Name: Swiftpool
Gender: She-Cat
Age: 14 Moons
Clan: EclipseClan
Rank: Warrior
Looks:
Swiftpool is a brown she-cat with dark stripes, an American Bobtail. She has white fur underneath her tail as well as a long, black stripe down her back. Her neck has white fluff as well as her stomach. The black stripes on her body zigzag back and forth, making an almost lepoard-like pattern. Her ears are long and flat, with black tips at the end. When she runs, she runs quickly on the tips of her paws and her tail is almost always in the air. A fellow Clan cat would describe her as quick running and balanced and always aware of her surroundings. Finally, her long black whiskers have white tips at the end and give her a more serious appearence.
Actions: Since her apprentice days, Swifpool has been kind hearted and determined. She has always questioned the Warrior Code's valibility but mainly abides by StarClan's rules. In battle, Swiftpool fights for her Clan with a great ferocity and loyalty. Swiftpool has a great respect for all cats, even those who are deemed by other Clan members to be disloyal. When her good motives are challenged, however, Swiftpool can get irritated easily. She does not appreciate others telling her how she should do things. It might be said that Swiftpool is a very proud cat, and this is enhanced by her self-built position in the Clan. However, Swiftpool is quite frightened of the Twolegs and their ability to pollute the river. Although brave in battle, she is a coward against the Twolegs. Finally, she is not quick to make friends, but rather quick to gain respect. Her self-determination and self confidence inspired many other cats to look at her as more of a leader than a friend. The friends she does have are close and loyal, and she would not have it any other way.
Past:
Memories: From her cruel past Swiftpool has learned to be kind and gentle towards sufferers. Her mother, a cripple from an accident with the Twolegs, suffered when she felt obligated to go and hunt for her Clan in another Clan's territory. The whole incident lead to a battle, and Swiftpool's mother was never forgiven. For that she was shunned by her Clan, and Swiftpool had to gain her own respect as she grew up under the shadow of a mother who was unwanted and unliked. Her father who was a brave warrior for the Clan did not help either. He was ashamed of his mate's accident and refused to speak to her until the day he died in battle. From that moment on, Swiftpool has believed in the importance in family more than ever.
Kithood: As a kit, Swiftpool did not understand why the other kits would treat her differently. She was mistrusted by the other Queens and warriors. Due to her childlike innocence she did not understand this until one day a warrior told her what had happened. For awhile Swiftpool felt useless, but her strong heart overrode the predijuces placed upon her by her Clan. She decided to prove her worth and loyalty to the other cats of the Clan.
Apprentice: As an apprentice she tried to ignore her past and prove herself swifter and faster than any warrior. The other apprentices would mock and laugh at her for anything wrong she did but in the end she was determined to be the best all of them. Swiftpool, harmed by the anger against her mother and her from the leader was one of the last apprentices to be promoted to a warrior although her skills surpassed other apprentices her age.
Warrior: As a warrior, Swiftpool proved her loyalty to her Clan by hunting day and night and being the most valuable warrior to her Clan. Despite the unfair way she was treated, Swiftpool's self determination and confidence drew many cats to become her friend, and those cats stayed her fast and loyal friends. However, Swiftpool secretly wishes she had a mate. She would love someone to be close to and to confide everything in. But until Swiftpool decides to let some of her emotions show and let her guard down, she is far away from a relationship.
In Character: Swiftpool sniffed the air as she crept her way towards the forest and her muzzle shook in delight. Fresh prey! She smiled slightly, creeping towards the river. The pure air was smitten with pine, clearing her head. For once, it was good not to have to deal with all the problems of the Clan and to focus on her rumbling stomach. Even though one of the apprentices had offered to fetch her some food, she had declined. There was nothing she enjoyed more than snatching up a fresh squirrel from the woods.
Arching her back she lept into the underbrush, closing her eyes as the skratchy sensation ran over her. With her emerald eyes she scanned the ground for animals, and saw one foolishly dwadling near a rock. Narrowing her eyes, she dived for the kill.
With a start, Swiftpool snapped around. She thought she might had heard a noise. She crept towards the spot where she had heard the disturbance, her ears flattening. Narrowing her eyes, she lept in the air but was met with only a gush of air sweeping her jaws. Muttering to herself, she left the forest. There was no chance of catching the fish again and besides, there was already enough fresh pray caught. She thought of the other warriors waiting for her to come back, and sharing tongues with the others. The thought was appealing, but she thought she might patrol the borders a bit more, to make sure there was no trouble. The irrational fear crept over her again, and she shook it away. Of late she had been worrying of not catching an intruder in her Clan and being blamed of it. Angrily she shook her muzzle, willing the thought to go away. She was stronger than that now. She must not worry about it. Shaking the fears from her mind, she headed back towards the camp where her friends were surley waiting.
Relationships/Kin: Swiftpool has a few very loyal warrior friends in EclipseClan, who have gained respect for her. Her mother is an elder of EclipseClan, still largly disliked but liked by a few warriors of the Clan.
