Name: Mintflower
Definition: Mintflower. Mint is a fragrant herb.
Gender: she-cat
Age: 15 moons
Clan: Moon Clan
Rank: warrior
Looks: Mintflowers face is elegant and proud. Her eyes, though beautiful often carry a haunted look. They are a light silvery gray which matches her pelt. Her whiskers are very long and pure white, falling gently off her petite muzzle.
She is not a very large cat, her whole being is somewhat delicate to the eyes. Her shoulders are lean and muscular, much like the rest of her. Her tail is not extraordinarily long and is tipped with ebony. Despite her small size she can jump extremely well and is far more powerful than her looks convey.
Her paws are very dainty, and she keeps them very clean so that their silver coloring shines through brightly. Hidden within those feminine paws, are her exceptionally sharp claws, perfectly curved and ready to tear into any who get into a fight with her.
Her pelt is unusually colored, shining silver with black spots like a the Leopards of the big cats. Around her neck, legs and tail are rings, also black while her face is edged in black stripes. She has scars carefully hidden by grooming from her apprentice encounter with a fox. She grooms herself meticulously because when she does, she shines like the moon itself. Although beautiful, her pelt doesn't help when stalking prey as its bright silver stands out among the green forest. But in winter, she blends in with the snow and shadows very well.
Actions: She is not a cat you would want to cross, she doesn't forgive very easily, though if you get to her good side, there is no fault of yours she won't excuse. She comes across as harsh and cold, but once you know her well she is soft and venerable and loves having silly fun and is quite sweet, though not with words but she shows her affections through behavior and loyalty. She is shy and untrusting of many cats, even if she's known them her whole life. Once she lets you in, she trusts you with all her heart and would gladly give up her life for you. She hates others protection, even when she knows she needs it. She is a very proud cat which is a downfall. When she is emotional, she shuts out the world, going off on her own to think and doesn't show her weaknesses to anyone. She is quick to believe the worst of other and of herself.
Past: When she was born it had just turned new leaf. There was still some snow around, but the trees had started to grow buds and the prey was returning. She was SpeckledOaks only kit to be born alive, her brother was stillborn. She was originally named Spotkit, but because of her obsession with mint, she was renamed Mintkit.
She was apprenticed that leaf bare and soon after, her mother disappeared. She was heartbroken and against her leaders orders, went in search of her mother. As she was looking, she ran into a young fox and was badly wounded. She lay bleeding in the snow until a patrol found her and brought her back to camp. She spent most of that leaf bare in the medicine cats den, depressed and unwilling to get better yet at the same time trying to escape and continue looking for her mother.
Because of the delay in her training, she only recently became a warrior and desperate to prove that she's just as good as her senior warriors. Her deepest loyalty lies with the clan, but she can't help but wonder why no one searched harder for her mother and it makes her bitter. She still feels like her mother is out there, and whenever she leaves the camp she is always searching for some sign, either that she is alive and has come back, or that she is safe in Star Clan's paws. As often as she can with out being noticed, she goes to the creek where her mother would secretly take her when she was a kit, to swim and play in the water.
In Character: Mintflower looked around at the sleeping camp one more time then headed out through the foggy night. She walked slowly, enjoying how unreal the forest looked at times like this. She could practically feel the warriors of Star Clan with her. When she got to the stream she layed on her usual rock near the stream, listening to the quiet sounds of the sleeping forest and the muted tones of the creek nearby, going on its way. She had tried to stay in camp tonight, but it was impossible. She felt so cramped and disconnected with the world when she was in camp too long. so she'd snuck away...again. This was the 6th night in a row she'd spent on this very rock, despite the cold that numbed her paws and made her breath turn into mist. she liked that the cold seemed to numb her mind as well, stop it from thinking or feeling anything, she was tired of it. The clouds were out tonight, making it hard to see the moon or stars. She gazed up at the sky, and the wind that was pushing lazily at the clouds suddenly picked up and the sky cleared. She gasped at how beautiful the night sky could be. There were more stars than she could even begin to count and the moon shone brightly down at her. She could see the forest clearly now, the dark skeletons of trees outlined against the crisp white snow, the shadows of bushes quivering in the slight wind. This was her heaven and for the first time in so long, she was happy and at peace with the world. She closed her eyes and began to drift off to sleep. She woke and saw the sun bravely trying to shine through the thick layers of cloud and was startled awake, she had never stayed out this long before and knew her absence had probably been noticed by now. She sniffed the air for early morning pray to bring back to camp as an excuse, but she scented nothing. Dismayed she lept off the rock and started to run through the powder, throwing up a white spray every step she made.
Relationships/Kin: Her mother disappeared and no one knows who her father is. She mostly keeps to herself and doesn't have any special friendships with in the clan.
