Rogueclaw walked along the border that separated Moonclan and Eclipseclan territory. She wasnt on any patrol, she was trying to get away from everything for a short time. A small clearing up ahead was the perfect place to think. She hoped after there fight Rippedear wouldnt go looking for her. Rogueclaw walked into the small clearing and sat down.

Icepaw had snuck out of MoonClan camp and was wandering around the border, that also bordered EclipseClan. She saw Rougeclaw sitting there and just remebered what her mother had said. "A EclipseClan warrior had suffered a great lost, anyway thinks she did. She thinks Windclaw died but he is still alive." Icepaw said it out loud. Icepaw ran up to the border. "Hey I have a question. Are you the EclipseClan warrior who think you lost Windclaw?"

Rogueclaw turned her head quickly and stood up "Who are you and how do you know about Windclaw!" Rogueclaw growled at the Moonclan apprentice.

Rogueclaw looked at the apprentice in disbelief "You lie! Every clan saw him die! My sister did also, and she wouldnt lie to me!" Rogueclaw snarled at Icepaw.

Rippedear was looking for her sister worried someone might tell her the truth about Windclaw. She gave up in the camp so she wander around yelling her sisters name.
Finally she found Rougeclaw getting mad at Icepaw. "Icepaw what did you tell Rouge???" Rippedear asked worriedly . |

Icepaw was scared because Roougeclaw looked like she was about to attack her. "I t-t-told Rouge t-t-that Wind-claw is s-still a-live." Icepaw said stuttering. She looked at Rougeclaw then at her old friend Rippedear. "Please don't let Rougeclaw tear me to shreds!" Icepaw said to herself.

Shocked to see Rippedear standing there. Paying attention to Icepaw again. "Your a lier!" Rogueclaw snarled again and lunged herself at Icepaw.

Icepaw was sad that she had made Ripppedear hurt her own sister to save Icepaw. "Why would you save me Rippedear? Why can't you let me fight for my self?!!!" Icepaw spat at Rippedear. "Why dose everyone treat me like a helpless kit!"

Rippedear looked at the ground. "I'm sorry but I can't lose anymore friends! If my sister gets ahold of you she will kill you!" Rippedear looked up at her sister in discust. "Rougeclaw, Windclaw is still alive I never told you because you would freak, and now it's like you are turning into your son!" Rippedear looked back at Icepaw and camly said. "I am so sorry i have been treating you like a kit I got to understand you are stronger then you were. When you were a loner you never liked to go on adventers alone. I will never forget you as a kit, but now I will start treating you more like an apprentice." Rippedear turned to leave and walked slowly. |

Icepaw bowed her head as Rippedear left, then she turned to Rougeclaw. "Rippedear is right you are turning into Mudbelly!" Then Icepaw turned and ran back to MoonClan territory.

Rogueclaw squeaked in pain as Rippedear knocked her out of the air. She was even more horrifed when Rippedear said that she was like her son. Rogueclaw got up and ran blindlessly through the forest. Her tears crashed down to the earth like rain drops. She hoped her sister felt her pain, she hoped it hurt Rippedear as much as it hurt herself.

Ripped ear felt a shot of pain. she knew it wasn't hers but her sisters, yes Rippedear said some cruel things to her sister. But Rippedear meant everything she said. "She tried to hurt Icepaw for telling her that Windclaw was alive!" Rippedear said trying to convince herself that Rougeclaw was turning into Mudbelly.
After a while of tyring to convice herself Rippedear went to find her sister, to appoligize for telliing her she was turning into her blood thirsty son. But she couldn't find her sister any where. "I will tell her in the morning when she is in the camp." Rippedear told herself. |

Rogueclaw saw that it was getting darker. Amytheststar wont mind if I stay out over night she thought. Rogueclaw found a sheltered spot and layed down. "Is it really true that your alive Windclaw?" She whispered to herself. Rogueclaw had trouble sleeping that night, she thought about what Rippedear and Icepaw had called her and if she really was acting like her blood thirsty son. Rogueclaw had a dream, Windpool was there. "Is it true that Windclaw is still alive, Windpool?" Rogueclaw asked her daughter. "You will have to find that out yourself". That was all she said and disappeared, Rogueclaw thought for some time and came up with an answer. If Windclaw were dead then he would have visted me already. Rogueclaw woke up to find it still dark.
"I know now of what I must do". She said to herself.

Evening streaked the sky, twilight dawning upon the forest. Spectrumflash trotted, quite alone, through the trees. His light blue eyes were calm as he made his way around a fat trunk, his grey and white coat bristling slightly. It was getting colder, as night drew closer. He could feel it biting at his skin. The young warrior shivered and shook himself, turning only to lick his shoulder a couple of times. He had offered to do the evening patrol, but the evenings were so short these days. Autumn was here at last. He had wanted to find Pantherstealth to come with him, but his wayward uncle had disappeared. Spectrumflash had been severely disgruntled by this, but he could not break his promise to Amethyststar. His aunt was already on the edge.
Spectrumflash hurried on, lifting his muzzle to draw in the scents. He jumped as he recognized one; Rogueclaw. He wondered why the she-warrior was out so late; it was not forbidden, but it was unuaul. Spectrumflash was sure the she-cat would've much rathered to be in her warm nest. The young tom rounded a corner and caught sight of the warrior's fluffy plume of tail. Spectrumflash stepped over it and looked down at her. She looked a little distressed. "Hi, Rogueclaw," he mewed, choosing to be polite. He had heard of the warrior's reputation. "What's up?" |

Rogueclaw looked up to see Spectrumflash "Hello, Im fine thank you. How are you Spectrumflash?" Rogueclaw got up, she was going to have to tell him why she was out late. "May I join you?" Rogueclaw asked this hoping on the way ,to what ever there destination was, she would find Windclaw.

Spectrumflash smiled slightly and inclined his head to the left. "That's good to know," he mewed, yellow eyes gleaming. The grey and white registered a little surprise as Rogueclaw asked to join him. "Oh, yes, if you like." Spectrumflash padded back a few paces, so as to give Rogueclaw room to walk beside, behind or in front of him if she wished. "I'm just patrolling the borders," he mewedm voice casual, though he could surpress a wave of pride. A few moons ago he wouldn't have been able to do this; but he was a warrior now. "Anywhere in particular you want to go?" |

Rogueclaw happily stepped in beside him, she smiled. This was the first time she smiled for a long time. "Can we patrol along the border of the between lands?". Rogueclaw was happy for once, she was hesitating on telling Spectrumflash of why she wants to go there.

Spectrumflash was slightly surprised at her suggestion, but could not help but feel inclined to agree. He was curious to know who had come and gone by the Moonshard recently; maybe it would lead them to finding the missing Mottledkit. Mottledkit had been missing for nearly a moon now, and it was disturbing. Most thought that the solitary kitten had been caught by a badger or fox while out exploring alone, but not Spectrumflash. He was sure there was something more sinister behind the kit's disappearance. "If you like." |

Rogueclaw smiled again, she was happy Spectrumflash agreed. Rogueclaw started to pad the way torwds the Moonshard. She walked slowly while in thought, I dearly hope Windclaw is where I think he is.

Spectrumflash watched Rogueclaw pad off ahead, and trotted after her, tail raised and ears pricked. He didn't mind losing leader status of the patrol; if Pantherstealth had been there, like he was supposed to have been, he would have been the leader. No, Spectrumflash was secretly glad of the company. He hadn't really fancied traipsing around the forest alone all night, not with hostile MoonClanners about. In actual fact, the young tom was quite excited to be going to the between lands. He had not been near the Moonshard since his apprenticeship, but even then he had not gone into the cavern. |

"Can we go a little faster I dont want Rippedear to come looking for me?" Rogueclaw meowed trying to sound annoyed.

Spectrumflash thought he caught a flash of impatience in Rogueclaw's eyes, and tilted his head slightly to one side, but said nothing. The grey and white warrior sensed the she-cat's growing uneasiness, and nodded at her question. "Fine by me," he mewed, blue eyes calm. "I don't want to be out in the cold any longer than necessary." The young warrior shook himself, fluffing out his short, thick fur, before padding on, ears straining forward to catch approaching danger before it pounced. |

ooc:// ok after this post we can move to the between lands. the mini plot thing we could have Spectrum and Rogue find Wind and have Mudbelly drop from the clouds (if can) and find them and comes close to killing one of them. is that a mini plot?

Increasing his again, the tom trotted along briskly at Rogueclaw's side. It was interesting, he thought, lips pursing slightly. There was an unanswered question fluttering irritstingly in the depths of his mind. The young warrior ducked his head to draw his tongue over the smooth, pale hued fur on his chest. This had always comforted him, as the feeling of his heart pumping reminded him of the days he had leant against his mother's warm, soft side. This immediatly brought back memories of Jinxdancer, the mother who had died protecting her young. Spectrumflash knew that he and sisters would never forget their brave mother. Though the tom was immensely proud of what Jinxdancer had done, he still missed her so very much that he could not put it into words. Spectrumflash fell breifly into a brooding silence, jaw set, barely listening to what Rogueclaw was saying.
Spectrumflash blinked as though surfacing from very deep water. The tom's ears twitched, as though he thought by listening to her last few words he could save being seen rude. Spectrumflash paused for a few moment, turning over Rogueclaw's last five words in his mind. Then his brain clicked. "Yes, yes of course," Spectrumflash mewed, voice only a little distracted. He knew very well how lame his answer must have sounded, especially when he took into consideration the length of silence beforehand. "Sorry," he aplogized. scratching his chin absently with a foreclaw. "I was thinking about my mother; Jinxdancer. D'you remember her?" Spectrumflash had a habit of asking this. He liked to be close to those who had known his mother. |

Rogueclaw let out a giggle at his first answer but was very serious about the second one. "Yes I rememder Jinxdancer, she was very nice to us all. You should be very proud of her Spectrumflash. 'Cause I know she was extremly proud of you". Rogueclaw felt good of her words, she walked on feeling as happy to be with someone who knows of how she feels.
