lavenderlace. She never thought she'd be able to sleep even though she felt tired all the time. There was just too much to do, and it didn't seem right to sleep when everyone was so injured... Lavenderlace sighed, pushing through the ferns to the moss-lined area where Runningcloud used to spend her nights. Lavenderlace crawled into the indent in the moss, her form fitting easily into the dent Runningcloud had left. But she felt no comfort knowing Runningcloud had been here, it didn't matter if she had been here, because she wasn't here now.
Maybe sleeping would clear her head. Dipping her muzzle to her paws the ginger medicine cat felt herself drift into a dream without much difficulty. But the dream was troubling, it was peaceful and quiet and yet it filled her with worry. Everything was white. Wind blew from all directions, whipping her fur this way and that as it tumbled by. She stumbled more than once, blinded by the blearing white until it dawned on her. That was snow! Snow was covering everything... She gasped as a torrent of wind hit her on the side, shaking her awake.
And as she opened her eyes to the real world, the fae shivered. Why was it suddenly so much colder? Could it be that... Lavenderlace got up and poked her head out into the main area of camp. Sure enough, the medicine den had been shetered from most of the snow that was blowing through camp. And even then, the camp was bound to be more covered than the territory.
That was a prophetic dream. And this, this didn't look good. [/blockquote]

. Lionkit . . Through the eye of the storm . Ochre coloured eyes glowed cheerfully in the cloudy day, his fluffy orange body was in a lumpy pile that was supposed to be a hunters crouch. His massive paws clawed out at a little moss ball that was supposed to be a mouse, his orange paw squished the ball with force that it took awhile to spring back up. But Lionkit's cheerful nature was replaced with curiosity as a small white piece of cloud floated down and landed on his nose. More followed after that as if the clouds from the sky were falling down toward all of them, the wind started to blow the white puffs into the fluffy kits swampy eyes. The puffs were cold, as cold as ice. Lionkit was confused as he tried to block the snow from going into his eyes, fear stroke him as he looked around. There was to many white puffs to see where the nursery and his siblings were, the large amber male ran to the direction he thought it was. The bitter scent of herbs hit his maw as he skittered into the medicine cats den, his massive body shook with cold as he hunched as far into the den as he could without disturbing whatever was inside. 'Lavenderlace? Lavenderlace, what is this cold puffs and why do they look like tiny clouds?' The medicine cats scent hit him, though he didn't know if it were fresh or not he just wanted help back to his family.

lavenderlace. When the medicine cat heard a desperate little mew coming from only a few mouse-lengths in front of her, she had to squint to recognize the fluffly amber coat of Lionkit. Fearing that the snow would be too heavy to walk through, she found that even if her feet slid into the snow she could wade through thanks to her long legs towards the tomkit, who was not quite as lucky. As she grabbed his scruff in her mouth she realized that this must be his first time seeing snow - it would be for a lot of the kits in the nursery.
She made it back to the medicine den and dopped Lionkit onto a dry bed of moss, lying on her stomach so that they were at eye-level. "That's snow, Lionkit," she meowed in the gentle tone she'd been taught to use with kits. "Were you outside when the snow started falling? That's a lot of snow, Lionkit, more than usual. So listen: I'll bring you back to the nursery, but you must promise never to go out in the snow unless a warrior is with you. Okay?" [/blockquote]

. Lionkit . . Through the eye of the storm . Lionkit sighed in relief to see the medicine cats tall figure approach him through the icy cold, his ochre eyes closed as the snowflakes swirled into his face. "That's snow, Lionkit," The amber male opened his eyes again to find himself in the mdicine cats den, he turned to look out at the snow and it's puffy coldness. 'Well, snow isn't very nice." The kits large feet padded the ground to try and get warmth into his body again, he didn't want to go back out there if it was going to attack him. Lionkit nodded her head to her question turning to face her in respect, 'I promise,' He added the words into his nod, he just wanted to get back to the nursery to his siblings and mother.

lavenderlace.Lavenderlace smiled at the kit and slowly set off across camp with him in her mouth. The wind whipped against her side and an icy chill shot through her paw pads and up her legs with every step. There were a few times when she was afraid she'd drop Lionkit, but she held on and kept her eyes fixed on the nursery, it's brambled outline blurred by falling snow. Her jaw clenched. A trip just to the nusery shouldn't be this hard.
It wasn't long until she had taken shelter in the entrance to the nursery, setting Lionkit down in a bed of moss. Shaking off some of the snow fom her ears, the medicine cat murmured to herself, "Why didn't I see this coming before?" [/blockquote]
