Neta
Name: Neta
Gender: Tom
Age: 20 moons
Clan: Seekers
Rank: Deputy
Looks:
Neta’s fur is a silvery gray complexion with stormy gray markings. He is smaller in size, with bright blue, keen eyes, like he’s observing you. He is much smaller than his leader, Leolin, and many can’t understand why he’s deputy, because of his size. But it’s his personality that shows why he is deputy.
He has characteristics of an eagle. That is his special quality. He is super light on his feet, and if you glanced, you would think he was flying, not running. His paws are small, and used to any terrain, making it easy for him to run anywhere, fast. He has long, hooked teeth, like an eagle’s beak, useful for tearing prey and fighting off other animals that threaten him and the Seekers. His eyes are excellent for seeing things at a far view. His pupils are also more of the size of an eagle’s, and not of a regular cat.
He is also very strong. The average cat can take on another cat and only risk being hurt. Neta can attack two cats at once and escape with minor scratches. He doesn't mind fighting, especially if it meant saving the other seekers' lives.
Actions:
Neta is very intelligent. If you asked him a question, he would probably have the answer. He thinks stuff through thoroughly before making a decision. Sometimes, he could get annoying, but usually, his decisions are good ones.
Neta is also very courageous. If something were to threaten the other seekers, Neta would attack it in a heartbeat, even if it meant giving his life for another seeker. Sometimes, in the heat of battle, Neta won't think, and be seriously injured. Afterwards he will be mad at himself, but forgive himself.
He has a cold side to him too. He puts on a nicey-nice personality, but that's to cover up his cold side. It helps him work with Leolin, though, to keep his leader in check. He is usually the one giving the ideas that seems a little more sane, but he puts it blanly. He won't lie to his leader, and if he thinks a plan is insane, he'll speak up.
He has an unusual ability to be able to see through a she-cat's lies. He knows if a she-cat lies to him, because he can watch her movements. This sometimes scares away she-cats, sometimes makes them like him more, or some just hate him. He can't turn it off, as much as he wants to.
Past:
When Neta was younger, he remembers watching the seekers be destroyed by Baltasar and Aiyetoro. He remembered when all the she-cats were killed. But that was Baltasar and Aiyetoro's history. Here's Neta's history.
When he was born, he looked exactly like Aethelfrith. His parents, Dimoni (Catalan translation for Demon) and Ala (Catalan translation for Wing), raised him well to become the noble deputy he is today.
When he was just a young kit, he remembered watching Aethelfrith, thinking he wanted to be just like her. But then he saw her for what she really was. She had never said anything, but he knew she was lying. She wanted more power, and he was right. She had let the power go to his head, and they all became bloodthirsty. He knew he had to obey her, but he didn't like it. When he was a little older, and ready to serve under Aethelfrith, he was commanded to attack weaker cats and kill them.
Aethelfrith died, and Neta hoped that this was the end of the bloodthirsty act, but he was wrong. Baltasar and Aiyetoro took over, and kept it the same way. To this day, Neta doesn't know, but he and the other toms were ordered to kill all the she-cats. He watched friends die, his siblings die, and his mother died. His father tried to protect her, but was killed because of treachery. Neta is still haunted to this day with screams of all the she-cats.
After some time, he and the rest of the toms left, five others, banded together to kill Baltasar. They succeeded, but felt horrible. They left their lands and their old lives behind, and tried to live while looking for a new home. Leolin took over, taking Neta as his deputy, and Neta is happier now, because it seems peaceful under their leadership.
After a bit, Leolin and Neta decided that they needed she-cats for their group to survive. They had stopped by forest, which held all sorts of cats. Neta knew this was where they could find their she-cats. Now, all that was left was to find the she-cats they wanted.
In Character:
"Baltasar! No!" A cry rang through Neta's mind as he thrashed, trying to throw off the she-cat that he was commanded to kill. Finally, he managed to pin her down. He saw a look of desperation, fear, and pleading in her eyes. But Baltasar's word was law. He made a quick killing of her. When he lifted his bloodshot eyes, he saw that there were many lifeless bodies lying on the ground. With a choke, he saw his mother and father, slain by the cruelty of Baltasar. He staggered forward. "I hope you're happy." He snarled at Baltasar.
He woke with a start. It was the third night in a row that he had dreamt of that. He shook his head. It had happened to so long ago. He needed to forget about it. Neta shook the scraps of grass off his pelt, and blinked his eyes. A harsh sunlight was beaming down on the six toms, and Neta noticed his leader still sleeping. He decided he would hunt. Neta's clever eyes sought out a vole working by the reeds. Neta glided forward, at a speed so fast the vole had no time to think before it died. He turned and dropped it in the pile they had collected last night.
There was good hunting here. He wished they could stay here forever. He got an idea. I'll be back before they wake. Neta glided forward again, not after prey, but to see what was in the forest ahead. He shot into the trees, and slithered up one, watching the ground. He saw a silvery tree-legged cat carrying a lifeless body, and saw her tears falling onto the ground, carving the path she had took. He resisted the temptation to jump down and confront her. He watched her still, noticing how she was well-balanced, even on three legs. After she had disappeared from his view, he leaped down and raced past a scent marker and his in some bracken. There was a clear view across the plains ahead of him, and he watched cats race across the terrain in pursuit of a vole. He grinned. These cats here were used to their terrain. He had to tell Leolin.
He turned and raced away, before the cats could see him, and returned to Leolin. "Leolin, wake up." He meowed into his leader's ear. "I know where we can find she-cats." He could barely hold in his excitement. These cats in this forest could save the seekers!
