FADEDSTAR]] Her small paws slid into the camp's clearing, her long pelt plastered against her body, which was slowly returning to it's normal, petite size. Thankfully, only a few had noticed her slightly large stomach. As she stopped in the center of the clearing, dhe couldn't help but glance towards the nursery, wondering how the kits were doing. If they were healthy. She had seen Timekit and Ravenkit before the ceremony, both looking like Midnightsky, yet their real father had no idea they existed as his own kits.
Shaking her head, Fadedstar continued on towards the Bird's Wing, glancing at the ground and letting out a breath of relief that ant signs of blood were gone. Thank StarClan for the rain. As they had entered their territory, the rain had slowly let up, telling them that this storm had passed by while they were at the gathering. The Gathering...it seemed so easy, yet she had stumbled over a few words. Shaking her head again, the brown and white she-cat jumped onto the tree branch that overlooked her clan, glancing towards her deputy, then calling out for a clan meeting.
"All cats old enough to catch their own prey, join me under the Bird's Wing for a Clan meeting!"
[ooc] if anyone needs a ceremony done, just tell me.

swampfoxSwampfox's broad face held no emotion whatsoever. As he walked home from the Gathering by Fadedstar's side, he had a multitude of thoughts that he was thankful didn't show on his face. The gray tom hardly noticed that he was back in came until the long-haired leader yowled out for a Clan meeting. He blinked and shook himself, grunting and sitting up straight. His eyes flickered up to hers; he gave Fadedstar an encouraging smile before glancing away for his apprentice, Carnationpaw. He would like her to sit down next to him; that way, he wouldn't have to hunt her down when he wanted to patrol later on. __________L O O N K I T [settle the score with honor and blood]A gentle she-cat stepped out of the nursery. She seemed almost too big for the other kittens there, and that was true. She was six moons now, ready for her apprentice's ceremony. The beautiful eyes of the she-cat glittered when Fadedstar called a Meeting. Loonkit picked up the pace and cantered out, meowing at the warriors and apprentices coming back from the Gathering. However, she wasn't concerned about that. She wanted to get her name and mentor.egretfeathersEgretfeathers had finally recovered from her loss of losing her sons; the weariness wasn't as apparent in her eyes as she exited the nursery following Loonkit. She smiled at the black and white femme before going off in the other direction, looking for her friend Kitewhistle and some of the other warriors. She probably would be joining them soon, as of now, she was no longer a queen. taigakit The drab-gray tom watched the nursery empty sullenly. "Oh great, now the nursery's just gonna have me, Grasskit, and my boring sisters," the tom groaned, feeling a bit irritable. His thin tail flicked side to side, fluttering out of the way of those who might step on it as they walked by. He glared at the shadows of the nursery and walked out, not caring if his mother called him back.

indigohawk & tawnysky A large shape bounded from the warriors' den as eagerly as any kit. As soon as the first sounds of movement had hit Indigohawk's ears, the large blue-grey tom had leapt from his nest, sapphire eyes alight with curiousity. He wondered how the other leaders had taken Stormstar's death, as he chose a spot near Egretfeathers to sit down. He had led CloudClan for a long time. Indigohawk noticed the stormy grey coat of his nephew, Taigakit. He smirked. The muscular tom waved a paw at the grumpy-faced kitten. "Hey, Taigakit, over here!" he called, handsome face bright. He loved spending time with Tansyfrost's kits - he had never expected his brother's blind daughter to have kits at all, if he was honest, and especially not this young.
Tawnysky had more of a spring in her step as she entered the camp. Her face looked clearer than it had for moons. And that was because she had seen Eaglecry, and they had arranged for him to meet the kits. Tomorrow. She'd have to make sure her kits knew about it. No doubt Bearkit, Bramblekit and Mayakit would moan, and Periwinklekit would ask pointless, endless questions. She hoped Crisiskit would help keep them in line. Tawnysky sat by herself, not wanting anybody's company. She just wanted to be alone with her thoughts. tansyfrost, haloheart, cootkit Tansyfrost woke to the sound of loud movement outside, blinking her blind green eyes open in brief confusion. After a second or two, she deduced that the Gathering group had returned. The ginger and white queen sighed, getting carefully to her paws and stretching. With one slim, snowy forepaw she felt the kits left in her nest, scenting them at the same time. She felt the two small lumps that were Jasminekit and Heatherkit, and the leaner shape of Grasskit. Tansyfrost felt around, frustration mounting, until she realised that Taigakit was not there. Exhaling sharply, the blind queen exited the nursery, not exactly in the best of moods.
Cootkit ran out of the nursery after Loonkit, the moonlight washing his light brown coat grey. The scrawny kit didn't look much bigger, but he was in fact now five moond - nearly old enough to be an apprentice. The tom's dull eyes, the very hue of pondweed, lingered on his best friend. She was a moon older than him. That meant she was becoming an apprentice. He couldn't help but feel a bit sulky about this. Who was he supposed to hang around with now? Cootkit headed towards her, but a small, strong paw caught him around the middle. "No you don't," his mother's voice was gentle in his ear. Cootkit struggled furiously, but futilely, in the end choosing to shout at his friend. "Good luck, Loonkit!"

ooc;// rofl, Raven and I were wondering about the order of apprentices. Aren't the Haloken and Teagle litters the same age? taigakit He rolled his eyes when he heard his name being called, swivelling the slits and harks over to the sound. He quickly honed in on Indigohawk, who was gesturing to him like a courting pheasant. Taigakit grunted and flicked his tail, but deigned to greet his grand-uncle. The drab-gray tomcat walked over on small paws, his lip curling at the ground when he noticed his paws starting to get muddy. "Yes...?" he asked sullenly, staring up at Indigohawk with an expression of utter boredom. __________L O O N K I T [settle the score with honor and blood]The she-cat turned sharply and looked around, smiling kindly when she saw Cootkit. Glancing twice up at Fadedstar, Loonkit chanced it and ran back toward her friend. She smiled gently at him, then leaned in and kissed him on the muzzle. "Thanks, Cootkit. I'll see you in the apprentice's den soon!" Loonkit giggled and turned around, flitting off like a fairy toward the other cats. Her black and white pelt soon melted into the night.

RAVENKIT]] The young tom's head jerked up as he heard approching pawsteps. His gaze, still cloudy from sleep, glanced around, looking towards Dewstep before opening his small mouth for a yawn. Licking his twin sister over the ears softly, Ravenkit stood, shaking his pelt out, causing a few moss balls to fly off and hit a few of the other inhabitants of the nursery. With his tail flicking back and forth, he passed Tansyfrost as she woke, careful not to get in the way of the blind queen, and slipped out of the den, baby-blue eyes moving around until he caught sight of the leader as she sat upon her perch, waiting for the Clan to gather.
His gaze moved around the camp until he spotted the familiar pelt of his 'father', the deputy sitting a little ways off. The black kit started towards him, coming up to the large tom's side. "Hey Dad. How'd the gathering go?" Ravenkit asked, interest in his baby blues as he looked up at the gray-ish male.
FADEDSTAR]] Her eyes shimmered slightly as she met her deputy's then broke away as she shifted her legs under her, tail curling around her dainty paws. All the way home, Fadedstar had been thinking about how the rain had suddenly come. How it had washed most of the remaining snow out into the river. Shaking her head, the brown and white she-cat stood up, shaking her pelt out before closing her eyes. She opened them after a moment, calling out for order, then beginning the meeting. "The Gathering went smoothly. Grainpelt has now taken Ghostlystar's place as Grainstar. He also has a new deputy, Beechclaw." The she-cat took a breath before continuing, tail curling around her back leg as she looked down at her clanmates. "Would Mirrorpaw, Spadepaw, Sharkpaw, Kindlepaw, and Lambpaw please step forwards."
Her eyes spotted the apprentices step forwards before she lept down from the Bird's Wing to sit below it. "Mirrorpaw, you are without a mentor, therefore, I give you another. Kitewhistle is a loyal warrior and for that I give Mirrorpaw to you to train. Teach her all you know"
"Spadepaw, you are also without a mentor, therefore, I give you over to Indigohawk to train. Indigohawk is young, but also wise and I know he will train you well."
"Sharkpaw, you are without a mentor, therefore I give your training over to Brokenskull. Brokenskull is an experianced warrior that I know will teach you well.
"Kindlepaw, you are without a mentor and therefore, I give your training over to Hailthunder. I know Hailthunder will train you to be a great warrior.
"Last but not least, Lambpaw, your are without a mentor, therefore I give you over to Midnightsky. Midnightsky has have various other apprentices, so I know he will teach you well"
Fadedstar gave each apprentice a lick on the shoulder before pulling back and calling out again. "We have one last ceremony that needs to be done. Would Loonkit step forwards please?" She called, watching the black and white kitten.
"Loonkit, from this day forwards, you will be known as Loonpaw. Ribbontail, I give you Loonpaw as an apprentice because of the fact that I know you will train her to be an excellent warrior for our Clan."
With that, the leader took a step back, watching the apprentices and mentors as they met.

indigohawk The big blue-grey tom smiled at the look on Taigakit's face. He found it amusing that one so young could be so... Un-kitlike. There was no other word for it. Indigohawk's sapphire eyes gleamed. "Just wanted to say hi to my favourite nephew," he mewed. The muscular warrior looked up from Taigakit as Fadedstar called out his name. He puffed out his chest in pride as the leader made him a mentor. He had already mentored one cat, Skunkstripe. He was perfectly ready to train another. Waving his tail at Taigakit, Indigohawk got to his big paws and trotted to Spadepaw. He grinned at Dewstep's son. "Hey there! Just tell me whenever you wanna train, okay?" the enthusiastic young warrior touched noses with his new apprentice, a wide smile on his muzzle. ribbontail & cootkit Ribbontail's step was surer than it had been for a while as she got to her paws. The silver bengal's pelt was still marked from her terrible accident, but she was ready to mentor young Loonpaw. The beautiful warrioress hid her pain as she limped across the clearing to the black and white youngster. The former queen smiled at Loonpaw. "Hello," she greeted the she-cat, leaning forward to touch noses with her new apprentice. Ribbontail shot a proud look at her mate, Cloakedclaw, her liquid sapphire eyes bright as the sun.
The tan-coloured tabby blushed beneath his fur as Loonpaw ran back to him. He called out her name loudly, as loud as his little voice would go. Haloheart eventually released him, leaving him bedraggled. He shook himself and continued chanting his friend's name, green eyes gleaming.
// The Haloken and Teagle litters are both five moons, I think. xD It's a bit confusing. I think that's right, then the Gransy litter is three moons.

Midnightsky && Cloakedclaw
Midnightsky noticed a young kit, the name of Ravenkit, exit the nursery. He couldn't help but notice that some of Ravenkit's siblings looked somewhat like him. He shot a glance up at Fadedstar, hoping she could talk to him soon. He needed to figure this out. His head shot up again as he heard his name being called to mentor. She must still trust me, at least. He snorted, before padding forward and touching noses with Lambpaw. "I'll train you with everything I know." He promised, before backing and beckoning his apprentice to follow him, not taking his eyes off of Fadedstar.
Cloakedclaw's eyes caught Ribbontail's as she looked at him. He bounded across the clearing and stopped beside her, pressing his muzzle into her side. "Congratulations!!" He purred, smiling. "If you want, I can come with you when you show your apprentice the territory. We can do a hunting patrol too, so I have an excuse to go?" He asked tentatively, still smiling.
Cinderkit
Cinderkit bounded out of the nursery after Ravenkit, and bowled him over, batting at his ears before jumping off, and running to Swampfox. "HI DADDY!!!!!!" She cried, before running away and scooting between the legs of the older cats. Cinderkit turned and looked up at Fadedstar. "I wonder if we'll be warriors now!!" She meowed excitedly. "No wait, apprentices!! Yeah! Apprentices!!!" She giggled, before racing away into the boundary, and crashed into the wall. "Oww!!!" She cried, rubbing her head with a paw.

FADEDSTAR]] Dismissing the Clan, the new leader took a deep breath, shaking out her pelt as she stood up. Her eyes flicked around the clearing, landing upon Swampfox, Ravenkit and Cinderkit. Her eyes softened slightly as she started towards her deputy, smiling at the kits. "Hello little ones. Does Dewstep know you are both awake, or did you sneak off?" Fadedstar asked, gently giving a lick over each kit's before turning towards her deputy. "Can I have a word, Swampfox? I'd like to show you a few places out in the territory where we need to keep watch" She mewed before moving past the much larger tom, composing her face as she approached her mate. "Hello love. I haven't gotten the chance to speak to you in awhile, but we will. I just wanted to congradulate you on your apprentice. I know you'll train Lambpaw well" Fadedstar mewed as she leaned forwards, licking her mate's muzzle before turning away from him, trotting back towards Swampfox and gesturing towards the camp entrance. She stopped by Ribbontail and Cloakedclaw, smiling at the two. "Would you mind watching over camp? I need to show Swampfox a few things" She asked, then started towards the camp entrance.

__________L O O N PAW [settle the score with honor and blood]She giggled at Cootkit's actions in the background before turning and smiling up at Ribbontail. She tilted her head, wondering what caused the she-cat pain. Perhaps she would find out someday, protect her from more pain. The black and white apprentice touched noses with her pretty mentor and beamed softly, feeling proud of this day.
When Cloakedclaw came up, Loonpaw's muzzle wrinkled slightly. Why did he have to come? Was her mentor that inept at doing things alone? Loonpaw stood up, unaware that her face was twisting up into a venomous expression toward Cloakedclaw. This was her mentor! She ignored her conscience telling her that she was being selfish, since the tom was Ribbontail's mate and all.swampfoxSwampfox blinked when Cinderkit thundered into view and did a barrel roll by Ravenkit. He gave the she-cat a reprimanding smile ("don't be too rough with the boy") and flicked his tail when she hollered. "Hi there, sweetheart." She bounded away again, flopping her head and causing Swampfox to shake his own.
His pate lifted when Fadedstar came near. Swampfox stood at attention, his large chest rising a bit and his jaw lifting. "Of course, my lady." He bowed his head respectfully and stood up when she turned away to Midnightsky for a moment. He swallowed and turned to the kits, smiling at them. "Alright, back in the nursery. I've got to do some work for your--Fadedstar." Oh StarClan, he almost said 'mother'. The massive coal-gray tom swiveled and trotted to the Clan camp's entrance.

Midnightsky && Cloakedclaw
Midnightsky watched as Fadedstar stopped to talk to Swampfox and the kits. He heard Cinderkit squeak, "We didn't sneak out!!! I swear!!!!!!!!" He shook his head, but noticed Fadedstar had come to him. He braced himself to confront her, but seeing her, talking to him, he stopped himself. "Thank you. I will treat Lambpaw well. And we need to talk. Soon." He meowed, watching her. "Have a fun patrol." He called after her, watching her still.
Cloakedclaw grinned at his mate, before turning to Fadedstar. "Of course we'll watch the clan. You can trust us." He dipped his head before turning to Ribbontail. "We get to watch the camp, how special are we??" He grinned, before butting her flank with his head. He trotted away, grinning at her to follow, while he surveyed the camp. "Come, Ribbonstar." He laughed, prodding at her side with his paw.

ribbontail The silver bengal smiled, pressing up against her mate as he padded up to her. Her sapphire eyes shone. She was happy that Fadedstar trusted her to train a young cat. Ribbontail opened her mouth to accept Cloakedclaw's offer, when she spotted Loonpaw's expression out of the corner of her eye. She was taken-aback by the amount of venom on the young cat's face. She narrowed her eyes slightly - she hated to see anyone look at her Cloakedclaw like that. "Better not," she mewed quietly, hoping that Cloakedclaw would have noticed Loonpaw's expression too and did not think she was just shunning him. The she-cat licked her mate over the ear and turned back to her apprentice. "So, when do you want to start training?" her voice had become several degrees colder now, as she addressed the young black and white she-cat. The warrioress turned her head to look at Fadedstar as the leader spoke. She nodded, and smiled faintly at Cloakedclaw, before waving her tail once at Loonpaw and following her mate.

__________L O O N PAW [settle the score with honor and blood] At Ribbontail's denial of Cloakedclaw, Loonpaw's insidious expression dropped like water off a duck's back. She smiled gently and nodded, stretching out and shaking her fur. She'd be the one to take care of her mentor, no one else. It was the least she could do since Ribbontail was training her and all. The black and white femme let her gaze wash over her mentor's marks before turning up to the she-cat's face. Her smile somewhat faded at the former queen's facial expression, making Loonpaw look a bit gloomy. What'd she done now? The femme sighed, feeling a bit chilly. "We should probably start by looking over the territories since I've never been out before." Well, she had but she didn't remember. They'd told her stories that a beautiful warrior named Astralhaze had found her on the border of BrightClan and CloudClan. She wondered where this border was...and if she'd know it even though she'd never seen it.
The piebald femora cleared her throat and decided to get Ribbontail's cold behavior off her mind. She'd get her mentor to see that all she wanted was to protect her, to protect everyone...even against their will. That's all she was good for, anyway.

Cloakedclaw smiled, but it faltered as he looked at Loonpaw. "Fine. Why don't we hunt or patrol later?" He asked Ribbontail. He stepped closer to her and muttered in her ear so Loonpaw couldn't hear, "Without the brat." He stepped back and grinned, before dipping his head and bounding away, watching the camp like Fadedstar asked.

ribbontail The slender silver bengal flicked one ear in acceptance, turning back to look at Loonpaw. "Fine," she mewed. She noted that the apprentice's face had cleared again. It seemed she really did have a problem with Cloakedclaw. "We can go out tomorrow." The beautiful she-cat turned to her mate. She could see from his face that he had noticed Loonpaw's strange hostility. She glanced back at the apprentice. Ribbontail felt a ripple of irritation at the look of confusion on the younger she-cat's face. Did she really not know why Ribbontail was so angry? The silver-coloured warrioress pressed against her mate. "Of course," she promised, licking him over the ear. The two of them could go out when Fadedstar and Swampfox returned. The she-cat briefly wondered what the leader and deputy were up to, before her attention moved back to her new apprentice's odd hostility towards her mate.

She growled huskily when Cloakedclaw started whispering in Ribbontail's ear. "Whatever..." The black and white she-cat stormed off, pushing against the tom's shanks in the process. Her hazel eyes were abnormally darkened, her tail flashing side to side like a whip. "Stupid ugly horse fodder." Her mumbled words were probably louder than they should be, and to be honest, she really didn't care. How dare he whisper poison into her mentor's ears like that; Ribbontail could make her own decisions. Well, whatever that stupid Cloakedclaw had said, Loonpaw would make sure he didn't interfere.

He meowed grimly. "I don't pity you. She's going to be hard to handle." He licked her ear. "Don't worry though. She's just an apprentice. What's she going to do, send a rogue on me or something?" ribbontail & cootkit The silver bengal did not respond to Loonpaw's mutter of ascent. But when the apprentice stormed past, the she-cat heard what came out of her mouth. Ribbontail gasped furiously, her claws unsheathing. The short-tempered warrioress had to work hard to not leap at the apprentice and claw her ears. Breathing heavily in and out, Ribbontail sheathed her claws. "I'm going to be having words with her mother," she hissed through gritted teeth. Ribbontail flicked her long, spotted tail angrily. "As soon as Fadedstar and Swampfox return." Perhaps Dewstep would be able to shed some light on Loonpaw's apparent hatred of Cloakedclaw.
Cootkit blinked his large eyes at Loonpaw. His friend seemed to be angry. He trotted away from his mother before she could stop him, and approached her. He hung back for a moment - frightened that she would bite his head off. He still couldn't believe that somebody as cool as Loonpaw would want to be friends with him. "Er, um, Loonpaw...?" he mewed timidly. "Are... Are you okay...?" [/blockquote]

She jerked her pate in his direction, her opticals almost pupilless as the darkness of her hazel eyes swirled around her entire eyes. Swallowing and blinking, Loonpaw regained self-control and brought a smile upon her beautiful, terrible face. She sighed and glanced over her shoulder at her mentor and her mate.
"I'm fine. It's just...him." Her ears bent back. "He must think my mentor is incompetent or something. She's a former queen and she's got some scars on her but that doesn't mean he has to treat her like a kitten. 'Oh, can I go with you, Ribbontail? Let's go hunt, Ribbontail!'" She held up her paws in a mocking gesture and then snarled. "She is my mentor. If he wants to do all that love-dovey mousedung, then do it while I'm not there."
She spat in Cloakedclaw's general direction. "He's distracting her, and I'm not going to tolerate that in a mentor. If I'm gonna get strong someday, it's going to have to be through one-on-one training. I can't work with some love-dazed couple of cats."
To any cat but herself, it was probably a bunch of selfish garbage coming out of her mouth but Loonpaw firmly believed that she was the only one to be with Ribbontail for the next six moons.
Now that she had just basically ranted her ear off, Loonpaw leaned back a bit and chuckled, playfully swatting at Cootkit's ear. She smiled winningly at him. "You're mine, too, y'know. My best friend." Her guardianship mentality made her almost possessive in her ways, because they would get hurt in the paws of anyone but her. She would never hurt Cootkit or Ribbontail, but she'd slit the throats of anyone that dared to interfere with her relationships with them.

cootkit The small tom listened to Loonpaw's words, noting when her voice suddenly became dark and angry. The tan-coloured tabby tried not to show his alarm. He liked Loonpaw, of course he did, he liked her very much... She was one of the only cats to ever be nice to him... But she could be a bit scary at times. Cootkit waved his tiny tail as Loonpaw finished her angry speech. "Of course, you're quite right," he mewed, inclined to agree with whatever she said. He slammed a small paw in the dust. "Nope, you can't." Cootkit grinned goofily at her next words, feeling both embarrased and gratified. The little tom was too busy feeling amazed that Loonpaw had chosen him as her best friend to notice that she had spoken about him as though he was her posession. Such things were not important to the young Cootkit, as he ducked, before launching himself playfully at his friend.
