable and mean the moment they saw him. It wasn't his fault that his Twolegs pampered him. "Greetings, Cally," he mewed, his accent making it sound more like he said Calleh. "You may call me Darius. And yes, they do have quite a bit of money."

A new cat appeared, a ginger she-cat. Darius' eyes narrowed with anger at the newcomer. "Sorry," he muttered, rolling his eyes. "And yes, I am new. I moved in about a moon ago, but my Twolegs decided to shut me up for the whole time." He growled at the she-cat, not very loud though. He had to at least try to stay calm. "Now, I don't believe you have introduced yourself at all."</sup>

bic; Bambi narrowed her eyes at the newcomer. 'My name is Bambi.' she said, her long tail twitching slightly at the end. She sat down swiftly and kept her eyes narrowed as she surveyed Darius. 'A whole moon? Tough.' she said, raising one eyebrow at him at his explanation. Her amber eyes swept over his miniature twoleg clothing and she couldn't help thinking how uncomfortable that would be to wear.

<sup>Darius nodded. "Yes quite tough indeed. I understand they do a lot for me, but still!" His pupils drifted upward and he smiled, humored at the thought of his Twolegs. Those insane servants. They could be so stupid sometimes!

"So your name is Bambi, is it?" he mewed. "Nice." He tried to ignore the fact that the she-cat kept her eyes narrowed. He was trying to keep cool. His eyes were half-closed and calm, beginning to survey over both of the she-cats.</sup>[/sup]

Bambi nodded. 'Yes. And if you'll be so kind as to excuse me I have somewhere to be.' she said. She had been on her way to Coffee and Cream's house to see their kits that couldn't really be classed as kits anymore. 'You could come if you want, I'm going to see my friends.' she said, in an attemt to be vaguely nice.

Cally's mind had wandered for a bit... She had been daydreaming about her life in the forest. But it was more of a daymare or whatever. No specific word for it... But as Bambie spoke of going to her see her friends, her attention snapped back in place. Cally slightly lowered her head in shame of daydreaming in the middle of a conversation. Under her pelt Cally's cheeks turned red. Hoping she didn't miss anything Big she looked over the classy tom once more.

Darius' short-temper was beginning to lower. His muscles became less tense, and as he spoke nicer to Bambi, she spoke nicer to him. He nodded as the light ginger she-cat mentioned she needed to leave, and brightened at invitation. "Yes, that would be nice. I'd like to meet the other cats in the neighborhood."

Just as the classy tuxedo tom began to stand up, a Siamese tom appeared not far away. "Hey guys!" Sentres mewed happily. He felt bouncy today. He'd not seen his friends in a while, and it seemed there were a few new cats in town. He dashed along the maze of fences until he reached the other three. "Who are you guys?" he mewed, motioning with his tail to Darius and Cally.

Darius waved his tail as a new cat arrived. "My name's Darius."</sup>

"I'm Cally!" replied the tortoishell she-cat. Her tail swept the ground excitedly. She was meeting so many cats tonight! "Can I come to?" she asked Bambi. The other she cat seemed vaguely annoyed with Darius, but Cally payed no mind. She looked over the cat that just arrived. The tom was a breed that she had never seen before. shrugging she looked back to Bambi waiting for the answer.

Four small paws brushed the pavement as Tala padded after Sentres. The dappled grey she-cat raised her head as she noticed her mate speaking to Bambi, and two other kittypets she did not know. One, who was younger than her, looked bright and friendly, but the other, a tom, looked haughty and proud. Tala lashed her tail as she noticed Bambi's irritation. "Hey guys," she mewed, brushing Sentres' flank with her tail tip. "Hi, Bambi," she called to her friend. Tala nodded to the younger kittypet, then looked at the tom. As the tortoiseshell introduced herself, Tala smiled. The unusaul tufts of fur sprouting from her cheeks quivered. "Hello, Cally." Tala's pretty sapphire eyes turned back to the tom. "And you?" She asked, ear twitching slightly. Somehow she could tell that this was the cat who had annoyed Bambi.

^{Darius waved his tail to the dappled she-cat whom had appeared before him. He raised his brows in delight, his monicle lifting with it. He grinned, his teeth gleaming and smelling of mint. That was one pretty kitty. He purred lightly, still not realizing the connection between Sentres and Tale. The spoiled tom dipped his head a bit, looking up at her with shining orange eyes, whose golden flecks seemed to spark with admiration. "H-hello. I'm Darius. I'm fairly new."}[/sup]

^{Sentres purred as his mate arrived. "Hello, Tala," he mewed, returning her gesture. He looked back to Darius raising his one black paw to wash his ears. His neck fur began to bristle as he realizing what the tuxedo tom was trying to get into. Slamming down his foot, he growled at the dressy cat. He'd not realized how inconsiderate and oblivious he was. He wanted to yowl something nasty at him, but couldn't think of what to say,so he waited to see if Tala responded.}[/sup]

Bambi's jaw actually dropped when she saw Darius' expression towards Tala. She shut her mouth quietly and watched Sentres' reaction. The corners of her mouth lifted slightly into a small smile as she sat back and raised one eyebrow slowly and deliberately towards Darius. She turned to Cally. 'Sure you can come.' she whispered to her quietly.

One of Tala's brows shot up to form a stormy arch over her sapphire eye. The grey kittypet watched the haughty tom squirm, then introduce himself. The grey she-cat stepped towards him, her ears pricked high. "Well, Darius, I'm sure you can be friends with my mate and I." Tala stepped back towards Sentres, her tail draped over his shoulders. Inside she was laughing freely, but she kept her expression serious. She wanted this proud newcomer to learn his place. Tala moved closer to Sentres, feeling his short pelt brush her's. She almost let out a purr of amusement, but kept it held within herself as she awaited Darius' reaction.

Bambi's smile got wider as Tala made it clear to Darius he didn't have a chance. She got up and walked forward a few steps. 'Well, I'm going to see coffee and Cream and their kits, do you two want to come?' she asked, her amber gaze focussing on Tala and Sentres. Her pale ginger fur shone in the sun and her ringed tail pointed to the clear sky. This Darius had made her feel a lot better, even though he had made a fool of himself.

^{Darius' admiring expression quickly jolted to that of embarrassment. "Oh, uh, I, er..." His heart beated faster and faster, and he knew his reputation among these cats was already ruined. Sentres, the Siamese, had a glare that nearly burned a hole through his fur. The dappled gray she-cat, Tala, was looking greatly amused. And Bambi looked like she was about to bust up laughing. "Uh, yes. Friends..." Oh lord, was Darius in for it. But he quickly tried to change the subject. "So, uh, were going to see these friends of yours, right?" He directed his nervousness-showing question to Bambi, hoping to find a way out of this mess.}[/sup]

Bambi looked at Darius as he spoke and she felt slightly sorry for the new kittypet. She padded towards him and smiled, genuinely this time. 'Yeah, it's this way.' she said, and padded confidently along the pavement. It had rained last night, and puddles were lining the road. A Monster came roaring along the road and the puddle right beside Bambi sprang to life and soaked her to the skin. 'Yeow!!!' she yowled, shivering. 'I hate Monsters! Why couldn't twolegs just walk like the rest of us?' she cried irritably.

Tala let out a quiet purr, her eyes shutting breifly, as Darius spluttered in embarrasment. The grey she-cat brushed the kittypet's shoulder with her tail to take the edge out of her previous words. "Yes, Bambi," she mewed to her friend. "Let's go." Tala turned her head on one side. "Sentres and I can come, can't we?" The pretty she-cat looked questioningly back at her mate, not sure whether or not he would be interested in visiting Coffee, Cream and their three kits. Tala jumped as Bambi let out a wail. She ran to her friend's side, draping her long, spotted tail over the ginger tabby's shoulders. "I hate them too," she hissed fiercely, dark blue eyes glimmering with temper. "Twolegs are so lazy. Even mine." Tala snorted angrily, still glaring hotly at the small road.
