The Cats Of Poetry is a poetry book I wrote last year for school. It included either almost or all types of poetry made, from Haiku to
Sonnet. Many of them were made about My made up warriors cats, all but one from the Elemental Forest, my made up Clan Forest. I figured I'd post the Warriors
ones on here.
~Haiku~
Midnight
Slipping through darkness,
Tears stream from her moon-like eyes,
Her emotions held.
"Midnight," he calls out.
She answers to her love's call
And mews for him back.
Sadly, she sprints off,
Heading through the shady night,
Warmed by him again.
~Diamantes~
Fadedstar
Cat
Subtle, Quiet
Watching, Guarding, Protecting
They call him Fadedstar
Sneaking, Padding, Advising
Wise, Respected
Leader
Life and Death
StarClan
Loving, Peaceful
Dancing, Helping, Leading
Ancestors, Good, Evil, Tyrants
Killing, Destroying, Plotting
Dreadful, Despised
DeathClan
~Acrostic Poetry~
Shardkit
Shadowed with sadness
Hearing voices of the past
All of his sorrows weighing down more with each pawstep
Reliving those sad moments
Distant from his family
Keeling over in the cold winter snow
It may only be a matter of time, but still,
Trapped in a world of blindness
~Cinquain~
Moonkit
Kitten
Wise, Sorrowful
Weeping, Wailing, Crying
Mourning the loss of his father
Wisher
~Tanka~
Shardkit
Teardrops crashing down,
Blind by eyes, clear sight by heart,
Though it has broken.
Sorrow weighing on his paws,
The stars shall light his venture.
He treks through winter,
Wondering when the pain ends.
His heart is aching,
Far more than the rest of him.
He hears voices of the past.
~Alliteration Poetry~
Diamondchest
Slipping in stillness, she steps silently and sorrowfully through shadows.
~Quatrain~
Riverkit
A kit watching among the starry sky,
Watching over her trekking brother.
She weeps sadly, wondering why
Her fate could not be another.
To lose everything in life,
Is it not a horrible thing?
The pain stabs her heart like a knife,
And his cries make her ears ring.
With all the other stars so bright,
She seems to be the most dim.
All of them dancing in the moonlight,
Still they watch over him.
So now she knows he'll make it through,
But, "Shardkit," in his dreams she pleas,
"As long as you travel, keep hope and, too,
"Remember to never, ever forget me."
~Sonnet~

The trekking finally comes to its end,
He can rest his eyes, he can rest his feet.
On his new family he must depend
To teach him the names of the cats he'll meet.
Yes, he still mourns the loss of his father,
As well as his mother and sister too.
But explaing his pain, he doesn't bother,
For their identities, they never knew.
No longer shall he walk alone in dreams,
For the longest trek isn't as it seems.
