Solsticesong This nightmare (This nightmare) won't last long. Are you scared? (Are you scared?) To sing this song. I'm right there (I'm right there) by your side. Tonight we've got a chance.
[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Typical summer day. The birds were singing merrily overhead, their wings bathing in the sunlight that sparkled down upon the mighty Eclipse Lake. A figure walked through the grass. She was the only thing you could see actually, due to the grass being so tall. The massive she-cat, however, was followed by her apprentice, and today, they were going to do some training. However, this was Solsticesong and Costanopaw you're talking about. There's bound to be some goofing around, because that's how they are.
Anyway, back to the point. The she-cat's graceful figure plowed through the grassy path that led to the Lake. Today they were going to fish, or at least try to...and probably splash around in the process. Her hazel eyes kept trained forward, with an occasional down to make sure Costanopaw hadn't gotten lost.
"Alright, this here is Eclipse Lake. Some of the warriors hunt here: frogs, fish, bird eggs, water birds, and snakes. That's more difficult than land hunting so we'll do that first before trying out water hunting, and we'll see what you prefer." She smiled and flicked her tail before taking her seat near the water.

costanopaw. The fluffy, newly named apprentice leaped through the long grass, sneezing from time to time as floating pollen flew up his nose. He followed the hugely solid shape of his mentor, Solsticesong, smiling to himself and thinking I'm an apprentice now!
When the two cats came to a stop in front of the lake, Costanopaw's grin got wider. He had never seen Eclipse Lake before. "Wow, that is soooooo cooooool!" he said, looking up at Solsticesong. He listened as she informed him of what they were going to do today, and nodded enthusiastically. "Okay! I can do that, I'll catch them fishies!" he said, not quite rid of his kittish hyperness. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Solsticesong smiled at her apprentice's enthusiasm. "We'll get some form down first. Rump and shoulders down, tail too." She swatted at Costanopaw's airborne tail. "Ready your hindlegs, for they're the ones that direct the body on where to go. Set your sights on some prey and then lunge." She demonstrated as she did so, the majestic and massive female leaping forward and coming down upon a large bullfrog with its feet sticking comically out the sides of her maw. She quickly killed it and spat it out. "Alright, you try."

costanopaw.[/colour] Costanopaw snatched his tail down and held it against the ground, and pulled his fame inwards so he was leaning further towards the ground. He watched Solsticesong intently, but then something in the water caught his eye, a bright silvery fish, its scales shining in the water. "Woaaahh, look at that shiny fish!" he said, then smacked his tail towards his mouth, realising that he had almost missed Solsticesong demonstrating how do catch a frog. When she told him to try he shuffled further towards the edge, his eye still on the shiny fish, but then he shook his head and focused on another bullfrog, just like the one his mentor had caught. He sprang like she did and thrust his paws forward, ready to pin the frog. As he landed, the frog gave a nimble leap and took off at the last second. Costanopaw sat down with a thump. "Sorry." he said, looking back at Solsticesong. [/size]

[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------"Concentrate, child, or you'll never catch anything," Solsticesong reprimanded, giving him a stern eye that she couldn't hold for long without laughing. "Oh, who cares? Let's go catch that silvery fish." She leapt into the water like a tiger and swung comically at the ivory streak zooming through. She grinned and turned to Costanopaw.
"Come on in, the water's fine!" The drenched she-cat's fur hung in long sheets. She was probably one of the only cats who really liked to go swimming. Solsticesong laughed and turned, lunging down for a frog. There was no way in hell they were going to catch anything now. This was all for fun.
"How about this.... How about we go swimming every day? I swear you'll be as muscular as your father by doing it."

costanopaw.[/font][/colour] Costanopaw watched, wide eyes as Solsticesong dived into the lake after the silvery fish he had had his eyes on a second later. He tipped his head comically to one side, the trait he had always had since he was a kit, and watched Solsticesong. When she told Costanopaw to follow her in, he padded further towards the lake, but stopped a few paces away, gazing into the water in doubt. "I thought cats weren't meant to like water?" he asked, and went to shuffle a little closer to the edge to see if he could see the fish again. As he did so, his front claw caught on a tiny tree root and the patched bundle of fur went flying through the air, taking a sharp intake of breath as he hit the water.
Costanopaw let out a huge yowl, reflex to what he thought water would be like, but then he cut it off mid-squeal to make way for a huge giggle. "This -- is -- fun!" he said, then sneezed twice as water shot up his nose. [/size]

[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------"The members of the legendary TigerClan loved the water!" Solsticesong grinned, turning and lunging after another frog. This time she caught it, the bulbous thing protruding from her jaws. She quickly ate the piece of prey before galloping through the water towards Costanopaw, laughing with him.
"Wait, wait, shhhh~!" she whispered, pulling her apprentice close to her. She lowered herself down in the water and pointed out a gaggle of goslings running around about a badgerslength away from where they were.
"Let's go chase them," Solsticesong grinned, her tail swaying in the water. She knew that they weren't going to catch anything in this lake by the noise they were making but it was still going to be fun.

costanopaw.Costanopaw paddled after Solsticesong, ecery now and then his head would dip under the water. He found this quite hard, but it was great fun too. He saw the goslings that his mentor was pointing out, and he nodded as they swan slowly towards them. At one point he inhaled as his nose bobbed under the water, and he came up spluttering and coughing. "S-Solstice-song! I *splutter* My throat *cough* hurts!" he said, shaking his head to clear the water. When he stopped coughing he continued to swim forward, determined to let Solsticesong see that he wouldn't gove up on something. [/size]

[/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------"Don't breathe in," she said, swimming powerfully over to him and letting him cling to her back while she charged powerfully up through the lilypad-clogged waters. Solsticesong lunged from the lake like a sea monster and, laughing wildly, she chased after the goslings with no intention of catching them. The she-cat laughed heartily, until four geese showed up and starting honking and snapping their bills at them.
"Aaah! Costanopaw! Go the other way!" Solsticesong bellowed, still trying to laugh and inhale at the same time. The shaggy femme leapt over her apprentice and zig-zagged through the grass, finally coming to a halt by a large rock. She panted heavily, turning to her apprentice. She brushed some algae off of her ear and shook herself, smiling at him.
"Fun, huh?"
