laurelpaw & beaconsong
She had done it. She had told him. And he had a mate. He wasn't going to help her through this. Laurelpaw had to fight back tears as she trudged back towards the EclipseClan camp. It seemed that the strain of walking for this length of time was aggravating the little lives inside her - for she felt them nudging her from the inside once again. The tortoiseshell shuddered, unable to understand why some cats got so excited about having kits. Laurelpaw sighed. It looked like it was finally time to tell her parents about her predicament, if Prophecyteller hadn't already. But she trusted the young medicine cat. She was tempted to ask him to be with her when she told Fernstar and Beaconsong, but eventually she managed to harden her resolve. She had to do this alone. It was her fault. Laurelpaw padded into the camp, trying not to look as tearful as she felt. The sun was hot and bright overhead, which meant that the camp was crowded. Trying not to stand out too much, Laurelpaw padded to the warriors' den. She poked her head inside. "Um... Dad?" She needed her father before she went to her mother's den.
The skeletal Rex tom had snatched a rare nap in the middle of the day, having already been on the dawn patrol and hunting trips twice. The sandy brown tom found that sleep came easily to him. Ever since Brackenpaw had returned, his mind had been unburdened and untroubled. Beaconsong gave a grunt and a sigh as a nervous little voice broke into his sleep. The thin warrior tom raised his head, blinking his dark yellow eyes blearily. He recognized his daughter, Laurelpaw. "What is it, Laurelpaw?" he mewed, his voice sleepy.
Laurelpaw shuffled her paws. "Umm... I need to tell you and Mum something," she mewed awkwardly, staring down at the grass between her forepaws. "Could... Could you come up to her den with me?" The tortoiseshell and white apprentice was relieved as her father nodded, looking vaguely confused. Turning, the apprentice headed towards her mother's den. Nerves bubbled up inside of her, making her feel sick. She was the leader's daughter... What would the clan think? Laurelpaw halted outside the den, willing herself not to be physically sick as she opened her mouth. "M-Mum? It's Laurelpaw... I... I... I need to tell you something... Can I come in...?"
// Reserved for Fernstar initially. (: Other cats, i.e Branchpaw, or Willowpaw, Cacaopaw and Brackenpaw, came come in later. ^^
