Melly circled around the willow, staring greedily up at the squirrel. It sat there, nibbling on an acorn, totally unaware of the kittypet beneath it. She licked her whiskers and sat down. "Come on, little squirrely-squirrel. Come on."
((I know it's short, but I just needed to post an RP with Melly, my Kittypet.))

"HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!"
A cheery voice exploded out of nowhere, sending the squirrel and everything within a five-mile radius running out like a bat outta hell. It came from the lithe cheery tom atop the fence, named Bacon. He grinned broadly and waved like a little kit at Melly. "Hiya, Melly!" Bacon smiled in a way that was too difficult to stay mad at him for long. He was too cute to stay angry at. The ginger tom waved his tail, beaming. He was completely nonplussed.[/sub]

Melly jumped, startled, as a voice boomed out of nowhere. She watched longingly as the squirrel ran away hastily, it's little heart probably thumping insanely. "Oh come on, Bacon!" she whined, padding over to the fence and jumping up to sit next to him. "I almost had that squirrel!" The she-cat licked her paw and brought it up and over her ear. The kittypet looked around, enjoying probably the last warm day until Winter was to fully settle in. Melly sighed, then glared at Bacon, "You are sooo lucky you're my friend."

Bacon smiled cheerily. "Sorry, Melly, I'm your best friend!" he grinned, waving his tail like a metronome. He came to his small paws, balancing elegantly on the fence. "Have you seen Coffee and Cream, or any other cats today? I'm bored." He turned his stormy-gray eyes to Melly, pouting cutely.

Melly shook her head, "No, I sleept in today." She looked around her nest and stared at the willow. "You wanna go rest in the willow? This fence is killing me." The she-cat jumped down from the fence and trotted over to the willow. She climbed up it and settled in to a crook. "Come on, Bacon!" she called from her comfy spot.

"Sure thing!" Bacon said, leaping down in a lunge of gold and crimson fire. The tom landed and proceeded to run some circles around in an act of chasing his lengthy tail before sprinting through the trimmed grass to the willow. The eager tomcat leapt onto the knotty tree and snuggled in between the uplifted roots. Too hyper to sit down, the ginger male explored vivaciously, lunging up happily. When he finally calmed down a bit, he turned to Melly, gray eyes twinkling eagerly. "Can we go play tag when you're done taking a nap?"

Melly giggled, "Sure, Bacon." She looked at the fronds of leafs that grew from the whippy branches of the Weeping Willow. "I wonder why Willows always looks so sad," she turned her head to look at Bacon, "But they're always beautiful!" Something buzzed by her ear and she swatted at it. A fly flew in front of Melly's face and she snapped, trying to catch it in her jaws. It flew away faster, "Wait come back!" She stood up and chased it through the gnarled branches. She caught hold of knots in the wood and peeling bark.

"I think it's because they hold the world together, but since the world is so sad, it takes the burden on itself. The world is beautiful too," Bacon said randomly, smiling thoughtfully. "Well, at least that's what I think." He turned to see Melly jump after a fly. "Melly! Wait!" he cried, leaping after her. However, he tripped and crashed over the gnarled roots, landing on his feet nimbly even so. He took a breath and followed her. "Melly, watcha doing?!"

"Chasing the fly!" Melly had turned her head to talk, and when she looked back around, the fly was gone. "Ahh man! There goes another piece of prey! I suck at this catching-and-killing thing!" She scraped a paw in the dirt solemnly, then trotted back over to the Willow. "How do the wild cats do it? I can catch mice, but I can't catch flies! I'm pathetic." Melly looked down at her paws, her whiskers drooping.

"But it's so small," Bacon said, tilting his head in confusion. "Even my owner has problems catching those. He has to get this stick thing and chase flies around with it, slapping at it. He looks funny too, all mad when he misses." He pressed against Melly, waving his tail side to side. "And I can't catch anything, so don't feel bad." He chuckled, suddenly rolling onto his back in the soft grass.

[[Omigosh, Bambi + Bacon = Uber cute kits!]] Pitter patter. Pawsteps made their way over to the Willow, and Bambi crept up behind the two cats already sitting there. She padded silently up behind Bacon, and tapped him quickly with her ginger tail, before sitting down, turning her head the other way and putting her nose in the air, as if she had done nothing. Melly smiled, "OK, I guess so." She swiveled her head around when she heard pawsteps. The kittypet caught sight of Bambi, "Hullo, there, Bambi!" she cried happily. She bounced in front of her two friends. "Sooo... who wants to play tag?" she asked, bouncing around them.

"I do! I do! I do!" Bacon exploded, hopping up from his rolling place on the grass. He shook himself off and grinned from lady to lady. "Hiya, Bambi!" he smiled, touching noses. The tom turned from her to Melly. "I'll be IT!" The ginger tom wagged his tail and reared up playfully, batting at Bambi's ear.

Bambi smiled as Bacon touched noses with her. She lunged to the side as he reached to tag her, but he still got her, and she pelted over to Melly, grabbing her tail. 'Tag!!!' she squealed, feeling like a kit again. She ran behind a large root, then waited for Melly to make a move.

Milly squealed in delight, and jumped away from Bacon. Then when he tagged Bambi, she ran away from Bambi, but got tagged anyways, of course. Milly giggled, then looked around, eyeing Bacon. "Mwahahaha!" she faux laughed and chased after him. Then she turned and twisted a bit before aiming for the root that Bambi was hiding behind.

Bacon lunged out of Melly's way, darting behind a birdbath. The tom peeked out, glancing at the she-cat. He let out a sigh of relief when she decided to go after Bambi instead. The ginger tom still kept up his guard and padded to the bushes, absently forgetting that his fiery pelt was stark contrast to the wisteria.

Melly halted as something ginger caught the corner of her eyes in the bush. She darted towards it, crying excitedly, "SQUIRREL!!!" totally mistaking Bacon for it. Her yes full of malice and excitement, she pounced the 'squirrel'. And, within the moment of realizing it wasn't a squirrel, rolled over and over down the hill that her backyard was conveniently lacted on. Woah!" she yowled in surprise.

"ACK!" Bacon squalled as Melly tackled him. He grunted as the two rolled down the hill. He tobaggoned onto his feet and shook himself, grass flying everywhere. "What was that for?!" he whined, batting at Melly with an expression of faux-injury to his pride. He scratched at his ears, getting grass and snow out of them, and then shivered. "I'm freezing!" he exclaimed, starting to pad up the hill again.

Melly landed on her rump, her eyes wide with surprise and adrenaline. "Let's go again! Let's go again!" she chanted, standing up and shaking the snow and dirt out of her fur. The excited kitty smiled at her friend, "Sorry, I thought you were a squirrel!"
She trudged up the kill behind him, shivering, "Me too."

Bacon shook some snow off of his pelt and came up to his owner's door, meowing at the glass. He turned over to Melly. "I'll see you tomorrow then, Melly. Chase is going to feed me and then I'm in for the night!" The ginger tom smiled. "Say bye to Bambi for me!" He meowed and waved his flaming-red tail. His two-leg came up to the door and opened it for him, welcoming him with a gentle pet on the head and cradle into the arms.

Melly waved good-bye. See ya later, Bacon! she called as she entered her backyard.
Melvin yawned, and turned to Bambi. She smiled, Bacon says 'Night, and me too. I'm hungry! she exclaimed, waving her tail and smiling. She trotted up to her nest and scratched at the door with unsheathed claws. She meowed once and got down when she saw her twoleg come. The one that had mistaken her for a tom and named her Melvin when she had first gotten her. Her twoleg lived alone with two kits: Cassidy and Alec.
Melly looked up at her owner, Sally, and meowed again. Sally smiled and opened the door.
The she-cat turned to look back at Bambi, See you! she called before running into the warm nest.
