FIRESTAR
I'll close my eyes, You'll sing me my lullaby. I'll watch the world pass by on my eyelids, As you sing that soft song. I'll hear your gentle words, As you sing my secret lullaby.
Firestar's eyes opened as the sun shone into her den. She yawned and stretched, then stood, slowly padding out of her den. As she watched the buzz of her camp, she remembered the promise she had made to two apprentices.
Leaping up onto the Raven's Ledge, she drew a deep breath. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather here for a clan meeting!" She called, watching as shadows formed into cat's, filing out of their dens to sit and listen to Firestar.

Leaves dangle, Black from the fire. Leaves were scorched.
Scorchedleaf Scorchedleaf peeked out of the Warrior's Den. He grumbled to himself. He had just gotten to sleep after organizing patrols. He padded out f the Den and made his way to the Deputy's spot. He sat there and looked around at the cats who were starting to gather. He wondered to himself who the two apprentices were. The temporary deputy wondered while he waited for the clan to gether and for Firestar to continue on. I don't want to put you down, I don't want to make you hurt. I will always follow you, And I will always protect you. Dovefeathers Dovefeathers followed Scorchedleaf out of the Warrior's Den. She sniffed at the air. It seemed a little bit chilly. Summer must be coming to a close. She thought to herself as she settled herself down into a comfortable position so she could see Firestar clearly but also be comfortable. Her jaws gaped into a yawn as weariness crept up on her. She was worried about the badgers and if her apprentice liked her. [/sup][/blockquote]

MudfurA lean shape crawled out of the warriors den as she heard the call of her leader, her tabby brown pelt ruffled from a hard sleep. Her mind was at a haze of what she had dreamed about, or didn't sleep as much because, the fae slowly stood and shook the sleepiness away from her body as she made her way to stand under Firestar's paws. As the fae waited for the others to join the ones that had been out before she was she started to tidy up her fur, what a small mess that was! DoveflightA white fae with a silver top layer of fur stepped out of the warriors den following Mudfur, her amber-red eyes were wide in surprise and shock. She had had a dream about Ghostnight coming to her and saying everything was alright, his beautiful ice-blue irises shone with StarClan but she knew it was only a dream. Her brothers were in the Tribe and they wouldn't be coming back, she knew it as a fact. Doveflight made her way to a random spot in the clearing and sat down, it just happened to be next to Dovefeathers, 'Good day, Dovefeathers, how much sleep did you get last night?' The silver-white fae brought her amber-red orbs to the other female to make a small conversation before the leader spoke words that would not transfer in her ears. WolfpawA silver, gray, and black body stepped out of the apprentice's den with a long yawn, he shook himself to get ready for Firestar's meeting as he made his way to a spot in the clearing. He just so happened to pick the very middle, his ice-blue eyes stared up at his leader with tired but excited eyes. He could never get used to these meetings. SorrowflightA gray and white body slipped out of the warriors den and made it's way towards Wolfpaw who had to sit in the middle of the clearing. His night green irises glowed like that of a morning person's, even if he wasn't one. He diverted his eyes to Firestar on the Raven's Ledge and awaited for the meeting to start.

avenspaw Avenspaw had been hunting, but he had not been successful. His thoughts had been so preoccupied by Maplepool that he had only managed to catch a measly old mouse. He dropped it unceremoniously on the fresh kill pile as he wandered into camp. Whenever he remembered his last meeting with Maplepool, his mind burned. They'd been caught. But we weren't doing anything! No matter how many times he tried to tell himself this, he knew it wasn't true. He didn't just think of Maplepool as a friend anymore. Some might say he had a crush on her. Avenspaw sighed fitfully. But because of him, the whole of EclipseClan might have found out about Wovenknot's kits. And it hadn't been his news to share! Avenspaw was pulled out of his confusing thoughts by Firestar's voice. The lithe silver tabby apprentice took a seat in the crowded clearing, trying not to look too guilty. geckokit A small, thin, slate-grey kit stepped neatly out of the nursery. It was Geckokit. The tom turned his large head to look up at Firestar as she spoke. In the back of his mind he remembered that he was six moons, and due an apprentice ceremony. He vaguely tried to clean himself up a bit, as his grey pelt was ruffled, but after a moment he gave up, distracted by some odd footprints in the dirt. What were they? Geckokit traced them to a clump of grass, where he found a caterpillar. The journey to the grass had not been easy. He had had to climb over and around several seated MoonClanners, some of whom didn't look too happy. Geckokit heard his mother's voice, calling him back to her side. He abandoned his fuzzy green friend and padded back to Ravenclaw, sitting on her feathery tail. sablekit A graceful, long-limbed kitten padded proudly from the nursery after Geckokit. He was bigger than Geckokit, and looked older, but in fact was little more than two moons old. Sablekit took a moment to peer into a droplet of dew on a tiny leaf, checking his appearance. He quickly flattened the already sleek fur between his ears, and sauntered through the crowds, head high and nose in the air. He trod on several paws, and once tripped over a trailing tail. "I say!" he mewed indignantly, as he picked himself up and dusted himself off in a dignified manner. "I demand that you cease this degrading practice! Kindly let me pass!" Sablekit trembled slightly, his pompous tones spilling like hot steam from his mouth. "I demand order! I demand respect! I am the future leader! You seem to have forgotten!" As Sablekit continued on his way, catching his paws on the tail of a cat positioned right at the front of the crowd, he rounded on them. "Excuse me! You should be more than prepared to sacrifice your position for the future leader, you impertinent beast!" He blustered, his tail twitching agitatedly.

I will never let you fall cardinalspire I'll stand up with you
forever "Young man, behave." A gentle voice became known behind Sablekit's ear. The young father smiled down at his song, curling his ginger frame around the smaller tomkit and nuzzling against you. Cardinalspire looked up, wondering where Wovenknot was. His jade-hued eyes peered out from deep sage-like sockets. "Where's your mother? Have you seen Wovenknot at all?" He looked down and licked his son's head.Falling in the black___________x x_____________Saintcalling "What's this all about?" he grunted from his nap, stretching and shaking his white and black pelt. He stood up and raised his head majestically, walking out of the warrior's den with a sort of haughty nature. His eyes flickered over to the other cats gathering and then he nodded. "Ah, a ceremony perhaps." The tom sought out Darkmagic over by the queen's area with his eyes but not seeing her, he simply sat down and began grooming his face.

FIRESTAR
Not a day goes by, That I miss you by my side, That I look for you, Only to realize, It's going to be a long time.
Firestar's eyes sought out the apprentices who were to become warriors, and leaped down. "Avenspaw, Clarypaw, and Emeraldpaw, please step forth. Emeraldpaw, your time to become a warrior is way overdue. Chartreusestep has trained you well, and you deserve to be a warrior. From this day forth, you will be known as Emeraldtalon." She rested her muzzle on his head, before turning to the two remaining apprentices.
"Avenspaw, you are also ready to become a warrior. I have discussed it with your mentor, and we both have decided you have proven yourself worthy. From this day forth, you will be known as Avenstail." She rested her chin upon his head briefly, before turning to Clarypaw.
"Clarypaw, you too are ready to become a warrior, and our mentor and I have deem you worthy. So from this day forth, you will be known as Claryfeather." She rested her chin on her head, before leaping back up onto the Raven's Ledge. She allowed the clan to chant, before she continued on.

valleykit.
Valleykit had followed her brother through the crowd, her posture steady but in no way regal as Sablekit's was. She was getting rather annoyed at his constant boasting. Who was he to say that he would be a leader one day? Their mother would be, but there was no way of telling if Sablekit would get the chance. And so she padded after her brother until they reached the front and she saw her father's ginger form. She smiled at him, meowing, "Hello, papa," politely before pushing by him. Her pale amber eyes scanned the clearing, looking up in awe at Firestar as she named Avenspaw, Clarypaw and Emeraldpaw warriors. What she wouldn't give to join them right now... but she still had to become an apprentice before she recieved her full name. The fae licked a paw and drew it over her ear thoughtfully. chartreusesteps. She couldn't help but crack a smile as Emeraldtalon became a warrior. Finally, he had made it... and she had something to tell him. Before anyone else could approach him, she stepped up, brushing her muzzle to his ear. "I'm proud," she meowed, her rough voice even but not emotionless. She locked eyes with the young tom and nodded squarely. He would be noble for both the ones he loved and his Clan. She then turned, her bushy tail wisping along the ground as she sat beside Cagedfaith.
What was her obsession with him lately? She didn't feel anything toward him in particular, but... she was always around him, as if he was an old friend. It was odd, and it made her uncomfortable though she masked it expertly. "You were right," she admitted, glancing at him. Her eyes were as bleak as her voice, but the words were from the heart. "He was... an impressive apprentice." One would probably ask her to repeat what she had said just to be sure she had said it. She sounded so cold, so distant, and yet her words were warm. Why was she saying this to Cagedfaith in particular? It must be because they thought simalerly. Yes. That made sense.
It was just that and nothing more.[/blockquote]

Darkmagic Darkmagic raised her head from the nursery as she heard Firestars call. "C'mon kits" she said quietly to her brood, userhing them outside. Walking out only a few steps she sat down and turned her head upwards to listen to Firestar. After only a few moments, the black and white she-cat sensed a presence beside her, and turning her hazel orbs she saw it was her mate next to her. Smiling a little, she twined her tail with Saintcallings. "Hey. Hows it going?" she murmered, shuffling closer to the tuxedo tom. Roseglade The light ginger tabby bounced out of the warriors den at her leaders call, her eyes bright and happy, a spring in her step. She was in a very good mood today! Roseglade looked around for Spindlespider but not seeing her friend she wandered over to Cardinalspire and Sablekit, smiling at her family. "Hey guys! Hows it going?" she asked brightly, paws tapping the ground. She chanted the newly named warriors names along with the rest of the crowd as Firestar gave them all their names. Smokekit The lithe female followed her mother out of the nursery as she shood them out to sit with her, slinking over to where her and her father sat together. "Hi Daddy" she said to her father, smiling up at him while she looked around for her brothers. Raising her head she looked towards Firestar, watching the leader in awe as she performed the ceremony. As the Clan started chanting fdor the new warriors Smokekit joined in wiuth her young, squeaky voice, smilignas she yelled. Honeykit The brown and white she-cat stumbled out of the nursery after her brother, looking around, her mouth wide open in awe at the tremendous number of cats in the clearing. This was the first ceremony she had been allowed outside for and she was finding the entire experience amazing. She squeaked in fright as she suddenly met with warm fur, having crashed into her father as she hadnt been looking where she was going. "Sorry daddy! I never meant to!" she squealed, sitting down with a bump. "Hi Auntie Roseglade!" she said happily as her aunt approached them. Ad Firestar did her ceremony Honeykit immeditately launched into her norm of a huge number of questions. "How come Firestars all the way up there? Why is everyone yelling? Did something bad happen? I hope not, cos i like good things, cos good things are good and they make everyone happy and..." she babbled on, her tail tapping the ground as she spoke. [/sub]

bic;;
The coldness of your green eyes Tell me a story of sorrow. The gentleness of your tone, Tells me something different.
Emeraldpaw
Emeraldpaw heard the announcement as he walked into camp. He was still in shock and denial about Cyanfeather leaving to Serenityclan. He sat down next to his mentor. He looked up at her, wondering if there was still hostility. He was not really thinking about anything when he was summoned forth. He padded to stand facing Firestar, curiosity bubbling at him. When she told him that he was going to be a warrior, his heart leapt for joy. Finally! I can join Aerialcircle and Dawntale! He thought excitedly. He respectfully licked Firestar's shoulder when he was given his warrior name.
Emeraldtalon heard someone pad up to him. It was his mentor. He faced her. She told him that she was proud. 'Thanks, Chartreusesteps! Thank you for teaching me. I appreciate this.' His distress about his sister disappeared as he was welcomed into warriorhood. He saw Cagedfaith. He bowed his head respectfully to his as-good-as father. 'Thank you, Cagedfaith. I am happy to be with Aerialcircle now. The two of us can go n patrol with Dawntale now, together!' He didn't mention Cyanfeather. He took her leaving as an act of betrayal.
He noticed that Cagedfaith seemed like he was wondering about something. He padded up to the warrior, who was talking to Chartreusesteps, now. 'Can I tell you something?' He asked the tom quietly.

Marblepaw
I see a red door And I want to paint it black No colors anymore I want them to turn black
Another meeting? Marble slowly blinked his lime green eyes open, his maw stretching wide in a yawn to reveal gleaming diamonds that were his teeth. He stretched lazily and exited the den, clearly uninterested in the meeting. But then he considered the possibility of a new mentor. It would be nice to go back into training rather than lying around all day and picking ticks and fleas from the elders' pelts when he was awake. His tongue was constantly tainted with the sickening flavor of mouse bile. He let his optics turn to Firestar, chanting the names of the new warriors. "Emeraldtalon, Avenstail, Claryfeather!"// Fireh, could you give Marblepaw a mentor? He's a totally new cat, so I figured you didn't know about him yet. ^^[/blockquote]

I will never let you fall cardinalspire I'll stand up with you
forever When greeted by his daughters, Cardinalspire smiled. "Hello sweet--." He broke off in a sudden wheezing fit of coughing. The ginger tom's small frame was suddenly racked violently with spasms of the sort, and it took him several moments for him to regain control of himself. "Oh my, excuse me!" He coughed again for a brief minute and then shook himself, blinking. "What on earth was that?"
However, when the coughing stopped, he shrugged and then looked over at Honeykit and Valleykit, and then at Roseglade as she approached as well. Cardinalspire's cheery smile seemed to be as bright as his pelt. "Well, hello ladies," he greeted them cordinally, touching each one with his nose. He gestured for them to take a seat near him.
At Honeykit's question, he shook his head. "No, dear. This is a warrior's ceremony. It's a very special time in a cat's life because he or she officially serves their Clan." He smiled down at Honeykit. "Like you might become Honeypaw, then Honeyblossom, Honeycomb, or maybe something like Honeydrop, or even Honeystar, like Firestar, someday." His smile widened.Falling in the black___________x x_____________Saintcalling The tom turned his head serenely when Darkmagic's tail dropped across his and Smokekit approached him. An inkling of a smile creased his face and then slipped away. "Greetings," he said softly. His narrowed light-green eyes faced the two girls. "Where are the others?"

wovenknot The threelegged tabby she-cat hobbled from the nursery, blinking in embarrasment. She had fallen asleep. She knew why. New mothers spent a lot of time resting in the nursery. Wovenknot gave herself a sharp shake and wove through the crowd until she caught sight of two familiar flaming red pelts. Cardinalspire, her mate, and his sister Roseglade. Wovenknot smiled as she also noticed her three kits, Honeykit, Valleykit and Sablekit, chatting to their father and aunt. Wovenknot sportted some of Ravenclaw's kits, who were ready to become apprentices, and smiled. Wovenknot licked Sablekit and Valleykit between the ears and nuzzled Honeykit, then pressed her nose to Cardinalspire's cheek. "Hi," she purred, before nodding at Roseglade. She jumped as her mate launched into a violent coughing fit.
"Are you alright?" she asked uncertainly. As Firestar announced the three new warriors she jumped. She couldn't believe how much of the ceremony she had missed. Though her deputy duties were being carried out by Scorchedleaf for now, she still felt responsible. sablekit Sablekit turned defiantly to look at the cat who had spoken, relaxing when he recognized his father. "My apologies, father." He mewed. The kit bore his father's embrace for a moment before wriggling free, feeling undignified. "Why yes, father. She visited us at sunhigh." The brown and white tom turned to look at Valleykit as she approached, and then Honeykit. He rolled his dark eyes at her insistant babbling. "Dearie me, Honeykit, do stop your gibbering. It is most degrading." The tom fluffed himself up in pride, only to have his fur flattened again by his mother. "Mother! I beg you, do not startle me in that manner again!" The tom turned to watch the ceremony, his chin raised. avenstail The lithe silver tabby tom got to his paws, vaguely startled by Firestar pronouncing his name. He'd forgotten that he was nearing warrior age. The apprentice padded forward, his silver-striped pelt brushing the inky black coat of his sister, Clarypaw. He exchanged a quick glance with Emeraldpaw, an older tom who was overdue his warrior name. The tom held his breath. And then suddenly, he wasn't Avenspaw anymore. He was Avenstail. The new warrior raised his head, dipping it in thanks, then turned. He was immediatly greeted by Secretcalling, who congratulated him profusely. Avenstail turned to Claryfeather. "Congratulations," he mewed, touching noses with his sister. He smiled, happy to forget Maplepool for the moment, happy to forget his troubles. He was a warrior! dawntale A pretty she-cat sat in the crowd, her sleek black and white fur glossy. Dawntale watched, her sapphire eyes bright with joy as Emeraldpaw stepped forward to accept his warrior name. Finally, he would join her in warriorhood! Maybe now... Perhaps now she would have the courage to tell him who she felt about him. The patched warrioress gasped as he was given his warrior name. He was Emeraldtalon! She ran to him, her face bright, and touched her nose o his. "Oh, well done, Emeraldp- I mean Emeraldtalon!" she mewed, ecstatic, purring at her mistake. She pressed her smooth muzzle to his. "I'm so happy for yoy."
// Could you make Geckokit, Sunsetkit, Sunrisekit, Salmonkit and Saffronkit apprentices, please? ^^ And Avenstail is fine.

forever He greeted his mate gently. "Yeah, I'm fine. You should be with Firestar though," he smiled. Cardinalspire felt the urge to wheeze but he swallowed it down, shaking himself. He wondered if he could talk to Dancinghare about it. The tom came to his paws and paced a bit. "Do you think I'm coming down with something?" He asked Roseglade.

The coldness of your green eyes Tell me a story of sorrow. The gentleness of your tone, Tells me something different.
Emeraldtalon
Emeraldtalon almost decided to change his mind and not break the tom's heart. He had taken the three in when they were just young. He had cared for them, more than any father had done. Eemraldtalon was glad to have his support always. Right now, though, he knew he was breaking his father's heart. Ever since Copperleaf had left the clan, he had considered Cagedfaith as his father. He was too young back then to know any different.
Emeraldtalon took a deep breath. He didn't want to tell Cagedfaith. He would hurt him too much, but he knew he had to. 'Cagedfaith, Aerialcircle, Cyanfeather and I went out together. We went near the Serenityclan border. That tom was there, the one who assaulted Cyanfeather. Me, being the overprotective brother, attacked him. I got banged up. She stopped us. She... she decided to go live in Serenityclan. I attacked the tom again and I accidentally hurt her when she tried to break us up again. I got a pretty bad scratch here.' He showed the tom where Timbersmoke had clawed in on the jaw. He continued. 'Anyways, she scratched me, told Aerialcircle that she would miss him the most, told him a message to tell you and then she left. I called after her, but she never answered. Cagedfaith, she's gone! She took off with that traitor!' He cried out. He felt betrayed by his sister. He didn't want to call her his sister anymore. He only considered Aerialcircle, Dawntale and Cagedfaith to be part of his family now.
He turned when he caught a whiff of the she-cat he wanted to see. 'Dawntale! I suppose you heard that story. But, thanks! Now we're warriors together! We can go on that walk now! I can't believe it! Thanks for being here for me, Dawntale! It means alot to me.' More than you realize, my love. He finished silently. He wanted to tell her how he felt, but he didn't know if she'd reject them. They had a beautiful friendship and he didn't want to ruin it. He looked at her instead, just gazing at her. She'll never leave the clan. She'll neer leave me. He thought to himself. More than that traitorous Cyanfeather. He growled to himself, finishing off that statement. [/blockquote]

dawntale The sleek-coated warrioress's dark blue eyes widened at Emeraldtalon's story. She gasped, her body tensing. "Oh, Emeraldtalon, she didn't mean what she said. She'll miss you, too. And you'll miss her, I know you will," she mewed in a soft voice, touching her soft nose to the brown tom's cheek. She wasn't entirely sure why Cyanfeather had chosen to leave the safety of MoonClan, where her family and friends resided, to throw herself on the mercy of an unknown, enemy clan. Dawntale blinked, confused. All she knew was that this was upsetting Emeraldtalon, and she resented both Cyanfeather and the disgusting cat that had assaulted her for this. Nevertheless, the black and white she-cat felt a pang in her stomach. Cyanfeather had been one of her only friends, and now she was gone. It made her want to keep close to Emeraldtalon and Aerialcircle, in case anything happened to them.

FIRESTAR
Lost in this symphony, Seeing the images the portray, Lost in the symphony, Don't know what else to say.
Firestar flicked her tail to silence her cats, and continued on. "We have five kits who are ready to become apprentices. Salmonkit, Saffronkit, Sunrisekit, Sunsetkit, and Geckokit, please step forward. You have reached your sixth moon, and you are now ready to become apprentices."
"Geckokit, from this day, until you recieve your warrior name, you will be known as Geckopaw. Limestone, train Geckopaw so he may be an honourable warrior." She dipped her head to the pair, and turned to Saffronkit.
"Saffronkit, until you recieve your warrior name, you will be known as Saffronpaw. Heavysand, I know I can trust you to be an excellent mentor to Saffronpaw, and teach her to learn how when to shut her mouth." Firestar's eyes glimmered with amusement as she nodded to the pair. Then she turned to Salmonkit.
"Salmonkit, from this day forth, until you recieve your warrior name, you will be known as Salmonpaw. Dawntale, I am entusting you with your first apprentice. Train Salmonpaw well, so he may be a credit to his clan." She nodded before turning to Sunsetkit.
"Sunsetkit, from this day forth, until you recieve your warrior name, you will be known as Sunsetpaw. Secretcalling, train Sunsetpaw well so she may be a credit to her clan." Nodding her head, she turned to Sunrisekit.
"Sunrisekit, you will be known as Sunrisepaw until you become a warrior. Scorchedleaf, you taught Cyanfeather well, and I trust you to train Sunrisepaw the same." She nodded her head to the pair.
"Before I close this ceremony, I call up Marblepaw. You are without a mentor, so I shall give you one. Morguefable, you are ready for your first apprentice. Train Marblepaw well so he may be a credit to his clan." She dipped her head to the pair.
Firestar flicked her tail, as to say the meeting was over and to dismiss her cats, before leaping down and disappearing into her cave.
LIMESTONE
Limestone's eyes glimmered as she padded over to Geckopaw. "Well, little one, how would you like to start training?" She asked him, after touching noses with him. She backed away, leading Geckopaw away from the rest and nodded. "We can train with your siblings a lot, too, if you would like." She told him, smiling encouragingly.
*SUNRISEPAW*
Sunrisepaw reached up and touched noses with his mentor. "Can we train now?" He asked the tom, smiling slightly. "Can we train with one of my siblings? That'd be neat." He gave his mentor a smile, before padding to Sunsetpaw. "We're apprentices!" He pressed his nose against her cheek and smiled. "Now we can train with Geckopaw, and Saffronpaw, and Salmonpaw! This'll be neat!" He smiled happily, before looking at his mentor. "Can we go training with Sunsetpaw?" He asked innocently, his green eyes wide and full of happiness.
OROCHICLAW
Orochiclaw leaned against Ravenclaw. "Look. Our kits are apprentices! Remember when we were that young? I didn't even know you then." He purred, licking her ear. "Want to go hunting afterwards?" He asked her, smiling. The tom remembered when the kits were born, how scared Ravenclaw had been. But that was then. The Ravenclaw he saw before him now was a confident she-cat, ready to take on anything. He felt a burst of pride for her and licked her cheek, purring still.

geckopaw The slate grey tom got to his paws as his name was called. He shook himself and smoothened his coat with his small pink tongue. The young tom then padded forward slowly, not over-excited, his cool blue eyes calm. Geckokit halted in between Sunrisekit and Salmonkit, his head raised to listen and look at Firestar. The kit perked up his ears as his name was called first. Geckokit nodded as he was renamed; Geckopaw. The grey kitten dipped his head, tilted his ears forward, and turned to greet his mentor. The new apprentice stretched upward, on the tips of his paws, and touched noses with Limestone. "That would be pleasent," he mewed in a his dreamy tones. "I don't mind who we go with.." Geckopaw watched his siblings as they were given mentors, smiling slightly. ravenclaw The longhaired black she-cat brushed her tail over Sunsetkit and Sunrisekit's backs, before licking Geckokit and Saffronkit between the ears and giving Salmonkit a little nudge. She then flattened the fur between Salmonkit's ears, her eyes wide. Ravenclaw watched, her sapphire eyes anxious, as her five kits padded forward on their fluffy paws to become apprentices. The inky she-cat butted her head against Orochiclaw's shoulder, before quickly looking back at the ceremony. "I know," she murmured. "But they're so young, Orochiclaw. Will they be okay?" She immediatly smiled and shook her head, knowing she was being stupid. They were ready to leave her side, even Saffronpaw, with the right mentoring. It was just her. Ravenclaw took a deep breath. She had to let her kits go. "Saffronpaw! Sunsetpaw! Sunrisepaw! Geckopaw! Salmonpaw!" secretcalling The lithe silver tabby watched, pride in his eyes, as his son and daughter milled through the crowd, no longer apprentices, but warriors. It seemed like so long ago that he and Limestone had arrived back in MoonClan, but some cats still held a grudge against them. As he thought this, the silver tabby looked at Wovwnknot. His indigo eyes narrowed. His oldest daughter had not let him go anywhere near her kits. Secretcalling felt sadness blossom in his stomach as he watched Sablekit, Honeykit and Valleykit. His grandchildren. The grandchildren he would probably never be allowed to love. Secretcalling jumped as his name was called. He was to mentor a cat? And so was Limestone! It seemed Firestar had finally decided to trust them fully again. The lithe warrior padded forward to meet the svelte black apprentice, Sunsetpaw. He touched noses with her. Her lively personality reminded him of Wovenknot when she was a young kit. He smiled. dawntale The black and white she-cat's sapphire eyes widened in surprise as her name was called out. She looked up, shocked. Why had Firestar chosen her as a mentor? She was only a young warrior! And surely her kittypet roots would make a difference? But it seemed they did not. The young she-cat shot Emeraldtalon an uncertain glance, before padding forward, her tail trembling. Dawntale approached the blunt-headed ginger kitten, Salmonpaw, and touched her nose to his. "Er, I'll try to be a good mentor to you... Okay?"

Leaves dangle, Black from the fire. Like my love, It’ll always be a desire.
Scorchedleaf Scorchedleaf was sitting quietly, listening to the ceremonies. His ears pricked when he got called as a mentor. He got up and padded to Sunrisepaw. The apprentice was talking too fast. 'Whoa, there, slow down. Yes, we can train with your siblings, but not today. I'd like to get to know my apprentice.' He smiled down a his aapprentice then touched noses with him. He put his head back up and cast a searching glance around the clearing. Where was Cyanfeather? All he saw was Emeraldtalon with Cagedfaith lookig sad. Something must have happened. He thought to himself.
When Sunrisepaw turned back to him, he looked back at his apprentice. 'Sorry, what did you say? I got distracted.' He mewed to his apprentice. *** The coldness of your green eyes Tell me a story of sorrow. The gentleness of your tone, Tells me something different. Emeraldtalon Emeraldtalon pressed against Dawntale, feeling her support for him and his family. 'At least I still have you.' He mewed quietly to her. Then Firesat shushed the clan. He listened intently as the kits were made apprentices. His eyes lit up as Dawntale was called forth. 'Go!' He told her when she looked back at him. He was excited for her. He watched as she recieved her apprentice. He chanted out the apprentices' names. 'Sunrisepaw! Sunsetpaw! Salmonpaw! Geckopaw! Saffronpaw!' It was too bad that Cyanfeather was missing all this, Emeraldtalon thought to himself as he watched Dawntale. *** I know I can be grumpy, I know I can be proud. But overall, I know that I can be who I need to be. Salmonkit Salmonkit was quivering with anticipation as he was called forth by Firestar. He gazed up at the leader, waiting for his mentor to be chosen. Dawntale. Dawntale was to be his mentor. Salmonpaw. He was now Salmonpaw. Salmonpaw looked for Dawntale and saw her padding up to him, leaving the new warrior, Emeraldtalon. He lifted his head up to touch noses with his mentor. 'I know. I will be as good to you as you are to me.' He told his mentor, sitting down. Salmonpaw [/sup]

saffronpaw.
"Yesss!"
Saffronkit's screech could be heard from across camp as she skidded to a halt in front of the Raven's Ledge. Her tail was twitching and she smiled smugly as she was named second. Her smile turned into a pouty frown, however, as Firestar spoke indirectly to both her mentor and the Clan. "Hey! I don't talk that much!" she protested, probably causing some giggles among the older cats. (Chartreusesteps, on the other hand, just scoffed. Heavystep would have his hands full.) Oblivious to her own irony the she-cat huffily padded up to touch noses with Heavysand, immediately mewing, "I want to go see the territory!" She stretched up on her tiptoes then rolled back down again, dropping into a clumsy hunter's crouch. "And I don't wanna go with any of my brothers or my sister!" she declared, her head high. "'Cause I'm bored of them!"
valleykit.
Valleykit blinked, wide-eyed, as Cardinalspire broke down coughing. Not wanting to believe that he was okay after that much coughing, she frowned, her brow furrowing in a serious expression. "Papa, I'm gonna go get Haredancer," she mewed, not realizing that there was no such cat in the Clan. Of course, she meant Dancinghare, the medicine cat, but it was close enough. Shuffling through the excited crowd, she bumped into someone while she was trying to remember exactly which tunnel led to the medicine cat's den. She stumbled, looking up, staring into a face that was both framiliar and new. Wovenknot had never told her she had a grandfather within the Clan; she was completely lost for words as she marveled at how much this tom looked like her mother. "Oh! Um, excuse me...?" she prompted the tom for his name, curious.[/blockquote]

secretcalling The lithe silver tabby padded back in Limestone's direction, smiling slightly. He was happy that Firestar seemed to have decided to trust him and his mate again, after so long. Secretcalling very nearly tripped over a small cat before him, taking a step back. The silver tabby frowned at the ginger kitten, until he recognized Valleykit, one of his daughter's kits. He blinked. This was the first time he had ever been allowed near any one of the kits. They probably didn't even know who he was. Wovenknot was busy talking to Cardinalspire.. "I'm Secretcalling," he mewed kindly to his grand daughter. "I am your mother's father, Valleykit." He smiled reassuringly at the she-cat. He meant her no harm. He just wanted to get to know her, and her brother and sister. wovenknot The steel-coloured tabby nodded as Valleykit spoke up. She was too worried to correct her daughter's mistake. She narrowed her eyes at Cardinalspire. Was he really okay? The she-cat blinked her light blue eyes and looked at her paws. After some time she looked up, wondering where Valleykit had got to. She craned her neck, peering around the camp for her fiery-coated child. Her mouth fell open as she spotted Valleykit. Wovenknot propelled herself forward with all the speed she possesed in her three legs, grabbed her kit and held her fiercely against her chest. "I told you, stay away!" she hissed, her voice deep and filled with loathing. Snatching up Valleykit by her scruff, she carried the kit back to Cardinalspire and then placed her down between her forepaws. "Valleykit, sweetheart, you must never, ever go near that cat again, understand?" she mewed, her voice too urgent, her eyes too wide.

I will never let you fall cardinalspire I'll stand up with you
forever Cardinalspire frowned at Wovenknot. "Darling, please...give him a--." He couldn't finish his sentence. The tom was reduced to another spasm of coughing, this time so violently that he toppled down. He swallowed deep breaths and struggled to his paws. "Alright...I'm going to go see Dancinghare." He panted heavily, wheezing and trying to bring in as much oxygen as he could. As he passed Secretcalling, he flashed his father-in-law an apologetic look. He wasn't old enough to know what had gone on with him and his mate, and he wasn't the type to hold a grudge because Wovenknot did. He'd have to ask her what the issue was later after Dancinghare gave him some herbs for his cough. ooc;// Wolf, can you tell him that he has Greencough?[/sup]

"Oh, so you're my grandfather, right?" she asked, grinning. But that grin became a frown as she thought over the amount of viseters they'd had to the nursery. Why had she never seen him before? "How co --" her question broke off abruptly as Wovenknot suddenly snatched her up and brought her back to where she and Cardinalspire were sitting. Why had her mother been so frantic? She looked up, wide-eyed, wondering exactly what the silver she-cat was thinking. "Mama, why can't I talk to Secretcalling?" her voice was genuinely curious as she glanced back through the crowd of cats. Secretcalling had seemed nice. Why did Wovenknot not like him? And besides, he was her papa! "I'm allowed to talk to my papa, right? Why not your papa?" she tipped her head to the side, but before she could say any more Cardinalspire began to wheeze again, and she suddenly remembered what she had been doing when she ran into Secretcalling. "Papa!" she cried, trying to support the full-grown tom against her tiny little body. [/blockquote]

wovenknot The threelegged she-cat shot her father a very dirty look. She stared at Cardinalspire accusingly. "No! I said he could stay in the clan, I didn't say he could touch my k- Cardinalspire!" Wovenknot released Valleykit and ran to her mate, pressing up against him. She waied for the coughing fit to pass, terrifying images running through her brain. She couldn't live without Cardinalspire. She gasped as he stopped coughing. At his words she nodded firmly, her blue eyes wide. "Be careful," she whispered. The queen turned back to Valleykit, pulling her away from Cardinalspire. "Daddy's going to see Dancinghare, Valleykit," she soothed. "Now, listen. I don't care who he is, you are not to go near Secretcalling again, okay? Or Mummy will be very, very cross." She licked Valleykit roughly between the ears with a fierce protectiveness. She didn't want Secretcalling to hurt her kits as he had hurt her. secretcalling Secretcalling narrowed his eyes as his daughter suddenly appeared. "Wovenknot, there's no need-" He stopped as she snatched up her kit and stalked away. "You can't shield them forever!" he snarled after her, losing his temper. He unsheathed his claws and sank them into the dirt, his sharp teeth clenched. Hatred welled up in his chest - the same hatred he had felt the night he had given Wovenknot the scars hidden beneath her fur. Secretcalling lashed his tail and turned away, stalking past Limestone and out of the camp.
