The sun was a bright yellow ball set in a background of light blue sky, just like in story books for twoleg children. The neat houses were set out in squares, the fences equal and precise. A slender young she-cat stood upon one, straining as high as she could see. Her coat was thick and fluffy, and a unmarked cream colour. Her paws, tail tip and ears were a dark, chocolate brown. She was very pretty, her dark sapphire eyes searching the undergrowth before her. Dakota was watching the forest, her ears flicking back and forth and though to catch sounds.
What was out there?

A chocolate-colored kitten quietly passed through the catflap in the twoleg door, towards the outside. He yawned and looked around. The sun was high in the clear blue sky. Tama could feel the heat on his back. He welcomed the warmth, because his twolegs had the air-conditioning running in their house. Something caught his eye. Balanced on the fence was his sister, Dakota. His ears perked up, and he walked over. Hello, Dakota. He managed to hoist himself up beside her. He saw that she was staring into the forest. What's up? Sayilu
So far away we wait for the day For the light source so wasted and gone We feel the pain of a lifetime lost in a thousand days Through the fire and the flames we carry on Her olivine optics darted about, making sure no one saw her as she slipped out the catflap. She slunk over behind a shrub in the landscaping, investigating her surroundings. Of course. She could never get outside, alone, assured that her siblings wouldn't find her hiding place. One already had-Koda. The kitten narrowed her eyes as she remembered that day. She was lucky he hadn't blabbed yet. Sayliu padded forth to the hole beneath the bench, slipping away to her hollow tree. She strode through the curtain of feathers and Twoleg ribbon-things. They always reminded her of Koda's appearance here, for they were what she made that day. She looked over her varied supplies; leaves, berries, acorns, Twoleg things. She had everything imaginable. Sayilu exited the small den, curving around to the back where a large flat stone lay. The youngster often used this to dry things, for no matter what time of day, a small stream of sunlight washed over the rock. Clambering upon it, she curled up in the warmth, basking happily as she pondered over what to do, happy that the tree would block her siblings' view of her.[/blockquote]
