Pale brown undercoat. Dark brown-splashed face, paws and tail. Strikingly blue eyes. A light and slender form.
Put these attributes together in the form of an EclipseClan-born kit and you have Brackenkit. Unlike his calico sisters, he was born with a short, sienna pelt that is so slick it makes his muscle stand out, however little he has. Brackenkit was built more for running and jumping than for battle, as his limbs are long and he is actually quite skinny. His face looks as if it had been dipped in sticky chocolate, leaking around his ears and eyes. His paws and tail are both dark-brown as well. His body is covered in short, downy kit fur, as all kits do, but shows signs of becoming rougher as he grows.
By far, the most striking thing about him is his bright blue eyes. They stand out from his coat like the moon on a clear night. They reflect kindness and understanding, but also that kit-like playfulness.

Brackenkit is a sweet kitten, always ready to listen if you need him. He always seems to have a calming air around him. Easy-going and peaceful, Brackenkit is not one to start a fight. This is sometimes mistaken for laziness by his siblings, but all other cats realize that Brackenkit is just happier sitting back and watching. He is not the most outgoing cat in the Clan, but that doesn't mean he's shy. Not as shy as his brother, Cacaokit, at least. He still tends to be on the quieter side of the spectrum. Brackenkit is calm and understanding, and he almost never gets angry. Whenever there's an arguement between his siblings, he tries his best to solve it without fighting.
Despite all this, Brackenkit is a determined little bundle of fur. Always ready to learn, he jumps to his paws whenever a warrior offers to play with them. While his siblings often want to play something like badger attack, Brackenkit always wants to be taught some new fighting moves or stalking tips. And, once he's started, he won't give up until he's got it down perfectly.

It was deemed so by StarClan that female deputies and leaders are not to have kits, for their time in the nursery could be a time of weakness for the Clan. But try as she might, Fernpelt couldn't help falling in love with the dashing young tom known as Beaconsong - and now she is expecting his kits.
Brackenkit was one of the kittens born to Beaconsong and Fernpelt of EclipseClan with his siblings, Willowkit, the bubbly and forgetful one, Cacaokit, the shy and reserved one and Laurelkit the bouncy and optimistic one. They all know very well that they are the children of the deputy - but none of them know if that will cause problems in the future, either.
