I'm in a terrible state just now, so i apologize if any of this is hard to understand or anything.

Fernie had a really terrible riding accident and has broken her back. There is no nerve damage, which means she will walk again. Her neurologyst has told her she is extremely lucky, as if she had hit her back anyh further up she could have been paralyzed.

They are not yet sure where she has broken her back, but it is lower somewhere.

She is getting more scans tomorrow and I will update you guys whenever I can. They think she has dome something to her kidneys as well, but at the moment this is minor compared to her back.

Therefore, Fernie will quite obviously not be on here for quite some time. I am giving permission to myself, Shade and Aurrie to play her charries if needed. Shade, Fernstar can be your responsibility for the moment (e.g the Gathering).

I also apologize if my own muse is not up to its usual standard. This has hit me really hard, so if you need me to post somewhere, please PM me and I will try my best to reply.

I trust you will all be understanding and any messages for Fernie I will try to pass on.

Hi guys, sorry I wasn't on yesterday, it was too hard to even think about coming on =[ never had such a horrible day at school in my life, just felt sick with worry all day and was either in shock or crying, it was awful.

Myself and Fern and I's other bestest Lauren got in last night to see her. We both weren't sure what to expect, as she was on the main ward, which is the High Dependency Unit, but she was very awake and happy to see us (this feels so odd talking about her like this lol). She has broken her L1 which is INCREDIBLY close to her spinal cord so she is exceptionally lucky not to have been paralysed. If she had even landed slightly diiferently on that part of her back things could have been so much worse.

We got to stay with her for an hour, so we were happy, she is at the moment very bright and we all still had a giggle so it was all good. By the time we had to leave she was sore, but she was due her painkillers by then so that was ok.

Have managed to sort her some schoolwork (as obviously our standard grades are in May) so I'm sure she will be overjoyed by that! Lol.

The kikdneys thing seems to have cleared itself up, they think it was just the shock and the bump they got when she landed. Somehow she managed to walk into A&E and sit there for 2 hours, I have no idea how she is being so incredibly brave but she is.

She's going to be in hospital for about 6 weeks they think, so I'll keep updating you all with any more news. She has also been moved to a side room which is great, as that means they are more certain that she is going to be just fine, and they should also be more leniant about the number of visitors, which is good as am aiming to be at the hospital 4 or 5 days out of the week, so hopefully she won't get sick of me!

You can all probobly tell I'm in a much better mood (I'm sure there will still be times when my muse is awful) but I should be posting as normal, just might not be quite as active as I have my Fernie to visit!

I'm going to see her again tomorrow, so I'll tell her you all send your best wishes and are thinking of her. I told her I had posted this last night and she says to thank Shade for having Fernstar ^^.

Her mum is going to try and get her internet access on her laptop, but I don't know if she will be ok with lots of typing, but I'm sure if she can post then she will ;D, we just don't know from the hospital yet.

Thank you all for your kind words, they have really cheered me up and I know Fernie will be happy to hear from you all .

): Send her my best wishes! At least we have some things to be thankful for - that she didn't get paralyzed, for one - and I hope she get better as soon as she can!
And like Raven says, tell her not to worry about not posting. She has to focus on getting better and after that on catching up on school.

Hey guys, sorry no time for posting again today, but I have 2 other friends going to see Fern tomorrow so I am having a day at home to catch up on all I've missed ^^, so shall post then .

Fernie got her corset fitted today, she was having x-rays when her mum texted me so when I find out whats going to happen with that shall tell you all.

The doctors have also told her its more like 3 weeks than 6 weeks she's going to have to spend in hospital now, which is GREAT ;D. She's also going to be starting physio soon, so woop woop ^^.

I'll try and get more active again soon!

Well, Fernie certainly likes to surprise us all!

Yesterday, she got to take a shower ( she was well happy lol) plus she walked and climbed stairs!!!!!! So, due to how well she is doing, she could be out of hospital by Monday!!!

I'm so hyper lol, got to see her tonight, and she was able to get up to give us all hugs, and we went for a walk and up the stairs and everything, and she says its not been sore at all, she was just unsteady the first couple of times, but yeah!

So hopefully she will be back on here very soon!

Okay, so I'm back!

I'd just like to say thanks so much to Spice for being my messenger, it was very helpful (:
And thanks to you all for your kind words and well wishing .

So, I got let out of hospital today, and I'm at home right now, extremely happy!
I have to keep my back brace on for 6-12 weeks, and I'm quite sore sitting for lengthy amounts of time, never mind hunched over a computer. So I don't think I'll be posting anything except the odd post here and there right now, as I'm getting sore just typing this message. I'm sorry for the inconvenience [this whole thing is one big 'inconvenience'!] but if Shade could carry on playing Fernstar for a little while at least, and Spice, Aurrie, Kuri and Lizzeh post with others that are needed, that would be a huge help.

I'm gonna wrap this up now 'cus I need to go lie down.
