Looks:
The head of Rainfall is rather wide although it holds delicate features. His muzzle extends three inches from his face. It is curved slightly and at the tip is a dark shade of gray where his nose is. His ears are somewhat close together but are of ample size. His eyes are a flamboyant, bright blue. His eyes always seem to be at a grand size, as if he is always alert. Rainfall's body volume consists mostly of his fur, which tends to make his body look bulkier than it actually is. He has so much fur, that the majority of his body features are hidden such as his shoulders.
His tail is substantially large, which helps to maintain better balance. By four stubby, however muscular legs, his body is held up. These short legs do not make him a fast runner, but are extremely powerful when in battle. At the end of his legs are two pairs of large but light-weight paws. Although the size and daintiness of his paws don't exactly "match", they allow him to step quietly and come in great use in situations which demand silence. Long and fluffy his pelt is very protective against the harsh cold of fall-leaf. Consisting of many different shades of gray, from the lightest gray possible to medium-dark gray. Because of his young age and long, thick fur, none of his scars, which are mostly minuscule, are visible.
Actions:
Fiercely loyal to his clan, Rainfall is extremely willing to please the cats he respects, which includes the older, more experienced warriors and of course, EclipseClan's current leader, Fernstar. The newly-appointed warrior is quiet and reserved, making him a generally shy and timid cat around his clan mates. However, he is strongly revolted by other clans' members who dare to enter his clan's territory, and will most certainly fight to the death to protect EclipseClan. Rainfall does sometimes switch to another personality, though, where he is sneaky and furtive. He can't help but be a little nosy at times as he has always been a little too curious for his own good. If he is fortunate, he will catch himself eavesdropping another cat's conversation and quickly walk away. But more than often he is caught by the other cat or another clan member who realizes what he is doing and must face the consequences. Yes, Rainfall has quite a lot to learn, but he is a willfull, headstrong, and stubborn young tom. This makes him an unusually fast learner.
Past:
Rainfall's existance would never have been made possible is it weren't for the headstrong, sarcastic, and witty queen called Fogpelt.
Kithood
Fogpelt became pregnant only for the good of the clan. Moons ago, when the clan population was down and warriors were needed desperately, she, being the only fertile she-cat at that point, quickly found a mate and ended up gravid. The father played no part in the kit's life, and this was the usual custom, so Fogpelt didn't care much. Rainkit was born in a litter of three. He stood out against his litter mates because he was the fastest learner. He learned to speak first, he learned the warrior code first, and learned basic cat behavior first. Thus, however cruel this may sound, Rainkit soon became Fogpelt's "favorite". His siblings, two she-kits named Opalkit and Skykit, soon teamed up against him out of jealousy and basically made his kithood a living hell. This made Rainkit almost happy when they suddenly disappeared. Last time Rainkit saw them, they were wandering rebelliously around camp in the middle of the moonhigh while all the queens were asleep, whispering delightfully to themselves.
Apprenticeship
As an apprentice, Rainpaw was undoubtedly the most headstrong out of the group of '-paws', striving to be nothing more than an almighty, powerful warrior. However, his mentor, a young she-cat warrior named Hawkstride, couldn't help but be disappointed at her apprentice. Her fighting and training style was all about speed and flight, and however hard Rainpaw tried, he just wasn't a good runner. All of the questions Hawkstride would ask Rainpaw wouldn't get, and soon enough, they became sour with each other. They're arguments prolonged Rainpaw's apprenticeship. On his tenth moon, when it was decided that his apprenticeship time would have to be elongated, Rainpaw finally buckled down. He began to work harder, running every day all day for training. He had gotten his battle moves and strength down already moons ago, but his running...although his legs were weak in that subject, Rainpaw as well as Hawkstride soon saw improvement, and by the middle of Rainpaw's fifteenth moon, he had received his warrior name.
In Character:
ooc; for his roleplaying example, i'm going to control other unimportant cats just to show what the ambiance was like and to prove exactly how rainfall felt, but i know about powerplaying, and this isn't a usual ic paragraph i would write. (:
Cats all around him yowled their approval, the moon shining down on their pelts, causing their yellow eyes to shine and their pelts to appear slightly silver. The newly named Rainfall basked in his own pride, his eyes closed and his bushy tail curled nearly around his paws. This moment he had been waiting for ever since he was able to walk - no, ever since he was able to think. He let out a dreamy sigh and stood, then walked calmly down the path the EclipseClanners kept open for him amidst the sea of cats, his gray head held up high. The feeling of padding toward the warrior den instead of the apprentice den was absolutely amazing, and a feeling of pure ecstacy rushed through Rainfall's body, making him shiver involuntarily. Cats were still congratulating him. Some just gave him a respectful nod, others smiled and said a quick word or two, but most gave him a quick lick in between his ears and told him that his mother would be proud. His mother. Dead only last moon. He sighed softly. She would be proud, he thought to himself, looking up into the night sky, which was dotted with millions upon millions of tiny white dots. "Hi mom," he mewed softly to himself.
After he made his nest, Rainfall lay down, his eyes droopy with sleepiness. "Night," he called out sleepily. And his blue eyes closed. He dreamed of his mother.
