Looks: Brokenheart is a scrawny mottled brown cat. One eye is green and the other is brown. Her ears are quite small and she is a little hard of hearing in her old age. Her paws are small and the pads are dry and painful to walk on at times. Her pelt is short and scruffy and clumps of it falls out sometimes so she always looks like she has just been in a battle. Many of her claws are broken but those that are left can give quite a sharp scratch. Her teeth are a yellowish colour and are uneven with some missing. She has two sharp fangs though, which help her to eat. Her tail was long and slender but the end got cut off in a scrap with an enemy warrior. She has many scars, the biggest ones being down the left side of her face, down her left back leg and along the right side of her back.
Actions: Brokenheart is quite snappy and grumpy. She is very difficult to talk too and having a conversation with her is not an easy task. She is well mannered (normally) to her leader, deputy and medicine cat but she cant stand young annoying kits and the apprentices who look after the elders den get the most of her grumpiness taken out on her. She isnt scared to stand her ground against a much more powerful warrior and fights with no mercy. Being the only elder in MoonClan (at the moment) suits her just fine and she has made herself very comfortable with a whole den to herself. She comes out of the den when ever it takes her fancy, normally though just to criticise what everyone else is doing. She only acts like she does though because of her tragic past...
Past: Kithood:
As a kit Brokenheart was born Leafkit due to one of her eyes being the colour of leaves in the summer and the other of leaves in the autumn. She was born an only child and her mother Rainpool died while giving birth. She was suckled by a snooty she-cat named Ambereyes who did not care for the little kit at all. Leafkits father, Moonshine died in battle the day before she was apprenticed.
Apprenticeship:
As an apprentice Leafkit was given the name Leafpaw and was assingned a fierce warrior called Bearclaw as her mentor. Bearclaw scared her into doing everything and pressured her to be the best apprentice MoonClan had ever seen. She did her tasks out of fear and soon had a deep hate of Bearclaw. What ever she did wasnt good enough and she was relieved when she finally got assesed and made a warrior.
Warriorhood:
Leafpaw was given the name Leafheart as her warrior name. She worked hard and soon got her own apprentice, Oakpaw. She trained him well, with none of the harshness that Bearclaw had used with her. She trained him with his sister, Willowpaw who a young tom called Whitefoot mentored. Whitefoot and Laefheart got closer and they trained there apprentices together nearly all the. On the morning of the apprentices assesment Whitefoot and herself took all of them out. They were following Willowpaw when they heard a bloodcurdling scream. They raced to the scene where they found Willowpaw screaming by the river. Leafheart saw Oakpaws body being swept away and she plunged in after him. She got him out but it was too late. That night she mourned him with Whitefoot and Willowpaw. Willowpaw recieved her warrior name of Willowtree. Oakpaws death brought Leafheart and Whitefoot even closer and before she knew it they were in love. One evening she found Whitefoot and told him that she was expecting his kits. He yowled joyfully and said he must go and tell his brother, Blacknose. She was lying in the warriors den later on when she heard gasps of shock fill the camp. She raced outside and stopped dead. Whitefoots lifeless body lay in the middle of the camp. He had been killed by a rogue cat just as he had got to his brother. Leafheart spent days in silence and mourned him for the whole night and the day. She painfully gave birth to his three kits. Two were still born and the last, Ashkit, died within ten minutes. She spent hours lying there, licking their lifeless bodies before finally letting them be taken away. She could barely stand to be alive by this point. She was now quite an old cat and moved to the elders den. She got her leader to change her name to Brokenheart, due to all the pain she had been through.
