avenstail It was slow. It was painful. But it was progress. A lean silver tabby tom was dragging himself across the clearing, his paws trailing in the grass. His indigo eyes were clouded with pain, but this was something that he had to do. The silver-striped tom finally reached his destination. Firestar's den. Avenstail cleared his throat. He peered into the gloom of the den. "Um, Firestar?" he mewed tentatively. He gathered his courage and padded inside. It smelt like any other den, but nerves still coursed through him. He pushed them away. He had to be strong. For Maplepool. This was his decision. No one could stop him. "Firestar," he mewed, his voice more strong now. "I've decided to leave the clan. I want to be with Maplepool. I'm going to join EclipseClan. I'm sorry... But it's what I want." The silver tabby tom lifted his head, usually calm indigo eyes blazing with passion. "I don't want to be disrespectful, but you can't stop me."

ooc;;Sorry it took so long for me to reply. I've been super busy.
FIRESTAR
Firestar called the young warrior into her den. When he was done talking, she nodded. "You know, you remind me of your father.
"Back when I was just a new warrior, I watched your father run away countless times. hen he returned with your sister, Wovenknot, when she was a kit, the whole clan was baffled. We couldn't believe what he had done! He ran away with your mother, Limestone, she was from Eclipseclan, and they both became rogues. I don't want you to make the same mistake. So when you go with Maplepool, you make sure you stay in Eclispeclan, and don't run away. But if anything ever goes wrong, and you find yourself outside of the clan for a reason other than murder or betrayal, while I'm still leader, you will always have a spot in Moonclan."
She stood and touched her muzzle to his head. " But before you go, make sure you are strong enough to go."
Of course she was upset, but she couldn't be mad at him for being in love. After al, she had been in love as well. She looked at him, seeing if he were to say anything else to her.

avenstail The silver tabby tom bristled as Firestar spoke. He was leaving so that he wouldn't be like Secretcalling! He waited, eyes slightly narrowed, as the ginger tabby spoke. He then raised his head with pride, despite the pain it caused him. "I may look like my father, but I'm nothing like him," he mewed fiercely. "That is why I am leaving the clan. I won't sneak around in the shadows like him. I won't split up any kits I might have. I want to do the honourable thing. I don't..." He sighed. "I don't want to hurt any more cats... Than I already have." He knew his decision would hurt some. His mother. Claryfeather.. All the friends he had made here in MoonClan. But this was no longer his home, noy without Maplepool. "Thankyou," he mewed sincerely, as Firestar promised he would always have a place here. "But I doubt I will be coming back." Avenstail blinked, looking at his paws. "I am just going to say my goodbyes. Then I am leaving." He turned to leave the den, trying to pretend he hadn't noticed the flicker of sadness in Firestar's green eyes. "Goodbye, Firestar. Thankyou for giving me a chance in this clan."
Avenstail hurried from the den, padding to the warriors' thicket. He poked his nose inside, then nudged the slender black shape of Claryfeather awake. He soon spotted the black and white pelt of Limestone, his mother, and did the same with her. He could not see his father, but perhaps that was a good thing. He would go and see Wovenknot and her kits last. He knew that his leaving would probably be the last thing his older sister would care about, after her mate's death, but he couldn't leave without saying goodbye.

claryfeather xxxxxxxxxxx She hadn't slept one moment since Avenstail was carried back to camp but that scum of an EclipseClanner. Most of the time during the evenings, she visited Avenstail in the Medicine Cat den or just watched the stars until dawn. This night she stared at the wall of the warrior's den, across her brother's nest... Where he should always be... But no. Claryfeather wasn't an idiot. Their voices were easily heard... They carried through the wind to reach her sad ears. So far, Claryfeather had remained strong. She had so little time left with her best brother... Her best friend.
Suddenly, her deep almost in sleep thoughts were interrupted by a gentle paw against her side. Claryfeather woke up immediately, her bright green eyes opening wide to squint at the bright light coming in from the den entrance. But there was something blocking that light. A cat. "Avenstail?" For some reason, Claryfeather didn't even have to think. She just knew who this cat was. His face was twinkling in the sunlight that shown around him, like he was a StarClanner. But he wasn't supposed to be here. "What's going on? Are you alright?" the black she-cat asked as she uncoiled her slender body to sit up straight, to stare straight into his indigo eyes with her own green ones.

Limestone
Limestone slipped out of the warriors' den after being roused by her son. She slipped in beside Claryfeather and smiled at her daughter. "What's wrong, Avenstail?" She asked in a voice filled with concern. She had seen a look like the one that was on Avenstail's face a while ago, but she couldn't remember where. As she searched in her head, she watched Firestar pad out of her den, watching Avenstail with a sad look on her face. Then she remembered. It was the same look Secretcalling had on his face when he came to get her from Eclipseclan. "Avenstail..." She had put it together in her head, and her heart flipped. Is this how her parents felt, how her friends felt, when she had left the clan? He couldn't leave though. She wouldn't let him. He was her baby boy, and he couldn't leave.[/sub]

avenstail The silver tabby tom watched as his mother and sister padded from the warriors' den. Claryfeather looked worried, but Limestone's expression told the silver tabby tom that she had already guessed what he was going to say. He suddenly had the overwhelming urge to run, to hold his tongue and not tell them he was leaving. But if he did, Firestar would just tell them anyway, and he'd be no better than his father. Avenstail cleared his throat in preperation. "Mother... Claryfeather," he mewed, his voice tight. "You... You know how I feel about Maplepool. And... And I know that my... My feelings for her are against the warrior code." He hesitated, his ears flicking uncomfortably. "And I don't want that. So, I have decided to go to EclipseClan, to be with her." He knew how they would react. They would be furious. EclipseClan were their mortal enemies. "It was my idea, Maplepool had nothing to do with it." secretcalling "What?" The silver tabby's voice was filled with anger and disbelief as he overheard what his only son was saying. He had just returned from hunting, with a robin laying by his paws where he had dropped it. His eyes became slits, the beautiful indigo pools bubbling with anger. "You are not going," he spat. "Not with her. She doesn't deserve you." He caught the flash of anger in his son's eyes as he said that. "She's nothing, Avenstail. You'll be over her by next moon. You're not leaving."

claryfeather xxxxxxxxxxx Claryfeather's first instinct was to be mortally furious with Avenstail and what he was about to do, even though she already assumed that this was what was going to happen. Her bright green eyes grew dark but deep inside she was much more hurt then she was angry. Didn't Avenstail care about her anymore? But as usual, her sensitive thoughts were pushed to the back of her mind and she focused on the anger and rage that was bubbling at the surface. Just as she was about to lash out and yell, Secretcalling padded over and all the fury that he put into this took all the fury that Claryfeather in her heart and ripped it out. He even stomped on it for a bit of a good effect by not seeming to care what Limestone or what his own daughter thought. Suddenly, the rage was reformed in her as rage toward her father. A burning rage that had been kept in for so long that she couldn't stand it anymore.
"Do not talk to Avenstail like he is a baby! He is a full warrior, and a good one at that. He can make his own damn decisions so you should not order him around!" she screeched, her temper bursting at its highest point, probably, ever. "And he should go to EclipseClan and not make the same damn mistake you did by hiding behind everyone's backs and lying! They love each other just as much as you and Mother love each other. You don't have the right to keep them apart! And at least Avenstail here has the guts to tell the truth! So you should just shut your mouth!"
Claryfeather had crossed the line and she knew it.

avenstail The silver tabby glanced from his mother to his sister, holding Claryfeather's gaze until his father's voice hit his ears. The silver tabby narrowed his eyes, fury stabbing at his chest. How dare he insult Maplepool. "She is my mate and I love her," he mewed coldly. Avenstail blinked in surprise as Claryfeather began to rant at their father. He was pretty sure the slim black she-cat was just venting her anger towards him on Secretcalling. When she finished, the young tom noticed the dangerous look in his father's eye. Avenstail stood in front of Claryfeather, spreading himself out so that he blocked her. The two cats, mirror image's of eachother, eyes locked. secretcalling The lithe silver tabby's indigo eyes narrowed dangerously as Claryfeather began to scream at him. He was taking deep breaths, rage bubbling inside of him. As she finished, his claws slid out, and he made a move towards his daughter. But then Avenstail was there, blocking him. He stopped. He realised what he had been going to do. Haunting memories filled his mind. He took a step back, ripping his gaze away from his son. "Fine. Go." His voice was barely more than a spit as he adressed Avenstail. "But don't think I'm going to accept you back when she leaves you for another tom, fool." With that he turned, leaving the camp with a lash of his tail.

claryfeather xxxxxxxxxxx As the rant of rage ended, Claryfeather was surprised at the way she had addressed her father. Ever since a young kit, she really didn't love her father the way any daughter should love their father. She couldn't stand the way he was so determined to win Wovenknot and her kits back. She couldn't stand his temper or the way he only loved Limestone. But she didn't ever say those things to him because she was afraid. But now she was a warrior and if Secretcalling despised her, so be it. She was ready for the fight as Secretcalling glared at her and unsheathed his claws. Thankfully Avenstail stepped in between them. Claryfeather almost smiled when Secretcalling agreed to let him go with Maplepool... But then she realized, she had only helped her brother get out of here. Oh, of course. She had to speak before thinking. Biting her lip to hold back tears, she watched her father storm away... He was so mad at her. "Those were horrible words but they are true," the black she-cat sighed softly. "Avenstail, you deserve Maplepool and you should go with her." Tears began falling from her bright green eyes. There was no more rage in her, just sadness that he brother would be gone soon.
