Darkmagic[/size][/font] Darkmagic turned her head to look at her mate as the black and white tom spoke, pricking her ears towards the nursery. "Oh the boys must still be inside. I thought they had followed us out" she replied, peering in to see if she could catch sight of Viridiankit and Sinisterkit. Sighing, she sat back and pulled Smokekit between her legs, licking her daughter gently on the head as she watched the ceremony. Roseglade[/size][/font] Roseglade watched the events unfold in front of her nervously. At her brothers first coughing fit she hardly reacted, thinking he had just swallowed the wrong way or something. Watching Valleykit run into Secretcalling she tensed, then seeing Wovenknot streak over to gather her daughter back to them she got to her paws, before they were yet again interruped by another one of Cardinalspires coughing fits. Roseglade eyed Wovenknot seriously. "Go with him to the den, he needs you. I'll watch the kits" she said, flicking her tail in the direction of her brother. She turned to the kits, giving them a cheeky grin. "So my little ones, how are you all?" she asked them, eyes brightened again. Honeykit[/size][/font] Honeykit selectively didnt hear Sablekit speaking to her, instead focusing her attention on Wovenknot speaking to Valleykit. "Whats wrong? What happened? Why are you upset mommy?" she asked first off, before her mother left with Cardinalspire, whom had collapsed to the ground with the extent of his coughing. "Daddy! Oh, Auntie Roseglade will he be ok? Valleykit, what happened a minute ago? Oh, this is so confusing!" she wailed, covering her ears with her paws. [/sub]

A brittle mirror of his father seemed to teleport behind the two. He looked up, affixing his mother with a baleful stare before turning to stare at Wovenknot and the drama unfolding over there.
"What utter nonsense," he grunted, rolling his eyes. The green-eyed tom shook his head and began licking his paw sophisticatedly. When such a task was complete, he sighed.
"I'm going back to the nursery soon. You know how I hate crowds..." |

Firestar, unfortunately, heard the exchange between Wovenknot and Secretcalling. She crossed the clearing in three bounds and brought herself up to Wovenknot's side. "What's going on?" She asked Wovenknot. "Is he bothering you?" She turned to her friend and looked at her, concerned. She heard Valleykit's innocent squeak, and looked down at her with a gentle look. "Your mother doesn't want you to talk to grandpa, because she says so. How about you go see if any of the queens need fresh-kill?" She told the kit. Then she turned back to Wovenknot. "Are you okay?" She asked.[/color]
Limestone[/font][/size][/i]
Limestone turned to Wovenknot. "Wovenknot, please. Don't do this. She begged her daughter. Her voice quieted and she continued. "He's different now. Please, just give him a chance." Of course, Limestone would never admit that Secretcalling had abused Wovenknot. When Secretcalling left, she stared after him in despair and turned back to Wovenknot. "You self-centered little mousedung! All you care about is protecting your kits from him! Why don't you start realizing that you're hurting him more than he ever hurt you!" She screeched, before chasing after Secretcalling.[/color]

Valleykit pouted, moving away from the protective lick her mother gave her, but the she-kit's indignation faltered when Firestar suggested for her to go help the queens. Reluctantly, realizing that Secretcalling had left camp, she dragged a bluebird from the fresh-kill pile and hauled it over to the nusery. Before she called for the mothers and mothers-to-be, she watched the camp entrance for a long time. Why did Wovenknot not like Secretcalling, her own father? It didn't make sense. And Limestone... that was her grandmother, right? So why couldn't she see them? A twinge of anger seared in her veins as she thought of how her mother hadn't bothered to tell them, but like her urge to rebel against Wovenknot's word, that quelled too. Wovenknot just wanted what was best for them... didin't she?
She overheard a bit of Viridiankit's bored meow, coming to her ears like a bramble snagging on her pelt. "It's not utter nonsense," she insisted, turning to face the disdainful tom. She had to admit, he was handsome in his own sort of way, and she forced herself not to be caught off-gaurd by his bleak green eyes. "My mama won't let me talk to my grandfather, even though I want to." she cast one last glance at the medicine den, worried once again. So many emotions in such a short time! "And my papa's sick." |

[/center] His head rotated slowly, facing her with hollow eyes dipped in boredom. "It's drama, which is, of course, utter nonsense," he said bluntly. His tail flicked idly. What? Did she think that just because she was the future leader's daughter, he'd especially watch to be on his P's and Q's? Please... He could care less if she was a goddess, more less the daughter of the deputy. He rolled his eyes and grunted. "How troublesome." The black and white tom shook his head. |

wovenknot The threelegged tabby narrowed her eyes at her mother, baring her teeth. As the black and white she-cat finished speaking, she let her head drop. Her lip trembled. Cardinalspire was sick, Secretcalling was trying to worm his way back into her good books, and now Limestone was screeching at her. Wovenknot blinked down at her paws. Tears welled in her paws but she swallowed them. "I'm fine," she mewed curtly to Firestar, raising her head. "Sablekit, Honeykit, go back to the nursery, please." The she-cat shook herself, exhaling deeply. |
