A loud meow exploded the silence, sending cardinals, doves, grackles, and squirrels bustling away from the bird feeder and peanuts. Bacon's russet-red frame sauntered out. He wriggled his rear, crouched low and then lunged onto the fence that marked the territory of Bambi's nest. He meowed his high-pitched, distinctive mew again, hoping for her to come out, not her Two-legs. "Bambi, you home?" the gentle but hyperactive young tomcat called.

There was a loud, clattering din as the catflap of Tala's nest flipped open. Out shot a bundle of cream and chocolate fur, her paws pattering the grass gently. Dakota sniffed the air, the gesture exaggerated, standing on the very tips of her paws. The little kittypet's blue eyes shone as she recognized the scent of Bacon. Dakota twisted around in a circle, giggling under her breath, stumpy tail held high. "Hi Ba-con!" she chorused loudly, head thrown back and paws stamping the ground. The she-cat then smiled smugly, proud of her loud call, and waited for Bacon's reply.

Bacon nearly fell off the fence in surprise, his red head turned sharply. His gray eyes brightened and he leapt down to play with Dakoda. He meowed a playful greeting to the she-cat. "Hello Da~koda!" he said, imitating Tala's kit. He pressed his nose to her and then mewed. "Where are your brothers and sisters? Still napping with your mom?" The tom tilted his head, batting Dakoda's ear with his paw.

Koda tumbled after his sister. Dakota! Wait fer me! he meowed, waddling up to Bacon. the little tomkit grinned hugely. Hiya Bacon! We dunno where Bambi is, but mum is inside with brother! he mewed, giggling.
He batted Dakota's ears and tackled her.

Dakota pressed her nose enthusiastically to Bacon's, grinning widely. The cream coloured kitten turned with a cry of delight as Koda appeared in the garden. She flattened her front to the grass, her rear wriggling comically in the air, her tail straight and erect. Dakota giggled loudly, though her sapphire eyes were narrowed in preparation for an attack. She was ready when Koda tackled her, and slipped beneath him. She stuck her chin smugly in the air as he sailed over her, then stuck her short, startlingly pink tongue out at her brother. "Haha, you missed, clumsypaws!" Dakota paraded around her brother and Bacon, her tail still raised in triumpth.

Outofcans:// Dakoda is darling <33
believeinChrist:// Bacon laughed out loud at the sibling's antics, the red tabby having a large smile plastered across his face. He was especially amused at Dakoda, whose tail he batted with a declawed paw. His collar jingled playfully at the movement. The tom rolled onto his back, pawing the air. "You guys wanna play tag or something until Bambi gets out here. I'm so bored."

A chubby, rich chocolate-colored kit banged out of the catflap in Tala's nest. He looked around, looking a little confused, until he spotted Dakota and Koda talking to Bacon, their neighbor. He tottered over to them on stumby legs. Hello, Bacon! When Tama realized that he had yelled loudly, he shrank down, embarassed. Oops. Then, he turned to his two siblings. Hi Dakota, hi Koda, He meowed more quietly. [/blockquote]

Dakota sprang up, her sapphire eyes wide once more. She jumped up and down on her paws, a smile on her face, filled with tireless energy. The cream coloured kitten nodded frantically. "Yes! Yesyesyes! Tag!" Dakota spotted Tama plodding towards them and sprang up high, squealing. She jumped on him breifly, pulling his ear gently in her mouth. Dakota then jumped back, waving her fluffy tail. "Hi Tama!" she bellowed, tail stuck out straight behind. "We're about to play tag! Wanna play? Huh? Huh?"
// Why thankyou. :]

Tama screamed loudly when Dakota landed on his back. He sunk under her weight, but then was relieved when she jumped off. He frowned a little. Tama was not mean, but he prefered to think than to play. Sometimes he was lured into playing a game of tag or chase, but he always lost. He turned to Dakota, sounding whiny now. But Dakota! You always make me play tag! [/blockquote]

Bacon meowed a greeting to the three siblings. Sayilu must be sleeping with Tala still, he thought. The red tom rolled onto his back and grinned, wagging his tail. "How about hide and go seek? I'll count my front toes and when I'm done, you better be hiding. Then I come and find you. The one I tag is the next seeker and the catdoor is base, okay?" He smiled and bounced around like the kits he was surrounded by. He turned to Tama. "Awww, c'mon Tama, play! Please!!"

Dakota nodded as Bacon conducted the rules of the game, smiling impishly, her little mouth twisted upwards into a bright smile. The cream coloured kitten turned to Tama as he moaned. "Oh, please?" she mewed, her eyes wide. "Please play, Tama?" Dakota stared at him imploringly for a moment, a tactic that, more often than not, worked. The young kittypet then rolled playfully onto her back, her tail a silky brush. "I'll go easy on you, Tama," she promised, blinking up at her chocolate-coloured brother pleadingly.

Tama switched his gray gaze from Bacon to Dakota to Koda. His mouth crinkled up to show that he was thinking. He'd rather go off to another corner of the yard to gaze at the buds of the flowers that the twolegs had planted. But one thing that Tama disliked more that roping around was dissapointing his family and friends. Besides, Bacon's playful attitude was strangely enticing. Tama decided to join in. He sighed heavily, to show that he gave in. Fine, I'll play. [/blockquote]

"Yes!" Bacon hollered, grinning. He turned to all the kits. "Alright! I'm about to count!" The ginger shook his body and stared down at his toes, taking a deep breath.
"One..."
"Two..."
"Three..."

Dakota jumped up in triumpth as Tam gave in. She gave him a swift lick on the muzzle, grinning, before flattening herself to the grass in preperation for her take-off. As Bacon began counting, the little kittypet shot off into the undergrowth. She had an idea. The cream coloured kitten leapt at the tall oak tree at one end of the garden, where a large bird-box was hanging. After a couple of straining attempts, Dakota managed to pull herself into the branches. She squeezed her chubby body into the bird-box, giggling under her breath. They'd never find her here! She was bound to win. Dakota made sure to tuck in her feathery tail, so that it did not dangle down and give her hiding place away.

Tama crounch down for a moment, as Bacon started counting off. He didn't know where to hide. He spotted Dakota shotting off toward the direction of the oak tree. He slunk off into the grass to find a place to hide. He went in the opposite direction of Dakota, so if she was found, he wouldn't also be found. A patch of tall budding dafodils grew in the opposite corner of the oak tree. The patch was thick with the flower stems and tall grass, so Tama decided to hide there. He squeezed in between two stems and crounched in the middle of the patch. He wouldn't be found here! [/blockquote]

"Nine..."
"Ten..."
"Ready or not! Here, I come!" Bacon meowed, looking around for his quarry. He smelled Dakota almost immediately and decided to follow her. He bounded after her scent, trying to track her down. However, being a kittypet, he wasn't exactly the best at hunting something down and he frequently became distracted by other things in his line of fire. However, the red tom tried his best to keep on track as he sniffed around a nearby oak tree. He frowned and looked up, but not seeing Dakota since she was hiding, he decided to look in another place. He circled the oak tree and twitched his tail, moving on to try and find Tama.

The last of the kits to arrive was little Sayilu. Instead of playing with her siblings and the lovable Bacon, she slipped under a hole in the fence and set off into the the thinner of the woods. There, the she-kit found her hollow tree and wriggled inside. With a relieved sigh, she glanced over her materials: mud, many different colors of berries, some dried leaves and pine needles, colorful Twoleg things, and more. With a sudden idea, she took a pigeon feather and a long, bright yellow ribbon. She attached the with some mud and carried it out of the tree, laying it to dry on a large, sun-bathed rock behind the hideout. She proceeded to make seven more, all with different kinds of feathers.

koda jumped around, looking for a place to hide. but before he could he saw sayilu wriggle through the hole in the fence. where's sayilu goin? he asked himself. curiosity got the better of him.
before bacon could finish counting he slipped through the hole after sayilu and followed her to the forest. he watched her climb into a tree, then come back out carrying, what was that? mud and a... feather? he pranced over to his sister and stuck his head inside the hole after she had brought out the seventh one. what'cha doin', lu-lu? he mewed innocently.

Sayilu halted abruptly at the sight of Koda. Her olivine eyes were clouded with many emotions, anger and worry being the ones to last show through. "No!" she squealed angrily yet hushed. "You gotta go back! This is my place! Don't tell the others, not even Mama or Papa!" She then head-butted him to shove him away, tears of sorrow and fury streaming down her face.

Tama crounched down lower, as he detected footsteps not too far away from his flower patch. But who was it? Was it Bacon or Dakota? In case it was Bacon, he crounched low and switched his weight to the center of his person. He was so low, that his paws slowly sunk into the soft soil. He let out a small giggle, then clasped his paw over his mouth. Oh no! [/blockquote]

well, Ill see you later, lu-lu, he mewed and stood. I gotta go finish my game of hide-n'-seek! he bounced off in the opposite direction and back toward the yard. he struggled under the fence and hid in a nearby bush, snickering quietly.

Tama screamed loudly when he was pushed down, head first, into the soil. His clumsy paws scrabbled for a pawhold. Ba-con! Let me go! He squirmed away, his paws caked with the dark drown dirt. Rawr! Now I'm it! His mouth crinkled slightly as he waggled his whole bottom. [/blockquote]

Dakota heard Tama squealing as Bacon caught him. The young she-cat smiled smugly, her pretty face lighting up. The tom hadn't found her yet. She wriggled around a little, feeling compressed inside the tight little birdbox. She was a little irritated when she found she couldn't move. Her paws were trapped beneath her. Dakota tried against to squirm free, but still she stuck fast. Panic swept over her, making her whimper under her breath. Was she going to be stuck here forever? Trapped inside the horrible wooden box? The terrifying thought made her writhe and struggle all the more, so that the birdbox swung on its branch. After a while it came loose, flying across the garden. Dakota opened her mouth, letting out a loud, frightened yowl. The birdbox landed, the roof splitting from the rest of the structure. Dakota jumped clear of the wooden remains, her fur fluffed out. She looked at Bacon and Tama, suddenly embarrased and incensed.
"What?"

Bacon jumped, red fur standing on end in surprise. He meowed balefully and turned around, blinking. He let out a heavy sigh when he saw Dakota covered in wood and bird residue. "Oh skies...," he said and then burst into laughter. The ginger tom fell over, literally rolling on the ground in laughter. "Oh my goodness, Dakota, don't tell me you were in the birdhouse the entire time." He could barely get his words out from laughing so much.

Dakota spat angrily, shaking feathers from her ears. The she-cat glared furiously at Bacon, embarrasment fueling her anger. The cream-coloured she-cat gave herself a thorough shake, aiming the bird residue at the giggling Bacon. "Eat bird poo!" she mewed, eyes glittering with malice. Dakota then gave herself a last shake and peered around, blue eyes narrowed as she searched every bush and clump of grass for Koda. "Hm... Where's Koda?" The kittypet pounced on several likely-looking patches of hidden garden, but found no Koda. After a while she gave up, flopping down with a sigh. "This is boring, now," she moaned. She mainly said this because she was sore for not winning, but yawned just to emphasive her point.

Dakota gave a great squeal of shock as a weight landed on her back. She twisted and writhed with surprising agility for a kittypet. The cream-coloured she-cat turned, paws pushing against the other cat's chest. She glimped creamy fur and pouted as she recognized Koda. She couldn't believe she'd let him jump her. Dakota eventually managed to push him off with a great heave of her shoulders and chest. The she-cat pinned her brother to the velvety grass with chubby brown paws. Her lips curled into a smug grin. "Haha, I win!" After a moment she skipped to the side, kicking out her paws in her triumpth. The young she-cat turned to Koda, shutting her eyes and sticking out her startlingly pink tongue at him. "Nya na na na na!"
