river 'Only five moons old, still a kit by all terms, and out, alone by myself!' the voice in her head chirped proudly, her gray and white head shifting so she could look around better, her pale blue pools searching with ease through out ever corner. She figured she be hungry for awhile, until she finally learned the best method for killing prey (her useless kittypet mom never taught her anything good), but that was fine. She was chubby from being a kittypet for the greater four moons of her life, and she figured she could use that layer of blubber to her advantage, though it wasn't much, it was better than being deathly thin. She was mildly proud of herself with the decision to become a loner, though it seemed easier at first - easier said than done.
"Is anyone there?" her compact body shivered as her quiet voice rose like a birds twitter, her paws searching desperately for another, bug-free pawhold in the ground before she gave up this silly habit and pranced freely in circles, wondering if she was imagining that rustling of bushes or if it was a cat. She wouldn't mind being with wild cats - like her new and improved self - or even just one other, two is better than one after all. The gullible kit sighed, bored already, though she heard and scented something new. It was a tangy smell, almost as if her insides were battling if it was fresh or bitter, sweet or sour.
It took her all the way until she could see the thin stream of raging waters that she realized it was water, though as she ventured closer she was deeply confused if she should drink it or not. From the bare paw prints not much cats came out here, and that might mean the water was no good, and she'd get sick! Oh how terrible it would be to get sick all alone out here. She was starting to wish for strong guidance, an seasoned nice cat to show her the loops and swings of being a wild cat.

=Night=
A lone cat with fur black as night and only three legs sulked through the bushes as he watched the kit walking towards the stream with his his bright yellow eyes. His tail had brushed up against a bush by accident and for a moment he thought that he would be discovered but he watched the kit move on after pausing to ask who was there. He slowly and stealthily snuck though the underbrush until they reached the river and watched as the kit peered down at the water.
He finally got to take in her plump frame and could tell that she must be a former kittypet like himself. She was small, though and that told him that she must be young, no more then a kit who decided to wander off on her own and live her own life. Just like himself she would be an outcast among the other rogues and loners, and because she was so young she might not know right from wrong just yet. At first he wondered why he should really care, but he realized that having someone by his side could help. At times his single hind leg pained him, though it was stronger then it was moons ago, and she would be no match against another rogue if she crossed paths with the wrong one. He was lucky a few moons ago when he crossed paths with Quetzal.
Since then he had been on his own, avoid battle at all cost knowing he would be no match against a strong rogue who enjoyed beating up a weaker prey. Finally he decided to push out of the bushes and find out about this young cat who he happened to cross paths with. "The water is safe to drink." He announced, hoping she wouldn't be too frightened about his thin frame and three legs.

river Gullible and trusting as a kit perfectly defined the angelic, adorable River as she simply heard a voice behind her telling her the water was fine, so she shrugged and bent down to drink it. He sounded trustable. Albeit she never found anything or anyone she didn't exactly trust, she believed this must be true and drank the water at whatever the cost. It tasted much unlike her water at her kittypet den, without the sharp metallic after taste, so she continued drinking more before she turned around to view the other loner, Night, behind her, leaving her unswallowed water dripping out of her mouth in astonishment before she caught herself and swallowed it hastily. The five moon kit had yet to see the true horrors of being a loner, or even the horrors of life! She had a lot to experience in the rest of her growing up.
"Hi" her quiet, bird like voice seemed to almost want to stutter and bend in shock, but the she kit knew this would be beyond the rudeness she had shown to this nice, mutated tom and he was only trying to help, not to scare her with his pitiful three legs. Perhaps he only wanted her help. Her pale blue eyes blinked this thought away and she, in her perfect usual mind, suddenly thought that he was only trying to help her, not the other way around. Her gaze now danced its usual respectful way as she tried to clear her wrong, unusual thoughts as she blinked once more at the loner. "Thanks" she felt lost for words, so her gray and white, compact tabby head looked around nervously.

=Night=
Most loners might have attacked the young cat for looking at them that way, but the black tom merely chuckled, not because he thought it was funny, but to try and calm her into seeing that he wasn't offended by her stare. He saw her think over everything and watched as respect filled her eyes. His yellow gaze traveled over her once more before he replied to him. "My names Night, one of the few kind loners around here."
His got serious as he looked around to see if there were any others around, but so far he didn't smell any of the other loners and rogues that roamed this part of the land. He slowed padded a few feet closer to her then stopped before sitting down on his remaining hind leg. He then uselessly licked his chest fur, though it did little good to his dull fur. "What's a kit like you doing around here? You smell like a kittypet."

// Sorry if i kinda butted in >.<
// Lonelykit walked by the side of Ice. She had been looking for somewhere to hunt for at least 2 days now. Both the loners were hungery, but Ice needed help hunting still. THe small she-cat heard to cats ahead of them talking by the stream. She told Ice to stay hidden in the bushes. The white tom obeyed the small cat and got low to the groune. Making sure that he was hidden and that no cat could see him. Lonelykit knew that she had been sleeping in the dirt for so long that she knew her scent was hidden. She walked up behind the cat that was named Night. 'Hello, what are you two doing out here all alone? And why do you reek of kittypet?!?' Lonelykit asked in a cold voice, but it wasn't all cold. She didn't want to scare them to badly, she just wanted to be answered for once in her life. As Ice sat in the bush listenign to Lonelykit his fur stood up when she demanded the kittypets smell. A low hiss escaped from his throat. For he once used to be a kittypet too. 'Lonelykit leave that cat alone! You know well that I was once a kittypet too!' Ice wanted to keep his friend from doing anything stupid.[/sup]

Kiyuki
A quiet little girl In her lonely little world One, two. Two cats. That would be somewhat tough to take on, wouldn't it? It's not like she could reason with them. Her wretched disability condemned her from doing such. The she-cat perked her ears, trying to pick up their tones and get an idea of how dangerous they were. Of course, one was a mere kit. She wouldn't be a threat, hopefully. The other was a tripod, which may reduce the possibility of a fight, but you could never be too sure. The loner managed to pick up a few words. ...Night, one of the few kind loners..." A kind loner? Kiyuki hadn't come across someone like that in a while. She was almost positive that she was the only one. Nonetheless, she knew she wasn't fit for Clan life. After a thoughtful decision, Kiyuki strode forth to meet the two. She cringed as another cat appeared on the scene, voice cold. The she-cat sidestepped, then backstepped, flashing a surveying glance upon all the cats in the clearing. Night, the black tripod. Then there was the little she-kit, and the hostile female. She spotted the other tom, hiding among the decaying shrubs, apparently trying to stay disguised. Though not by much, her disability allowed her sense of scent to be enhanced. She knew he was there all along. Hoping they wouldn't spot her, she slunk back into her original hiding spot, cracking a twig at her first step. With a wince and a silent sigh, she looked up innocently, formulating a getaway. [ooc]:// If this isn't exactly the right time, I can delete the post... ^^;[/blockquote]

river She took in her surroundings carefully, not really caring, assuming that because she was just a kit she would be exempt from all pain and harm. No one would hurt a kit, after all. She knew she'd have to learn to fight though, she was nearly past her kit moons, nearly six moons, and perhaps Night could teach her despite being... a loner with a missing leg. Her gray and white compact, somewhat tabby body moved into a delicate sitting position before she studied the newcomers, Lonelykit first, the she cat who appeared behind Night, and she could scent another she cat behind Lonelykit - Ice. "The kittypet... did you say? Scent, is me" her voice piped up, river blue eyes bright despite her quiet, bird song voice. She suddenly became aware of what she said to this stranger cat, and became abash, head swinging away and tail curling around her paws, finding its way into a comfortable position.
Suddenly, a branch snapped from a loner whom she may soon know as Kiyuki, and her head darted toward the place she thought she heard it, though in reality she was far off. Assuming she was just imagining things to take her mind of the she cat behind Night, and the cat behind her, she attempted to smile at the tom but it came out messy and afraid. "I'm River..." her quiet voice spoke normally, nearly silently, though like a song.

=Night=
Night whipped around to face Lonelykit and Ice. He narrowed his eyes towards the two feeling like the area was getting to crowded for his taste but he betrayed nothing outwardly. Loners and rogue never do that, its like there own law, never betray your feeling. His ears swiveled to River as he heard her settling down to a comfortable sitting position. Inwardly he sighed, knowing that this kit had a lot to learn. Though she was young, other mean loners would never hold back and even attacker her without reason, and for that, he knew that he couldn't leave her out on her own, though in truth he despised Kittypets.. "What are we doing out alone?" He echoed. "That what loners do, we roam around on our own. What are we, Clan cats?"
He suddenly heard the twig snap around turned towards the sound. "Who's there?" He almost yowled, losing his patience over all the cats that have been showing up.
Ooc:// Your fine, Shard =3 I just realized that he going to attach to Kiyuki pretty well cause she'll remind him of his dreams. His mother often comes to him in dreams, but she never talks cause he doesn't remember her.

Kiyuki
A quiet little girl In her lonely little world A silent sigh escaped from her mouth. Kiyuki padded forth, further examining the other cats. The tripod had truly caught her eye. His eyes, a soft and welcoming yellow, shone with his alarm at the twig's crack. They seemed to draw her in closer. Giving into the temptation, she took a step forward, then another. His ebony fur was dusty and dull, yet there was a bit of sheen to it. Yes, it was there all right. The glimmer began to move, forming some sort of shape. The moment it completed itself, it vanished, and the tom's pelt was solid and unshining once more. The she-cat pursed her lips in slight frustration, then looked up to identify the other. She was sure she'd never had a run-in with any of these cats. Good, she'd have a fresh start. Kiyuki dipped her head politely, prohibited from an auditorial greeting. She then began to formulate exactly how to introduce herself. If you were mute, you didn't have any family with you, and your name was not normal, but a word in a different language, how would you say your name?[/blockquote]

river The she kit peered questionably at Lonelykit and Ice, listening quietly as Night replied to them better than she ever could. She wished he'd help her out for awhile, but she figured being the brave loner he appeared to be (and she trusted him to be) he wouldn't take in a measly, mere kit like her. She would be useful soon, though! She tried to think optimistically, seeing that soon she would be six moons and old enough to start hunting and helping him against the evil rogues. Her ears moved flat against her head as the bushes rustled again, and she moved from her comfortable sitting position, to a frightened, kit crouch, of a young one attempting to protect themselves.
"Awaah!" she yelped frighteningly, pale blue eyes squeezing shut as she attempted to hide herself from the cat that was appearing to come closer and closer, fur appearing and leaving from in between the bushes, and she didn't want to be killed. She was so young! The rustling stopped, and assuming the cat moved on, seeing only a tripod, kit, and two cats who appeared to be doing nothing, left. Thank goodness! One eye opened, then the other, and she yelped again this time, seeing Kiyuki standing there in front of her. She sighed, wanting to shrink in the spot, her gaze shifting nervously on the mainly white pelted she cat - though from her view, of just her front, looking crystalline white. How did she know where she went? How did she knew she left? "Mother?" her mew came confused, one of a kit who was parted from her mother too early in life, almost dazed, certainly frightened. Would she be punished for leaving her house folk? She didn't know her mother well, maybe her mother didn't like her house folk either... maybe she came to live with her!
ooc; In urge to confuse things farther xD

The coal black tom looked Kiyuki up and down as she left the bushes behind her. He dipped his head in return to the mute fae, though he was unaware of her speech problem. At first he thought she was being rude, standing there without introduction, then he started thinking that she maybe shy, used to being out on her own or something. He was about to say something when River started screeching and ask Kiyuki if she was her mother. "Mother?" He echoed, bewildered at the thought that this young looking cat would be River's mother.

Kiyuki
A quiet little girl In her lonely little world The fae's gleaming eyes shot wide with confusion. Her brow furrowed and she shook her head vigoruosly in absolute disagreement. She was no mother! After all, she never found a mate, and she wasn't...like that. Kiyuki shook her head once more, but lightly this time. This cat was obviously a kittypet at some point, and the older femme had never been such. [ooc]:// Eh, not my best post...[/blockquote]

river Her gray and white fur bunched around her compact body in a particularly kit-like blur, her river blue eyes blinking questionably at Night as he echoed her exact words, and a deep breath escaped her muzzle as he seemed bewildered by this, completely lost, but something in her stomach churned and made her think she was wrong, and since she hadn't exactly discovered how gullible she truly was, she could only peer at Kiyuki in hope and disbelief that this could be her mother.
She disagreed - and since she didn't know how to feel, not knowing her mother too well - a quiet moan was all the escaped her previously quiet frame, leaving her blinking as wide as the other she cat, quite and bit ashamed, her tail swinging around her small body for comfort. "Oh... well, that's alright" her eyes narrowed as she told this half truth, "I never really knew my mother anyways" she finally admitted, "so, what are you called?" she realized slowly she never introduced herself.

The coal black tom let out a faint hiss of annoyance, but no matter how much he wanted to, he would never leave a young, gullible kit out on her own in an area like this. Yet he almost half hoped that Kiyuki would have said that she was. Said. He just realized that she hadn't said anything and started to figure out that it was more then just her being shy. He looked at her closely, examining her through mere slits. "Can you talk at all?"

Kiyuki
A quiet little girl In her lonely little world She smiled sympathetically at the kitten's realization. No, Kiyuki could never be a mother at her age. And she likely never would be, for her disability sometimes annoyed those whom were uninformed. She bit her lip when River inquired about her name, and looked at her paws when Night had pulled apart the truth. She looked up and shook her head slowly and solemnly. How she hated her wretched comdemnation, as it presented such awkward situations as this. She whipped her head around as she detected another rustle in the bushes. Out emerged a beautiful silver tabby she-cat, much larger than she. There was something familiar about the other loner, but she just couldn't place it. Apparently, the other did. "Kiyuki!" the she-cat cried, dashing up and nuzzling her in the side. The mute loner was puzzled at first, but then it hit her. This stranger was her foster mother. Kiyuki touched noses with the other, then looked at the others, somewhat embarrassed by the sudden public reunion. The silver tabby beside her seemed to feel the same way. "Oh, um, hi. I'm Kiyuki's foster mother," she mewed, grinning sheepishly before murmuring a good-bye to the white-and-cream she-cat. "I'm glad to see that you're fending well. Take care, little one." The older one then exited the scene, leaving Kiyuki there gazing shyly at the others. [ooc]:// Sorry, this was really strange. oo;[/blockquote]

river The innocent enough kitten smiled merrily at the new she cat that bounded into the scene, exclaimed something to the other she cat that apparently couldn't talk, and then left. It took her a few processing seconds to realize what happened, what she exclaimed. To be truthful, she wasn't listening, her pale blue eyes just staring into space and her small, five moon bodice full of white and gray fur in a tabby-like pattern and was cleaning out her pale, baby pink paw pad thoroughly as she attempted to remove a small particle of grass. 'Kiyuki!' she remembered the cat exclaim, and it hit her rather suddenly. Perhaps this was the name of her, the name she couldn't say (not that she could say anything, after all). "Kiyuki..." she spoke rather randomly, a angelic smile gracing her face as she looked up to the fellow loner whom she once thought was her mother. "Is that your name?" she said cheerily, her voice ringing joyously despite the 'acid' stream running behind her.

Ooc:// XD That was strange Bic:// =Night=
The black, tripod loner gave an awkward stare as the new cat came and left before anyone could mew another word. He blinked slowly before replying to the newly named 'Kiyuki'. He looked her up and down, from her head to the tip of her tail. She was an attractive cat, white fur with creamy markings. But he quickly banished the thought of a mate, any mate for that matter. His fur was always dull, always looking like a lump of twoleg coal with three legs, he didn't even want to think about the missing limb. Why would anyone ever go for him. He quickly cleared his mind and looked up at her again. "My names Night, unless you've already caught that."

how 'bout a round of aplause.... a standing ovation but you put on quit a show Poison really had me going but now it's time to go, curtains finally closing A clever pair toxic green orbs shone through a blood-scented shadow, the femme's sandy tan fur ruffled as a slight breeze passed through the shadow. The femme's black paws were drenched in blood as well as her muzzle, she licked most of the blood from her muzzle and paws before stepping out of the shadows. The tall, thin femme made horror show in her toxic green irises, she was itching to take the kit away from the group so she can have some fun. Her evil mind raced with the possibilities of running into Reconcile or Strom but she doubted that they would even want to go near a group of cats, the loner Night even looked uncomfortable about the group. "Little kit, why are you hanging around these horrible loners? I suggest you come with me if you want to keep your fur." Poison made her lusting voice soft and gentle, she would do anything to keep her reputation of being the nasty rogue the clanners knew her of, she wanted the same with the loners and kittypets. "What were you thinking of doing to this poor kit, Night, when this group breaks apart?" Poison's deadly irises shot towards Lonelykit and Ice, if she didn't convince River that all these cats were evil her cover would be blown for sure.

Kiyuki
A quiet little girl In her lonely little world Kiykuki was still blushing from the embarrassment. How awkward that had been! And right in front of all of these cats. What caused her the most angst was the fact that the tripod caught it. She wasn't sure what drew her to him, but there was something about him... What it was, she did not know, but she intended to find out at some point. As for now, she would be patient, and hang around him for a while. The mute she-cat nodded in response to River. Yes, she was indeed Kiyuki. Then she detected the tom's voice. Night... Her paws tingled with happiness. She didn't plan to leave him for a long time... Maybe she could manage to make a friend and keep one for once! How nice that would be! A flicker of...something in his eyes caused her to take in bountiful glee. She wasn't even sure what it was, but it made her happy. And then yet another cat entered the scene. She'd heard of this one before, the one with the poisonous eyes. She wasn't sure of her name, but she knew she was evil. A hiss escaped her throat the instant she commented on Night. He wouldn't just abandon her! The thought was easy to read through her body language. How dare this cat insult her friend, implying that he would leave a helpless kit on her own to die! Nonsense. Kiyuki would have none of it.[/blockquote]
