age 8-9 moons

looks;
In the means of looks, you can't even compare Maplepool to her brother, Crowtalon - he would win every time. But this doesn't mean she's not a beautiful cat; not at all.
Maplepool was born with a pelt far from plush, but not at all coarse. As you might imagine it covers her frame completely, coating her with dark brown stripes. She is the classic brown tabby, with line after line of thin black and brown markings. She even has the tabby 'M' on her forehead. There's not much more to say except for that she has a lighter brown underbelly and a long, ringed tail.
Well, wait, that was a lie. I can tell you about all the smaller details, all the details that make up a cat. Her eyes are a nice place to start, hmm? Hazel seems to be a very popular color for cat's eyes, and that's what Maplepool has - very pale hazel eyes with flecks of darker green and even faint traces of yellow. Claws are important, too. Maplepool's claws are sharp and curved, perfect for ripping off other cat's fur. Her ears are very strait and alert, perfect for listening to conversations across camp.
personality;
Well, depending on your view of things, Maplepool can be a very different cat. Ask Crowtalon, for example, and his response would be automatic: 'Evil. Pure evil.' Ask her mother, though, and you'd get 'An overexcited ball of peppy, determined fluff.'
This shows that Maplepool has many sides, and indeed she does. She is very peppy and jumpy, always eager to do something - if it is in her liking. If she doesn't like the task she was asked to preform, she has two tactics:
a. whine.
b. play dumb and go hunting instead.
Some say Maplepool is lazy because of this, but she's really just a cheeky little cat who is bound to straiten up when she becomes a warrior. She loves getting reactions out of people - er, cats. She teases her brother Crowtalon for almost no reason, taunting him like no one else can. If he's to stay in camp for the day, she purposely walks by and asks if he wants to go hunting. If he's already eaten his share of fresh-kill, she goes and sits beside him while she's eating. However, since Crowtalon's death she's realized the real reason for her teasing: she wanted to be recognized by Troutcatcher and Crowtalon as another one of their siblings, not just an annoying cat.
Maplepool is also a master in the arts of persuasion. She will make a cat who wants nothing to do with her follow her around all day - with the exception of Crowtalon, of coarse - but not by bribery. She may sometimes lay a guilt trip, but that's very rare. Mostly she just pesters them until they agree.
history;
Maplekit. Troutkit. Crowkit. Sunflowerkit. These four pitiful creatures were born to Twilightstealth and Darkscowl, and only because Twilightstealth had a fight with her first love, Flamethoughts. She mated with Darkscowl to make him jealous; but she should have known that she would get nowhere with a plan like that. Flamethoughts tried to apologize, but as soon as he knew she was pregnant he refused to even speak to her. Strangely enough, Darkscowl wanted nothing to do with his kits, either. So poor Twilightstealth, who had brought all this upon herself with a fight, had to kit alone. Soon after her kitting an angry Flamethoughts killed Twilightstealth; so her four kittens were left with no one to care for them. (And by the way, Flamethoughts also killed Darkscowl before comitting suicide himself.)
Luckily, a kind tom named Couragesteps took pity on the kits and gave them to his mate, Calkpelt, who had recently lost a litter. They all grew to be fine apprentices, but Sunflowerpaw - whom Maplepaw had been very close to - got caught in a bear trap within her first moon as an apprentice.
Maplepaw became Maplepool, along with Troutpaw and Crowpaw, who recieved the names Troutcatcher and Crowtalon. Then came the battle with the Tribe: Maplepool stayed safe but Crowtalon died protecting Troutcatcher from a Tribescat. It was only after the battle that Maplepool realized that she missed her brother dearly, and she felt as though Crowtalon would never forgive her.
