Firestar heard Brokenheart cry out. She struggled to her paws and dragged herself to the Medicine Den. She helped Brokenheart with the warrior's brething. Not Wovenknot, no, Starclan, NO!!!! She screamed in her head. Her grief and anger lent her strength and she fetched catnip and ran back to the two cats. "Make her eat this," She meowed hoarsely, before collapsing onto the ground. That's it. Her energy was fading. Everything was getting dark. Her breathing stopped and she could see nothing. She opened her eyes, and she saw, nothing.
"Firestar, you have lost your second life." It was faint. She felt her Blackcough leaving, but something more sinister entered into her mind. "Firestar, we are taking this life to recruit for the Tribe of Nightmares. So go back to your clan, we will be awaiting your other lives." Firestar saw once again Starclan, and they cured the rest of her Blackcough. She had fallen back to earth once more.
"Great Starclan no..." Firestar whispered as her eyes flickered open. The evil cat's voice still rang in her ears, as they took her second life. But she was stronger now. She stood and shook her head. "Wovenknot, can you hear me?" She asked her former apprentice. Worry wracked her insides. She nudged the warrior. Seeing her lying there, so feeble, reminded her when the young cat was so young, when she couldn't cope with only three legs. She thought she'd never be warrior. Yet here she was. Wovenknot couldn't give up on thee life she had fought so hard to keep! Firestar thought. Firestar nudged the warrior again. "Wovenknot, breathe. Can you hear me? If you can hear me, nod. Please Wovenknot. You can't leave us..." She whispered. A single tear rolled down her face. She couldn't lose another cat she had grown close to. First her siblings, then her parents, then Darkmoon, then Thornheart, then Shakenleaf. Wovenknot couldn't die. She wouldn't let her.

"Is everything okay?" came a small meek voice. The burly body that followed it seemed to be impossibly speaking in that tone. Crestedfire poked his head into the medicine den timidly, his large body nearly taking up the entire entrance way. He flashed Firestar and the others a concerned shy glance and played with his paws abit. "Um...should I help anywhere, Firestar?" the gentle giant whispered.

Wovenknot felt paws working on her back, and she choked and spluttered some more. No, Brokenheart, I'm not worth it... She heard Firestar's words, though they were faint, as though she were listening to them through deep water. She ate the herbs, though it was hard while trying not to choke. The tabby warrior thrashed, then rolled onto her stomach and was sick. She then collapsed limply, her breath back. For a moment she lay there, not moving, not daring to breathe, until she heard Firestar's fraught pleading. She couldn't leave her leader, her mentor, her friend... "F... F.. Fire... Star.." she rasped, her eyes rolling with the effort. She breathed in deeply, until she was gasping, her flanks heaving. She could breathe, she could breathe... She wasn't going to die. "Thankyou," she told Brokenheart and Firestar, her voice barely a tinny whisper.

"Well, I think we need more Catnip. I heard Grieverstone talking about that. So could you fetch some? I can't afford you getting sick." Firestar meowed. She continued to comfort Wovenknot, trying to make sure she would breathe.

Crestedfire swallowed a nervous hiccup and nodded. "I'll be back," he said quietly, dipping his head. When he brought it up again, it crashed into the top of the den. He yelped and rubbed his head. Of course, the bump did nothing to push down the comb-like tuft of hair on top of his head. He whined and lumbered out, tripping over his paws a couple of times before finally leaving the camp for catnip.

"Are you okay?" Firestar called out to the rather large tom. "Crestedfire?" She called again.

Wovenknot watched Crestedfire retreat, tripping over his large paws. Despite the searing pain in her chest, she gave a small sympathetic smile. A yowl was all that stopped her watching the big tom. The loner had lifted his head, and was hissing in pain. His injured hind leg was badly twisted, all around the wrong way. His chest was cut, and his flank was nearly bare of fur. He looked small and crumpled, like a sick kit. Apocolypse lifted his head and whimpered again, his pain making him forget his pride.

"Are you okay?" Firestar turned her head to the loner. "Tell me, are you okay?" She asked again. "And Wovenknot, can you breathe?" She asked the she-cat, worry dancing in her eyes.

Luckily, the catmint wasn't very far, meaning the bumbling Crestedfire didn't drop most of his collections or get lost...which usually happened when he was out with Grieverstone or Highfrost. The large tom came back with a mouthful of catnip for the medicine den. "I'm back," he called and promptly dropped his bearings. Stomaching a dejected sob, he collected all the dropped catmint and laid it by Firestar and Wovenknot. At the sound of the loner's wail, he practically shed all of his fur in terror. "His leg's all twisted up. Poor tom," he murmured before turning to Firestar. "Keep up, Firestar. Don't lose all your lives, 'kay?"
The cowardly lion. That was Crestedfire...

Firestar looked up at the big tom. "I won't. I'm better now, thanks. And that's not good. I want all the cats here to get better, clanners or not." She meowed, determination ringing in every word.

Crestedfire nodded to Firestar with a kitten-like smile before turning to Wovenknot. The tom hunkered down by her side. "Um...hi," he said, waving a paw. "Are you okay?" He flashed a lopsided grin as he picked up a leaf of catmint for the she-cat, which automatically toppled all over her. "I'm so sorry," he squeaked, gently scraping off the leaves and pushing it by her side. "Um...these'll make you feel better..."

Brokenheart sighed in relief when Wovenknot spoke and then moved so that Firestar could be with her. She jumped when the loner whimpered and turned to Firestar. Should i go and get Grieverstone? For the loner" she croaked, knowing that if she tried she could walk to fetch the medicine cat. She turned and flashed a rare smile at Wovenknot. She was glad that the warrior she-cat was ok. Wovenknot returned Brokenheart's smile, her sky blue eyes dancing with gratitude. She opened her mouth to return Crestedfire's greeting, but before she had uttered a word a shower of leaves cascaded down on her. She brushed them away with the tom, her muzzle lit up again by a smile. "It's okay," she told the tom, her voice still slightly cracked. Hearing Firestar's concern, she looked at her leader. "Yes, Firestar." Apocolypse's eyes turned on Firestar, the deep, red shot amber orbs he had inherited from his murderous father. "It hurts," he gasped. He knew what his mother and father would say now, if they could see him, curled up pathetically in the care of other cats. But he didn't care, because these cats had cared for him, and were trying to help him get better. Apocolypse had never experienced such kindness in his life.

Falcon woke at the mewing of worried cats. Wondering what could be wrong she padded out of the nursery. She smelled some trace of sickness. Was that what it was? "Whats going on?" she asked still blinking the sleep from her eyes.

Crestedfire blushed at Wovenknot's kind words. "Th-th-thanks," he whispered, dipping his head as he backed away. Feeling useless, he padded towards the entrance, seeing Falcon. "Hi, Falcon," the large tom said with a lopsided grin that slowly slipped into a worried expression. "You shouldn't come in. You'll get sick, okay?"

Falcon sniffed the air, there was sickness. Suddenly worried she took a step in but quickly stepped back. I'm not an apprentice yet and I only know one herb. obeying the large tom she left and went back into the nursery hoping that when she became an apprentice she could stop the sickness. Closing he eyes she tried to sleep, but she was to worried about firestar and the other cats. So she just sat there grooming herself.

((Falcon, I barely understood that post o.o))
Crestedfire nodded weakly and padded out of the medicine cat den. He looked around carefully to make sure no one saw him and tried to make fun of him as he lumbered over to the fresh-kill pile. He pawed a squirrel and frowned, glancing towards the camp entrance. He played with his paws, wondering if he could go hunting. The large tom looked up to go searching for Darkmagic. She was usually nice to him.

Grieverstone burst in to the clearing, "WOVENKNOT!" she was screaming all the way back to camp. She had dropped the herbs the first time she had screamed the warrior's name. Grieverstone gasped, "Great StarClan, Thank StarClan." She padded up to Wovenknot and licked her ear, "Thank StarClan your still alive." Then she looked around, the loner! she padded up to him with some poppy seeds and comfrey in her mouth. Then she dropped it by the loner's paws, "Here, eat these, it will help." Then she padded over to Brokenheart, "Is your vision still blurry? You should lay down," Grieverstone asked. "I'm sorry to you all that I wasn't here when you called me, I hadn't heard you," she apologized.

Wovenknot felt a little pang of regret as Crestedfire padded away to join Falcon. She had enjoyed speaking to the bashful tom. Seeing Greiverstone, Wovenknot smiled breifly. At her apologies, she waved her tail dismissively. "Its quite alright," she rasped in reply, her light blue eyes sparkling.
Apocolypse gave the herbs Greiverstone had pushed towards him a hesitant sniff, then ate them. He chewed slowly, deliberately, before swallowing. After a few long moments, the pain lessened a little. The black tom shifted his twisted leg a little, so that he could see it. He winced at the sight of the sore, awkward leg, and wondered sadly whether he would ever be able to walk again. Where would he go? He couldn't manage alone, and his mother and father would probably kill him if he turned up like this...
There was a loud, anxious yowl from the nursery. Pearlblade appeared in the entrance, looking desperately worried. Her ice blue eyes turned in every direction as she searched for something. "Selenekit?" she meowed. "Selenekit, where are you? Where are you?" The pale queen collapsed in the dust, her sides heaving. Tears leaked from her closed eyes as she moaned; "I've lost her, I've lost her... Oh please, StarClan, no..."

"Selenekit? She's missing, Great StarClan, what's gonna happen next?" Grieverstone sighed, then she picked up some more Catmint, god thing I grabbed extra catmint last time I was out, and set it by Pearlblade. She started to rasp her tongue over the queens ear, and said soothingly, "Here, eat these, it will help calm you down, then you can explain what happened."

Pearlblade nodded, though she still looked distraught. The pale she-cat licked her shoulder a couple of times, then took the catmint between her teeth and chewed it slowly. After she had swallowed, the queen seemed to calm down somewhat. "I'd been up most of the night," she told Greiverstone, her voice low and unhappy. "I was watching Selenekit. She likes the night, so she often goes wandering. She didn't go anywhere. I fell asleep, and then, hen I woke, she was gone!" The she-cat's muzzle twisted into a panicky look. "I searched the camp, then the places outside, all the boundries and everything, but there was nothing! So I came back to check the nursery again, and..." Pearlblade buried her muzzle in her forepaws. "She's gone!"

Firestar was just about to make sure Brokenheart was okay to go when the medicine cat burst into the den. "Grieverstone, when you have a minute, I need to talk to you." She meowed. Then, she lay down next to Wovenknot and groomed her fur. "You'll be all better in no time. You have to be. I can't lose you from my clan, your too special." Firestar grinned at the she-cat.

Brokenheart nodded to Grieverstone and ate the herbs placed in front of her. She began grooming herself, licking her fur into place as it was rather ruffled and matted as she ahd been lying down for so long.

"Don't worry Pearlblade, I'm sure she's just fine... who knows maybe she is related to the prophecy somehow. I'll tell you what, if I have a dream, I'll tell you first," Grieverstone promised, then she licked Pearlblade's ear comfortingly and whispered, "Why don't you go back to the nursery and getr some rest?" Grieverstone truned around and stalked over to Firestar. "Yes? You wanted to talk to me?" she asked kindly, sitting down and wrapping her tail around her paws.
