Corbynkit padded along the grass, his fluffy black paws becoming wet his the spray that soaked the grass. His eyes till gleamed with anger, and a tear trickled down his cheek as he muttered to himself. "It's not fair. Stupid Brokenkit, stupud Razortomb, stupid Mamma, stupid Slenekit, stupid, stupid Pappa!" The tom leapt up onto the Cascade Rocks, slipping slightly on the wet, slipperly surface. He clawed at the stone, finding his footing. He forgot his anger breifly as he looked around in awe. Being only two or so moons, Corbynkit had never been out of camp before.
To the east he saw a raging river. He heard a deep, watery roar, and leapt from the rocks to check what the sound was. His fur bristled excitedly as he imagined the sort of frightening predator that might be waiting to the east. He was breifly disappointed at the sight of the great silver waterfall, but this feeling was swept away by a momentous feeling of awe. Corbynkit approached the bank, and dabbed a paw in the water. He spotted a silver fish in the water, and leaned forwards to grab it.
He leaned too far.
It was a good thing that the kitten had chanced upon a shallower part of the river to fall into. The tom squealed in terror as the cold water rushed up to him, and choked as he went under the icy liquid rushed into his mouth and up his nose. He struggled feebly, and broke the surface, taking a deep breath. He then began to struggle furiously ith his legs, but the movement made him tired, and eventually he gave up. This is it, he thought. The current tuggd at his fur, finally spitting him out on a part of ground where the earth dipped down to touch the water.
Corbynkit lay there gasping, his sodden fur sticking to him uncomfortably. Eventually he sat up, shaking himself a couple of times. This did not help much. THe kitten sat down and shook himself again. He felt exhauted, his legs felt like lead and his brain felt like a rock in his woolen skull. The tom shook his head and the world span. The tom stood up. He would not return to EclipseClan. His pride rushed up to hit him in the muzzle. He wanted to find his father. The kit set off into the woods, his dmp fur plastered to his skinny body.
He froze when a low snarling filled th air. He spotted a narrow ginger muzzle, and crouched low to the grass. Terror coursed through his veins as the vixen drew nearer, licking its chops. Corbynkit let out a piercing wail of fright.
