some days i wade in the indigo singin' that song on the radio
Heartlessfrost quietly drew a paw over her ear and sat down gloomily, which was pretty natural to her. Sablestar had brought many cats to the Tribe of Nightmares, but she couldn't help but remember that time when she had been so sure of a new arrival - Sablestar had already been reeling her in to this world by an invisible thread no cat could see, for it existed only in his mind, yet was as real as the forest they all came from.
i blame these puddles on the rain, you know i gotta keep these cheeks dry today, gotta keep my cheatin' stratagy,
What had made Sablestar stare inot nothing? He had seen something she hadn't. And that made her mad. She furiously growled and kneaded the ground with unsceathed claws. How would he like to be stuck one step from leadership forever? There was no way Sablestar could die. Not that she knew of, anyway. So there was no way for her to become leader.
and baby i am gonna have it made

"Pensive?" came the haunting voice that revealed to be Windstripe. The lithe grey tabby slipped up towards Heartlessfrost, their earlier spat seemingly forgotten. "Do you have the odd feeling we're going to fight soon or is it just me?" Light-green eyes gazed into the clouds before staring at unsheathed claws. Windstripe glanced at Heartlessfrost with a mystical smile.

Heartlessfrost glared back at him, her green eyes like daggers, willing them through Windstripe's body. "Yes, I do think we will be fighting something soon." she spat bitterly. not afaid to hid her sour feelings. ooc; Writer's block...

Windstripe sighed, avoiding Heartlessfrost's glare. "I don't know why you're doing that," he said softly. He seemed to have changed, as if his spite had been ripped away from him. He was like a puppet without those feelings; spite had kept him alive, kept him undead in this Tribe. Sablestar had said spite had no place here so did that mean Windstripe had no place in the Tribe. He seemed like an empty tree, still standing and going on but with nothing inside. He glanced blankly at Heartlessfrost. "Do you think those kits will be powered by S-s-s-st----That Clan?" The word StarClan wouldn't come out. Windstripe seemed to be infused with the Tribe itself, a place of nothingness.

"Those kits..." Heartlessfrost sunk her claws deeper into the earth, frustration flooding her veins. "Sablestar - and you - really believe that five kits and a loner can overcome the undead?" the orange-and-white she-cat purred with sour amusement. "We are the Tribe of Nightmares. If Sablestar should actually even try to bring new cats here, maybe we could take over even StarClan." her voice was bitter as she spoke.[/sup]

Windstripe's maw released a hollow laugh. "I could care less what happens, Heartlessfrost. I will follow Sablestar's commands until he releases me or is killed," he said quietly, turning his grey tabby body away. "In the latter case, I will follow you." The warrior sighed and turned his head upward with a faint smile. "I cannot wait to fight, to see the blood of Aurora paint my tabby stripes..." He glanced at Heartlessfrost with a look of utter madness. "You can have those kits, but the loner is mine." Ah, so spite was still there but channeled through a different way. How odd...

"I kill whoever is next to me in battle." she hissed quietly, smirking. "But for now, I belive this is a special case. I'll leave her yours, Windstripe." she closed her eyes, blinking slowly.
