Rogueclaw felt alone in herself, trapped like a bird in a cage. She didn't want to stop until they found Windclaw, but Spectrumflash had made her sleep. She kept dreaming about what was happening, will I ever see Windclaw again? She hated her thoughts, she hated it that she brought pour Spectrumflash all the way out here, she didn't even know if Windclaw was anywhere near here. Rogueclaw fought with some of her thoughts then decided, she was going back to camp and apologizing to Spectrumflash for bringing him out here for nothing. Her eyes fluttered open, it was still night and the moon was bright above her head. She got up and sat outside of the little old badger set they were sleeping in.

The sun was bright. Too bright. Spectrumflash stirred, the light burning his eyelids. "Go away," he muttered under his breath. "Tryin' to sleep." The grey and white warrior rolled over, sighing, before the light became too much to bear. He opened them, before blinking them shut again. After opening them to slits, he rolled onto his paws and yawned. Spectrumflash looked around. Where am I? The young warrior was confused for a moment, before he spotted the silhouette of Rogueclaw against the hard white glare. Oh.. Yeah. Spectrumflash groomed himself quickly, ignoring the hunger in his stomach. He padded out to stand beside Rogueclaw, saying nothing. Spectrumflash looked at the wide fields, admiring the springy blue flowers that grew there. But the longer he looked, the sooner he realised that the flowers were shrivelled and dying. Spectrumflash died. Nothing could stop winter taking over the forest, especially not him. |

"Lets go home Spectrumflash....... I'm giving up on the search for Windclaw............. it's just not fair for you to get in-trouble because of me..................... lets just go home" Rogueclaw looked at Spectrumflash with sad, depressed, and glad eyes.

Spectrumflash looked sideways at the tabby, his blue eyes confused. He glanced back at the crumpling fields of flowers, the forlorness returning. He shook it away. The grey and white tom turned properly to look at Rogueclaw. "Are you sure?" he mewed. He wanted nothing more than to go home, but he hated to see any cat so depressed. "I don't mind getting in trouble," he added loyally. "It's for a good cause." Spectrumflash's eyes darted shadily from side to side. "Besides," he mewed in a quieter voice. "It's not like I've never been in trouble before." Spectrumflash smiled breifly at Rogueclaw, trying to make her feel better. He knew it wouldn't work. His smile slid off his face quickly, and he returned his gaze to the fields. |

Her head turned to Spectrumflash "I'm sure that this is the best.............. maybe we could try and look again when leaf-bare has left" Her eyes stared like melting ice into his. She was going to finally relax and soften her ways towards others and her sister. "We should get back before leaf-bare really kicks in" She looked back towards the field, she thought the shriveled up flowers looked amazing in a weird way.
