The dappled grey body of a cat slunk through the lush stems of grass growing underpaw in her garden. She stretched her spine, arching her back. The thrill of the day still haunted her. She could not rid herself of the image of that angry tom's eyes... Shuddering, Tala padded into her nest, ate a few mouthfuls of food, then curled up in her soft nest. She found it impossible to sleep, though she was exhausted. She heaved herself to her paws and trotted out into the garden again, leaping onto the fence and sitting there, tail flicking from side to side.

Sentres leapt up onto his fence a few moments after Tala. "Hi Tala," he mewed. "Look, I'm really sorry...."

[SHADE. :D]

Tala fluffed out her fur as she saw the other cat leapt onto the fence. Her shoulders bristled and she let out a hiss, before recognizing Sentres. She gave him a cold look, but sheathed her claws and let her dappled grey fur lie flat. She dropped her gaze onto her paws, before mewing: "It was a totally mouse-brained thing to do. But I suppose I'll forgive you."

Moon strolled lazily out of her nest, long tresses of thick white fur rippling ever so slightly in the breath of the breeze. Her honey-brown eyes were closed as she stepped into the morning sun-light. With a gentle sigh she opened her eyes again and padded over to her fence, bunching up her muscles she jumped up onto the painted white posts. A movement in the corner of her eye caused her to look round, the dappled grey fur of Tala made her smile. "Hello Tala" she said softly, her honey sweet voice ringing calmly out as she waved her tail at the young she-cat.

Tala slunk along the fence, then leapt down into Moon's garden. "Hi Moon," she was surprised at how exhausted her usaully sweet, lively voice sounded. She then remembered her lack of sleep. She sighed, feeling prickly towards Sentres once more. He had apolegized, but was that enough to erase he momory of those terrible eyes...?

"You look troubled love, whats wrong?" she asked gently, tilting her head too one side. Keeping her balance she carefully cat down on the fence and tucked her paws close put her stomach. For a moment she had a ponder on how Cream was doing though she soon shook it off. Tala's weary sounding voice had bothered her, the she-cat obviously was up-set. Licking at her chest she waited for an answer.

^{A tear streamed down Sentres' cheek. "I only wanted to say sorry," he cried. "But it seems you don't want me around!" With that he hastily leapt off the fence back into his garden and streaked into his bramble nest. A that secret lay heavy in his heart seemed like it might not hold on any longer, and he went to sleep with the tears still raining down.}

Bambi was prowling around in the undergrowth round the back of Willow Lane when she saw Moon and Tala perched on a fence. She sprang up next to them. 'Hi. How're you both?' she asked, unaware of what had gone on with Sentres a moment before.
Ooc: It would be really sweet if two kittypets mated and then there were lots of kit-typets!

[bic;] "I said I forgive you!" yoled Tala, fur bristling. She spat after him: "Toms!" Before hurling herself at the fence, clawing her way up, and rushing inside her nest.

'Hey, Tala! What's wrong?' she mewed, startled by Tala's outburst.

[SHADE. :D]

Tala froze on the threshold of her nest, fur bristling. She whipped around. "That stupid tom is being a touchy mouse-brain, when it was him that dragged us into the stupid forest!" The dappled grey cat's face crumpled.

'I'm sure it's not that bad!' Bambi called, laid back as usual. She leapt off the fence and put her tail round Tala's shoulder.

[SHADE. :D]

"Its is!" Tala half-snarled, half-sobbed. "THat stupid tom took us into the forest and we got caught by one of those Tribe-thingy cats and he nearly attacked us! He was huge..." The dappled grey cat swung her head from side to side frantically, as if to check if Brokenpromise were still there.

[fernie. (:]

'Oh, you poor thing! Why did Sentres want to go there with those stupid furballs?' she watched Tala and thought that it must have been bad if she was in such a state.

Moon's eyes widened as she listened, she remembered the day she ahd got too curious and ran into the forest. She had bumped into a great big black and white thing. Shuddering she jumped down next too Tala and licked her ear comfortingly. "I went to the forest once, I'll never go there again, all I remember is those horrible green eyes.. But it's okay now, we wont go back" smiling comfortingly she flicked her tail a little before turning and looking were Sentres went. "Mn, I'll go see if he's okay, poor dear" she murmured before padding quickly after him.

_{Sentres' ears perked as he heard Moon pad in and he sighed. "Hi Moon," he mewed sadly. "I heard Tala. I guess I am a bit touchy. It's just something else." The was a slight twinkle in his eye as he mewed the last sentence, but he quickly shook it off, hoping Moon hadn't caught it.}

Unfortunately Moon had caught it. Sighing heavily she looked at him with soft, yet sad eyes. Shaking her head she turned her back on him and began to pad slowly away, looking over her shoulder at him the emotion that polluted his beautiful eyes was clearly nothing but sadness. "I hope you find happiness were ever you go Sentres" she whispered before jumping over the fence to see Tala. "Mm, has any of you seen Sun lately, I haven't seen him in days" she asked rather worried for her twin.

"No," mewed Tala. She kneaded the grass with her paws, before gently pulling free of Bambi. She launched herself onto her fence, skillfull clawing her way up and landind beside Sentres. "I said I forgave you." She mewed moodily. But then she seemed to have a change of heart and her face crumpled agin. She buried her nose in the tom's shoulder.

"Hello my duckies" the soft rumble of Sun's voice broke elegantly over one of the fences before the handsome tom flecked into sight. His deep rich amber eyes swirled with delight as he looked down and over at his friends. Walking over to the small huddle he twined his tail with Tala's in greeting and licked her ear. He then did the same to Sentres, Moon and Bambi. Every Kitty-pet around the Lane would know that was his way of greeting, any other would probably think he was mates with them all. Letting his tail rest at his paws he cocked his ehad back, that trademark cheeky looking grin flashing up. "So, what's up" he purred happily, smiling at them all. Moon scowled slightly before giving her brother a sharp cuff over the ear, "I've been worried sick about you, you silly tom, why haven't you been coming to see me" she yowled at him. Sun pulled a sort of pout and cocked his head too one side again. "My kitty-pets were getting me a new door on" he state, flicking his tail at the new cat door. Moon grunted and rolled her eyes slightly before sitting with her brother.

Tala heard a new voice and drew back, alarmed. She then noticed it was only Sun, and pressed her nose into his cheek. She then sat by herself with a sigh, looking at her paws while she listened to the brother and sister bicker.

Sun pulled away from Moon and sat himself next to Tala, resting his silky head on her shoulder he hand his tongue over her cheek. "What's wrong sweetheart?" he asked in a soft voice, the words coming out in a soothing purr. Moon watched them with a smile before she moved to go sit with Bambi.

Tala sighed. She was soothed a little by Sun's calm, assured tone, but if she told the tomcat what was the matter with her, would Sentres mind? She looked at her paws, deciding it didn't really matter whether he told Sun or not; the gossip would travel around fast enough anyway. In a smll voice she mewed: "Sentres ran out into the forest. We followed him because we were scared one of those horrid wildcats might get him. And we met one. One of the wildcats, I mean. He was huge, with blazing eyes and really, really sharp claws. He threatened to attack us if we did not leave, but Sentres wanted to join them."

_{Sun's eyes widened as he listened too Tala's story, with his face twisting into one of mild shock and horror he shuddered. "Moon went out into the forest once, she met a huge black and white cat, he threatened to kill her.. Maybe it was the same one?" he said softly looking thoughtful. Swallowing a little he curled his tail with Tala's again and gazed over at his Sister. "I was worried to death when she came back" he mewed gently, motioning to three diagonal scars side by side on the side of her stomach. Shaking his head he sighed heavily.}

Sentres knew what Moon's response meant. "That's not what I mean by that," he mewed. "And Tala, I'm sorry for acting that way. I was pretty mouse-brained."

Moon curled up quietly beside Sentres and rested her head on her paws. "Well where ever you decide to go Sentres I won't let you go there by yourself, what sort of friend would I be if I let you go alone" she murmured quietly to him, softly smiling.

^{Sentres smiled back. "Well, I'm never going back to that forest again, though. Or at least not for a long while. No need to worry."}

Tala bristled slightly. She pulled free of Sun, not sure what had ruffled her fur so. Wordlessly she ran into her nest, darting into her bed of blankets. She hid herself beneath the soft folds, trying to forget everything. She felt the warm fabric caress her cheek and felt a little better. She had no idea what had possesed her to bolt... Then the image of Sentres and Moon lying so close together electrified her mind. A sharp pang of hurt and jealousy sang through her mind, and she closed her eyes.

Sun grunted something under his breath before whipping off after Tala, stepping carefully into her nest he looked up to see her twoleg. Accepting a pat on the head he moved carefully into Tala's room and sat next to her bed. "Tala" he whispered, giving her a small prod in the side with his paw. He could have swore he saw jealousy in her eyes when she ran away, was she fluffed up over Sentres and Moon? Narrowing his eyes slightly he heaved a sigh. "Are you alive in there you big ball of fluff" he purred softly.

Ta;a heard her twoleg mewing outside her nest, and a cat purring. She stiffened. Which cat had followed her? She listened to the soft, steady pawsteps getting closer. Then heard Sun's voice. She narrowed her eyes, curling up into an even tighter ball, the fur on hr spine bristling into a mohawk. "What?" she spat.

"Mpth. I only wanted to know what was wrong Tala, it's like you where jealous of something." Heaving a sigh he roled his eyes and lay down beside her, watching her he laid his head on his paws and waited for a reply.
