Fernpelt jumped up to Shaderock with one easy leap. 'Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather here for a Clan meeting.' She sat down and curled her tail round her paws while the cats gathered. 'Amethyststar is travelling to the Moonstone today. She has left me in charge of the camp. On sunhigh patrol today will be Fennecemask, Moonmist and Spectrumpaw. Lonelyheart, Scrawltale and Swiftpaw will take out the Evening patrol.' She leapt back down as the group started to break away.

Lunardance cuffed Razortomb sharply over the ear, glaring down at the black tom. "Have some respect for her" she growled softly her teeth by his ear until she whipped round and stalked over to the she-cat.

Fernpelt watched him go. 'Don't blame him too much. He mustn't be quite over his parents death yet. And anyway it's just natural for other cats not to like me giving orders too much, after all, I haven't been deputy for that long.'

Moonmist sighed as her name was called. Why did she have to go on patrol? She was so tired. She lazily moved toward the edge of the clearing and layed down, waiting for sunhigh to come.
Lonelyheart had just slipped in the clearing when she heard that she was to be in the evening patrol. She hissed angerily. She wanted to be alone, to think. She licked a paw and swiped it over her ear. Then again, she knew she was going to have to move into the nursery soon, she might as well get out while she could.......
She closed her eyes. She realized that she not only would be going on patrol with Moonmist's apprentice, but with Scrawltale, who knew about her ex-relationship with Cormorantstar. She sighed. She hoped Scrawltale wouldn't say anything about it. It hurt when she remembered that she alone. Again.

Bic; Scrawltale sighed, and dug her claws into the frosty earth, stretching her thin back luxuriously. Spotting Lonelyheart, she padded over to the white warrior, smiling wryly at her. She knew that Lonelyheart's forbidden love had stopped, and was glad, as it would only end in tears. But she felt pity for the young warrior. "Sorry," she mewed gently, nudging the she-cat's flank. |

Scrawltale sighed. The she-cat wasn't even llowing herself to be comforted. Fine! She thought. The Rex hd been brought up tough because of the endless teasing that had been aimed at her because of her appearance. Turning, she stalked away. If Lonelyheart chose not to confide in her then it was her loss. |

Fennecmask dragged himself wearily out of the Warriors Den, his movements where stiff and he looked in more of a mess than usual. One of his large bat-like ears was pushed right back against his skull white the other looked oddly lopsided, his shoulders where slumped and there seemed to be blisters on his fur-less paws. The tips of his fangs where poking out gently over his bottom lip as he yawned once more, a shudder slipping through his body. He hadn't slept or eaten since the day his kitten died and the frightful display had been shown. He couldn't push away the memory of his own son screaming out for help. Shredding a single tear he sat down in the middle of camp and lay down, his body looking so limp it could even be pulled off as dead. [/center] |

Scrawltale shot an angry look at Lonelyheart, before noticing her mate. Hi appearance brought back all the memories of her beloved Aspenkit. She crawled over to Fennecmask, squatting beside him, eyes dull pebbles of greif. How could Lonelyheart be so inconsiderate? Moping around like it was the end of the world. Other cats had sorrows too. Some worse than others. thought Scrawltale greiviously.
Their single son, Beacankit, tottered from the nursery, looking at his paws. The kit stumbled into Lonelyheart, and slashed at her muzzle in shock with unsheathed claws. He was having one the strange fots he sometimes had. "Watch it, Lonelyheart," he little runt spat. |

Lonelyheart payed no attention. She just walked away and sighed. Her feelings were slowly isolating her into a world of grieve and pain. She then suddenly trotted away, out of the camp, and toward the river, deciding to skip out on the evening patrol.
Her heart was broken, her soul shattered, and now everyone was turning againest her. What was wrong with the world? [/size] |

Becankit hissed unexpectantly at Fernpelt, though the two were friends. The fit was obviously making him forget who his friendfs were. |
