Stormfeather took to patrolling the borders this lovely morning. As she pased the Eclipseclan border, she scented a strange smell. It stirred something in her apprenticeship. Hollypaw was playing alone. a fox came and attacked. Stormpaw came to the rescue and saved her. It's Fox! "Argh!" she screamed. She leaped at it, but stopped. It was the fox that had attacked Hollypaw! The fox took advantage of her pause and pinned her down.

Spectrumpaw had been hunting. Hunting had ben good. A shrew and a mouse weighed him down and made his neck ache. He smiled to himself, almost dropping his catch in the process. The grey and white apprentice suddenly picked up a desperate yowl, and he angled his ears towards where he had heard the scream. His nostrils were suddebly filled his the sour tang of fox stentch. He dropped the prey immediatly and raced over to the smell. He hesitated when he spotted the fox leaning over a helpless she-cat. He did not recognize the cat, and could not tell who she was or whether she was from his clan or not. She looked a bit like his mother. The thought leapt him into action, and he pounced on the fox's head.
He bit and scratched it, digging in his claws to avoid being thrown off. He finally found his mark with a claw and plunged it into one of the fpx's eyes. It yelped nd threw him off before streaking away. Spectrumpaw struck a misshapen ash and winced as pain lanced up his spine. He got to his paws and shook the pain away, before approaching the she-cat. "Are you okay?" he asked. BrightClan engulfed him, and he backed away, hissing. "Your from BrightClan!" he accused. |

"Th-Thank you," she whispered. "Oh Hollyflower, if you were only here now," she ducked her head.

"Hello?" Spectrumpaw wagged a cinder coloured paw in front of the she-cat's nose. "Your from BrightClan! Your welcome and everything, but why are you here?" The apprentice made a sturdy shape in the snow, claws warily unsheathed and blue eyes nervously wry. |

Stormfeather stood up and meowed, "I was patrolling the borders and the fox caught my attention. It was the one that made Hollyflower and me friends," she added the last part in a whisper.

"Well, that's nice and everything, but I don't even know who this 'Hollyflower' is, and EclipseClan could've taken care of the fox," the apprentice replied haughtily. He began to lick his claws clean, looking indifferent. What's your name, antway?" He asked, as if it were just a question to fill in the silence. |

Spectrumpaw took the time to finish cleaning the blood from his long silver claws and sheathing them again carefully before replying. "Spectrumpaw. Son of Jinxdancer and Ebonysky. Brother of Frogpaw, Glcierpaw and Scarletpaw," he said formally, getting up and stretching his spine and limbs. |

Spectrumpaw shrugged. "Nuthin' to do back at camp. Scarletpaw's gone out training. Sunpaw and Beacanpaw too. Glacierpaw's sleeping. I dunno where Frogpaw is. All I can do is hunt." |

Spectrumpaw looked up at the dark night sky. veryone would be sleeping! "My sisters!" he gasped. "Frogpaw! Mamma! Pappa!" He nodded at Stormfeather before racing back towards the EclipseClan camp. He forgot to seize his prey on the way. |
