Rogueclaw felt relived to get out of Moonclan territory. She felt happy of when they reached the Bluebell Glade. Rogueclaw had to sit, she plopped onto the ground. She looked up to Spectrumflash at her side. "Im going to tell you the real reason I wanted to come here, Spectrumflash". There was a long pause of silence before she continued "The reason I wanted to come here was because I wanted to see if Windclaw was here". Rogueclaw wanted to look away from him, but she wouldnt let herself. Rogueclaw stared into Spectrumflashes eyes wondering of what he was thinking

The young warrior padded at her side, head raised. Spectrumflash's sky blue eyes were following the clouds as they raced eachother across the heavens. The grey and white tom looked down, distracted, as Rogueclaw spoke to him. Her words stirred some memories of a cat he might have once known as a kitten. Ah, yes... Windclaw. "I thought he was dead?" Spectrumflash mewed in surprise. Only afterward did he realise how blunt he must have sounded. "Oh... Sorry." |

Rogueclaw felt a surge of relief to get all of that out to someone. She didnt like to blame her leader at all, Rogueclaw almost denied that she did that but it was true and she couldnt change it.

Spectrumflash felt confused, but did not show it. The young warrior gave a slow nod, his blue eyes clouded with thoughts. The tom shook himself, licking his chest a couple of times, using this as an excuse to look away from Rogueclaw. Spectrumflash then looked straight ahead, examining the trail. The ground was rocky and the grass short and sparse, not at all the long grasses of EclipseClan. The rawness of the ground underpaw sored the warrior's paws, and he winced. |

Rogueclaw felt uncomfortable after she told Spectrumflash about what had happened. She walked on in silence feeling the familiar ground under paw. Rogueclaw looked over at Spectrumflash "Are you ok?" Rogueclaw asked with great concern as she saw him wince.

Spectrumflash turned as Rogueclaw spoke again, sounding concerned. He was confused for a moment, then remembered his small wince. "Oh, I'm fine," he reassured her. He lifted his paws higher and placed them down more gently as he walked this time. The grey and white tom wondered how much longer they would have to walk on for. Where would Windclaw be? If he was there. Spectrumflash sighed. Was Rogueclaw mad? |

She looked down why had Shadestar sent Windclaw away probably knowing that she would find out sooner or later. Her eyes shot up as she heard a noise in a bush ahead of them. Rogueclaw stopped in her tracks thinking it would be either a rogue, loner, or prey.

Spectrumflash halted at the noise, shoulders tense. His fur bristled, and he arched his back. The grey and white warrior bared his teeth, hissing loudly. He scented the breeze, but it carried nothing. They were downwind. It was probably just a mouse or rabbit, but they could not be too careful. "Show yourself!" His voice was full of defiance, and his challenge echoed around the plains. The evening sky, the colour of blood, stared coldly down at the pair, as though taunting them. |

Rogueclaw snuck around the bush making sure not even Spectrumflash saw her. She jumped into the bush. She came out a few heart beats later with a rabbit dangling from her jaws, and a disappointed look. She set the rabbit at Spectrumflashes paws to tell him that it was only a rabbit. Rogueclaw started to walk again, but this time a lot slower then before.

Spectrumflash's eyes followed Rogueclaw as she prowled around the bush, holding his breath. He relaxed when he spotted a rabbit dangling from the she-cat's mouth. He watched as she dropped it at his paws, before trotting on. The grey and white tom took one step, then doubled back, picking up the the rabbit. He then ran to catch up with Rogueclaw. Spectrumflash looked at Rogueclaw, his eyes saying, we should never waste prey. |

The silver she-cat glanced over to Spectrumflash and smiled. Rogueclaw stopped and sat down, waiting for Spectrumflash to set there meal down.

Spectrumflash dropped the rabbit and waited for Rogueclaw to take the first bite. It was only polite; she had caught it, and as Spectrumflash always said, she-cat's first. Spectrumflash sat down, looking up at the sky and remembering his kithood fondly. He recalled all the moons he had spent with Ravencurse, and then his apprenticeship... |

Rogueclaw didnt really feel hungry, it would be awhile for her to eat. She bent down and took a small bit. The rabbit was juicy in her mouth. She swallowed and pushed the rabbit to Spectrumflashes paws. She didnt want to think about if this trip was a waste of time. She thought about the first thing that came to her mind. Was her family ok? Was her best friend that she was going to grow up with ok? Was her sister still mad at her? Was Savedge, Rose, and Ghost still alive? She wanted to know if everything was ok.

Spectrumflash took a bite from the rabbit, the taste of meat vrich in his mouth. He swallowed, and felt suddenly hungry. He had not eaten since the night before, as he had given up his breakfast to the kits. The grey and white warrior took a few more bites of the fresh kill, before offering it to Rogueclaw again. He detected a flash of longing, and worry, in her eyes, and turned his head on one side. Spectrumflash sat down, licking the remains of rabbit from his lips. "You okay?" |
