Ticketyboo Chasing the unknown trail is my idea of a good time... A massive, pale ginger fluffball pounded along at a leisurely pace, beside the acid stream. The enormous cat wrinkled his nose. It stank. He was used to unpleasant experiences during his travels, and unpleasant smells too, but this... This reeked. Ticketyboo, or Tickety The Traveller, as he liked to be called, was, as his name suggested, travelling. Where to? No one knew, not even himself. He sniffed at the stream once more, before continuing on his way, casually bursting into song. "Oh as I past a churning river, The water flowing fast from me, I noticed a terrible unpleasant smell, That could send the demons back down to hell!"

ooc|| this was open, right?[/blockquote] i'm a cowboy on a steel horse i ride i'm wanted dead or alive
[/s] [/blockquote] The pale brown tabby padded down towards the stream, his short fur fluffed up against the biting cold. His pale green eyes were narrowed with hostality as the tom looked around. His slim paws took careful steps towards the stream as he opened his mouth to scent for prey. No prey scents jumped out at him, but there was certaintly a whiff of cat. Pioneer froze before carefully turning around. There was a fluffy tom there, eagerly sniffing the river. Pioneer sceneted again just to make sure, but the acrid stench of the river masked the tom's scent. Pioneer sighed, padding up behind the tom. He was just about to question the fluffball when it burst into a delirious song.
Pioneer couldn't help himself. "Oh, shut it. The world's harsh enough without your singing," he spat angrily, stalking up to stand beside the tom. His neck fur was fluffed up ominously as he glared down at the gingersnap cat. "Hell doesn't exist, anyways. The only place you'll find it is here on this earth," Pioneer wasn't feeling overly optimistic today. Not that he ever felt optimistic. [/blockquote]

Ticketyboo Chasing the unknown trail is my idea of a good time... Ticketyboo stopped mid-song and spun, surprisingly quickly for his size, to face Pioneer. "Well I never! Someone woke up on the wrong side of the nest! Is it such a crime to try and be a jolly fellow, rather than a grump?" The giant cat rumbled, frowning at the tom. How dare he?! Tickety was just passing through, all peacefully, but this cat had to have a go at him anyway.
(OOC: Yeah, I forgot to say it was XD sorry for the tiny post -_-')

ooc|| Pion's so cynical and Tickety's so cheerful XD they're gonna get along perfectly <3[/blockquote] i'm a cowboy on a steel horse i ride i'm wanted dead or alive
[/s] [/blockquote] Pioneer's neck fur fluffed up ominously as the giant cat turned around to peer down at him. The pale brown loner wasn't scared though, he knew he could move faster than this cat. Besides, Pioneer had had warrior training. He would be fine. Rolling his eyes, the brown tom plopped down on his haunches. He wasn't very keen on having convesations, but there seemed to be nothing better to do so he attempted one anyways. It didn't look like it was going to be easy, though. This tom was all cheerful and huffy, while Pioneer was just going with how he usually felt- faithless.
"Is there a reason to be a 'jolly fellow'?" Pioneer asked mockingly, digging his claws into the ground. He was going to smell like acid and furball for days now. "Anyways, what's your excuse to be out here? This stream doesn't seem like a place for a cat to live. Besides, I'm not a grump. I'm just being truthful. The world's mouse brained." [/blockquote]

Ticketyboo Chasing the unknown trail is my idea of a good time... The huge fluffball sat down with a loud thump. "Does there need to be a reason to be a jolly fellow? I just am." He meowed deeply. He would at least try to have a conversation with this cat, despite his first impression of him. He was far too warm-hearted to shut the tom out completely. "I'm just passing through, I don't live here. The world's mouse-brained? I guess some of it is." The fluffy ginger cat tilted his head. He didn'y even know this cat's name. "I'm Ticketyboo, but most call me Tickety The Traveller. You may have heard of me." He meowed.

[/s] [/blockquote] Pioneer watched the large ginger tom, amusement evident in his eyes. There was just something about the fluffy tom that was so comical Pioneer couldn't shake it off. He recoiled slightly as the walking furball plopped down, shaking the ground somewhat. Pioneer licked his shoulder nonchalantly before scrutinizing the ginger tom carefully with his pale green eyes. He didn't understand how this could have such a pleasent outlook on life. It was confusing. Then again, the ginger tom probably hadn't been through what Pioneer had. Your mother replacing your father with another tom, falling in love with your step-sister. Those things would haunt Pioneer for the rest of his life, and he hated that.
"Well then, ginger, you're messed up," scoffed Pioneer, though there was a good-natured gleam in his grass-coloured eyes. "At least you aren't mouse-brained enough to live here. That's something then, ginger," the tom was slightly disappointed when Tickety told him his name. Shaking his head curtly, Pioneer replied. "Never heard of you, Tickety the Traveller. Then again, I haven't been travelling that long. They call me Pioneer. I've been wandering for a bit. I used to belong to one of those cat Clans." [/blockquote]

Ticketyboo Chasing the unknown trail is my idea of a good time... Ticketyboo didn't seem to notice that Pioneer was calling him Ginger, and nodded and smiled at the tom as he spoke. "Yep, I accidently intruded on one of those clans' territory recently. Oops. They weren't very happy with me about it." Tickety straightened up slightly, then slouched again with a soft humph. "Well, I'm sure you will be surprised to here that I was once a kittypet. If only for a few moons of my life. I ran away. They tried to give me and my siblings to other twolegs, and I wasn't happy about that. So I have been travelling since I was a kit." The fluffy cat looked quite proud about this.

[/blockquote] i'm a cowboy on a steel horse i ride i'm wanted dead or alive
[/s] [/blockquote] Pioneer looked the large ginger furball up and down, blinking in amusement. He scuffed his brown paws against the dirt, a smirk in his voice as he mewed. "You were once a kittypet? Huh. You musta had a badger-sized mum then, ginger. Truth is, I can't see you as a kittypet, though you're good-natured enough for it. I doubt I could ever be a kittypet. That disgusting slop- I'd rather be out here alone than with Twolegs. I guess you felt the same, eh? We're more alike than I thought, Tickety the Traveller."
Pioneer's voice was mocking, but there was a gleam of amusement in his eyes as he looked up at the tom. Most of the other loners were too tired or grump to actually talk. As cynical as Pioneer looked from the outside, he had no trouble with conversations. Arguements with giant ginger cats who thought the world was a happy place were just what the pale brown tabby needed to perk up his day. He liked a paw casually, swiping it over his muzzle and watching Tickety with pale green eyes. "I wish my life had been like yours. My father died when I was an apprentice, and my mum replaced him with a cat from another Clan. They had more kits, and I fell in love with my half-sister," chuckled Pioneer blackly. "So where are you off to then, ginger?" [/blockquote]

Ticketyboo Chasing the unknown trail is my idea of a good time... Ticketyboo chuckled at Pioneer's comment. "Funny, I wasn't that much bigger than a normal kit when I was born, really. Ok, well I was pretty big. The twolegs made fun of me because I was a giant compared to my brothers and sisters." He meowed. "And yes, there was no way I was staying a kittypet. I needed to get out. I wanted to see the world!" He grinned at Pioneer.
The hairball's face fell as Pioneer told him of his past. "Oh, Pioneer, I'm sorry." He meowed honestly, looking at his huge paws, or, really, the place they should have been, but were covered by his long fur. He looked up again at the tom's question. "Hmm, good question. I don't really know. I haven't been around here before, so I'm just wandering really." He replied.

[/blockquote] i'm a cowboy on a steel horse i ride i'm wanted dead or alive
[/s] [/blockquote] Pioneer lashed his tail through the air, flicking his ears and whiskers in cynical amusement as Ticketyboo rumbled on. It was the first time in awhile that the pale brown tabby had been interested in listening to another cat. His thoughts were usually far away on a certain beige she-cat, thinking of her while his mind shamed him and told him it was all wrong. But try as he might, Pioneer just couldn't get over her. The tom dug his long claws in the ground. "Giant kit, ginger," he chuckled under his breath. As calm and collected as he was, Pioneer felt a part of him snap as Tickety apologized for Pioneer's harsh life. The tom sprang to his feet, long tail lashing through the air and green eyes burning. "Don't apologize for something you know nothing about, ginger. Don't even try to understand how painful it was going through every day with the she-cat I loved beside me when I could never had her. You've had it pretty easy."
The tom calmed down, looking at the ground with apology bright in his eyes. "No, Tickety the traveller, don't apologize."
"Going nowhere? That's pretty much my life in a nutshell. Guess I might travel with you for a little. I don't have anywhere to go either. Just as long as I'm not headed backwards." [/blockquote]

spectre Her small white paws patted the grass as she trotted from her cave. Her long, slim tail waved cheerfully from side to side as she peered left and right. She had already hunted this morning, and now she had time for herself. Spectre stretched her small, slight body. She pricked her small ears as she heard voices. The sounds took her towards the Acid Stream, where she caught sight of two cats. One was a flame-coloured furball, the other a more ordinary sized tom. The white she-cat approached them, raising her tail politely. Her wide, clear blue eyes passed neatly from cat to cat. "Hello," she mewed. "I haven't seen either of you around here. Are you new here?" The she-cat smiled to show the two tom's that she was being friendly, not trying to interrogate them.

[/blockquote] i'm a cowboy on a steel horse i ride i'm wanted dead or alive
[/s] [/blockquote] Pioneer sat still, waiting for Tickety's response. He drew a paw over his head, flattening down a few errant locks of sandy fur. He tossed his head slightly, digging his claws into the ground. His eyes searched around him as the tom hummed, bored, under his breath. He opened his mouth to prod the giant fluffball, but a new scent infiltrated his mouth. Pioneer paused and turned to see a lithe she-cat padding towards him. He dipped his head in acknowledgement, but he sighed internally. He wasn't really that keen on she-cats at the moment. Well, he was always keen on she-cats, to distract him from Paprikaleaf, but now was a time for him to relax in the prescence of another tom. She-cats always complicated things. "Hey," he mewed flatly. "Haven't seen you around either. I'm Pioneer. The thing over there is Tickety the Traveller. His name might explain why you haven't seen him before. We're loners, we travel."
The tone of his voice was flat and harsher than usual as sarcasm leaked into his words. He sighed and stayed seated, watching the she-cat with steely green eyes. [/blockquote]

Ticketyboo Chasing the unknown trail is my idea of a good time... The enormous cat nodded slowly. It might be nice to have some company during his travels. Even if this cat didn't appreciate his singing. "You are welcome to join me, if you wish." He meowed.
The giant cat looked up as he heard pawsteps. He grinned widely at the snowy she-cat that approached them. "Hello, my lady! I am indeed new here. They call me Ticketyboo, Tickety for short."
