kissedmagic Her small paws patted the long, lush grass of the SerenityClan territory as she walked. Her crystal-white fur swayed in a light breeze that was growing stronger by the second. Even in the gloomy early winter light the patches on her coat glowed as silver as moonlight. The longhaired warrioress halted as the wind began to sting her clear sapphire eyes. She had snuck out again, even after he encounter with the CloudClan tom. She had been glad Thunderstep had found her, but... Her thoughts had not left the tom since she had left him. Had she even found out her name? She couldn't remember. The experience had been so fraught... But she remembered him complimenting her name. And he had caught on quickly to her muteness. She felt a certain respect towards the strange CloudClanner. But her thoughts were banished from him for now. Chunks of snow, not the pretty snowflakes that she dreamt of, were falling fast from the skies that had suddenly turned black as an oil slick. And now she was blinded by snow. Kissedmagic pressed herself into the now snow-blanketed grass, her body shaking with fear and cold. As usual, she was silent in terror. So how would anybody find her? And did she even know that her wanderings had carried her right to the CloudClan border and over it?

Feeling the pain of many lifetimes,

The rejection I see in your eyes,
It makes it many times worse.
Palegust [/font][/size] Palegust was bored. That was it. He had nothing to do and wasn't assigned to any patrols because his paw wasn't healed totally yet. So he decided to go on a walk. This walk took him to a place that was all too familiar. The Serenityclan border. That was where he met the most amazing she-cat. Kissedmagic. Her scent was still stuck in his nose as he thought of the beautiful femme. Ah, I can almost imagine that I can scent her.Suddenly he realized that he could.
Palegust tore up and down the border, lookign for her. Suddenly, he found her. She looked cold and scared. Palegust leaned down and looked at her straight in the face. 'What are you doing out here in this snowstorm? Come, we have to get you home. To one clan or the other.' Palegust shook his coat as snowflakes hit him. They were cold and wet. He leaned down closer and pressed his nose to her to show that he wasn't a threat. 'Come, I want to help you.' He mewed to her anxiously. [/sup][/blockquote] |

kissedmagic The she-cat shut her eyes, looking like a fallen angel from StarClan as snow landed on her thick coat. Kissedmagic tried to think of something that would make her last moments happy, but she couldn't grasp anything. The she-cat's deep sapphire eyes flew open as she heard a voice. She shuffled backwards away from the cat as he padded towards her. But she recognized him... It was the tom that she had encountered on the border. Kissedmagic shuddered in fear. How did she know she could trust him? Shivers ran down her spine as he touched her, but not from cold. Kissedmagic rose, the silver patches on her coat completely covered by snow. The warrioress stumbled, banging into the tom. There she stayed, warmth from his body joining her own. |

Palegust [/font][/size] Palegust held his ground as she bumped into him. He quickly looked from camp to camp and assessed which one was closer. He looked down at Kissedmagic and felt her fur. She seemed to be frigid. He realized that it would only be a matter of time before she got sick. 'Which camp?' He asked her, expecting her to point with her tail. Then, he realized that the snow was falling faster. 'No...' He whispered to himself. He looked around at the gathering whiteness and started to pad quickly to his camp. He knew his way to the camp and he knew that Kissedmagic would be more welcome if she needed help other than Palegust going to Serenityclan camp to just escort her home. 'We're going to go to Cloudclan camp, okay? We're closer, I think, and you need help fast before you catch whitecough. Okay?' He asked her, stopping so she could answer. [/sup][/blockquote] |

kissedmagic The longhaired she-cat blinked at Palegust as he questioned her. Her head was spinning. She tried to take a step but stumbled and only held her footing by leaning desperately on the tom. She shut her eyes, feeling drowsy and numb with cold. She barely listened as the tom carried on talking. But as he moved away from her, Kissedmagic swayed. She steadied herself eventually, her sapphire eyes foggy. But they sharpened with panic as she saw which direction Palegust was going in. The air may have been filled with swirling white, but she could still tell that that was not the direction of the SerenityClan camp. The silver and white she-cat began to hyperventilate. She did not want to do anywhere near an enemy camp. Kissedmagic flattened herself to the snow. After a moment of fear-stricken staring at the tom, her vision wavered, and her body limpened. She couldn't go to the CloudClan camp.. She couldn't... Her blue eyes closed abruptly. |

He helped her up, then started to pad to the border. He stopped and looked back. 'You sure? This way, I can't stay with you. I have to help you there, then go home. Well, if that's what you want.' He sighed again and waited for her to reach the border. [/sup][/blockquote] |

kissedmagic The longhaired she-cat stayed where she was for a long moment, eyes shut. She only stirred after Palegust had spoken. She blinked faintly up at the tom, her sapphire eyes clouded and vague. She staggered to her paws, the cold numbing her whole body so she stumbled clumsily into the CloudClan tom. She stumbled after him towards the border, but as he mentioned leaving her, she wrapped her bottle-brush tail around his stomach, her face wild with fear. Don't leave me! Her gaze was begging him, her eyes round and glistening with terror, her whole body quivering with cold. She didn't care what happened now, not any more. As long as he didn't go, not now. He couldn't leave her, could he...? There was no Thunderstep to turn up and save her today. She needed him. |

Palegust [/font][/size] The tom was surprised by a tail being wrapped around his stomach. He looked down into Kissedmagic's eyes and noticed the pleading. As if she didn't want him to leave. In spite of the predicament, he let out a quiet purr as he realized that there was at least one cat in the world that needed him. But then he had to answer to her pleas.
'Kissedmagic, I don't want to leave you, but your clan will make me leave after I get you home. You realize that, don't you?' He mewed, trying to get her to realize what he meant when he said that he had to leave her. He sat down in the snow and waited for her response. [/sup][/blockquote] |

kissedmagic The longhaired she-cat looked into his eyes at length, it being one of her only forms of communication, and caught the trace of gratitude in their depths. Why was he grateful to her...? The beautiful she-cat shuddered violently as he mentioned leaving her. She shook her head and pressed herself closer to him, then gestured towards the CloudClan camp with her nose. She didn't want to leave him, so she would let him take her back to the closest camp - his camp. She didn't want to be there, but... Palegust would protect her, right? He would hide her from prying eyes? Kissedmagic found herself clinging to the tom she barely knew, snowflakes melting through her thick fur to burn her skin. Her pretty sapphire eyes were round with fear. |

[/font][/size] Palegust got up and started to lead the way. He remembered then what had happened the last time, so he quickly went to her side. He looked back into here eyes and saw the uncretainty. 'Kissedmagic, I'll protect you from Cloudclan. They won't hurt you, I promise you.' Suddenly, he found himself actually being nice to a cat that he barely knew. He wanted to defend her and he meant his words. HE knew that this cat was important. Somehow, in his heart, he knew this cat would be important in his life. Palegust pressed closer against her and strted to urge her on. He did not leave her side, though as they started to make their way through the deep snow.[/sup][/blockquote] |
