Name: Raindance
Gender: Tom
Age: 21 moons
Clan: CloudClan
Rank: Warrior
Looks:
{the golden face of a tabby}
Raindance has a sweet, adorable face that immediately reflects his personality. He was born a tabby, with distinctive tabby markings across his forehead and face. His forehead markings are the markings that stand out more fervently than any other, and makes him stand out. His head frame is large, but not overly so like his father's had been. He's not big and bulky, but he does have the handsome appeal of a large tabby. His ears are mostly always sternly pricked, and never are they flattened unless he feels threatened or is angered by something. And never is he usually angered, for his face rarely shows his true emotions. He likes to keep them all locked deep inside, away from the views of others. Even a flicker of doubt or sadness can barely be seen as an expression on his face, and many often ponder on why this is so. His eyes, a light shade of emerald, are deep pools of warmth and compassion. They are pretty large and not so close to his nose, so that it fits in with the frame of his face. Whenever one looks into this young tom's eyes, you'll often see calmness and thoughtfullness in them. Anything else, and you'll have to tread deeper.
{the frame of a fierce warrior}
Raindance, when you first glance at him, can be rather over-whelming. He is a very large tabby tom, like his father had been, and has definitely stolen his father's admirable build. He has broad shoulders, with a short and thick neck that leads up to a medium-sized head. His frame is not slender, which takes away any abiltity to run as fast as the other warriors. He has long legs, but his large frame does not allow him to push his body as swift as others who have more slender bodies. That is why when in battle, he does not use any endurance, but instead his fierce and wise battle moves that nearly takes every rival warrior by surprise. He has made up some of his own battles moves himself, after roaming alone for half of his life, and he plans to pass all of them on to an apprentice if he ever is given one. Also, he has unusual long claws - not as sharp like Tigerstar's, but unusually long. It is a trait he has inherited himself, for his father or mother had never had long claws since they were kittypets living in kittypet homes. Although Raindance never complains, they are a good advantage when battling. All-in-all, Raindance is a very impressive warrior, although despite his large size he does not take advantage of it, and he only uses his great strength when nessecary; the true sign of a great warrior.
Actions:
Raindance is a gentle tom, and quite adorable too. Once you meet him, he is very calm and docile, but definitely not ambivalent. Those who do meet him are immediately calmed by his presence, because he never shows it as a threat. Reason being why so many like him - he's a kind and simple character. He doesn't like to make things difficult or uncomfortable. And he will do almost anything to not make it that way. He nearly always stands up for himself, but knows when to remain silent. He never likes to interuptt anyone when there speaking, and when someone does speak to him, they always can tell that he's listening. Raindance is also very respectful to those that have higher authority, and will almost never be inconsiderate. He cares for others deeply and will always be there for someone if they need him. He can mostly always tell if someone is feeling just the slightest bit troubled, and he will be there to turn their frown upside down. He's very compassionate, and loving, and he hates putting people down. Raindance can be very stern too at times, if he's mentoring his apprentice, but even then he's very gentle and understanding. He loves kits, and he loves his Clan. He would be loyal to it to the end.
I think the best trait of Raindance's is his ability to strongly understand others. He knows just what to say if you are having problems, and he has always has that sixth sense on whether or not you are troubled or not. He's not nosy or always in your business though - he's not annoyingly so, he's more like considered and a loyal friend to all. Very much like a peace-maker. He doesn't like to see his friends fight, and when they do he doesn't hesitate to step in and calm down the fire. He has the great ability to do that - one moment two cats could be spitting insults at each other and the next apolgozing to each other after listening to Raindance's words. Like the rain, his words are calm and soothing, and it immediately distinguishes the fire. Another thing about Raindance is that he doesn't get easily tempermental - if someone dislikes him, he simply doesn't show that he cares. In some ways this behavior enrages them, but it's the only way that Raindance solves conflicts with his enemies. He hates having enemies though, and will often stay away from those that dislike him.
Every cat has its flaws though, and Raindance is no different. Despite his kind and compassionate personality, he has many flaws under the surface. And one can barely detect them when he hides them so well. Underneath it all, he's a very sensative tom. You'd think with him being a peace-maker and all he wouldn't care what others think about him, but they are clearly mistaken if they think that. If ever a cat throws an insult at him, Raindance crumbles inside. He hates it when people don't like him, and so when others prove that they don't he feels insecure and sentimental. Usually he will go away for a short period of time to spend time with himself, and during that time will often lay down and dream about anything that comes to mind - anything but hate. Like I said before, he is a sensative time, and he hates to admit it. Another flaw of his is that he can't help but solve problems. Now if you think that's not a trait to be proven a flaw, you're wrong. This is one of the main reasons why some people do not like him. He goes into other cats business only to show that he cares, but some cats just like to be left alone and he doesn't understand that. Since he is a sensative cat, he thinks that others need help frequently, and that's not true in some cats cases. They get irritated with him, when all he is trying to do it help them. Pretty sad, right? He still doesn't understand it, but sometimes he needs to be reminded that not everybody needs his caring words and generous heart.
Past:
[.x.]Kittenhood[.x.]
Rain was born a loner along with his parents and his sister, Gypsy. Their parents were named Whispy and Tiger. Both of their parents were kittypets, but their parents lived in seperate homes. The twoleg owners had no idea that their pet had been pregnant, and once Whispy had her kits, they threw the kits out and left them stranded. Whispy, fearing for her kits lives, left her kittypet home right away and tore into the open garage door of her mate's home. Tiger was there, and once she told him they both set out to find their kits. It wasn't long until they did. The two kits, Rain and Gypsy, were huddled close together near the side of a road, their thin kit fur ruffled by the cold wind that blew against their small, fragile bodies. Whipsy and Tiger both took one into their maw and decided to leave their kittypet homes - forever. They knew that both their twoleg owners would not want to keep their kits so they had no other choice but to leave. They traveled for many miles until they came upon a dense woodland. They made their home there, in a dark and safe cave, and Rain and Gypsy grew up there. Their kithood was pretty uneventful, always being taken cared of by their parents because they feared for their kits lives. They lived in a small cave, but big enough for the four of them, and each day Tiger would go out and manage to hunt for his family. Whipsy on the otherhand would stay and protect her kits from any predators. One day, a fox had slipped inside while Whispy had gone out to help Tiger hunt. Her kits were about seven moons old, but starvation had driven the fox into near insanity. He striked at one of them - Rain - and had given the little kit a scar that would remain on his left ear for a lifetime. He had courageously stood in front of his sister, shielding her from the fox's deadly claws. Although luckily enough, he didn't have to protect her for long. Tiger and Whispy came running in after scenting a fox in the cave, and attacked it at once. They drove the fox out of their territory, and made sure they had given it the wounds to reassure it that if it ever came back, they would kill it. After the fox episode, Whispy never left the cave again. But ever since that day, Gypsy could never stop admiring her brother for standing up for her like that, and for braving the fox's dangerous presence. To her, he would always be her little hero.
[.x.]Adolscence[.x.]
Ahh, adolscence. The stage of life where everyone makes their mistakes in order to learn, right? Well Rain and Gypsy certainly made theirs. Their adolscence was filled with adventures. Even though they only had their parents to share the territory with, they were always allowed to go out and explore now that they were about eleven moons of age. Although, because of their young age, wisdom hadn't exactly settled in yet. They were foolish, especially Gypsy. She was the wild one, always wanting to get into mischief and everytime she found a way to drag her brother into it as well. One of their crazy journey of theirs worth mentioning is when Rain and Gypsy attempted to learn how to hunt. Right when Gypsy was going to pounce on a mouse, there was a rustle in the bushes and out came a fox; and this wasn't just any fox. It was the same fox that had almost killed them when they had been kits. The two were horrified, but now that they were thirteen moons old they knew that they could face it. Both Gypsy and Rain attacked it - and the fox fought back ferociously. But in the end, they managed to kill it, for the fox was frail and had close to no strength in him. The two of them had felt glorious, and afterwards they had ran all the way back to the cavern to tell Tiger and Whispy just what they had done - and since then never were they afraid of a fox again.
[.x.]Adultship[.x.]
They became strong and healthy cats, Rain turning out to be a heavy-set handsome tabby tom, and Gypsy a beautiful slender gray and white she-cat with entrancing golden eyes. They stayed with their parents until Tiger and Whispy passed on, and that was when they serperated - never had they intended to do so, but their parents death had had a major affect on them, and they knew that it would be wiser if they found their own lives. The two littermates had been together all their lives, and they knew that they would seperated sometime in their life, and it might as well be now to make it less harder on them. They both agreed and went their seperate ways. Sadness made their hearts heavy, but they both knew that they were doing the right thing. Their parents had been the only thing that had binded them together, and now that they were gone, it was time for them to make some differences. Gypsy setted off into the setting sun, and Rain the opposite direction. Their final good-bye was brief, but filled with love and compassion. "I will never forget you Rain.. " mewed Gypsy softly, entwining her tail affectionately with her brothers. Rain, with his ears flattened against his furry tabby head, resisted the urge to sniff, and licked his litter mate lovingly on the flank. "Nor will I, Gypsy. May your life give you great fortune." The two locked each other in a final, tender embrace, and then left, never to see each other again. Rain traveled many moons as a loner, and at times he felt distress, like he would never find his true home. It took him many moons to find it, until he found CloudClan...accidentally, he had trespassed onto their territory. A group of four or five cats had immediately tracked his scent down, and before he knew it he was facing five furious cats. He had never been so afraid in all his life - not even when the fox had attacked him. At first, the cats were defensive and angry, but Rain remained calm and after awhile, they showed him their camp. CloudClan. That was what they called themselves; he was so amazed with it all. And it wasn't long until he agreed to become a warrior. They gave him a warrior ceremony, and he was henceforth named Raindance - and Raindance he will forever be.
[.x.]Warriorship[.x.]
It didn't take long for Raindance to get use to clan life. He fitted in very well, and many admired him for that. Many said that they thought he had been a cat from a rival clan - with his strong muscles that rippled beneath his thick tabby fur, and his massive build. But despite his size, they realized right away that he was a softy - but not so soft in battle. When he first did battle training, he surprised everyone with his fierce agility and sharp defenses. And when out hunting, it just came natural to him. His father, Tiger, had taught him when he had been an adolescent, and after being a loner for many moons hunting was a necessity, not a skill. So he turned out to be a great warrior after all, and after going to one of the Gathering's, the leader proudly introduced him as the newest CloudClan warrior. Apprehension had prickled his fur when all eyes turned to him, but after awhile of staring he noticed that many were not looking at him with mockery - they were looking at him with admiration. And after realizing that, he had puffed out his chest and lifted his head to meet everyone's gaze. It was no doubt that he was a great warrior, and would continue to be during the many moons ahead. He is a full clan member of CloudClan now, and he will hunt and defend it even at the cost of his life. Many don't even treat him like a kittypet's kit. Actually, no one treats him like that at all. He had proved many times before that he is definitely not a soft kittypet, and he will continue to prove it for as long as he lives. He is Raindance, proud and loyal warrior of CloudClan - anyone want to challenge his loyalty? If so, you're signing your death wish.
In Character:
The moon was out high tonight, bathing the moorlands with its magnificent silver glow. The rich green grass that stretched out endlessly across the moorlands was now the shade of silver, swaying lightly in the breeze. The atmosphere was eery; and not even the rabbits that usually sprinted across the grassland was out. The whispy silver clouds passed over the moon, vanquishing the moonlight that had been illuminating the darkness. Suddenly, a large tabby warrior padded out of the thick woodlands and onto the stretch of long grasses; and all grew still. The large warrior lifted his head to the darkened sky and opened his maw, drinking in the scents around him. A sudden, female scent attracted his attention and drew him nearer to the border, his lithe, massive body lurking silently within the deep undergrowth.
With each muted step he took, he could scent her nearer. His nostrils flared eagerly, and his ears flattened against his tabby furred crania as he trudged on, aware of his every surrounding. The tabby was abnormally large, larger than any RiverClan warrior could be, and he was fiercer than any cat could ever know; ad the tom had the battle-worthy skill to prove it. No cat ever doubted his fierce fighting abilities, and any cat that would would have to surrender to his cruel wrath. His eyes, a deathening amber, gleamed ebony in the darkness that engufled him as he continued to stalk past the RiverClan's border, and into WindClan's territory. He wasn't sure what made him want to do it, but all he knew was that he was hungry; and none of that hunger concerned prey. His sharp fangs gleamed dangerously white through the pitch blackness, and as he stopped to scent the air, he scent the she-cat just a couple fox lengths ahead of him; his ears pricked as he heard her beckoning mew.
Time to rumble. the warrior thought with a silent chuckle. He had planned something for awhile now; something no cat had ever been able to try to attempt before. It was a dangerous scheme, but he was a dangerous tom. His loyalty to his clan would remain the same, but his only concern now was the she-cat he had just found now, who supossedly, would work brillantly with his plan if he played his cards right. Squaring his broad shoulders, Crimsonclaw lifted his head and sauntered quietly into the bushes, becoming nose to nose with the she-cat who's eyes gleamed sapphire. He blinked, then flashed her one of his most charming grins and dipped his maw courteously to her. "Why hello there, beautiful..." he mewed devilishly, showing off his muscles as they rippled handsomely beneath his fine tabby coat. "Now why is a young pretty she-cat such as yourself wandering alone in the middle of the night?" Crimsonclaw mewed, sitting down on his haunches in front of her and flexing his unusual long, sharp claws. He fixed his gaze strongly on her face and waited patiently for the young femme's response. This she-cat seemed perfect for his scheme. She was young, attractive, and seemed perfectly capable of birthing a healthy, strong litter. She would do nicely. He chuckled evily to himself. He had nothing to lose.
