The minty green eyes narrowed as her delicate dark gray paw sank into the squelching mud. She gave a mock gag as she drew it out, shaking it with her eyes closed and her head held away witht he intention to relieve it of the filth. Sadly, it didn't go her way. He huffed haughtily, straightening herself up and looking angrily towards the gloomily gray sky. Cloverpaw grimaced and swore under her breath. Sure the rain was nice and all, marking the presence of early spring, but the muck and the gloom and the drabness of the day seemed to outweigh the upsides by far.
The tortoiseshell she-cat sat at the edge of the lake, staring at her reflection. Her thoughts went from her usual spunk and sass to deep emotions. Cloverpaw realized exactly how lonely she was. She would play with the kits a lot, but that wasn't it. She wanted a friend her age. She was already nearing her warrior ceremony and she didn't even have a crush, and it didn't seem that anyone really liked her. A sigh escaped her throat. The apprentice looked up to the sky, where clouds were starting to turn white and the sky was becoming bluer. Oh StarClan... She prayed desperately for that perfect tom to show up, sometime soon.
"Oh, please letta be soon..."
// open. PLEASE. I NEED AN EXCUSE TO RP HER BECAUSE RAIN NEVER COMES ON. o-o[/blockquote]

ooc: whoot it's open. c:thunderthorn. He wasn't watching where he was going. The places he put his paws mattered, but they didn't. He was hunting, but not for prey. His mind swam like too many fish in a too-small pond. The gathering had been many sunrises ago, but the words still rang out in his head as if they had been whispered to him while he slept... They might as well have been, because when he dreamed they were all he dreamed about.
Yewchime is pregnant.
The better side of him knew that he shouldn't beleive the gossiping apprentices he'd heard that from. But she was still a queen - he knew that much - and the worst seemed to be coming true during these times. He couldn't afford to be optimistic, lest his heart be broken again. He had convinced himself she didn't matter moons ago, but he still thought about her every waking moment now that she could have been with another tom. Jealousy? Most definately. He felt like he'd have to tether himself to the ground to keep him from rushing EclipseClan territory just to find out what really happened.
Suddenly, his eyes came into focus and he saw Cloverpaw. Steering himself away from her and into a root, he tripped over himself and landed in the mud. So much rain was coming down lately that it was hard not to get muddy. His mouth seemed to have permenantly aquired an earthy taste to it from licking off the mud. He glanced up and Cloverpaw, shook his head - little drops of mud flying everywhere - and murmured, "Sorry. I wasn't paying attention..." [/blockquote]

Cloverpaw immediately became her usual self when cat scent hit her nose, haughty like she was around others. Her head jerked up as she heard the thud behind her. The tortoiseshell wheeled around, spotting Thunder...Thunder...what was his name again? Eh. She visibly relaxed after the little startle, but she felt slightly disappointed. He never seemed interested in love. Perhaps he had one and she wasn't aware? Oh well. The tom she was looking for would turn up sometime, or at least she hoped. Shrugging it off, she stepped over to the tom. "Naw, dat's okay." she mewed, trying to keep herself under control. The mud splattered over her face, her well-groomed pelt. "Ugh." Cloverpaw rolled her eyes, trying to lick off some of the mud on her silky fur. "Be ca'ful, hun," the she-cat muttered.
"Ya'll're Thundah...Thundahtho'n, raight?"[/blockquote]

thunderthorn."Sorry," he muttered again, washing off his ears with a paw. He glanced up at the apprentice, and nodded in response to his name. "Yeah. And you're Cloverpaw..." he thought about saying more, but instead he just went back to combing the mud out of his fur. After a few heartbeats of going nowhere, he gave up and sat straight, facing Cloverpaw. He was surprised the pretty young apprentice didn't have anyone with her, especially not just a friend. Thinking back, he realized how many warriors might of thought the same about Thunderthorn himself. He snickered. She probably hadn't been in love with a cat from another Clan like he had, though.
"Uh, the weather's been bad," he meowed, glancing through the trees at the downpour. "The others seem to think it's a blessing, but it's really just annoying. I can't even get to the border... for, uh, border patrols." He sighed. He wasn't exactly in the mood to talk about the weather, but he supposed the polite thing to do was to accompany her for now wherever she may be going. "You seem kind of... lonely. What's the matter, anyway?" [/blockquote]
