Anxiety pounded into the she-cat's mind. She padded along the endless stretch of land. " Shakenleaf?" The faint cat called. It was Firestar's life calling for him. "Shakenleaf?" She called again.

Shadestar, who had been prowling the gloomy camp, bared her teeth as the echo reached her ears. "Firewind," she spat scornfully, recognizing the voice. "Or, should I say, Firestar?" The she-cat's bloodied eyes swung around as she spoke. "I never thought you actually had enough backbone to be MoonClan's leader..." She laughed cruelly. "Or is Thornstar still holding your paw?" she added in a whiny, baby voice, her sarcasm hard hitting. |

"At least I didn't rely on Razorstar so much that I killed myself to be with him, Shadestar." All the hatred she had ever felt for that cat was in those words. "You have never known what it is like to be a leader because you were always holding Razorstar's paw, making sure he was alright with your decision befor you made it. Now here you are in this place. Now I wonder, are you still holding his paw?" She sneered.

Shadestar face twisted with loathing, her judgement clouded by the Tribe's hold on her. The black cat hissed. "At least I could face my clan!" she spat. "The second one of your pathetic cats says anything against you its the end of the world! You can't even stand up to your own friends, you can't even prove to them that you'll live up to Thornstar!" |

"That's not true! I have always stood up to my clan! I never would do any different! At least I don't lean on another leader for support! If this were back in the forest, I would shred you..." Firestar hissed, eyes glowing red with anger. See, they could glow red because of where they were.

Shakenleaf's eyes lit up impressively- it was Firestar! He couldn't believe his own eyes, how could she be here? She hadn't died, surely... no, because her outline was pale. It was only one of her lives. He ran to her, his heart leaping- and when he reached her, he buried his muzzle in her fur. "What happened?" He whispered, referring as to how her life got to the Tribe.

"Something interrupted my visit with Starclan and took this life. But I'll be fine. As for her," Firestar flicked her tail at Shadestar, "She's a piece of work. I need to deal with her."

Shakenleaf turned to Shadestar, his eyes glinting in anger. "You leave her alone! Just because you don't know what it means to be loyal doesn't mean you need to steal that from others!" He unsheathed his claws, which promptly sank into the cloud below him. That Shadestar had such nerve! He was so angry, his tail twitched at Firestar to stay silent. He would deal with Shadestar himself.

.ooc; He wouldn't love her anymore. o-o; Otherwise Shadestar would still love Wolfwing, who is in StarClan. The Tribe catsaren't supposed to have feelings for others.
Shadestar hissed angrily. "I was loyal!" she spat. "I was a good leader! I wasn't afraid to stand up to my clan! I wasn't afraid of StarClan!" She trembled with anger. "And now I'm loyal to my new clan! How can you say sch things, Shakenleaf, when you are showing poor loyalty to your own clan? We are your clan now, accept it!" The black cat suddenly looked stricken. "I had to! I had to forget him!" Turning to Firestar, she hissed; "And I never needed Razorstar to hold my paw.We argued a lot of the time! I hated him," she added. "Hated him, though I loved him." |

"Back off Shaken;eaf, she's mine..." Growled Firestar. She slunk right up to Shadestar and stuck her nose into her face. "I was loyal. And I always will be loyal, whatever clan I'm in. You have no right to call me that..." She hissed in a menacing tone.

Shadestar wheeled around. "Get out of my face," she hissed. The black cat stalked away, thinking of telling Sablestar about Shakenleaf... But no, she had never been much of a tell-tale, and besides, she didn't much like the tribe leader anyway. The she-cat collapsed against a misty oak, her teeth grinding, her scarlet eyes wavering green... Clover green. She felt a flash of remorse at her lost life, before the cruelty of the tribe washed up and swallowed it. |
