The half-moon shimmered on her ginger pelt as Sunheart stood in silence at the Eclipse Lake. The tranquil water embraced her place on the rock. Fireflies fluttered past her head. The scar on both her ear was hidden. Her dull grey were half-closed, further darkening them. The tree canopy overhead meshed the moonlight with shadows of leaves. No emotion crossed her face.
She heard crickets and frogs make noise on the water's edge as she surveyed the EclipseClan territory. It reminded her of the dreams of adventure to StaClan, a glittering river running down the icy mountain grooves. Fish flopped around as they toppled down the watery depths. Sunheart's pensive gaze glanced around musingly, studying the area in silence. Her pushed-in expression seemed disdainful, but she enjoyed the nature around her. Her eyes reflected in the water below her, distorting her image.
The scent of mint and pine perforated the air. Sunheart inhaled deeply, loving the alone time. It was as if she was sleeping next to the warriors of StarClan. The air was balmy and breezy, warming up her flesh despite her inner-sadness. She wished she had been hurt instead of her brother. It wasn't like she was pretty anyway...
She sighed, waving her tail. She wondered if anyone else besides Beacansong had followed her here. Sunheart closed her eyes, filling her ears with the sound of water. The EclipseClanner didn't know if she was supposed to go this far on her vigil of silence.
