maplepaw The tom shivered in expectancy for Lilakit's reaction to this harsh reality he just explained to her, his deep green eyes focusing on her gently before his attention was shattered by Cascadepaw's voice, and he looked up to see her reaction, as he assumed, she had heard his explanation of death to the other she cat. A small smile lit up his saddened expression as he listened to her concern, but he simply blinked as he processed what she was saying so quickly, in true concern for him. "She's... not alright, I guess... depending on how you look at it" he mumbled confusedly, paws shuffling in front of him on the ground with the new presence of the she cat the same age of him. He moved closer to her as her eyes grew wide like Kinkajoukit's, and he frowned sympathetically, letting their pelts blend in pure friendship. Maplepaw agreed with what the other apprentice said though, and he nodded to show this, his face only appearing slightly happier with her cheering up. "I guess so" he spoke thoughtfully, quietly, though his green eyes hollowed in fear for a moment as he thought of where else his mother could be, except StarClan, he attempted to smile brightly. "You're right, Cascadepaw... she's in a happy place with endless prey" he spoke, in struggling brightness as he tried to ignore other, darker thoughts.

Mavericksky
:: [ I'm going in blind ] :: He swallowed a lump in his throat and turned away from Scrawltale as she spoke. "I understand," Mavericksky said quietly. The light-ginger tom shook his pelt and exited the warrior's den majestically. He looked out at all the others, frowning slightly at Sphinxtale for her wailing. He ignored her and made his way over to his apprentice.
"Forgive me. I lost myself," he said, his voice deeper and huskier than it was when he had first met Maplepaw as a kit. The young tom twitched his tail. "When you are finished here, meet me at the entrance to camp. It's time for teaching." He would train as hard as he could to distract himself from his mother. Emotions were not to be shown...Solsticesong This nightmare (This nightmare) won't last long. Are you scared? (Are you scared?) To sing this song. I'm right there (I'm right there) by your side. [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote] ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------She came almost as if she had been summoned by magic. The colossal she-cat appeared behind Kinkajoukit with a slow turn of the head downwards. "You should be in the nursery, Kinkajoukit," Solsticesong said, chewing absently on a leafstem. "Would you like to play a game?" She didn't want Kinkajoukit's nervous emotions being pinned up with the rampaging thoughts of everyone else. They would only get more agitated.

kinkajoukit The small tom gave mewed as the cats around him began to look as sombre as his mother. It was scary. The tbby tom whimpered under his breath, his light blue eyes like two large pools in his face. Kinkajoukit turned to Solsticesong as the large she-cat appeared beside him. He looked up at her with his wide blue eyes. "I followed Lilakit and Mummy," he mewed in a quiet voice. The little tom flattened his ears at her suggestion. "Game? What game? Like hide and seek?" The small tabby tom shuddered. "I don't like hide and seek." The tom looked around at the camp. Everything was so.. Messed up.
"Why is everyone all sad, Auntie Solsticesong?" he mewed innocently, his voice trembling slightly. It reminded him of the time when Amethyststar had died. That had scared him, too. Why was there so much... So much death?

maplepaw*__ do you believe in magic in a young girls heart? He smiled nervously at Cascadepaw and Lilakit, nervous about explaining so much and at the same time, afraid that he was showing what he was feeling so obviously, as he usually did. How he had second thoughts about where the dead were going now, with the new DeathClan into play. How were they supposed the be reassured their ancestors were going to endless prey, instead, otherwise, being enslaved by some brutal (and probably hideous) cat to kill their loved ones, their kin, with no abash. He imagined the leader of this all, sucking out all heart and emotion a cat may have, everything that makes a cat , a cat, anything that would give it any opposing thoughts, or free will, gone. Was there even a StarClan anymore? Did Amethyststar go to StarClan, or would she come back to kill her clan?
It scared him, it really did. So when his mentor came up to him, and told him when he was done, and they could start training, he attempted a smile, and still shivering in shock and fear shakily touched noses in a friendly manor to Lilakit and Cascadepaw and before saying farewell, his deep green eyes turned to Lilakit "why don't you play a game with Kinkajoukit and Solsticesong, try to cheer your brother up?" he tried to suggest helpfully as his gaze wandered over the dazed, frightened kit with the older she cat and he half-smiled helplessly, his thin silver frame turning around, his tailtip gently flicked Cascadepaw's ear as he passed, searching for his mentor by where Mavericksky suggested he should look for him. Cascadepaw smiled, but Maplepaw still seemed hesitant. Everyone was so sad! She was just as confused as Petaldance's kits, probably. Why had Mahogonyflight fought with Toweringheart? Why had Sphinxtail sobbed and weeped when none of her other siblings had? Not much made sense in the moons following the battle, she decided, especially if your leader died a few moons ago and you weren't made an apprentice until after the battle. Cascadepaw glanced towards the apprentice's den, but for once she didn't scream out her brother or sister's name. For once, she stayed quiet. Cascadepaw pressed against Maplepaw, hoping, wishing that he had all the answers. When he left, Cascadepaw watched him go and called, "Bye Maplepaw! Have fun!"

Hickorykit
I've been awake for a while now You've got me feelin' like a child now
'Cause every time I see your bubbly face I get the tinglies in a silly place
Hickorykit edged her way out of the darkness. She'd seen enough for her liking. The tears had ceased, and her cheeks were slowly drying. Her slate blue eyes drifted to Cascadepaw and Maplepaw. The bubbly apprentice probably had a hard time relating. After all, it wasn't her mother who had died. The young kitten sighed. She had no family. She would rather that her mother had died than just disappearing and leaving her behind to drown in the frothing river. The EclipseClanner shuddered at the dreadful memory. As much as she tried to shove it away and forget it all, it came back to haunt her, asleep or awake.
The she-kit padded towards Kinkajoukit. The poor tom was frightened so easily. Hickorykit was truly sympathetic for him. She kept going forth until she stood next to him, but then her gaze flew to her paws faster than she could imagine. Instead of resting her tail-tip upon his shoulder, it wrapped around her, the tip twitching now and then shyly. Whenever she planned how to react to a cat as she walked toward them, she had everything perfect, as any other cat would respond. But it never turned out that way when he got to them. Instead, her shy nature would get the best of her, as it did now, and she would remain silent.
Her slate blue optics drifted back up to Kinkajoukit's form. She slowly stepped back, not having noticed that the tom and Solsticesong had been lightly engaged in conversation. Hickorykit bit her lip, then stared nervously back down her paws. At least he had someone to comfort him when he was upset.

She laid down by the kit, putting her large foreleg around him into a fluffy hug. A massive tent of fur surrounded Kinkajoukit and he looked like an owl peeking out of a hairy tree. The white and black she-cat smiled at him. "How about we sneak up on Hickorykit or Lilakit and then run away really fast?" the large she-cat said playfully. She wagged her tail.Grebekit // And we're standing one and all fighting till we FALL // Grebekit, of course, didn't have a kind comment to say really. She didn't understand what was going on at first, frowning at the fact that everyone was nervous. She looked up at her mother, frowning even more when she saw the emotion there. "Momma! Stop your cryin'!" she said, stamping her foot on the ground. The tortoiseshell kitten puffed out her chest. "I don't wanna see my momma cryin'. That's for kits, and you don't see me cryin'!" She jumped up, pressing her paws onto her mother's shoulder to lick her cheek.

kinkajoukit Kinkajoukit pressed himself against Solsticesong's thick fur as she curled up around him. It was like being surrounded by a warm cloud. At least, he thought so. He didn't know what a cloud felt like. Kinkajoukit raised a paw experimentally, before realising that he would not be able to touch the clouds, no matter how high he stretched. With a tearful sniff he looked up at Solsticesong. "Not Hickorykit," he mewed in a small voice. "It might frighten her." The little tom noticed the she-cat in question stood nearby. He disentangled the paw he had tried to touch the clouds with and waved it awkwardly. "Hullo."
Kinkajoukit looked at Solsticesong with his large blue eyes glistening. "Can you be Hickorykit's auntie, too, Auntie Solsticesong?" he asked, his tail waggling slightly behind. He seemed to have forgotten about the death of Sunheart, until Grebekit loudly announced her presence. At this, he gave a tiny sniff and quailed.

ooc;; Shade told me I could just post with Lonepaw back at camp now, so...
bic;;
What happened? Lonepaw
Lonepaw was curled up in a nest in the Medicine den. She had been out for quite some time. She didn't know that Amethystatar and Sunheart died. Lonepaw awoke. She stretched gingerly, thinking that all that had happened was a dream. She looked forward to going out and training with her mentor. She bounded out of her nest only to stop because the pain hurt. She slowed down and limped out into the clearing. She blinked the sleep from her eyes as she looked around. Her eyes took in the sadness of what had happened. She limped over to Pantherstealth. She didn't know that Mplepaw was an apprentice, Nor did she know that Toweringheart, Mavericksky, Mahoganyflight and Sphinxtale had gotten their warrior's names. She stopped and sat down next to him. 'Pantherstealth, what happened? Why is Sunheart lying so still? Why do Maverickpaw, Mahoganypaw, Sphinxpaw, Toweringpaw and Maplekit look so sad?' She mewed. She looked confused. She knew who could clear it up for her. 'Where's Amethyststar? I need to talk to her.' She mewed. [/blockquote]

pantherstealth Pantherstealth turned as a small, confused voice sounded behind him. The tom blinked at Lonepaw. The apprentice had been curled in her nest permenantly since she had been brought back from the battle. The lithe, dappled tom shivered. She had missed so much. The warrior pressed his nose to Petaldance's quivering side, and led Lonepaw back to the medicine den. He still walked slightly gingerly, being careful not to move his throat to violently. It felt fragile, as though it was made up of dry, dead leaves.
"You've missed a lot, Lonepaw," he mewed, his voice oddly gentle, most unlike him. "You've been out since the battle. It's Maviercksky, Mahoganyflight, Sphinxtale, Toweringheart and Maplepaw, now. And Sunheart..." He sighed. "Sunheart is dead." A look of deep misery came over the rangy warrior as the confused apprentice mentioned Amethyststar. His half-sister. "Amethyststar is dead, too," he mewed bluntly, too sad to spare Lonepaw's tattered sense of time.

No, it can't be true. Lonepaw
Lonepaw blinked up at Pantherstealth as he navigated her toward the Medicine den. She stopped as he started to speak. 'Well, congratulations to them.' Her voice was oddly flat. She went to ask for Amethyststar again when she heard the ill fated words. 'No... then... Fernpelt is our new leader? Who is deputy?' She mewed quite calmly. She sounded calm, but her mind was a mess. Sunheart died?! Amethyststar died!? 'It can't be true... Amethyststar just gave me a mentor... yesterday! Wasn't it? No... Wait... how long ago was the battle?' She mewed, suddenly scared of hearing how much time she missed. 'Ame- no, Fernpelt will hold me back, now, won't she? I missed alot of training.' All of this was starting to become too much for her. She shook her head. It seemed as though she was confused, her voice came out calm. 'I thought I died... I saw my father... and Rogueclaw.... Who else died?' She mewed, wondering who else needed to suffer. [/blockquote]

She lifted her head and saw Glacierfrost, smiling at him before looking back down at Kinkajoukit. "How about we go over and see how she's doing, and get away from noisy Grebekit?" The massive she-cat chuckled at that, lurching to her paws and looked down at Kinkajoukit.
"I'm going to talk to Glacierfrost, dear. Why don't you go over and talk to Hickorykit?" Solsticesong touched Kinkajoukit on the nose kindly and walked away, heading for her mate.

pantherstealth Pantherstealth could see that the news was distressing Lonepaw. His amber eyes narrowed in sympathy. He had missed a lot himself, being in a coma too. Just not for as long as the she-cat. "It hasn't been long," he mewed patiently. "Lonepaw, not many apprentices have been training recently. You're no further behind than them." The dappled brown tom nodded. "Yes, Fernpelt is leader of EclipseClan, now," he mewed. "But she's going to have kits. She's going to give birth, then travel to the Moonshard to recieve her name and nine lives. The other clan queens will take care of her litter."
Pantherstealth's amber eyes became soft. "Nobody else died," he mewed, touching Lonepaw between the ears with his nose. "You should go back to the medicine den. I'll ask Cascadepaw to bring you some fresh kill." kinkajoukit Kinkajoukit nodded at the big warrior's suggestion. As much as he loved his noisy sister, who was the one who stood up for him most fiercely, she did hammer on his eardrums a bit. The little tabby tottered after Solsticesong, but stopped, tail drooping between his legs, at her words. His eyes shut, then grew large again. "O-okay." The kitten turned back and padded slowly over to Hickorykit, His paws quivered as he walked. He hated meeting new cats. Nobody seemed to like him much, so he doubted that Hickorykit would. Kinkajoukit sat down about a tail length away from the other kit, then edged closer to her, centimetre by painstaking centimetre.
The kit's large, glistening blue eyes flicked to look at Hickorykit. "H-h-hi," he squeaked out, his voice high and nervous. The kit then looked at his paws, fur bristling and ears flattened, ready for an insult.

O-Okay.. Lonepaw
Lonepaw looked up at Pantherstealth. 'Good... then I will still be made a warrior with my denmates... Wait... How long is not very long?' She inquired. She had no idea if another gathering was coming up, if a gathering had just past. She nodded at his request. 'Okay, but Littlefox and Prophecypaw aren't there... what if I need them?' She asked. Her stomach gave an unnecessary growl. 'Yeah, I think you're right... food would be a good idea.' She mewed sheepishly. 'Wait!' She suddenly called out. She limped over to Sunheart's cooling body and groomed it a couple of times. 'I hope Starclan recieve you with open arms.' She murmured to the dead queen. She looked up at Fernpelt. 'Congratulations on becoming leader.' She mewed, then hurried back to Pantherstealth. 'I had to say goodbye.' She mumbled.

Hickorykit
I've been awake for a while now You've got me feelin' like a child now
'Cause every time I see your bubbly face I get the tinglies in a silly place
Hickorykit flattened her ears as she over heard Solsticesong's suggestion for a game, but then they perked again and she smiled warmly as Kinkajoukit opposed the thought. Her slate blue eyes were still set on her somewhat large paws, but they finally drifted up to the two cats when the tomkit asked for the warrioress to be her 'auntie.' Her optics glinted with sheepish happiness.
But her pretty orbs shot wide when Solsticesong urged Kinkajoukit to converse with her. She tried to creep away while he was still next to her, but it was in vain. Hickorykit stepped forward to the other, her limp tail dragging behind her. The kitten bit her lip nervously, then opened her mouth to speak after he greeted her, but no words came out for moments on end. Eventually, a sound came out. "H-h-hi, K-Kinkajouk-kit."

kinkajoukit Kinkajoukit's confidence level edged higher as Hickorykit spoke back to him. He was relieved to hear that she sounded just as nervous as him. He wondered why. She wasn't small and wimpy and... She was... She just wasn't. The small tom looked at the ground with his huge blue eyes for a moment, then let them flick at the other kit. "S-so..." he mewed shakily. "W-w-we could p-play a g-g-game..." He shuffled his paws, embarrased. His nervous stutter had returned to haunt his lips. "I-I-I mean if y-you don't w-w-want to..." Kinkajoukit looked pleadingly at Solsticesong. It wasn't fair. Why did Lilakit and Grebekit and everybody find it so easy to talk to people?
For Kinkajoukit, it was not a small matter. First you had to think of something to say. Then you actually had to generate enough courage to say it. It wasn't easy, when your tongue felt like it was permenantly wrapped in cotton wool. Kinkajoukit thought about Cascadepaw, a former denmate of his. She had loads of words. He was sure she had some spare. He thought about asking her, but he wasn't sure if you could share words...

costanokit. A bundle of fur uncurled in the nursery and Costanokit made his way out into the startling brightness of day. He blinked twice and looked around him. He saw his brother, Kinkajoukit, standing with Hickorykit, and made his way over to them, his patched pelt stirring in the breeze. He bounced up with a wide smile on his face, but it dropped a little as he continued to look around and saw other cats looking distinctly depressed. "Kinkajoukit, Hickorykit, has something happened? I mean, everyone can't still be sad about Amethyststar, right? She'll be safe in StarClan by now." he said, sitting down and tilting his head to one side as he waited for one of the other kits to answer him. fernpelt. The pretty tortoiseshell nuzzled Beacansong's shoulder and smiled halfheartedly at him. "I feel fine. Well, as fine as can be expected, I suppose." she said. In actual fact, she had a growing worry inside her that she wouldn't be able to live up to the Clan's expectations as leader. Was she really ready for this? Instead of sharing her worry with her mate she put another half smile on her face and turned to Lonepaw. "Thank you, Lonepaw. I hope you feel better now."

pantherstealth Pantherstealth opened his mouth, trying to stem the flow of confused questions that was pouring from Lonepaw's mouth. But then she seemed to get a grip on herself, and think practically. The lithe, dark brown dappled tom watched as the apprentice padded to Sunheart's body, obviously saying goodbye, then approached Fernpelt. It was good of the apprentice, he thought, to remember her duties to other cats even when she was in such a state of distress. "You go and wait in the medicine den," he advised Lonepaw when she returned, before padding over to the pure-white shape that was Cascadepaw. "Cascadepaw, can you take some food to Lonepaw? She's in the medicine den," he mewed. He smiled. "Be gentle though. She's a bit behind, you could say."
Turnning around, the tom spotted his son, Costanokit, tottering across the clearing confusedly to Kinkajoukit and Hickorykit. Pantherstealth approached the three kits, arriving in time to hear Costanokit's question. He scooped up the grey and white kit, and carried him over to Petaldance. He then sat his son down between his front paws. "It's not Amethyststar, Costanokit, it's Sunheart," he explained to the bemused little tom. "She just joined StarClan." He prayed his words were true.

I thought it was all done and over with... Lonepaw
Lonepaw stumbled into the medicine den. She stopped, then came back out. 'Pantherstealth? Thank you so much.' She stumbled back into the medicine den, reaching her nest. She lay there, considering everything Pantherstealth had told her. Amethyststar is dead. And I didn't even get to say goodbye... Lonepaw started to cry silently as she remembered this last detail. Amethyststar had been so kind to her. She had saved Lonepaw's life during the battle. 'I'll miss you, Amethyststar.' She murmured. [/blockquote]

Hickorykit
I've been awake for a while now You've got me feelin' like a child now
'Cause every time I see your bubbly face I get the tinglies in a silly place
"W-well, we can if y-you would like. I d-d-don't mind," she mewed, knowing that he wasn't a big fan of games. At least she wasn't alone in her shyness. Her stance wasn't as rigid; she relaxed a little bit. Her tail began to lightly tap the ground subconciously with slight contentment. Hickorykit noticed his gaze flicker back to Solsticesong and felt bad for him. She knew that he had a far harder time with conversation than she did, and she was bad enough.
The she-kit nearly jumped out of her fur as another cat arrived and spoke. Her head shot to the source, her slate blue eyes wide with slight alarm. She relaxed quickly, though, recognizing Costanokit. She smiled sheepishly, embarrassed for being so startled. Hickorykit opened her maw to speak, but Pantherstealth answered first. The she-kit simply nodded in grave agreement. Why did everyone have to keep dying?
[/blockquote] Barracudapaw Don't waste your time on me You're already the voice inside my head The bubbly, deformed apprentice bounced happily from his den. He jumped to and fro, eventually stopping to check out the camp. His tail swung back and forth rapidly with his aimless excitement, fueled by sheer energy. His giant fangs jutted from his mouth with took the shape of a grin. But that smile soon dropped as he felt the gloom. His waving tail froze suddenly, then dropped to the ground with a faint 'pfft.' Something was wrong. His thought were identical to young Costanokit's: everyone couldn't still be sad about Amethyststar, right? He'd been in the medicine cat's den for some time like Lonepaw, but he knew what was happening outside. Now that he'd been released, he knew nothing of within. Barracudapaw hobbled forward on his three legs to the source of the commotion, where everyone appeared to be gathered. "What's haffenin'?" he inquired to no one in particular, his saber-like teeth slurring his voice. Nonetheless, it was loud and clear as can be, expectant of an answer. He began to weave about to see for himself seconds later. The apprentice then spotted Sunheart's limp body. His one eye suddenly clouded with sadness. "Oh..."[/blockquote]

//It's about time I start posting with my eclipseclanners -looks disstressed-// a year goes by and I can't talk about it Rippedear the times weren't right and I can't talk about it Light blue orbs that were filled to the brim with sorrow, first Amethyststar now Sunheart. The amber coat of the femme lay flat, almost looked lifeless, her white paws didn't look very white because of her hunting trip in some mud. Even if she hadn't cried since she had spoken to Honeyblood that one day when he and Miserypaw almost got into a bad fight, she, Ravortomb, and Mapleheart had to get involved. But now Mapleheart disappeared and Miserypaw was being seen less and less around camp by the short-haired amber femme. Her lithe body looked slumped and broken but she was as fine as little Grebekit, Rippedear's light blue irises lifted from the ground to try and find her young friend, Honeyblood.Glacierstripe A thousand broken hearts And a thousand broken wingsA broken silver and gray shape was crumpled at the edge of the clearing, ice blue eyes shone with endless tears. Even if others might not have been hit by Amethyststar's death, the silver tabby and the few family she had still grieved for her. Now the ice blue orbs of the femme grieved even more for the clans beloved Sunheart, the silver femme didn't know how bad the female rex's death would hit her but her heart wasn't a block anymore. It had melted into pain-lusting blood, she knew she had a heart now and she didn't know if she could train Yarrowpaw in her state of mental health. Glacierstripe got to her paws finally after grieving for awhile, her white paws felt fragile instead of strong, infact, her whole body felt fragile and she felt like she wouldn't be able to step but that's how she had been feeling since her aunt had been killed by her own cousin. How Glacierstripe hated that tom, she hated every mind that thought of him as a good, kind-hearted male that was sent from Starclan, from what she's heard Corbynfeather deserved to dark depths of the tribe where he can't even leave the skies. "We'll miss you Sunheart, please tell our beloved ancestors that we will always love them" The silver tabby whispered a prayer to the red rex as she knew that femme was being guided to Starclan.
