The Plot.

Anyway, as stated in the title, this will, indeed, be awkward. Anywho, I joined a while ago and have been dormant for a while. I'm not busy any more, and plan to start RPing soon. I talked to Aurry over AIM about it, and she told me about how the new plot is currently being drawn up, and there's something a little special I kinda wanna do that, if it's possible, I'd kinda like to be written in somewhere, if it's no big deal...^^;. I don't claim to know anything about the coming plot, but I guess what I want to do could be considered a side-plot, a detail, if you will.

Uhm, before I continue, I'm a good RPer and I know it. XD. Eagleh (whatever her name is here, I think it's Brindz or some such.) and Aurry can vouch for me, and if necessary I can provide links to examples of my RPing. And yes, I know I've been inactive here, but inspiration kinda slapped me in the face. Aurry talked to me a bit about the plot, mentioned stuff about other animals. I had an idea, we talked briefly about it, but she had to go before we really finished, and she said to talk to you about it.

Basically, I wanted to see if I could play a young otter who is found by one of the warriors - probably of EclipseClan or CloudClan, since they seem to have the most water - and can be brought in to the leader or the Clan itself, and they can decide what to do with it - he/she would be a very young pup of an otter, and, I dunno, could be taken in by said Clan, and could learn their ways, learn to communicate with them. Obviously, I haven't planned much out since to make this work, you would obviously have to make some changes to make it a more viable choice. But he/she could, say, be seen as an omen, good or bad, by some, I dunno.

Like I said, this idea is really elastic in it's nature, so tell me what you think and any changes that need to be made, and if it's okay with you. Aurry said it was pretty much up to you. And I'll be active, promise. XP

Thanks for making that poll, Shade. ^^. And yeah, I know it seems a bit 'big' of me to jump in with something like this, but otters are adorable, and this idea is definitely one that can be molded as is needed. I have RP examples, for those who want to see them, and Eagleh and Aurry can vouch for me (I hope they will, anyway. XP).

I don't have a doubt in Minty's skills once he learns the wonders of size formatting D: -noogies-
And I don't have a problem with him playing this role.
But uh, Shade, if you let Minty play an otter, then other people are gonna wanna play different animals ^^

That would be pretty interesting, Chesh...if this does happen, I'll definitely talk to you about it, it sounds like it would make his/her appearance even more eventful, or at least seem more symbolic. ^^

And yeah, I kinda realize about the whole 'other animals' thing, and I knew that would be one of the bigger issues, and to be honest there's not a lot I can say about the whole thing, as much as I'd like to. I mean, it's not like I can say I'll make sure no one else gets an animal. XP. But I figured I could probably get away with something like this, if I lie low and be a good boy. XP. But I think everyone here is mature enough and sensible enough to know not to go willy-nilly with the other animals, and I don't really think it should become a problem. But then, my opinion is probably a little biased, huh? XD

Uhm, just a few things...first of all, what would the reaction to the otter be, in general? I mean, let's use CloudClan, since due to Chesh's suggestion, that's probably where I'd introduce them. Would they name him like they would a Clan cat? And then, there's the whole communication thing. Would he be able to speak with the cats, or eventually learn their language? I'm not exactly sure what to think here, because it makes sense, and at the same time, doesn't really make any sense. Should he be unable to learn the language, or what certain things mean? It's really up to everyone else, since I just came up with the basic concept. ^^

Considering he's an otter pup, they'd probably call him, i dunno, Brownpup or whatever his prefix is ^______^

As for talking, I get the feeling he would learn the language slowly ^^ Like, at first not at all, then disjointed, then slightly disjointed, then flawless with an ottery accent : D

Uhm...basically, the point is to be taken in by one of the Clans and maybe cause some controversy, and is seen as a sign from StarClan by Otterspirit, as we spoke of in AIM...^^

<sub>*taps chin* I've made my stance clear about having other animals, especially since Karasu, Koji, and Shimo have gone away. I'm willing to let this other animals thing slide as long as it's for the plot. I don't want BRC turning into a Redwall RP. Perhaps there should be an add to the rules so that other people won't take this otter idea and run with it. Hell, I've got an NPC badger in BrightClan but he was something Aurora saved one and a half years ago on here, back when I first joined.

Minty's a good RPer but I really (like Spice) don't see the point of having another animal on a cat RP. Why does it have to be another animal instead of a cat being raised by an otter family so it acts like an otter and such? It could learn the ways of the Clan and the language but be very awkward and such, but it'll get to stay with the Clan (whereas an otter wouldn't be able to). Meh... Whatever the final decision is, I'll try and support it but I don't think this is necessary. I hope I'm not coming across as a narrow-minded prickly pear 'cause I'm willing to compromise...</sub>

I like that idea, Aurrie, of a cat being raised by otters. It stops the problem of other people wanting different species characters...

I think because so many people are unsure, that it would be better to do what Aurrie said, rather than having an otter. What d'you think about that, Minty?
