Looks- His fur is scraggly and grey, his eyes dim, and his bones creak. To sum it all up in one word Batface is old. Its nothing to be ashamed about, but Batface screams, 'unhappy.' His posture, the furrow of his brow and the look in his eyes is like a wounded old dog being beaten and not able to take it after so many years of torment. Batface has amber-going-on-red eyes that look dusty and dim, he cannot see too far before him; Batface also jumps every time a cat comes at him from the right side. His senses have dulled with time and over exertion.
The fur covering the sack of bones that moan and groan about too much work is a dark color between grey, brown and black--or at least it used to be. Batface is now more silver then any of those colors and very ashamed of of it. As if he didn't already have bad senses, brittle claws and yellowed, cracked teeth, his fur is like a blazing neon sign proclaiming, 'I'm old.' The Senior Warrior is ashamed of his looks and often goes out only in the dead of night and pre-dawn hours to catch food for his clan mates who go out in the early morning.
Pitiful little quirks, his claws break easily and it pains him so much he can barely manage not to yell aloud every time one snaps. Batface imagines the snap of bones would hurt just as much although hes really just a wussy who doesn't know enough pain any more now that his youth has come to a rapid end. A big, burly cat Batface is known as an amazing old fighter. Batface used up his pool of strength to fast and has become an Elder before his time.
One of the only things shockingly similar about the Batface of know and the Batkit of yesteryear is his huge, bat-like ears. Seriously you could fit your hand in his ear, they are huge and Batface has lost some of his ability to hear but that is his best sense still, he used to be said to be able to hear all the way to BrightClan with those big satellites. This paired with his beady red eyes and dark coloring were the reasons Batpaw became Batface.
Attitude- Batface is a Senior Warrior whose bravado soon wore off as his pelt dulled, lost its luster and he wasted all his youthful energy. Never known to be smart or helpful Batface soon earned the credits of, 'Handsome and Strong,' period. Nothing else seems to bubble beneath his ragged pelt, his mind is pure instinct and nothing else for Batface is a very dumb old brute.
He's kind enough, Batface's subconsciousness knows enough to whisper into his ear kind sugar-coated, honey-glazed words that are sure to win a she-cats heart and a toms approval. He's not clever and often knows nothing about what hes telling you, only that he's heard it before and it sounded cool sophisticated. The tom sees life as a step by step plan that doesn't have any alternatives, if it were to fail then he might go insane, life was from kit, to apprentice, warrior, elder, then StarClan. There is nothing but StarClan and their rule. He's a great form of portable-cat propaganda!
He's a washed out, old has-been, fighting machine, who used to scream words like, 'macho, strong, tough, bold, etc.' As time went on and he lost his strength the guy became a Clan version of a D Lister at a Hollywood party, not really excluded but frowned upon and laughed at. He thankfully hasn't realized the real warriors that, 'matter,' roll their eyes at his antics.
Not exactly the most charitable cat in the world Batface is still corely a strong believer in right and wrong and would help any Clanmate out if they needed him. Batface doesn't have a temper but he isn't a smooth, calm cat. Expressive is a good way to describe him when it comes to feelings, he isn't very afraid to let even the fiercest, best cat know what he thinks-- good or bad.
Definitely the shallowest tom-cat in the Clan, some muse he would have made a good gossiping old queen but although he flirts a lot, Batface was never one to settle down and have a family. He always thought he would stay young and good looking forever and now theres nothing left to him, the poor cat is like a peanut thats insides were eaten and now a shell of what used to be a tasty not is all that is left.
History- He was born, raised and will die in SerenityClan. Batface always saw his life divided into 5 paragraphs/sentences.
Before he was born... his mother was sick and weak, if not for his strong papa's genes the it's within Morningdew might have been lost as she slowly unraveled and died. Coyotebreath, his father mourned his mate before she could even die.
Kithood was fine for Batface, he grew up in a time where kit's were allowed more freedoms under his leaders rule. This all changed rapidly when one day the still alive Morningdew took her kits outside, Batkit, Nutkit, and Seakit laughed and played but then it got... serious, Seakit taunted the only girl of the three, Nutkit and dared her to go into the woods. She was a stubborn, strong young kit and did, a storm started and Nutkit was never found. Morningdew became very quite and was moved in with the Elders as she rapidly grew sicker and sicker. Morningdew never spoke and left Coyotebreath to raise his two tom-kits.
Apprenticeship passed quickly for Batpaw as he grew into a fine, skilled young fighter and soon left everybody in the dust--including Seapaw, Seapaw was a snappy and selfish tom who hated life in general, one day he attempted to kill a fellow apprentice and fled the scene. The apprentice grew close to Batpaw and he protected her fiercely. Most everybody watched the two and thought they would become mates but they didn't, Batpaw still flirted with every she-cat in the Clan and the girl, Turqoiusepaw grew up to be a Queen for her whole life after getting pregnant at 13 moons and staying in the Nursery ever after, supplying her Clan with many kits.
Warriorhood was the glory days for Batface as he fought his way to the top, he was thought to become a leader one day but a medicine cat of those days warned the new leader Batface was to crazy and stupid to have such powers as being a Deputy. Ever after he hated medicine cats and Batface began to be meaner and meaner, a dark cloud in the sunny skies of a peaceful time. These are among Coyotebreath's last moons although him and Batface were never that close after Morningdew died (shortly after Seapaw went insane)
Seniority is when a cats opinion is respected as an elderly warrior with much wisdom but Batface had neither wisdom or respect. he was know as a dumb barbarian and when he lost his strength... there is no shining light for Batface to follow and emerge into a new life that is better and happier than he was when he fought for blood lust and pride. Batface is doomed to be old until StarClan takes him.
