[ooc;] I know several apprentices are out on an assesment, but just pretend they're here..
Amethyststar lifted her head, blinking open her dark, glittering amber eyes. She shook her head. Her kits mewled at her tomach as she pushed herself to her paws. The two little kits squealed in indignation as Amethyststar slid past them into the bright morning sunlight. It glimmered on her well-groomed fur as she jumped nimbly up onto the Shaderock, and called for her clan.
Spectrumpaw padded from the apprentices' den, closely followed by Beacanpaw. The two toms sat side by side in the dark grey shadow of the Shaderock, their heads close. They appeared to be discussing something. Pantherstealth trotted from the warriors' den, his multi-coloured fur rumpled. His handsome face twisted into a smile when he saw his half-sister, Amethyststar, standing upon the Shaderock. The tom sat by himself, paws folded comfortably beneath him. Scrawltale padded from the nursery, flicking Beacanpaw affectionately on the flank as she passed. Her son smiled at her before returning to his conversation with Spectrumpaw. Scrawltale seated herself next to Pantherstealth, looking at uncle breifly before turning her yellow eyes up to Amethyststar.
"Gillpaw, can you come here please?" Amethyststar called her apprentice up onto the Shaderock with a clear, commanding tone and a flick of her long black tail. When the grey-and-white tom approached, the she-cat continued; "I, Amethyststar, leader of EclipseClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in his turn." She hesitated. "Gillpaw, do you promise to protect and defend this clan, even at the cost of your life?" After the tom replied, Amethyststar spoke up again. "Then from this moment onwards you shall we known as Gillwing. The clan honours your bravery and your compassion and we welcome you as a full warrior of EclipseClan."
Beacanpaw smiled, chanting; "Gillwing, Gillwing!" He had been good friends with Gillwing when he had been his den mate. He hoped their friendship would hold, despite Gillwing being a warrior and Beacanpaw a nine-moon-old apprentice. "Gillwing, Gillwing!" Spectrumpaw chanted, flicking his tail happily as he reliezed in only a moon or so he would recieve his warrior name. "Gillwing, Gillwing!" Scrawltale and Pantherstealth chanted. Pantherstealth remembered his own warrior ceremony, smirking as he remembered how excited he and his sisters, Serpentsong and Daintyfoot, had been. Scrawltale seemed lost in thought, thinking of Beacnpaw and Sunpaw's warrior ceremonies. If only Aspenkit, their brother, had lived to see his...
